Tidus rolled his eyes slightly at the first round thing. He had drank a little sake before, not really much as it wasn't a taste he liked, but oh well. She wanted one and he could power through it, after all it was only one drink. Plus it would be rude to turn down a free anything, well.. perhaps like a free poison or something else hazardous, but then it was rude to be even offed such thing.. whoa, whoa. wait. Time to get back on track.

Apparently Bahamut sparked something of interest in Fang. She described the summon perfectly. Blinking at her, he went wide eyed. "Wait, what? You can summon him?! Does that mean your a summoner?" That.. would be just weird. What if she was a summoner? Did that mean sin came back? Then again she had never heard of spira... but people only knew of the ruins of zanarkand in spira too. Frowning he rubbed his temples. All of this hurt his head.

Listening to the description of Shiva.. sisters? Transform? Other summoners? Letting out a breath, Tidus calmed down. Yeah, he wasn't touching this subject.. maybe it was better not knowing... but some part of him had to. What if it was like.. a future spira? What had happened to Yuna, or the others? It was too confusing and worrying, instead of thinking he just went to autopilot and followed Fang.

As she talked about her friend, Tidus winced at the tone. He picked a bad subject.. Nodding that it was fair he revealed something too, he waited until they were sitting down, looking at the bar. It was a nice place, more like a restaurant bar mix. Sitting there, he rested a hand on his chin and wondered how he should explain what he was about to tell.. he wasn't exactly someone who could articulate feelings through words well. More of an action type. Still, there was always one person he could usually speak well in front of for the most part...

Taking a breath, he let it out slow. "Shes actually.. one of the people I'm looking for. Shes the one who could summon all the aeons I talked about like Bahamut, her name is Yuna. Shes kind of quiet at times, but shes getting better.. or was when I was with her.. She used to be kind of shy, but as we journied together... she got.. I don't know. A presence or a strength I cant describe. I just loved being around her.. I.. I really miss her." He wasn't sure how to describe his feelings for the summoner.. or now former summoner.. but he knew he was missing something at times like this, where he wasn't near her. Sighing, he shook his head. "I'm trying my best to find her, or at least someone from our group. Anyone..."

An intriguing answer. Good. Obviously from what Sephiroth could see in the corner of his eye, this man was... guarded, weary. That was also good, impulse will kill you, caution might end up saving your life. At least he passed that part, now time to see if he could continue like this with the rest of this small experiment. If not, well Sephiroth could begin a new. It had been a long time since Sephiroth could just.. twist.

Keeping his eyes on the area ahead of them, he had yet to look fully over at the man. "For a normal soldier, I would agree. Humanity all too often sets it's goals low, its expectation high, and when they fail to meet societies expectations or the judgement of the light, the find themselves lost, with no reason to live. In the end, these pitiful specimens often choose to roll over and die." It was true, in his observation of human kind it was a far too often sight. Something that might be relate able to this man. If he could relate, he would believe, if he believed, he could be molded, and if he could be molded, he would be of use.

Turning to the man for the first time, Sephiroth's impassive gaze rested on his face. It was human impulse to look back at least once, to the source of the thing they were cautious of. It was why humans afraid of heights looked down on a tall mountain, those afraid of the dark glanced once at the darkest shadow. Perhaps it was instinct to find the source of the biggest threat, perhaps it was simple human stupidity. That was a mystery Sephiroth would leave unanswered, but he would put it to his use.

"You call yourself a simple warrior, but a simple warrior would not seek answers for a path, a simple warrior would not have the will to keep walking, even off the clear cut path, and a simple warrior would not be able to have a choice. You walk on, even when it is obvious you are lost. You tense with the will to fight, even when you have no path to defend. You are far from simple, but you perhaps already know that." Gazing at him, as if monitoring his worth, Sephiroth inwardly nodded. Now that he quite possibly had his full attention and interest, it was time to play the game.

"Your looks, your stance, they all shout warrior, but your face shows hardship. It shows of a past that you would rather forget. Let me ask you one thing.. Is your weariness of the world due to a need for an atonement from societies sins?" If not that question, he had others, but that should have one word. One word that would trigger something. At the moment, he knew not of which, but once he found it through watchful eye, he would know where to strike.

Cecil and Rosa's wedding was the most beautiful wedding she had ever seen. Of course, had never seen too many weddings, not if one included the occasional joinings in the Land of the Summons. Other than that, she was far too young to remember those that might have taken place in her village. The green haired summoner could not stop smiling. Cecil really deserved this. He had worked so hard to become better. And she couldn't deny how much she liked Rosa. The woman was kind and sweet but kind of stern at the same time. She knew that Rosa would be perfect for him, both gentle rules that could balance each other. Baron could use all the rebuilding since Golbez and the death of the prior King. What better than a white mage and a paladin to mend the problems there? The people had chosen well.

She couldn't help but notice that Kain had sort of dropped off the face of the map before the wedding occurred. He was there after the final battle, and he was sort of around when they had arrived at Baron. However, after that, she had lost track of him in all the festivities and preparations. She spent a lot of time with Rosa, getting her dress together and trying to help her with all the little details that apparently went into a wedding. Were all wedding this large and fantastic? Or was it because Cecil and Rosa were going to be King and Queen? Every other celebration she had attended never seemed so big... There never seemed to be so many people in one place.

Fortunately, she wasn't alone. She had familiar friends there to keep her company so that she wasn't completely lost in the crowd while people talked to Cecil and Rosa about whatever they needed to talk about... Small talk that sometimes involved politics as Rosa had explained to her before. Rydia had matured relatively speaking, but no one was really sure how old she was at that moment. It hadn't been very long apparently, but for her, it had been ages. She had learned a lot from the Land of the Summons. She had befriend many, and they were her aid in battles.

She slept well, given a guest room in the large Baron castle. She planned to return and help rebuild her burned village. Or perhaps, she might go and teach summoning to those in Mysidia. Of course, the people in the Land of the Summons had asked her to return to them to spend time with them. She had so many choices now that the land seemed at peace. She would decide in the morning, perhaps visit all those places and see where she was needed most. When she did awaken the next morning, her eyes opened to an entirely gray world... It wasn't strange at first because the castle was made of stone, but she soon learned that the colorful tapestries were not so colored anymore. Confused, she began to go find someone else... Cecil always seemed to have answers. He wouldn't laugh at her for saying something strange.

