If you want to find your IRL friends ask them for their Gaia name
and I would never add my real name to my account. I think it would be bad that is information that you shold not give out on the internet to people you do not know.

I implore you Gaia. Don't do this. As a denizen of nearly five years, this idea greatly upsets me. I can't tell you how much. I joined this site because I love anime, and because I enjoyed talking to people who also like anime. Roleplaying was another draw for me, as well as creating a unique avatar which looks nothing like me. Don't turn this site into Facebook. Please.

I wouldn't judging by the opinion of the people here most'll choose the private setting. If 8/10 people vote no then it'll be a wasted feature except by the 2%.
