[Lost Soul Of Night]

Solar Rain is Asleep ● ● ●

Solar Rain falls over onto his couch and falls asleep...again... after telling his guards to wake him up an hour after sunrise and with the rest of the night being uneventful a new day Dawns on the island of Packittoo and on a whole new Age of Harmony

Oh, Our Cookies: Everyone is asleep, save for one other person that has no one else to interact with, obvious time-skip is obvious. This is to help start off the new day.

A few hours later...

More and more ships were docking along the new port town as the sun broke the horizon, and among the many elk and ponies was a single crystalline unicorn, whose emerald green color shone and sparkled from the sunlight. Shortly after it disembarked one of the smaller ships, it stopped to open one of the smaller crates it was hauling, only to pull out a simplistic violin, only to stand up on its hind legs immediately after and prepare to play it, as if it was left-hooved.

While it wasn't the song that caused many of the sailors to pause to observe, it was the unicorn's peculiar style of dancing that earned more than the average stare, as well as the assumption that the crystal pony was female. The dancing, combined with the effects of the sun light, was more than enough for the unicorn to receive the kind of praise that a performer would in a brothel. When the performance came to an end, most of the observers had little time to applaud before being scolded back to work. The unicorn simply bowed, praise or no praise, before putting the instrument in a case befitting it, which she carried with her, ultimately turning towards the castle as if she was going to head there next.

The next morning the princess rolled out of bed, clattering to the floor in a comical fashion as her head poked up from the blanket that fluttered over her form after she fell. "Damn it," she said, shaking her mane and tail whilst rising unceremoniously. The maid, who had come to wake her, snickered at the comical scene. Artemis couldn't help but laugh at her own antics and how unbecoming she was being. The maid excused herself to start on another part of the room, allowing the alicorn the time to wash herself up, use her magic to brush her main and tail and so on. Gazing into the mirror, her purple orbs checked over her sparkling mane and tale before nodding with approval. Artemis didn't care for finery, but she wasn't going to go around like a complete ruffian. Poking her head out the window, her nostrils drew in the breeze and climbed onto the sill, jumping and taking flight. [******** the court," she muttered. Landing at the edge of the forest, Artemis took a deep breath before going in, picking her way through the leaves and bushes. "I will meet this island guardian myself."

A loud thud woke the pegasus pony, lifting herself up off the ground as she looked around. She must have dozed off while hollowing the log for the clock inner workings. Stretching a bit, Gadget pulled her cloak on and headed out. The body of the clock was almost done so today she would be working on decorations and such. She stopped at a small cafe that was still establishing itself, taking a seat and waiting to order. Maybe she should do less late nights for work. Grandfather clocks were a lot of work though.

Oh, Our Cookies: More post, tried to keep some realism with it: Royal figure stands on castle wall, royal figure gonna get noticed.

As the sun was rising upon the island, Cobalt Lightning was awoken from his nap by the activity of the various soldiers. A bit groggy, he slowly arose from the bed he temporarily claimed in the barracks, only to be met by a pegasus whom seemed to be in distress. "Cobalt Lightning, your highness" he said as he bowed, obviously distraught. The title, however, caused the orange unicorn to groan in disapproval, replying with "You don't bow to earned royalty. Out with it." The demand was made just as the current leader of the guardsmen was entering the barracks, only to catch the two beginning to converse.

"Her Majesty Artemis of Equestria arrived sometime last last night, but I saw her leaving town, headed south towards the forest."
"Ugh, of course she is. We'll have one of the scouts keep an eye on her, then."
"That's not possible, sir: They already left" the sergeant chimed in.
Hrm. And if what I heard of her is true, she came without a sentinel. I'll go after her myself, inform the prince when he gets up."
"Sir? I could go after her."
"I appreciate the initiative, but no, we're under-hooved here enough as it is. You did well to bring the news to me, I'll be sure to let the beneficiarii know of the deed, so expect a bonus near the end of the month."