However, before she could reach there, she found an entire world painted with colors... An entire town in the entrance hall of the castle. Her eyes widened with surprise. She was tentative about stepping through at first, but something compelled her to go... She walked through into a world. When she looked back behind her, the Baron Castle was gone. She was in a moderately nice town. She looked at the various buildings, not recognizing them as any town she had visited on the Earth before.

Rydia came upon a tavern, deciding that location would be to gather information of sorts. There were plenty of taverns on Earth after all... It wasn't so much of a tavern as a bar, but they were fairly similar. She got odd glances with her strange green hair and not-so-modest flashy-green attire. However, the entire world was painted in what she would have assumed as regular colors, meaning that her eyes had not been enchanted with any odd spell like darkness. And if this was truly an illusion, it was a good one for the spell of ail, alcohol, and unmentionables met her nose and caused her to wince.

The green haired girl took a seat, alone at a table. She supposed, she could just start asking someone what this place was. However, something caught her ears. Someone was talking about chocobos. It seemed totally normal to her. She had ridden a chocobo before. Her favorites were the white ones, though. The rejuvenated her magic. She listened casually to the conversation until she heard something else... Summoner... Her eyes widened, and she visibly looked in their direction. Surprise laced her features. They knew summoners? They were rarity now a days! And what's more... She looked at the wild features of the woman... She could summon Bahamut. She must have been very powerful.

Before she could maintain her composure and excitement at meeting someone that might be like herself, she was already walking towards them. She cleared her throat and exclaimed, "You can summon Bahamut? He's the God of Summons! You must be very powerful if you can summon him!" She declared with surprise, eyes focused on Fang as she spoke. The woman appeared powerful, not like any summoner or rather mage that she knew. She was tall and appeared strong. Most of the mages she had met were rather flimsy. Rosa was pretty sturdy, but even she was rather delicate...

She glanced at Tidus at the moment, remembering that he knew a summoner as well since she had been kind of eavesdropping, before glancing at Fang. "And you both have friends that are summoners?" She sheepishly grinned for a moment, realizing that she didn't know their names, they didn't know hers, and that she had interrupted their conversation. She closed her mouth and hung her head so that she would stop talking.

Then she took a step back to say more quietly and less eagerly, "Sorry. My name is Rydia. It's just that I've never met other summoners or even people talking about summoners... I mean, in the Land of the Summons, they spoke of them, but the summoners had practically be wiped out..." A light tinge touched upon her cheeks, realizing that they probably thought very oddly of her. She wasn't the greatest at first introductions... Perhaps, she had done it wrong... Normally, she was in the company of someone else like Cecil, Rosa, or Edge, who were quite good at it.

Vincent did feel bad that he'd hurt Yuffie's feelings, and since she hadn't even noticed the cape he'd let her borrow. She was storming off, and after the little heart to heart with Cloud, he knew what he had to do. He didn't want to admit it to himself, but it hurt him to think of the happy, hyper ninja being angry. She was always life and light, and to someone dark like him, it made him realize some things he'd been missing.

Well he didn't want to miss them anymore. Cloud had started to tell him something, but he'd stopped him. He hadn't wanted to hear it from him, in truth, he was scared of what he was going to say. Vincent had been so withdrawn from the world for so long, the thought of permanent attachment was scary. It was scary, but he felt his hear yearning for it. One person to really know him... to be a close friend. He thought of the people around him as close, but really, he never shared anything with them... and they'd been so worried about him.

He stepped into the Inn and heard Yuffie exclaiming he was never getting his cloak back. He let out a soft sigh, and walked up behind her, gently taking her upper arm in his hand. "Come with me," he commanded in a soft voice, but not one that brokered refusal. He lead her off to the side, sure that Cloud would be coming in and looking after Xianghua.

Once they were alone in a vacant hallway, he turned to look at her. The look on his face wasn't anger, or anything of that sort... he looked sad. "I'm very sorry," he said gently, his voice loud enough for her to hear, but with the roughness of his voice, it was still barely over a whisper. "My phone was lost, and I was unconscious for awhile, but I should have come back sooner." Even if it really hadn't been possible, he should have.

"The Lifestream took me to the Western Continent, to Lucrecia's Cave. She saved me, brought me there..." He hadn't planned on telling anyone, but his new lease on live was making him act a little foolish. She deserved to know though. He took a breath and looked up in her eyes for the first time. "I told her goodbye... her sins... are not my sins. I want to start living and... I think you live the most of all of us. I want... I want to be more... open." It was harder to say then he thought, but once he'd said it, he felt better. A tiny smile came to his face, and he reached down and closed the buckles of the cape. "I don't want to hide anymore... I want you to teach me how to live in this time..." And he hoped she didn't say no.

There was something particularly fascinating about Sephiroth's voice. He was a leader. That was for sure. Waves of charisma and eloquence protruded forth from him. Kain understood this. Cecil had this quality as well... It was a quality that Kain lacked by comparison despite the fact that he was the Commander of the Dragoon Knights. The Dragoon Knights were practically obsolete by then. It was only through sheer will of his father's dragon and his own determination that the entire squad was set right again... People had fallen away from the entire group, but he and the dragon had apparently inspired the knights to train again... In this way, the dragoons were revived. Still, he had begun to question whether or not he was doing it because he wanted to or because he was trying to live up to his father... Perhaps due to his own regrets and grief, trying to remember the figure that he could barely remember.

Was Sephiroth right? Was it society's particular perception of good and bad... the light and the darkness? Cecil had discarded his darkness to become a paladin. He had gained strength in that light. He had also gained admiration. He could not help but feel enraged by the fact that Cecil had been able to meet society's standards no matter what he did. He was the Dark Knight, and the king loved him like his own son... not the same as Kain. He became a Paladin, and he was able to gain the strength to finally love Rosa wholly even though Kain and adored her for so long... Cecil was able to change, and he still remained static.

