Welcome to Gaia! ::

Dangerous Lunatic

((Just to clarify for you, the sword Wyvern saw broken back at the Ashita was her Vicious Vice katana, which I assume Wyvern may or may not have kept.))

<Senselessly slaughtering Trinity, huh. Looks like someone had a soft spot for her more killing ways. Then again, it may be that personality that draws someone like Wyvern to her. He did not want to kill her more than he wanted to use her. She knew this, but knew she was never going to allow him the pleasure of that. He already had his chance and was not going to return for him to reep the rewards again. She was going to make sure of it. At least it confirmed her thoughts: it looked like she really was being used in an attempt to kill all those she cared for. Only Kalar and Maria had the power to stop her it seemed. But she will always dislike Kalar. He was too much of a meddler in her affairs.>

"Hm?"

<She removed the sheathed weapon on her back, still held within its scabbard. Her eyes moved toward Wyvern when he spoke so demandingly for her to keep the sword intact. Now she was curious because she knew exactly what that meant. Not to mention, she was just as stubborn to listening to his threats.>

"I know this sword."

<She began sliding it out of its scabbard, causing the negative energy swarming upon it to begin going wild as it was being released from its cover.>

"This weapon once belonged to a former friend of mines. The fact that I have it only means that she is making it very known that she still has me in her grasp."

<When she finally drew it, the blade dripped its black ethereal liquid onto the ground, causing the grass to instantly turn to a dry brown as the life was sucked out of it.>

"It is called Clymenus's Nail, the Sword of the Doom Pit."

<This weapon was by far one of the most deadliest weapons in the living world. One slash on a normal human and whatever part of their body was hit would have a fast decaying effect that could resort in rotting, and eventually death. It could only be wielded by the wicked and skilled, for even the user was just as vulnerable to its effect. The only way you would not be affected by its power is if you were already dead or already had negative energy within your body. Vivillian had used this many times in their days together as partners in crime...the days when they did not see one another as enemy. But as lovers.>

<She moved her eyes toward Wyvern, as if waiting for him to live up to his words.>

No regrets, 'cause I've got nothin to lose...

JJ was pissed. He had missed a perfectly good chance to fill James Eredas with lead, and had missed it. Why? Too much publicity. With demons, monks, and god-knows-what-else populating the Charred forest, he didn't dare take his shot.

So what did he do instead?

Go to the arena, and kill some drunks. Of course.

One particularly unpleasant dwarf charged at him with a rusted axe held high. He was a bit displeased with James, who had just shot his best friend in the face.

James sidestepped the awkward swing, kneed the man in the chest, then pulled out his gun and fired a bullet of reddish white energy. It struck the man in the elbow, and with a loud bang, burst, blowing the Dwarf's right arm clean off. A half orc approached next, swinging a broadsword in a wide arc. JJ ducked in, and fired a round into the man's.... Sensitive parts. There was a similar bang followed by screams and a bit of a mess. The remainder of the street toughs turned to run, not able to compete with the Gunmage.

He took a shot at the back of a fleeing Drow's leg, blasting it off with the same flash of red-white light. The man fell to the ground with a scream.

His slaughter finished, he sighed, decidedly unsatisfied, and strolled casually away, back in the direction of the Market Ward.

So I'm gonna live my life as I choose,

Seven Plagues of the Seven Angels

The Ladies Ward

"So thats it huh?', the celestial martial artist spoke aloud through the empty halls of the blood bath as he crouched over the small girls torn body at the foot of the massive carpeted stairway made red with the stains of her and her families blood. Sieg looked to have recently been crying with his tears charged with his divine power and becoming holy water as soon as they hit the ground. Yet despite the tears, Siegs appearance seemed strange. While he still had the remnants of physical damage riddled about his body from the battle, judging by the way he moved he had not let it affect them. Sieg appeared even older now, even more weighed down by the weight of the world.

"I'm the sane man stuck in a world of insane people.", Sieg concluded looking up from the bloody marred corpse in the space above it. Sieg hadn't even noticed what Leo had done to him. His body, mind and soul actively protected one another even when he had been unconscious dispelling any changes Leo had done to his body. One of the reasons why Siegs body was so effective at making this change was because after Sieg had awoken from the battle his body was still charged with the conceptual force of the law frozen in that single unbending state. He rose from his crouched position and said;

"So...Is this ok?"

Sieg asked the spirits of the family. When people were killed violently often there spirits inhabit there homes. It was a haunting that resulted from people not really being cognizant of the fact that they died and accepting of there fate to move on to the next world. Sieg was an exorcist as well and he could see the spirits and speak to them as he could speak to anyone else utilizing the language of the sun and moon. Sieg walked over to the end pedestal at the stairway to lean weakly on the white column, feeling so incredibly tired.

"You guys worship Boccop right?"

