Hobbies:Cooking -- Luke loves to cook! He loves food! He loves sharing recipes and keeps a whole compendium of them in a file box! He doesn't have any secret recipes, because he seasons his food with instinct, you see. With feeling. He will, however, get into impassioned debates with people at cookouts as to the proper temperature of porkchops, because they should never be pink, but why are they shoe-leather, Brenda?! If anyone's hungry when they get to his house, he does he best to ensure that they're no longer hungry when they leave. Sad? Have some pie. Stressed? Here's something with mint in it to settle your stomach. He even has his own tea blends! He doesn't sell them, but will heap them on you if you only ask.
Dancing -- He's always loved dancing. He met his wife at a high school dance, where she was thankfully a good sport about him asking her to dance because he is, uh... Well, he's bad at it. Three left feet kind of bad. But what he lacks in ability he makes up for in enthusiasm. People making fun of his dancing rolls right off, because he's not dancing to be good, he's dancing for fun! He likes putting on music and vibing in his office to take a break, or dancing with his wife--who is a professional dancer and still a very good sport about it.
Fantasy Sports -- It's the statistics, okay? He doesn't actually know a damn thing about the logistics of football or baseball, and he's okay with that. But combing through records and compiling teams basted on probability is a nice wind-down activity for him and sometimes he wins money because of it. He refuses to get into arguments about it with other people, though. It's fantasy sports! If he wanted arguments, he'd coach a Little League game.
Virtues:Warm -- Luke loves people and getting to know them. He's gregarious and friendly and ready to offer a place to stay to anyone who needs it (just ask his youngest son's husband!), or even just a hot meal if someone wants breakfast. Yes, he'll loan you five bucks, and don't worry about paying it back--he's not going to miss five dollars. He strives to make sure that Safira rarely needs to ask for his help because he's already offering it. Need a ride, or a hug, or just someone to talk to? Luke's your guy, and he'll even dispense with Fatherly Wisdom(tm) if needed. Be careful, or else you might just find yourself adopted!
Sympathetic -- Luke loves people, and he's keenly interested in how they're doing. If someone's upset, it's time to swoop in and see what he can do about that. You can tell him to go away and he will--boundaries are healthy!--but he'll be waiting in the wings for when you feel like reaching out. He donates readily and often, both to charity and to people who ask. GoFundMe represents a not-insignifcant portion of his discretionary spending, and he's given people rides to out-of-area doctors. Find yourself in a spot of trouble? Even if it's your fault, he'll generally and within reason try to help ease it for you however he can.
Easygoing -- Luke loves people, even if they're a bit difficult to get along with. He isn't offended by much as long as people don't come after his family or livelihood. He rolls well with setbacks and is liable to chalk unfortunate events up to 'learning experience' or 'building character'--including his own! He doesn't like abrupt changes in plans, but what can you do?
Flaws:Bleeding Heart -- Luke loves people, and sometimes that bites him in the behind. He's not naive, but he can sometimes overextend himself for someone with a sob story. Sometimes that person really did have another ride, but they wanted one that was willing to go along (however begrudgingly) with the seventeen unplanned stops they wanted to make along the way. Even though it made him late to work. He'll protest that it was really no big deal, even though it ends up with him having to overcompensate in other places, like staying late or giving up a weekend. He was late to his own wedding because he stopped to help someone with a flat tire.

Moody -- Luke loves people, and he occasionally has feelings about it. Sometimes he sulks about it when he gets frustrated, rather than confront the problem head-on. He strives not to be passive-aggressive, but do you remember how you kept asking him to stop at like, seventeen places on what was supposed to be a simple ride? Pepperidge Farm remembers. And you did it the next time too? He finally told you to stop, or plan your day better, but he also went home and made the world's most sullen chicken soup with grouchy little star noodles.
Nosy -- Luke loves people, but sometimes can't leave well-enough alone. His intentions are good, but intentions don't really help when the impact is that he finds out something he didn't want to know or something that the person didn't want him to know--and now there's potentially resentment! Even though he tries to respect boundaries, he has been known to eavesdrop a time or two when something was clearly up and it seemed serious, but the person involved didn't want to tell him. He's spoiled surprise events, too, like when his wife wanted to propose to him, and he managed to uncover that Ignacio was Encke because of asking too many questions.

Body Type: Luke is around 6'7"/~2.00m tall, with long limbs. He is not terribly athletic, but retains some of his youthful lankiness.
Clothes: Luke dresses in business attire for when he goes into the office, but for comfort when he doesn't. He wears jeans and t-shirts generally, but the t-shirts tend to be either brightly coloured or have contrast parts that are. He doesn't really wear jewelry aside from his wedding band.