After his last sentence, Cobalt Lightning quickly headed to another part of the castle, which looked to be a makeshift armory, before grabbing a small blade with an intriguing design and ultimately headed to the forest itself. Without flight, however, it could take quite a bit of time to play catch up.

Solar Rain is woken up to see that it is indeed an hour past the sunrise he starts to put on his finery when he is told about Artemis and Cobalt Lighting he looks to the Guard that had told him this his anger apprent "Go wake Sapphire Shield she is in the Guard Commander's Cottage and be quick!" he shouts for a messenger who arrives quickly" go into town and tell them that Court is delayed til Tomorrow" he then Rushes to the Armory and grabs his great-sword"Damn them to Tartarus! if they get caught by one of the creatures that roam this Island even Cobalt would struggle! he tells the Guards to make sure that Sapphire knew that he was headed to the East forest and if he did not return in a day she was to inform his mother and she would be in charge he then took off out a window

The jungle made noises as a jungle would always would. It was as if Fate was guiding her, and it most definitely was. By now, she was about a mile or so into the forest, the lush vegetation brushing her legs as she trudged. No doubt, also, her dear cousin was also already angry with her entering of her own accord. However, he could not impede on the call of Fate. A singing in her ears made her follow the unpredictable path, the twigs and leaves snapping on the ground as she walked. Artemis's eyes were glowing a faint purple, the pupil and iris consumed by the glow. "Epona, the Mother Mare," she called into the forest, calling for the pony who was rumored to be in tune with the island. The real reason she was sent here was to guide the hands of fate, for evil had landed on the island. A black evil so dark that it pulsated like a disgusting heart pumping sludge into someone's very veins. As of now, Artemis had taken a back seat in the consciousness with Cosmos alone guiding her. The goddess also went by another name, Gaia, but Epona was her true name, the mother of all things living. Soleil, Athena, Hecate and Thoth were all here, as well as a few others but they had not awakened.

Oh, Our Cookies: I thought Epona was the iconic horse belonging to an elf that uses a triangle of bravery or something.

As Cobalt Lightning was finally reaching the woods, he slowed a bit from the fatigue, enough that he actialyl slowed to a walk as he moved past the various brush and foliage. "Artemis! If you were my own, I'd slap you for your impatience!" the unicorn called out with the goal of her hearing him. While it more than likely wouldn't reach her ears, the call did one of the three scouts from hours before "Oy, Cobalt! If you're looking for that alicorn, he kept headed south, further in the woods" the pegasus explained, landing momentarily by the unicorn. "I tracked 'im about a kilometer further, but lost 'im behind the vegetation. He's likely further than that by now."

"Alright, thank you. And if anyone asks, neither of us are here" Cobalt replied, leaving the scout to give a short salute and take off again while the unicorn continued his pursuit. All the while, he kept angrily muttering to himself, although lack of sleep could have contributed into getting him lost. "Artemis, where the bloody hell are you?" he called out again as he tried to figure out which direction he came from.

Hollowed Fate wakes up to the feeling of danger. She jumps up and rushes out of her broken shack to see her sleeping hydra still forming a circle around the hut. "So meany ponies, I feel warriors and alicorns. Why would such forces come here, and what is that dark power? Why would Solar Rain invite such a being to my island?" Confused and slightly panicked, she leaps over the hydra and rushes to the nearest aura she could sense. It was a alicorn, though she didn't know the pony it came from. It must be one of the meany new ponies who came during the night. Hollowed Fate quickly makes her way through the woods to try to find some answers to what was going on. As she draws near to the alicorn, she can feel the another pony tracking something through her woods. 'First I will see what these two are doing here, than deal with the dark presence.' She finaly sees the alicorn who resembled the night sky. "Hello miss, might I ask what you are up to?" Hollowed Fate keeps her distance, her body acting like natural camouflage in the brush. She carefully watches the alicorn, to see weather she is a threat or is hiding from the hunting pegasus.