He heard the shifting body. Kain could no longer look away. He also turned to meet and stare upon the silver haired figure. His emerald cat-slit eye bore into him. It was fortunate that his helm covered up his eyes or he might have been a bit dazed. Looking upon his impassive features, he understood that this man had even more power than Kain had initially given him credit for. In some way, this man reminded him of Cecil... But not the Cecil now... the Cecil before. This man had a heavy aura around him, but instead of uncertainty, there was something infallible about this man. There was assurance in his actions and his words. He did not ask questions. He created the answers.

Was he controlling himself or was it that he felt compelled in this man's presence because Kain felt himself nodding at the man's words. He could not help but agree... It was true. The man spoke of him like he knew him, and perhaps this man had understood what Kain was going through. Kain was focused completely on Sephiroth, drinking his every word like they might hold every answer that he was looking for. He stood his ground, however. He did not completely lean forward. He waited and listened. Impulsiveness would be his downfall. The silver-haired man had never spoken truer words... words that echoed and resonated within Kain.

He could not help but find himself telling this man about himself... about what he was going through. He spoke like he were confessing to a priest, "I am a warrior, a dragoon of formerly of Baron. I can little feel that I might step upon the land of Baron... My best friend is a King, who sought and found his path in life..." He whispered so softly that it was nearly unheard, "...a life that I might wish I had..." He took a deep breath. He didn't answer Sephiroth's question, not really. For how could it he when it didn't truly apply to him? He was lost, yes, but he did not once consider society as a problem itself... It merely never occurred to him that it might be.

He desired to step back from Sephiroth but feeling no ability in his legs to do so because he had not finished yet. "I have tread this path all my life... never deviating once, sure that it was right for me to follow this road... but it was all for nothing for it has harmed myself and those around me... I am not help but hindrance to them all... So what path do I have left to me to chose?" He was not certain about his weariness anyways. What did it come from? Probably his inability to find his way-his constant wandering with no end in sight because the end that he thought he was looking for... it was now impossible.

The reunion between Lenne and Shuyin could not have been more sweet. In another time and another place, this could have been her and Tidus. That was the entire reason, she had been spurred thus. Lenne had successfully communicated her feelings to Yuna through the songstress dress sphere, and of course-the former summoner was more than willing to help. Not only was this woman sincerely asking for her help, but she also felt that she was nearly in this woman's position herself. If they had not awoken all those fayths and utilized all the summons at their disposal to end their dream and thus end Yu Yevon inexplicably tied to Sin... Tidus could have turned away to another power...

Fortunately or unfortunately, another path remained open that did not end in death for the summoner. Tidus and Rikku had gotten their wish. She chose life over death even though she would have willingly given her life for the lives of others. By some miracle, they had found a way to not only give everyone on Spira peace of mind from Spin but also allowed the summoner as well as her guardians the ability to continue on. Unfortunately for Yuna's unique case... not all of her guardians were able to live on. Tidus was part of the dream of the fayth... like Sin... so when it ended... he had to end as well.

It had been two years since that occurred. She didn't hang painfully on to this notion. She continued to live life to the fullest because she knew that was what he would have wanted. He wouldn't want her to waste away the life that he had convinced her to believe was possible. She never let him stray to far from her her thoughts. He was alive there, and she wanted to believe that he was alive somewhere apart from just within her heart. She believed so hard that when she saw a certain sphere, she believed it to be Tidus himself. There was no way of knowing how old it was or when it was taken, recent or not.

Yuna was glad that she was able to help Lenne communicate her feelings to Shuyin and to allow Shuyin the ability to sleep peacefully with the one he loved. However, that still meant that her journey thus far had kind of come to an end without any necessary conclusion. That did not mean she would stop trying. She was a driven girl. If she could walk a path that would lead to her own death for seventeen years, she could walk just a little while longer towards what would potentially be all the happiness in the world to her... To live at his side, the person that had changed her and giving her a new lease on life. To spend it without him was just... forlorn and lonely.

She had gotten back on the ship of the Celsius. They were on their way back to Besaid. She mused over how Wakka and Lulu were with their new child. She smiled. They deserved happiness as well. She planned to go to the top of the ship and oversee the entire flight. She wanted a little time to think and plan out what she was going to do next now that she had concluded that sphere was Shuyin rather than Tidus... However, just before she exited the elevator, she saw something strange before her eyes. The inside of the ship was mostly gray but those parts that were supposed to be coppery were still rather gray.

When she pushed open the hatch to the outside, she found the outside but not the skies like she had been expecting. It was an entire bustling town... Curiosity and desire propelled her through. It was a bustling tone with fantastic towers. It reminded her a bit of what Zanarkand might have looked like except the style was a bit different. The buildings were squared rather than rounded as per-Spira architecture. There were edges, but the lights and the tall buildings with mild-advancements seemed to be a bit similar. The wind did not blow in her face like she expected, but rather just a light breeze. She was definitely not atop the Celsius at this point in time. There was no Celsius behind her either... It was completely gone.

Yuna was surprised, calling out, "Rikku? Paine?" Nothing. A few people glanced at her oddly for suddenly calling out to nobody, but there was nothing further than that. She frowned a bit, looking around for a familiar sign of something. None came. She was sure that she had visited practically every town in Spira so where was this?

She looked for the nearest person. She jogged lightly towards them and called out, "Excuse me... I'm sorry." She spoke politely out of habit. A woman and her son, who seemed to be a little younger than her stopped to look at her. She broke into a relieved smile. "I was wondering if you could tell me where this was, please." She retained her manners regardless of the situation. The woman opened her mouth to speak, but the boy spoke more quickly, "Oh. You're a newcomer. You're lucky. This is Eden. It's the best city in Nugascen." He spoke as if stating a fact rather than being arrogant.

The former-summer was taken aback by this. Nugascen? Eden? The woman whispered something to her son. It sounded like she was telling them they had to leave. She asked quickly before they departed, "Is this still Spira?" The boy just laughed and said, "You must be from Spira..." Surprise caught her as she was about to eagerly ask where Spira was in relation to their current location, currently not paying attention as to how she even arrived. However the boy just said, "No. I'm not from there. You probably can't go back there either. Still, it's not too bad. It's easy to make friends here, and maybe you'll find your friends here, too. If they're not already here, they might show up sooner or later if you're really determined to find them again."

Yuna could no longer ask questions from that point in time. The boy and his mother left her, standing just off a street corner. She was not particularly upset by their leave. Perhaps they had somewhere to be, and she was possibly holding them up for an appointment. Still, that left Yuna much to think about.