Sieg didn't' consider Boccop a god, due to his belief that there was one true god however there was no question that this being Boccop existed in Siegs mind. Sieg could tell that they worshiped the god of magic based on many of the finery and runic artifacts they just had around the house. Boccob was a distant god, or individual of worship, and Sieg assumed like many of these false gods Boccop hosted some sort of plane of existence that the souls of his worshipers went to as there final resting place. It was a fact that Sieg had long ago accepted, as Gaia had already long taught him that there are many profane ways to ignore the final judgment of heaven. Yet despite all this, Sieg did not look up with anger or fury at the little girls floating semi-transparent ghost. He barely even seemed to notice as the spirits of the rest of her family coalesced around her. They each nodded to answer his question about their god.

"This isn't right."

The ghost spoke in unison. Maybe they did have a destiny of becoming a part of the fabric of magic or nature in there next life but were they appreciative of the slaughter? Did they wish it upon the next family that tickled there murderers fancy? Sieg looked into there ectoplasmic eyes and he saw that it was not vengeance that called them to speak but responsibility to there fellow man. The father stepped out from beside his daughter, each of there elven faces riddled with expressions of determination.

"Do you know of Incarnum?"

Seven Devils get Strangled by the Seven Holiest Triangles
"Well, this is awkward."Darcy uttered as she scratched at some dry skin on the side of his neck with a gloved hand. At first, his goal was to head into a warehouse door to see what the contents held but the door ended up leading elsewhere. He came out in a relatively lowly city area. Darcy was a relatively tall man, measuring about 6' 4'' tall with an average physique. A pair of sunglasses shaded his eyes though they were unnecessary for the time of day. Removing them, he tucked them into his black pea-coat jacket. A pair of cat-like glassy blue eyes scanned around for any sign of a place that looked familiar where he stood. Nothing. Venturing out of the narrow alley he had come out into, he made it out into the streets that seemed to be bustling. Something was going on...and the fiery sky probably had something to do with it.

From his raven, shaggy hair, a pair of blue fins emerged, fanning out as he listened. "Aye, some tall bloke with a bright light and a few others went at it at the border of Sigil." "Really? Hope they don't come this way...I gots children to take care off and I can't take 'em all outta here right away." "Aye, I hope so as well..." The fins disappeared back into his hair, tucking against his scalp until needed. Adjusting the black leather cowboy hat on his head, he ventured around, having concluded that he needed to locate some familiar territory...and perhaps a little more information onto what was going on.

A Tavern, a central hub for whispers and talkative people was a good way to start. From the smells traveling around the city, there were many forms of life. Dwarves, Elves...something with six legs...Many. "Might as well probe around a bit, see what this city of 'Sigil' will provide..."He chuckled throatily.
"What do you mean? Twenty-thousand gold pieces?!"

The exclamation carried loud through the market place, despite the constant crowds milling around the place. There could have been any number of reasons why the man had drawn such attention, but the most likely one was the rather large minotaur standing at his side. People tended to look when large dangerous beasts and anger were involved.

"I couldn't possibly part with it for any less, I'm sorry but that is the price you will have to pay if you want this ruby, sir."

The color began to rise in Jack's cheeks as he became aware of the people around him beginning to watch. He'd lost his temper a few times already, the gem dealer wasn't willing to budge. He just stood behind the stand, his golden jewelry laced over his grease covered figure. One hand rested on his large belly while another clutched the ruby like the prize it was. It all served to fuel Jack's fury. He looked like an idiot now, and he needed that ruby, if he ever wanted to get her back...

"Listen, fatso, give me the gem, now!"

"Hmm, and why would I do that?"

"Because if you don't my friend behind me is going to make you half as tall."

The shop keep smiled as Jack threatened him. It was clear the man had received threats before as he ran his free hand over his chin in contemplation. Jack's teeth were clenched as he waited, his own hand outstretched in expectancy, waiting for the gem to be delivered.

"My friend, you're not going to do anything. Now calmly step aside, so that real customers can buy."

With that the man seemingly shooed Jack away with a waving motion of his hand. Anger blossomed on Jack's cheeks as the man said this. His outstretched hand clenched into a fist, his lip trembling in rage.

"Minotaur, STRIKE HIM DOWN!!!"

With unseen speed and zero contemplation, the colossal beastman raised the axe in his hand and brought it down on the merchant. With a sickening crunch the metal bit him down to the core, sending a spray of gore over the crowd.

Anyone that hadn't been paying attention suddenly understood the situation as the Minotaur had cleaved the poor merchant. Women began to shriek and the odd brave man growled in anger, but the Minotaur put a damper on any bravery they might have had. It didn't take long for chaos to break out, the crowd peeling away in random directions.