Spying the island bound being, the purple-hazed eyes half-lidded themselves in greeting, the smile on the alicorn's face genius. "I greet thee, Epona, from a fellow Guardian of Equestria and entire world itself. Thou hast not awakened yet, but ye the time will come when thou art needed. I reside in this vessel here, just as thou art in thy current vessel yonder before mine eyes. I greet thee with warmest salutations but bring the grievous news. Something hast brought itself to the island and threatens the peace that holds it together. Nay, for thou knowst not of what I speak, pray that thou would befriend and drive the darkness hither onto oblivion. That, or I fear to thy safety, sister." Of course, Hollowed Fate was not expected to understand it all, but it was obvious something more was in the works and threatening the peace of the island and all of the world itself. As soon as Cosmos had spoken, Artemis's eyes faded back to their usual color. Her legs buckled and went from underneath her, causing the princess to groan and fall to the ground.

"Epona, I have heard that name in stories told by my parents but..." She walks to the alicorn to see if she is not hurt. "Who are you, and do you speak of the dark pony who has found his way onto the island?" Hallowed fate was hoping to find some answers from this pony but only found more questions. "My apologies are you alright?" She holds out her hoof to the strange pony, while she tries to keep a mental eye on the other pony who wanders the woods.

A restlessness plagued Sabas' mind throughout the night and into the early hours of dawn. Accepting Gadget's generous offer of resting in her bed for the night he couldn't remember much after that, apart from this mare escorting him up the stairs and into her quint home. When Gadget had mentioned the word 'prince' he felt the darkness within him stir. Was this the same prince he wanted to overthrow with a vengeance? Or another of royal blood from the main land of Equestria? Mumbles and slight movements soon turned to thrashing of hooves in mid-air. "NOOOOOO!" A loud yelp echoed in the room as Sabas suddenly fell out of bed - cloak, blankets, and all. THUMP! he managed to land in an ungraceful heap on the floor. "Wha-?" Still somewhat groggy it took him a moment to realize where he was and how late into the morning he slept in. Then staggering up onto his hooves the dark stallion summoned a hint of renewed magic energy to pick up his cloak off the floor and fastened it properly around his neck. Leaving Gadget's bedroom as is he quietly ventured back down the stairs to her shop area. Silently listening for any ponies present his ears turned in all directions. Yet there was no sound nor hair of anyone around. "Now where, oh where, did my charming hostess run off to?" A sly smile appeared on his muzzle in amusement. With the room brightened by daylight he could closely admire some of the detailed work Gadget put into her clock pieces. Pausing for a few minutes he snooped around yet careful not to touch anything laying out in the open.

As Sabas was about to step towards the front door he spotted what appeared to be pieces of cherry wood, prepared to be made into Solar Rain's special clock. Just then an evil sinker escaped from under his breath. Why hadn't he thought of it before? Unsure who was to be the owner of this clock-in-the-making he summoned some energy for a dark spell. Aiming the tip of his horn to the cheery wood pieces his horn suddenly became surrounded by a deep red aura. Flow of magic and tales of old, unleash darkness when time be told! Unleashing a spell the stallion put a curse on what would become a clock once Gadget was done crafting it. Until then bits of dark energy were stored in mini red diamonds forming within the wooden pieces.

Once that was done, Sabas swivelled about and strutted out of Gadget's shop. Curiously looking around to see what made this town civilized he heard (or rather felt) a grumble from his stomach. Whispered curses were mumbled outloud, knowing he should stop to eat before continuing on his way. And hopefully run into Gadget one more time. Finally he found a cafe' looking establishment and invited himself inside. Ruby eyes shifted to and from taking in every detail of his surroundings. Just then a familiar pony caught his gaze. Ah-ha! Found you my pretty one. Swift and light on his hooves, Sabas attempted to sneak up behind Gadget. "And how is my charming hostess this morning? Hmmmmm? I thought I scared you out of your own home."