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you

Cecil nodded, thinking that was probably prudent. It had taken a while for him to get used to his Father's title, and now, he'd have to force himself not to say it on command. In such a place, it was better to be a paladin and someone to fear rather then a King and someone to try and take advantage of. Not that he wouldn't give up some of the ornaments he wore if he could help someone in need, but he truly believed in teaching a man how to make his own living rather then giving hand outs. A kingdom could run out of money, but a man that could fish or farm would outlast even the richest kingdoms.

He looked back to the girl and boy, she seemed upset... well maybe not upset, a little disappointed. He felt bad for her, it seemed he wasn't the friend she'd been looking for, but maybe they could figure out a way to get her back to her friends... she seemed very sad without them. He understood that, he was very lonely without his friends... Rosa, Kain... Rydia... everyone. He wanted to see them all again.

"I hope she will, it's better for us to stick together, to figure out what's happening here..."
He sighed a little, crossing his arms over his chest. "It's hard, being away from friends and family, she seemed to find one, only to be mistaken... that must hurt. I wonder if anyone I know is here." He really did, he kind of hoped though, for their sakes, that they were safe at home... but he couldn't help but admit that he was still lonely.

"Should we head for that large building in the distance, and begin our search there... once the young lady returns?" He thought it might be the best place to try, there seemed to be people around in that area, perhaps they would be more eager to help them then the others he'd met. He really needed to get back to Rosa.

Looking at Roxas to her was like looking at her younger brother except for the fact that her younger brother did not know her at all. She had spent a good deal of her time, growing up with him under Master Eraqus, who was basically their father-figure. She didn't know if that was how Ven or Terra felt about him, but that was how she saw him, a guardian that watched over her since she was very little. He was as much an irreplaceable piece of the family in her heart as much as Ven and Terra were. Looking upon Roxas's earnest features, she felt like he was telling the truth. He believed he was truly Roxas. She wondered if Ven might just have a twin running around the world then? She hoped that were true because believing that Ven would not remember her or seem so object to remembering her was disheartening.

However, Aqua easily reminded herself of one thing... the most important thing... He was safe. From the looks of it, he was still kind. He offered to help her find her friends. He was still pure and healthy. She was thankful, and that thought alone was able to put much of her disappointment at ease. She was also just glad that he was offering to stick around with her at least for a little while. He could have gone. It didn't even occur to her that he might have other friends. Of course Ven had other friends in other worlds. That was clear when she found his wooden keyblade in Neverland. It just didn't occur to her in what she felt like was a short time that he had time to be awake for very long and thus acquire other friends, assuming this was Ven again.

She glanced at him and nodded pleasantly at his acceptance to go with her. After taking half a step, she realized that she was bringing him to Haseo and the other person like they were also her friends... They could have been, but she didn't really know them either. She slowed down a bit to add quietly to him, "I was only talking with them for a little bit, but I really only just met them... like you." She added the last words almost as if she still didn't quite believe it herself. It was just Aqua's state of shock of and surprise still washing over her until she came to truly accept it as fact. Other than that, the words carried the air of a big-sister, someone mature enough to take care of others because she didn't want to have Roxas feeling like he was left out... Roxas wasn't the only foreign in the collected group. They were all sort of in the same boat.

From there, she headed at regular speed over toward Haseo and Cecil. She saw them glance their way, and she was glad that they hadn't moved very far. This meant that she would have her chance to make up for leaving them so suddenly. She trot back towards them with Roxas in tow and apologized first thing, "I'm sorry for running off so quickly." She bowed her head a bit before straightening her posture. She smiled weakly and said, "Thanks for waiting. I half expected you guys to leave because I might have been taking too long." She confessed quietly.

Staring at Cecil, she realized that she didn't know his name. She had missed the introduction of the silver-haired man from before because she had run off, but seeing that both she and Roxas might not know his name, it might be good to repeat it. But before she started with that, it was only right that she start introductions because she was the one that had practically abandoned them to find Roxas, whom she thought was Ventus and was not. She gestured to Roxas and said, "This is Roxas. And Roxas... This is Haseo..." She looked to Cecil, sheepishly smiling, "And I'm sorry that I might have missed your name earlier... I'm Aqua in case Haseo didn't mention it," she repeated just for good measure.

Aqua withheld the fact that she was mistaken about Roxas being one person she might have been looking for. In truth, she hadn't even been expecting to find Ven at all...just Terra because she was sure Ven might be sleeping for much longer than that. She was sure, though, that Haseo and Cecil might have noticed that she had called out a different name than the one she was introducing Roxas as. Aside from the light pink tinge of embarrassment that she had "mistaken" her friend and that they probably knew it, they were likely perceptive enough to put two and two together.

Keeping his gaze on the man before him, Sephiroth kept his gaze impassive. Once more he looked over the armor the man wore. It was familiar, yet foreign. Reminiscent to olden times. It actually looked a lot like the armor the classic soldier was based off, at least in helm. All but the mouth covered. Perhaps this was what they were based off, he had not quite anticipated what this world was. He no longer sensed the life stream, so it was not gaia, but this man seemed to have too many familiar things about him for it to be a coincidence.. perhaps it was due some investigation.

For now, he watched as he turned to meet his eyes. Behind the helm, it was impossible to read his eyes, a pity. Still, there were other signs to be read, like the lack of tensity in his jaw muscles, his stand was both rigid and loose, still on guard but seeming to come around. It could also be a stance for a fight, but if it came to that then Sephiroth wasn't worried. Besides, this man did not seem the type to strike out just yet. If he did, his actions would give him away long before any blade pierced his dark heart.

Then he began to speak once more, this time though it was with information. So it seemed he was making an impact. Just a few more pushes and perhaps he would be ready. Listening to him speak, he took note of no answer to his original question, or really any information he could use against this man in case things turned south. Simple titles and the name of a land that if Sephiroth had to guess was no where near here. The ex SOLDIER was willing to bet part of the dragoon before him realized this too.

A man formerly of a country of a class he had yet to hear of, but was able to piece together were specific to fighting a specific type of monster, the dragons. Perhaps he would be a grand use against the summon of bahamut.. perhaps. If it was even here. His friend lived the life he wished he could, and from the tone it was almost like it was ripped from under him. A soul that while his mind did not feel it as a betrayal, his heart did. This was giving him much more than he anticipated.

