< January: I wanted to make an avi with my newly acquired Deinocti's Oath and Keen Bandit. I was also trying to work with the Blue Acinonyx hair. The end result was this avi, some sort of fancy-fighter. The combo of the Long Black Sparkle Top and the blue skirt from Secret Retreat is something that I will probably try using again sometime. The top is just the right length to have only the diamond pattern of the skirt visible. The layering of the Neutral Starter Fantasy Boots and Coal Black Rivet Heels also pleases me. A later addition to this avi was the SDPlus #025 Liam headband, which connected to the lace from Lumiere Noire.

> March: This time I was trying to work with Cybertronic Layer and my newly acquired SDPlus #272 Majoko Mariko. I didn't want to wear any pants or a skirt with the bodysuit, so I turned to legwarmers. Violet Deluxe Holiday Legwarmers looked pretty good with the bodysuit and eyes, they weren't too short and there was a neat yellow band across the top. The purple hair from Seracila Pendant and Golden Laurels balanced it well on top, and I added a few extra items to finish it off. The water from Gogh Reed added a nice splash of vibrant color.

< April: Working with Sweet Lunarian, Audio Starlet Blue Rei and Lethal Yandere made this avi pretty easy to finish. The most difficult part of this avatar was finding some suitable shoes. I ended up making a mash of Enchanted Book and Jenny's Sentimental Open-Toe Shoes, then covering the whole lot with a Light Spirit. I liked the colors and softness of this avi, but there were a few things that bugged me about it. 1) The hair and circle on the ground flow in opposite directions. 2) The black dots on the Tomorgenne Maid. 3) The white parts of the hair forced me to try to incorporate white into this avi.

> July: I had the base items for this outfit saved for over a month, but couldn't finish it. I started with Nikola's Yo-Yo top, chucked on Mizuchi's Jewel gloves, ribbons from Mint Chocolate Queen of Cups, Majoko Mariko anklets and Checkmate Void pants. Then I got stuck. So I tried out a myriad of other items, tweaking and editing things for month. Then I got my hands on a newly released Zorya Polunochnaya and worked that into this avi. The final product was this bright blue & black avi with swirls and ribbons! She looks like some sort of space-fighter type. I especially liked the silver detailing on the hat.

< August: A tweaked version of the previous avi after the release of Comet Breaker. The addition of the coat led to modifications of other parts of the outfit. Key items of the earlier version (Nikola's Yo-Yo top and Zorya Polunochnaya hair) were swapped balance the changes. This resulted in a different feel for the avatar. Instead of curls and swirls, there were sharp corners and angles. I prefer this new variation, as there's better colour balance and less clutter. The silver detailing flows better, with the white band of the Mystery of the Stolen Sapphires hat flowing into long ribbons from Fremere's Guard.

> September: Tried to work with my new Pale Marionette and Lady Alzbeta. Threw them on, then chucked on a bunch of blue and black items. I liked the layering of Mizuki's Glaive Weapons Obi. It adds detail to the torso, which combined with the Wandering Hermit gloves and Starlit Promise lace makes an intricate outfit. The rest of the avi is a bit messy. I couldn't find a nice hairstyle and it looks a bit bare around the head and feet. Overall, I didn't like this avi much. It's a bit too cluttered and unbalanced.

< October: This one's been sitting unfinished in my closet for the past two months. I wanted to work with the hair from SDPlus #054 Katsumi and Artificer Apprentice. It was a bit tricky finding something to go on the head without cropping the hair weirdly, but I got around that by wearing Radioactive Blue Raving Goggles over the wonky section. I finally managed to use my Minero Scroll. I bought that thing months ago, but couldn't work it into an outfit. The pants crop many shoes strangely for some reason, making it difficult to find shoes that match. I still think I need a spot of blue around the feet somehow.

> November: Messing with Raven's Deceit, I just chucked on a bunch of blue items and new stuff that I'd bought. I was going for an asymmetrical-cyber-fairy look. It took a while to find someone selling the Nervegas Crisis doll for a price that I was willing to pay. The headband looks like a pair of antennae (sorta). Finding shoes to match was a bit tricky, and the bangs look a little odd, but overall I like it. The animated wings were fun to watch. :D

< December: Finally managed to use Lady Sake and Lady Gari. I bought them months ago, but couldn't work them into an outfit. Originally the Dappy gown wasn't included and I was aiming for a magical-girl outfit. I couldn't find shoes to match, so I used the dress (one of my favourites - it's so pretty <3). I want to find a better hair. Kuro's Induction is nice, but a bit plain. Heh, I've used the Majoko eyes for most of my avis this year, they're so cute. <3

> December: Bought The Lovers recently and wanted to make an avi with it. Picked out my favourite pose then chucked on a few other items that I'd bought, but never worn. Asena's hair was on the outfit during most of the tinkering, but it looked too smooth. Yorick's hair had more texture. The sash from Vampire's Judgment was a last minute addition, but it looks pretty cool. Overall she's some kind of wild-moon-lady? The shoes don't really fit in...

< December: I wanted to incorporate my new Faded Revenant into an avi, and this is the result. It was really easy to make this, just a pile of cream-white items. The combo of Agape, Lovely Lucie and Runcible Spoon is pretty simple. I wanted to make a sweet doll avatar, so I chucked on the Butterfly bow. That added blue to the avi, so I threw on the Azuramella corset. The shoes were a bit tricky, and they don't match exactly, but they're close enough. The Sunset Harvest pants cut off part of the bow, and that annoys me a bit. Otherwise, this is a cute avi. :D
