Magic. It stunk up everything it touched, ran foul in the ether trails his kind followed and disgusted them with the lies it left strewn about. Not like them; they had achieved a state of perfection and openly looked down upon those who clung to children's stories and old, dead men. As much as it was detested they did not avoid it, instead they sought it out to destroy it, and make perfect all the threads of all the realities they inhabited.
The appearance of a tall, young blonde in the streets of Durem was sudden and accompanied with a building storm, warm rain disappearing just as soon as it slapped the pavement, wind whipping about like no bodies busyness, with a radius large enough to cover a greater majority of the city. From sharp, Prussian features his eyes peered out, lidless, hauntingly vacant, with only the smallest definition of a pupil, multiple crescents that danced in and out of each other, glowing against almost white skin, the flesh of the cheeks and forehead splattered with freckles the same glowing blue as the eyes.
Oblivious to the squall that followed it, it strut on clad head to toe in sombre black, a western over coat over black jeans tucked into blue soled converse sneakers, its movements were exaggerated, the human shaped creature was nearly nine feet tall, when hands moved to its face, they were long and snake like, twisting around as if the bounds of science had escaped them. The mass that formed the lower jaw was of broken mandibles, held together like clasped hands, with bits of teeth and bone to give the illusion of a proper mouth when it opened the space to speak or eat.
Two things had drawn it so far.
Magic; the quest to enlighten the ignorant and/or destroy when it found irksome and it could feel, smell, taste and hear a certain woman it had allowed to share a small connection with itself, and in a fit of boredom, it had come to seek her out.
Like a normal person might do, it had been told.
With a stiff upper lip, the creature entered the building, minding the signage with an unhappy huff. The jingle of the door so far being the highlight in its own mind, considering the door was want to close itself. Shuffling his thoughts away from the annoyance, it allowed the sight of the interior to infest in its mind, committing it to memory as he followed the flow of the books and enchanted items.