Amongst all the confusion Jack leaped over the now demolished stand, and pried the ruby away from the man's hand. The authorities would be here any minute, and he still had to send the ruby to his master if he ever wanted her back. Reaching deep into his pocket he pulled out the scroll of sending he'd been given. He needed time to get the gem away, and hopefully his minotaur would buy him some, from any police force or stupid hero.
A woman ran by him screaming.

Location: Market Ward

Another, and another. Darcy looked up to see a foreboding figure standing up above the crowd, a dark eyebrow raising. To go towards the chaos or toward it? "..."Darcy thought on this quite hard actually. A man ran by holding a sack of something probably precious to him. Well...Fastest way to get out of a situation is to go with the crowd...but he wanted to actually see what was going on. Toward the figure then. Darcy stepped off to the side, edging his way through the screaming people. As he got closer, the visible features of a Minotaur showed up. "Oh, He's a big fella..."He whistled, looking upwards and tipping the front of his hat up.
The minotaur mostly ignored Darcy as he neared Jack. It's massive head craned around and over the heads of most in the crowd. It seemed it was keeping an eye out for trouble, rather than looking to make any more. With a sharp exhalation of his breath he stamped his foot and bellowed out over the crowd, hoping to deter any heroes waiting in the wings. There wouldn't be a lot of time now before someone was foolish and stepped in. Jack needed more time to get the ruby off, as he still tried to decipher the runes on the parchment before him.
Wyvern

~~~The Pub of Nine Swords~~~
"Hmm, would she kill you...well you said she was collapsed outside in the forest, so I would assume that she is confused and tired, but there is one way to make sure of it. Besides, you don't seem to be enjoying yourself in here young lady. So, how about I escort you out to find her. If things get a bit to hot, then I'll make sure she doesn't lay a hand on you...I may be old, but I'm quite limber for my age after all!" The old man seemed to be showing off his physical capabilities as he pretended to flex his muscles to amuse the young girl. "After all, I once taught students at a temple, taught them the means of defense and that such a thing should only be used to protect, and I wouldn't mind protecting you while you got the answers yourself from that scary woman...How about it? As for that man, I guess I can't tell you who he is unless I know more about him..." The imposter stood there with a head cocked to the side as he awaited the young ladies answers. Wyvern himself wanted to bring this girl out to test two things, he wanted to see Trinity's reaction first hand and from that, he would find out the second thing he wanted to know.
(( Post was a little rushed because I am as tired as sin...good night... ))
"She didn't look too tired to me." Hotaru watched the man as he flexed and couldn't help but giggle a little. He didn't look like he could beat anything up and didn't want him to get mixed up with someone like Trinity. She seemed like the puppy kicker type, so she probably had no qualms against beating up an old man. She hopped down from her chair. "Thanks, but I don't think it's a good idea....Though...We could spy on her." If Trinity couldn't catch onto Hotaru's little transform trick then they could probably spy on her undetected.
~~~The uncharred forest of Sigil~~~

She may have seen his movements as she spoke, looking at the blade, wrapping his right sleeve over so that the elbow was at his center and his hand would be at his left shoulder, after all, he had just ripped off one of his arms. He had indeed warned her what he was going to do, and he was going to make it painfully clear that he wasn't in the mood for her to make such actions.

Before she could finish her words, Wyvern was on the move, quicker, however, this time. He was not using natural speed like he had previously used to get them here. His muscles were pumped full of energy, what he was doing now was considered a monk art, similar to what Sieg used. The idea is that you force energy through your system to enhance your physical attributes. Wyvern never really used this...ever actually within Trinity's presence, that was because something about his past had started to catch up to him recently.

Like before, his stance was low, and his eyes glowed with an increased brightness. The eyes were looking for any increase in energy within her body or her swords or the area around him. If there was an increase in energy, he could assume that through that limb she would use some type of technique.

The stance he had was relatively balanced and allowed for a multitude of reactions based on action. If he was fast enough, it could lead into a hit, if he wasn't fast enough, it could lead into an attempted parry with his arm or even to catch her arm before she could hit him, catching at the wrist, hopefully. Depending on which foot he executed his actions off he could either go for power, with his right foot in lead, or balance, with his left foot in lead. The point was to close in as quickly as possible and make an action based off of that. He was well aware she could just make her body erupt with the hellfire, but if it came to that, though it was very self damaging, he had a rebuttal ready.

