Not really sure why I am still awake. I'm tired and have to work yet I'm still online...

Oh well.

How is everyone?

Hopefully you got some rest, Rebs.

I'm okay. Have orientation for my nursing job today. Kind of excited.
Really nervous I'm going to, y'know, vomit on somebody - haha.
Super excited to quit my housekeeping/laundry gig. Going to stay a
week or so as a formality, but IT'S OVERRRRR. Feels good, man.

Had to put my kitty down this week. She was my fluffy-butt, old-lady kitty.
Had her for, like, fifteen years. The house doesn't feel the same. Don't like it.
Neither does my old man kitty. He just lays in her usual spot all day. Argh.
But he also snuggles a lot more, so that's nice.

Annnd my papa starts chemo for the second time tomorrow. Called him late
last night and he's scared. Breaks my stupid heart. He doesn't really want to
do it (like at all), but he knows it'll make my Nana feel better so... chemo it is.
He's scared. She's even more scared. If I'm not working I'm going to head over
to the hospital and try to distract her, maybe take her to lunch or something.

Oh geez that's a lot to happen at once. O.O

I'm sorry about your kitty sad
But a super snuggly kitty is good consolation, especially knowing fifteen years is a good life for cats.

Welp, I now have my weekly dose of sad.

Just found out that last night, my uncle passed away. I really don't know how I'm supposed to feel. Growing up I wasn't particularly close to him but I did look up to him. He was quiet and incredibly smart and knew how to play the stock market. Until a few years ago I had no idea of what was going on. His and my aunt's divorce was kind of a wake up call. His family was nasty to us, he was nasty to us(especially my poor cousin, even though most of her life he WAS her dad even though she's from a previous marriage) and my family spoke about him in hushed tones.

A few months ago he got in a really, really bad car accident and he was in a coma for a while but when he woke up I thought it was gonna be okay. I am just so confused right now and I'm actually finding myself on my older sister's side! She blew up at my mom saying my mom didn't care about it, and then stormed out of the house. I mean, I don't think my mom doesn't care, but it doesn't really seem like it's too much of a big deal. But at the same time...just...gah.

Sorry I know this is probably a big jumble but so is my brain right now.

Allo!!!!!!!
...At least Texas tends to be pretty patriotic...?

I've been so stressed out lately but pretty good. smile
Everything is so exciting and I'm still loving Sunglass Hut. My one year anniversary is coming up very very soon, if it hasn't already passed. ^.^

My Dumdum missed his chance for Airborne this year. He was promised a spot a while ago and that fell through so now for the second time they've tried to get him as a walk-on. Well, last time they were full so no dice and this time he didn't know walk-ons had to be there an hour before everyone else and so was there at the time the website said and once again has to wait. As long as it happens eventually, I guess.

We are slowly getting excited about moving to Texas. Just worried about moving the cats, and having to leave Ashton's school, which we love sad

Rebs.
Thanks for the condolences. Appreciate it.
I'm very sorry to hear about your uncle. Remember that
everyone grieves in their own way - your mom may not want you
or your sister to see her upset or maybe the fact that he's gone hasn't
really kicked in or maybe, hey, she's already accepted it and moved on.
Whatever the case, try not to judge her too harshly. Just be there.
We were just told my Papa has about six months left, give or take. My Nana
(who's been flipping out constantly over every little ailment he has) is totally fine.
She's acting as if nothing is happening -everything is fine. Shock makes people react strangely.

Rachuul.
Moving cats is craaaazy. Some vets will give you sedatives to give them for the road.
We had to use sedatives when we moved Colorado to Georgia the first time. Or we
attempted to. Vet gave us pills and the cats wouldn't take them. It was an interesting trip.
Depending on where you go... Texas mostly ******** sucks.
Don't care what anyone says. I hate this place.

I cannot wait till we leave.
sweatdrop

Having to plan an entire day to go to a decent mall sucks. Or even go do something fun sucks.
Why? Because it's at least 1hr to a outlet that's expensive and 2 hours to good stuff. 1 direction. Not including traffic or slow downs from all the construction because there is construction in every direction.

Sure people are patriotic but don't ever say Obama.
Just do not.
Better yet. Don't talk about politics at all. With anyone.
I'm already weary of asking "Do you know who the president is" for patients that have head injuries/were unconscious for any reason. I'm either going to get no reaction or a rant.

Not sure where you'll be going but Fort Hood has TONS of schools. There's some on base and pretty much every off base school has been 'Adopted' by the base. There's more Elementary and Middle than High. And if you end up here.. please for the love of god avoid the South side of town if you choose to live off base. Just avoid it. It's bad area. Like.. people get shot over there. Had a pt that got beat up for a 6pk of beer. It was nasty.

I graduate my EMT class Dec 12th. Almost dooone.
Finished my ride outs last night. So I'm all done with clinicals.
Now I need to hammer down on reviewing and things I suck at (like the heart) so I can pass my National Registry test to be state and nationally registered.

Sorry about your kitty =(
Losing a pet sucks. Just remember all the good times~

I think she's already moved on, sorry what I meant was I actually defended her. My mom couldn't understand why Sarah got so mad at her and I tried to explain that we grew up thinking everything between my aunt and uncle was how it was supposed to be between a husband and wife, meanwhile my mom and dad knew that wasn't entirely the case. She was upset when he got in his crash, and I think from that my mom kinda accepted that he wasn't making it out of a coma and when he did he wasn't in great health and she knew he really wasn't a happy person so hopefully he's happier now... I hope I could never think my mom didn't care. I'm pretty sure I got from her my near inability to think of ANY death with indifference, whether I knew the person or not.

Husband is already at Hood.
He says it feels old, haha.

And poor thing has to share a room with two other guys!
I guess he finally gets to have a barracks experience.