Letting him finish, Sephiroth let a single flicker of acceptance to the question in his eyes, before it went impassive again. If he showed no emotion at all, then he alienated himself from the dragoon before him. That would not do. Something to relate to worked more than anything else. "You say you walked a path of light, set on a goal that was obtained by another. This path that you say was yours from the beginning. Yet what fruits did it bear? Where are these allies of yours now that walked this path of light with you? You answered it yourself. This path caused yourself and others harm. It appears this path you have chosen has done anything but the good it promises."

"The light is always full of promises of good things and tidings if you push through the hardships with allies. Yet it seems to give those which others strive for easily to those who work just enough to stay on the path. You say you have no path but this to walk.." Sephiroth trailed off, letting out a chuckle as he stared deep into the man's eyes. "You ask what path you have left to choose? The solution is easy. you make your own. Society and light have spurned you when you sacrifice for them, things you wish to gain fall into the hands of others, it is the same everywhere."

Now to seal it. Looking towards the cloud ridden sky, Sephiroth made to appear in remembrance. "I was once where you stand now. Part of a group called SOLDIER first class, working for the society that was strived for. I did all things a soldier should, I fought, I protected, and in the end I turn to the society I worked so hard for to find an abomination. The Higher ups that ran the city used the planet's own resource to put themselves in luxury while they killed it slowly. They used its resource to taint humanity, making more super powered soldiers, experimenting on live beings without remorse. So I cut ties with the path of light, of society, and made my path my own. What others call darkness, I call my path, what other believe evil I do for a sake beyond their understanding. "

Looking back to the dragoon. Sephiroth slowly raised a questioning eyebrow. "So the question is left to bare. With all these facts presented to you, will you still work for the society that gives away what you want most and tells you to work harder? Who often times have secret agendas, or will you strive for your own path, will you create your own form of justice to make yourself? It perhaps looks daunting, but simply remember that living proof of possibilities lie within the former SOLdIER first class standing before you."

She was going to continue conversation, but she felt herself being dragged toward the inn. She was trying to tug herself away at first, but she figured they had to go there anyway, so why not just let the girl escort her. Yuffie was definitely energetic. She was also a really nice girl. She seemed to be pretty upset about Vincent. Xianghua wanted to know what was going on between the three, but at the same time she didn't want to include herself in their mess, whatever that may be. She had matters of her own to tend to. After she found out how to get away from this frozen graveyard she would begin searching for Maxi, Kilik and Soul Edge. Hopefully she'd at least find one of them.

Xianghua found herself a seat as Yuffie was whisked away by Vincent. She couldn't help but wonder what they were talking about. When Cloud came through, Xianghua handed him his coat back. "Thank for being so nice, but I don't need it anymore." Xianghua nodded. She may as well chatted with him, there was nothing else to occupy her at he moment. She tapped her right foot, and then slouched over in her chair. Things were getting boring around here. Maybe a spar with someone would be helpful later on. She had no leads on Soul Edge, but she was sure it had something to do with this.

"You wouldn't happen to know anything about Soul Edge either, would you?" Xianghua asked with a disappointed look on her, face. She knew he would most likely say no, and if he did it would lead her to contemplate on why that was. If the sword had something to do with bringing them all here, why didn't anyone have information on it? It was odd, indeed. Maybe the sword really didn't have anything to do with this situation. It was possible that they were all brought here by some other force. The announcement earlier addressed the 'newcomers' as if the announcer knew why they were here.

If that person had information, Xianghua had to find the announcer. She recalled the girl saying she didn't like rain, so there would be none in Assyria. Where was this Assyria? How could she get there? If she could make it there, and find the female, she could ask all of her questions and get some good answers. She could possibly find out how to get out of this place. She was excited that she might have the key to getting out of here.

"Hey... Cloud, is it?" Xianghua paused addressed the blond male, "I think I know where we could get some information." she started. She started telling him about her clue that came from the announcement earlier, and how if the four of them could travel to Assyria they may be able to find some answers. She hoped he would agree, because if one of them did, they could help her persuade the others to think the same way. Besides, she wanted to travel out of this cold city. Could Assyria possibly be warmer? Thoughts of anticipation filled her mind, as she looked at Cloud, awaiting his answer.

Yuffie expected that Cloud would book the room like he always did. Then, she expected Vincent to go off and hide somewhere. The others weren't here so she couldn't account for them obviously. And she didn't know Xianghua well enough except she knew that the girl was cute and nice... well, nice according to knowing her for a whole handful of minutes. Maybe she could just talk to her for awhile, ask more about this so called Soul Edge. It sounded pretty cool to her. She could just image it being an awesome, super-glorious weapon that might make her super-awesome powerful. It never occurred to her that weapons were "alive" except when they were Weapons with jewel names. She shuddered at the thought of them. She didn't like any of them... And that was mostly because they all required some sort of ship, either the submarine or an airship to get close enough to kick their butt.

The ninja had wiled away into her thoughts, waiting until Cloud declared they got some rooms. She had nothing better to do than to half sit on a chair, gripping the edges of the cloak to ensure that she did not trip a second time even if she wasn't moving. Despite the fact that she was sitting in a chair, there was a great chance that she still might hurt herself in one way or another because she was a rather clumsy ninja. She stole glances around her, first to the door Cloud was taking a long time. Vincent would take his sweet time of course. That was just how he was, and she knew that... Still, Yuffie was an impatient kind of girl that would drag him by the tails of his cloak... if he was still wearing it.

She began to look straight again, watching Xianghua for a bit because Cloud had definitely taken too long. She felt a grip around her upper arm. She looked to the side, surprised to see it was Vincent. She squeezed her facial features together and probably looked more intimidating because she was ridiculous looking rather than actually looking fearsome. When he spoke, her entire face was forced to relax. This was command... He was serious... like... really serious. She had really done it now... The cloak was more precious to him than she had originally thought. She gripped it more tightly, mentally preparing for any sort of argument he might. She would just have to stay strong and tell him, 'no.'