Aurora Smiled as she snuggles with her blanket and pillows, as if to argue with the light from the window. She was enjoying the rest witch was over due by the time she left the boat. Finally giving into the sun light that had found its way to a mirror and reflected off into her eyes, she got up and stretched.

Feeling the fresh and mysterious air, she grabbed her water container and strapped it to her then headed down stairs. She was feeling the need to explore the new island and to find a water source to practice by. Before heading, she left a note by the tea pot.

I have left to find a water source that i may use to practice and meditate near. I heard there was a river to the west. If you need me, you can send a message via dragon fire. I will be home in a bit.

Gadget had just finished ordering when she heard a voice behind her, making her jump. She turned and saw it was her guest. "Oh, I'm fine. A bit tired from working but grandfather clocks take time. I was going to bring back a sandwich for you since I haven't exactly stocked up my fridge. You can sit if you'd like." She said, gesturing over to the other seat. "Not much will scare me out of anything. Seen a lot over the years." She adjusted her cloak, making sure she was covered though it was a bit long when sitting down. "I forgot we never introduced ourselves. I'm Gadget Gears. I run the clock shop."

Sleeping it was a habit Sapphire avoided getting into, so when she awoke to the sounds of pounding at her front door, and the light from outside brightening the back of her curtains, she knew without a doubt she'd slept in. Jumping out of bed the blankets came with her tangling themselves up in her feet the insistent pounding only became louder. Cursing under her breath she managed to escape the web of blankets and raced to the the front door throwing it open.
"Yes! Hi! Is everything ok?!" still groggy and trying to make sense of her own words she had to fight not to trip over Sapphire could only imagine what she looked like. Her mane and tail were probably a tangled disheveled mess, and it was very obvious by that fact and the still heavy eyelids that she'd just woken up.
The stallion who'd been knocking like the devil had been loosed on the world cleared his throat before answering "Um, Yes...Sapphire Shield, Prince Solar Rain has rushed into the forest due to a situation that has occurred. He did not have time to retrieve you himself."
Sapphire blinked in surprise, not even 24hours on the island and already something was going on. If it hadn't been a big deal he would've come to get her himself, or at least sent someone who wouldn't have pounded on her door as if they were trying to break it down. "What's happened?!" Gathering her wits Sapphire snapped into guard mode, even her stance straightened, poised and ready for any threat.
"Her Majesty Artemis arrived late last night, she was spotted leaving town alone, Cobalt Lightning I believe has gone after her as well in hopes of catching up. This island can be extremely dangerous so it is imperative that they find her unharmed. All three seem to have headed East mam. As Captain of the Guard what is it you wish us to do?"
"Have scouts been sent out?" she asked, steel in her voice.
"None have seen her that I know of, but they were out before she left."
"Post guards at intervals near the treeline, ensure they have medical supplies in the case they return and need immediate assistance. Group a few more scouts and send them in the direction the three of them went, parties of three. If the forest is as dangerous as you say it is they may need the extra helping hoof, have them send up magical flares so we may locate them from the sky. Inform the other guards of the situation, keep it hush, those in the village do not need to know."
"What of you?" the guard asked.
"As head guard it is both my responsibility that they be found, and my responsibility to hold down the fort in the case they do not return. Inform those you can of where we need to place some of them. I need to prepare and make a decision. I will inform you or another guard of what I plan to do."
"Yes mam!" saluting her the guard turned to leave at a full gallop, sapphire shut the door behind him.
Doning her armor wouldn't take long, but it was necessary not only because it told others of her station meaning she would have respect from anyone she needed to talk to, but for the purpose that she may need it to protect her from bodily harm. The reinforced steel was special and lightweight making it easy to cast spells without interference, the crystal heart shaped gem on the breast plate also served to amplify the shield bubble she could cast.
