A Nobody's History
The history of a unique Nobody named Se'rox Ludiceabes.
The first few days...
A lot about the first few days I do not remember in detail. I know I ate, and slept, and learned a lot.

I already knew how to speak and walk. But the more important thing was seeing. My eyes, for reasons I would not learn for years, would never function. But my abilities with earth helped me to see around. I developed that skill the most, at first, since walking toward where I could get food and water seemed important right away.

It started slowly. One step forward would help me "see" right ahead of me. I almost ran into a tree many, many times, and would walk within a foot of a wall, just to find out it spread twenty feet to each side from there, and have to walk along it for some time to finally get around it. But it was only a matter of days before the "sight" became three paces ahead, then five. Then ten.

I remember in detail the day that ten became twenty, not just for that reason, though without it I certainly never would have had the other experience. But that was a little later on....

As for finding my affinity with water, that was within that trial period, as well. It happened to rain one day. Feeling the rain falling toward me from the sky, it occurred to me that I should not be able to feel the drops coming at me with only an ability of earth. Before I could ponder this too much further, the most interesting thing happened.

I discovered mud.

Certainly, I knew what mud was already. Earth and water mixed to create a semi-liquid, semi-solid substance that people had used at some points to create pots or even homes.

But what I discovered in a mud-puddle created by the rain, was the ability to move it without my hands.

I was standing in the rain, trying to figure out how much control I had over water, since so far my limit of ability with earth was limited to my unique brand of sight. But the water was pretty much ignoring me. Not one to be so easily put off, I sat down. And after some time, the ground I was sitting upon became muddy. Understanding that mud is difficult to clean off, I got up, and started to try to wipe the mud off myself.

I made the motion only once, sweeping it down along my leg to scrape off the mud, and all the mud slid right off. Not only off my leg, but my butt, other leg, and even my hand. Curious, I put my toe into the mud, and lifted my foot. The drop of mud on my toe acted like a string, as when I lifted my foot, it trailed a solid line of mud.

I recall smiling, and leaning down and touching the mud. It seemed to react to my wishes. Before the rain stopped falling the next day, I had made myself a three room mud-house, complete with shelving and furniture framework, and a table and a chair. There was a kitchen with counters, a bedroom, and a dining room. I let it dry, almost completely, knowing the rocky stream nearby could give me enough water to change it if I needed to. I believe I spent the next day gathering leaves and rocks to finish out the furnishings and the counter-top.

I remember thinking that now, I should be happy. I should feel... complete, or at peace, or at least satisfied. Mentally, logically, I was satisfied. I could now survive for more than a few days, and was not at risk of being eaten by animals. But that concerned me. I should feel... something. I was not at peace, and I needed to know why.