They were walking for a bit longer than she expected, dragged to where there was no one in the hall but the two of them. She looked up at him. She could never successfully read his expression because he always seemed the same. However, because he always seemed the same, she recognized that there was something different. It wasn't a lot-of different. It was just kinda different. Maybe he looked different without the cloak, but she couldn't be sure... she had a feeling that might not have been it. Her eyes widened when he spoke an apology. She tilted her head to the side, speechless at first. As soon as Vincent took his initially breath, she shook her head vigorously and said, "No-no-no. It's okay! Really!" She didn't expect Vincent to apologize to her... Maybe just ignore her until she was talking about something logical.

"I'm just happy you're okay, really I am. Cloud's happy, too, I bet. He's just not smiling cause he thinks people won't take him as seriously if he's not..." She paused the frown in an exaggerated manner while deepening her voice-the same voice she used to mock Vincent, "super-serious ex-SOLDIER and savior Cloud Strife." She brightened, loosening her features with a laugh because she thought she was funny. "We'll be able to tell Teef and Shelke and Reeve and stuff that you're okay. You're one of us. You couldn't have died... But still, you made Reeve really worried." She lied through her teeth about the last bit. Sure Reeve was concerned, but she was projecting her own worries on most of the people around her.

Her surprise increased at his words. He spoke of wanting to be more open. She wondered if he were sick. And was that a smile on his face? Even just a small one? She didn't need a magnifying glass to see it. She could really see it. It made her positively speechless. She just stared in awe. Vincent seemed changed somehow. It was just the fact that he had swept off the cloak, but there was something in earnest different about him. It wasn't bad, but she couldn't help but feel taken aback by Vincent's change... It wasn't even a huge change... At least, it wouldn't have been for anyone else... It was a huuuge step for Vincent. Even though she could teetered upon asking him if he were sick, she could see sincerity reflected in his eyes, and she couldn't bring herself to make a joke about this or do something ridiculous.

Instead, she smiled. It was just a simple one. There was no mischief or anything else attached. It was just a regular ol'smile with no tricks up her sleeves. She nodded energetically. "Definitely!" She might not have been the best person to ask to teach one about being open, but she was definitely a pro at it. She ducked out of the hallway and declared, "First thing's first. Open means not going into a secluded hallway all by your lonesome! Actually, no more of that lonesome stuff... well... mostly... Maybe won't start with a huge party, but we can start with something easy. Xianghua. After all, you know me and Cloud so it's not that big of a step."

She grabbed his wrist and tugged him back out toward Xianghua and Cloud. There was a visible smile in her features, scowl having dissipated, not that it was difficult for Yuffie to change emotions in a snap. Before they were in sight, she said, "Just stick with me, and I'll teach you everything I know about the subject." Of course, it should be re-emphasized that Yuffie was a ninja, and ninjas were supposed to be extremely lonesome, closed, and such forth. She was not. She shot him a broad grin and declared, "Let's go!"

"Some people ******** at funerals, I cut off heads!"

So that was it. Silivia had broken up the fight. Henry had gone about his way and Travis was left standing there outside the 'NO MORE HEROES' motel. "That damn b***h always has to go and ruin the fun, doesn't she?" He thought aloud, clipping his weapon to his belt. The only thing on his mind now was when he would meet Henry again, and give him a proper duel to the death. He owed him that much, and he also owed him the beating of a life time. Grunting slightly, the red jacketed otaku walked from the parking lot to his door at the motel. Opening it, he was greeted with the usual sight of a mess. Well mess to some people, shrine to him. A small mew also met his ears as he noticed his pet cat, Jeane, looking up at him. "There there." He said gently, kneeling down and stroking his cat. Before long, his body decided it was time to release its contents, and a trip to the bathroom was in order.

Upon finishing his 'business', the assassin opened the door, and the world was... different. This wasn't his house. This was a bustling city, and he was getting extremely weird looks from people. Not only because his pants were at his ankles, but also because he was coming out of a bathroom, in the middle of a city. "What the ******** is going on here..." Very quickly, he shut the door and pulled his pants up. "This isn't happening. This isn't ******** happening! Get a grip Travis. You probably... passed out on the chair. Yeah that's right. This is just a weird ******** dream and I'll wake up in no time." Travis said to himself, taking deep breaths as he looked in his mirror right above the sink. Maybe his eyes were playing tricks on him? Maybe he was hallucinating? It had to be that. After all the blood and s**t in his eyes, they had finally given out. Had to be that. Cleaning his eyes, Travis opened the door again... Only to be met with the same sight. "How is this ******** possible?!" he shouted, people giving him REALLY weird looks now. He wanted to just close the door again and stay his bathroom. But that wasn't that good of an idea. Unless he planned on eating s**t and drinking from the sink for the rest of his life, he needed to get out.

                                          -An hour later-

"Well if this isn't ******** I don't know what is." He said to himself, walking the streets of the 'capital' of Nugascen, hands jammed into his pockets. Angry? A bit. Annoyed? Yes. He had only recently come to terms with this place. That he had somehow entered this world from his own, through some sort of portal or something. It bothered him to no end. It sounded like something out a manga or video game, or some really stupid sci-fi movie. Yet here it was, it was happening. It was real. The very thought seemed to annoy him. 'God damn it, why did I end up here? Unless this is some twisted form of purgatory, and I'm dead, I don't see a reason why I should even be here.' As far as he could tell, there was no real way to get out of this world. He'd just have to deal with being here. "I know I can't be the only one to have ended up here. There's no point in going about making such a big world and then only ONE person walking into it." Travis thought aloud, white sneakers meeting the ground as he continued walking.

As he walked, he felt a familiar presence on him, swaying back and forth behind him as he walked. To anyone else this device looked extremely strange and damn near impossible to identify, but to Travis it was something he couldn't part with. It was a beam katana, more specifically the first one he had bought, called Blood Berry. It was a decent weapon, but it did have a few problems, namely the battery. Every time the weapon made contact, the battery would drain a little bit, and when it ran out so did the beam. The problem was that it didn't take that many hits for the battery to die, and if that happened he'd have to stand there like an idiot 'jerking' his sword, a very crude method of recharging. But the method worked, so it wasn't that big of a problem, save for the indecent way of going about it. Mind got pulled with his thoughts as he made out a conversation, and quickly followed the source of the sound. Granted he could barely make it out, but damn if he found another person that had been pulled from their world, it'd prove his idea right.