It would shot through to her head, like a psychic message, though the truth was, Wyvern was using the shadow's to speak to her, their quivering voices speaking in her head as if he was using ESP (Cosmetic effect for plot driven uses only).
'Drop the sword.' That was all they said, but they kept saying it over and over within her head for a good few seconds, though it wouldn't matter how long they were saying it for because if she didn't act quickly, she would only hear it once.

~~~The Pub of Nine Swords~~~
"Sounds like a good idea. Now you said she was in the forest right? Perhaps she has returned to the forest...but since the forest over there is filled with people and fire by now, she would probably head to the forest on the other side...Alright then! You lead the pace little lady. I may be old, but I think I can still keep up with you youngin's. After all, I can't be in that bad shape if I used to teach them how to fight now could I?" There was a large smile on his face again as he began to head to the front door, waiting for the little one to lead the pace for them to head out, hands behind his back as old people, and old masters did. "Ready when you are!"
(( Wanted to make the post longer but way to tired at the moment and worn out. I'll try to post again before work tomorrow, sorry about the lack of activity. Also, I figured this would be more a cosmetic type exchange of 'swords', you know, to seem a bit flashy about it. ))
(( One more thing Trinity, I know it doesn't matter much IC because but as an OOC thing, it isn't so much that he wants to completely control her but instead control through persuasion. If he can make you believe in what he is saying to be right and get you to act as such, it is all good. He want's the person to keep there general personality, arts, and so forth, but he want's to persuade their judgment, more or less...kind of like the little devil on your shoulder but not so little... ))
Dangerous Lunatic
((Yeah, I can tell he was doing something like that. It isn't hard to persuade. It just requires skill with the tongue. After all, she has to believe some of the stuff Wyvern says since she's walking around in the dark.))
<Wyvern was actually living up to his words. He was on his way to attack her and at a very swift speed, too. She had only a window of time for one action. His voice seemed to ring in a very different method, a way she never experienced from him before. It looked to her that he may actually have a legit reason behind her drawing this sword. It could be that this weapon may just be a way for Vivillian to gain control of her again. In fact, Trinity was foolish to draw the weapon to begin with. However, this was her rebellious nature dominating. She felt like going against the caution people gave her to show her superiority in never worrying about such things. It was her way of expressing more of her pride.>
<Since the scabbard was still parallel with the drawn blade, all she did was slide the scabbard back over it, so when Wyvern was just within a foot of her, the weapon had been returned to its storage. Trinity remained in her sitting position without moving an inch, never letting her eyes leave his approaching body. She did not even bother to put up any guard. She wanted to see if he really was going to continue the attack or not. Wyvern needed a little beating anyway, like a child acting up in front of his parent.>
Outside the Pub of Nine Swords
Sigil was certainly an easy place to get lost in, that was for sure. A city this big and confusing in its design was difficult to navigate. Tenkai had a great sense of direction most of the time, so finding his way around Sigil shouldn't have been a problem, right?
Unfortunately, now wasn't one of those times.
I think I passed this statue already.
There he was, standing in front of a stone statue carved from the same stone as its pedestal. It was the statue of a short bearded man with squat features, most likely a dwarf, seated in a pose that reminded Tenkai of Rodin's Thinker. The monk couldn't help but look at the statue each time he passed it, realizing he had just been walking in circles. He didn't know what the statue was for, and it didn't seem to be some sort of landmark or point of interest in the city. Maybe someone was trying to sell it.
All Tenkai knew was that he'd probably start getting dizzy if he didn't sit down somewhere that was less expansive.
Luckily, he had managed to spot a building a few yards away this time around. He only needed to glance at the sign hanging perpendicular to the front wall to figure out what it was.
Ahhh, a tavern. How fortunate!
Tavern, pub, bar...the semantics weren't important to Tenkai. As with all major cities, there was always a healthy supply of social gathering establishments, particularly of the alcohol-serving variety. Sigil was obviously no exception. Taverns and inns were ideal places for gathering and sharing information, especially old ones with a lot of history. The older the establishment, the more likely it was to find someone who knew their way around the city it was built in. Old taverns were also ideal connections to the underground. If something was going on inside the underworld of a particular city, you probably weren't going to hear about it in some modern bar or night club that just opened a few weeks ago.
And it looks rather cozy, too.
Wasting no time at all, Tenkai made his way through the doors of the Pub of Nine Swords. As alien as he looked in other places with his Buddhist monk robes, he was no more alien than all of the other travelers that had come from far away to trade their wares and spend their time at a pub. And much to his surprise, it seemed as if the pub was being run by dwarves. Suddenly that statue he had seen before had become much less out of place.
Tres stood in the mini-kitchen of his apartment, boiling some water to make some of that quick starbucks instant coffee. He was giving Gloria a chance to recoup after her sudden but very fruitful ordeal, frankly Tres was surprised it had worked as well as it did and not with her comatose or anything. He was actually kind of jealous. What Gloria had managed to accomplish was something that he had to go through a prolonged excruciating process to complete but such shortcuts were the nature of Gaia Prime.
He hunched his shoulders and tilted his head in anxiousness for the water to begin boiling as he began to think of what exactly he should try to get her to do so she could feel that reserved psionic energy in action. it had to be something extremely simple. Manifesting each Psionic Powers required precise and specific training and before that could even begin a regiment of physical and mental exercises needed to begin to strengthen and fortify the body for the strain.
