Part Three
"I'm glad you came Mustang!" Edward said as he rushed to Mustang's side. "She won't listen to reason! She's convinced that your out to kill her." Edward looked and looked his head slightly. "She.....she has Al and is going to kill him unless you listen to her!"
Roy looked at Ed and then at Riza with a worried expression. He never would have thought that his sister would ever....and to Al of all people. "Damn thoes Homunculus! They most have done this to her somehow." He looked over at the square. A crowd had already gathered around a very large platform. But they stayed away from it in fear of what stood there.
Even from where Roy and the others stood they could see who was on the platform. Al stood chained to large stone that Illanya had transmutated. Illanya stood next to him with a knife in her hand. And the Homunculus were there as well or at least three of them were. Gluttony. Lust, and Wrath stood at variuos postions on the platform to make sure nothing stopped Illanya's preformace. But Roy was no fool; he knew Envy and the others would be mixed into the crowd.
Without pausing he followed Edward to the platform. Once there the three Homunculus stood guard over Illanya and Al. "ILLANYA!" Roy yelled. "What are you doing?"
"I'm setting things right!" Illanya growled. "The Homunculus are like me and they deserve a normal life! But you won't allow it!"
"Illanya...please try to understand," Roy begged. "You don't know the whole story!"
"I know enough! And unless you grant my wish then I'll kill Alphonse!" Illanya threatened.
"Illanya! Let my brother go!" Edward pleaded. "You love him! You said it yourself!"
"Brother!" "Alphonse" cried. "Help me!"
Illanya held the knife at the boy's throat and smiled as he yelped and fell silent. "Shut your mouth Fullmetal. You and your brother are as bad as he is!" She withdrew the knife and pointed it at her brother.
From the corner of Roy's eye he noticed how pale Edward had became. He had never seen the boy look so scared in all his life. "I don't believe you Illanya! You never hurt Alphonse."
"I wouldn't.....would I?" Illanya asked with an evil smile. In the blink of an eye she slide the knife across the young boy's stomach. Not deep but deep enough to draw a nice amount of blood.
"AL!!!!!!!!!!!" Edward screamed as he charged forward. Wrath was ready however and ran forward. Before anyone knew what had happened Edward laid on his back in a cloud of dust.
"Big.......brother," "Al" hissed as his knees slumped slightly.
"Illanya! Stop this!" Riza called. She took a step forward. "This is madness! What's happened to you?"
Illanya withdrew the knife and licked it with a laugh. "You say the Homunculus are monsters but am I so different? Thanks to our father I too became a monster."
"Alphonse" Lifted his head as he quietly said, "Ill.....Illy....your....not... a monster."
Illanya turned to him and simply added another cut to his flesh. This time she sliced each arm. "ARUGH!"
"STOP IT!!!!!!!!" Edward yelled. "Illanya! Al's right! Your not a monster!"
"Oh but I am," Illanya said.
"ENOUGH!" Roy growled as he took a step forward. His expression didn't soften as he said, "Tell me what it is you want. If it's within my power I will grant it."
"I want the Homunculus to be left alone," Illanya said. "I want them to be able to walk out in the public without the military harrassing them."
Roy chewed on his lip for a moment and then snapped his fingers. To his shock nothing happened. "What the......."
At that Illanya laughed once more. "What's the matter? Unable to use your speical Alchemy?" She held up a milk white stone. "This is why; so what is your answer?"
"I can't do it!" Roy answered.
"Then you leave me no choice," Illanya said sadly. She placed the knife at the chained boy's throat.
"BROTHER!!!!!!!!!" "Alphonse screamed.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! AL!!!!" Edward yelled charging forward once more.