As he ran to the source, a few words were entering his head, as he made out the sounds as words. "You probably can't go back there either. Still, it's not too bad." Not too bad was it? What about the people that had family and friends back in their world? What about the people that had no purpose in being here. Lives could be destroyed in this transfer, all this ******** had to say was 'It's not too bad'?! It seemed wrong, and the twisted morality he subscribed to was working overtime to figure it out. He was an assassin, his job was too kill people. Regardless of who they were, his job was to kill them. Yet despite that, he didn't want to kill women. It was only recently that he full realized the after effects of his work. How the lives he ended had repercussions. How sick and demented all of the assassins were, yet there were a few that stood out. Some of them were just waiting for death to claim them, some of them were clinging to life and fighting any attempt to remove it. Some of them were young, going into the business, and fight, because it seemed like fun. No matter what, they were all broken people, they needed the United Assassins Association, the UAA, if only because they needed on outlet, or the money.

And he was just another one of the freaks that had signed up. He couldn't think about the UAA or the assassins now. They were, to his knowledge, not in the world. While this world might have had its own version of the Association, that wasn't what mattered at the moment. This woman was from a different world, and had somehow gotten to Nugascen, or at least that's what he deduced upon hearing what the guy had to say to her. 'If I'm right, then that means people from other worlds entering this one. But if there's a way to get into this world, then there should be a way out. Or this whole system is ******** broken and we can never escape.' Those were the two alternatives. Either there was a way to escape, or there wasn't. But those ideas got shoved out of his head as he slowed down, continuing to make his way other to the brunette girl with the different colored eyes on foot.

"I couldn't help but overhear." Travis started, hands in his pants pockets as he walked over, standing a few feet away from her. "But you're not from this place either, are you?" A gloved hand came out of his pocket and pushed his sunglasses up. Did she know yet? That this wasn't the world she was from? Regardless, she had to be aware of the fact that this wasn't her homeworld, but rather a different place. The concept still bothered him. It screamed bad sci-fi, but this was actually happening. "I have a feeling that some b*****d is pulling people from their world into this one, but hell if I know the ******** reason. Oh and I guess I should also let you in on who I am." Travis said, his hand going back into his pocket as he stood there, his eyes surveying the area around him and the brunette. "Name's Travis, Travis Touchdown."

Kain had no reason to be telling Sephiroth anything he had said. A part of his mind had told him to distrust this man. There was nothing good about him. He was powerful and charismatic. Kain would surely fall underneath the spell that his words created even if there was no real magic involved to control his thoughts this time around. However, it would have been too late. He was alone and confused, an easy target for one such as Sephiroth, older and wiser with far more men beneath his command and a background far more corrupted and sinful than Kain could have ever compared to. Kain had managed to find his way back to the path of light time and again, but he had strayed so often that he doubted his ability to walk the path that others seemed to walk with ease.

However, Sephiroth presented an idea that seemed completely usable. Kain could in fact cut his own path. He did not have to follow the rules and regulations that society had presented to him. He was not someone else. He was not Cecil. He clearly never would be, and he had to stop trying to be someone he was not. He had stood up to the King of Baron, deciding to be a dragoon to follow in his father's footsteps rather than be the Dark Knight that the King always wanted. Even Cecil had given that up in the end. Although it seemed like Kain had chosen his own path then, defying the King, he was following the direction of his father. He was neither the Paladin nor was he his father. He was just himself.

Sephiroth, who had only spoke a few sentences initially was explaining to Kain that the dragoon might have wanted to hear for someone else. He was forcing himself to follow the standards that society had created. He was being put into a cookie-cutter existence that only fit a handful of people. What about all those others that fell outside the normal? There had to be some. Not everyone could follow the perfect, wonderful path of a White Knight and a White Mage. He had utilized his powers, a regular dragoon, to defeat Zeromus. Wasn't he fine the way he was? Aside from his own weakness, which he sought to conquer... With Sephiroth's caramel words trailing into his thoughts, he could identify easily, what his weakness was.

He lacked the determination to stay the one path. He tried so damn hard to be something he wasn't when he really should just have been himself. He would work hard for himself and not someone else, not a king or anyone else. Everything would be his choice. Sephiroth had been in a similar situation. The exact details were not the same at all, but it was clear that this man had been a leader for a country that had been in the wrong. He had been following Baron when they were doing wrong. However, wasn't Cecil doing and making things right? That was the last hope he might have had, a small doubt when he thought about the good times he had spent with his friend, who had become the new leader to set the world straight.

In the end, Kain could only feel spurned by Cecil. They were friends. They fought and trained together. However, what else? He did not believe Cecil ever understood the pain her withstood to hold back his feelings for Rosa when he himself seemed to want to push her away in his eyes... Tough love he supposed... He didn't understand. If only Cecil had just accepted and returned Rosa's love sooner... Maybe the small scar of resentment in his chest would not burn so much when he thought about the possibilities: what if things had been different?

He looked at Sephiroth, who's stern gaze was set upon him. Even though he wore a helm that covered most of his face, he could feel the green slit-pupil eyes burn into his skull as if the silver haired man could see through the armor that he covered his face. Perhaps Sephiroth already knew that Kain was already won. He had already affixed his mind to what he believed he himself wanted. Kain nodded curtly and said, "I understand. I will cut and make my own path. It might be different than what other people expect, but I shouldn't let other people dictate what I want to do... what I should do." A strong resolve burned in his throat as he spoke.

He did not remove the dragoon helm. He never did. He did not sleep with it on, but he slept with it close enough. It was just a habit because he did not desire to show his face to others. He affirmed, "My name is Kain... Kain Highwind." He gave his name to this man both in gratitude and a sort of camaraderie for a similar cause and past. He would not take orders from this man, at least not directly or so he believed, but he felt that he might agree with what this man had to say and accomplish. He was a role model of one who had decided their own position in life, and he did not allow his birth or his past to dictate his future for that was how society controlled the people.

Finally Kain asked, "I appreciate your words, but I must ask... why did you initially approach me?" The dragoon had been curious about this since the beginning. It was a question he had withheld since the conversation began. It seemed prudent to ask now at the end, but it was also another way to ask... what was Sephiroth's purpose? What did he mean to accomplish and thus had spent vital time speaking with Kain to explain this all to him? There had to be a reason.

