Character Storage of Adventures
This journal comprises of the trials and tribulations of my characters as I played them through a number of different video games.
Concerns for Apostates and Blood Magic
A letter that had caught my attention was from the seductress Idunna, who wrote to warn me about the various manuscripts the blood mage Tarohne wrote about the ancient ways of the Tevinter Mages of the old Imperium. After the time she spent under the guidance of the Circle, she understood just how dangerous those tomes could be if they fell into the wrong hands. This was definitely something I would need to keep an eye out for, though I hoped that Merrill’s experience with blood magic would be of use in finding these volumes.

Terrie, one of the Starkhaven mages we rescued from the Templars three years prior, wrote to thank me for all we did to help her and her fellow mages. Believing that I could be trusted to help even more mages bypass the Templars, she hoped that I would head to the Docks to speak with a Mistress Selby. More than anything, I prayed that the apostates I was asked to assist would not find the books I was requested to seek and destroy.

When my fellow mages and I approached Mistress Selby, she told us how she came to start the movement to protect and smuggle mages out of Kirkwall. Her sister was a mage who joined the Circle in her youth. They had always kept in touch, and she knew her sister to be innocent and harmless. Too gentle to hurt a fly, as the saying goes. Mistress Selby no longer recognizes her sister for she had been made Tranquil for reasons no one will explain to her. After Merrill, Anders, and I witnessed the struggles that Feynriel had experienced in the Fade, we wondered if the sister feared her powers as much as he did. It was a question we could not ask without upsetting the young woman.

Mistress Selby had a book for us to look through that detailed several different opportunities to help a number of different mages seeking freedom from the confines of the Circle and the ever-watchful Templars. One such assignment was to rescue a mage that was being held captive around the Wounded Coast, while the other was more or less a smear campaign against a Templar who was too good at their job as a mage hunter. We agreed to take up both jobs, though one would take more time than the other…