T-Elos didn't flinch at all when it seemed Arumat retaliated with his own threatening blade. She just kept her gaze on the man and locked eyes with him. Though as she was doing this she actually was scanning his body, trying her best to get all the information she possibly could. Though her smirk grew slightly as this scan presented a rather lovely bit of information. She watched him draw his blade away as she just did only to hear his rather cocky words. This caused the cyborg's hand to twitch slightly as she was half tempted to show him that this choice was for the sake of his life. Perhaps she should rip out his throat so those words would no longer taunt her. "I did it for your safety, boy. " She said coldly to Arumat as she simply glared at him, wanting to have a all out fight with the towering male.

Though it seemed the group was bound and determined to take care of Lightning, perhaps a bullet or two would be the best medicine. She looked over to Sora who summed up what was going on only to nod,"The technology is far inferior to my home, so I do not belong here. " She decided to state as it would further concrete the fact that none of them were in their homes anymore. She looked from Tifa and Lightning, both which agreed with the child when he stated that he wished to rest, well get Lightning rest as the rain seemed to be getting ready to pour down. "Understood, rest would be the best judgement for all of us..though.." She paused and looked to the city , crossing her arms,"I do not need any sort of rest as of now and you three should suffice being together. I will gather information with Arumat and we will return shortly. Tifa, I trust this woman's health in your care. Boy, do not die..." She wanted to add 'because I wish to be the one to kill you' but decided not to, being good was such a drag.

She then looked to Tifa and then tapped a few things on her arm as she pulled out a small device, it was a communicator. She then tossed it to the woman and spoke in her dry tone,"I will report back to you via this, if you also wish to know where Arumat and I are then contact me by pressing the button on the ear piece..." She then walked next to Arumat and whispered,"I have something to show you, Arumat...perhaps it will help with your deteriorating life clock. " She said loud enough only for the man to hear as she walked off, wanting him to follow and be enticed on how she knew such information about him.

"Tifa, I will get dinner as well, is there anything you three want in particular? I will search for the proper vendor and acquire anything you wish. " One moment she was taunting Arumat with his disease and now she was offering food to the rest. Her cruelness was slowly bubbling to the surface but only for Arumat's eyes, for now. She smiled a bit, her intentions were quite simple, either get Arumat under her thumb or kill him and blame it on his disease, which was a easy cover up for her story. Plus she wished to hear this tough man scream and beg for his life as she kills him...

Fang arched her brow when tidus seemed to call her a summoner. Well she could only summon one thing but that wasn't saying too much to be honest. She just shrugged and responded,"Guess I am, though as our points have told me, we come from two different places. Perhaps my summons are a bit different. " She assured the man, hoping he wouldn't bust a vein in his forehead over any of this. Life was a bit too short to stress over the little things.

Though when Tidus went into description of Yuna she smiled softly, twirling her glass as she knew what he was hinting at all too well. She then downed the last bit of her drink and looked at the man, wondering what he would do when he finally got his girl. "Oh? Sounds lke you two had a rather fun adventure. Perhaps I will tell you mine one day when I think you are old enough. Oh, I think you messed up on your sentence Tidus. You meant to say, 'I miss Yuna, I love her'. Young love is beyond words. You two sound like regular love birds! " She teased him on both things, referring to him as a kid and his obvious infatuation with the summoner named Yuna. She could see it rather well, but perhaps she was over judging it and it was the alcohol talking.

Though hearing the depressing statement of him wishing he could find anyone he knew Fang teased,"Going to guess I am not that great of company hm? Way to make a girl feel good about themselves. " Though she patted his shoulder and offered aT smile,"Listen Tidus, you will never get your goal with that sort of attitude. My quest has taught me a few things, to never doubt yourself, and to never give up on your goals even if you have to fight a god to get what you want then do so considering happiness is always hard to obtain, and well girls with pink hair and a stern attitude give a good left hook when you piss them off....though thats not really helpful on the situation is it? " Fang laughed a bit louder, trying to lighten this thick air with a joke or two.

Then a rather sweet toned voice rang in Fang's ears as she was being addressed as the summoner of Bahamut. She arched her brow and looked to the girl, her eyes scanning her of course as she wanted to know what this person looked like. She tilted her head and smiled,"Yes I can and he is? Might have to rub that in Light's face when I see her. " She joked as she rested her cheek on her fist, which her elbow was on the counter, just smiling at the girl . She oddly reminded her of Vanille which was a compliment in the ole Oerba's eyes. Fang nodded,"Yeah I do, all my friends are able to summon something, they are our guardians and watchers, to keep up on track of our goals. " She commented in her smooth tone only to chuckle, this girl was a bundle of energy. She was actually pretty cute especially with that light blush in her cheeks.

Hearing Rydia introduce herself and ask for forgiveness Fang simply stood up to her full height and offered her hand to the green haired woman. "No harm, no foul here.~ The name is Oerba Yun Fang, its my pleasure to meet you Rydia. Well there is one thing you can do to make up for it. " Once the handshake was done she tapped her cheek, looking to the side as she tossed out what she was hinting at,"Give us a extra set of eyes while we look for our friend and in return , I will gladly lend you mine and my spear if anyone dares to harm you. I am the strongest one here after all.~ " She winked at Tidus, just honestly playing around as Fang could tell both people here were strong, perhaps even stronger then her but that wasn't the point right now. Her goal was simple, finding the friends of the cute girl and the love struck boy, only in hopes to find someone from her home, even Sazh would be a blessing.

She had to address the girl a little more, why because she seemed really sweet." Well you can talk to me as much as you like Rydia, I gotta say you are a lovely addition to the group. " Fang winked at the girl only to pat on the chair,"Go ahead and order a drink Rydia, its on me. Also if you could, tell us a little bit about anyone you wish to find? I need to know who is missing their green hair bundle of happiness.~ " She joked as she simply was content. Perhaps it was better if Vanille wasn't here, after all this just meant another trial and she dared to not put her through it agan.

"Get 'em! Shred 'em! Unleash Hell!"

                                                                          User ImagexxxxxxxUser ImagexxxxxxxUser Imagexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
