The Village of Radiant The Village of Radiant is a sleepy, backwater place, where many of the small wooden houses look as though they have just been completed. In fact, many of them have...some even seem half-finished, with patchwork roofs or windows missing shutters. Only a few have been painted any other color than solid wood. The blacksmith's forge lies behind the meeting house, the only building not constructed entirely of wood. It is here the blacksmith Hans labors at making weapons to supply the militia. The doctor's infirmary lies in front and to the left of the meeting house; Doctor Adam and his assistant Celia have made haste to prepare many cots and supplies to deal with the incoming wounded they are sure they will receive. A number of villagers who have no talent for fighting have been pulled into service here. Though of no particular importance, the brewer lives and works towards the front of the village. Anyone looking for booze had best see him. The outhouses line the back wall of the village, far away from the other buildings. If anyone were to climb the wall in the back, they might be able to jump down on top of these structures without injury. If they trusted them not to give way, that is...

"Damnit I'm late arent I." Cursed Alan as he ran into the center of the village, coming from the Meeting House. "I bet they all left me already." He took a last bite of the apple, stripping it down to nothing more than the core. He looked around for a trashcan. "Figures, well I have no time for this." He muttered as he tossed the core into an area with some shrubs. It would decompose there. He could see someone standing over by the gates, perhaps they had not left him after all.

He jogged out of the area, heading towards the gates. As he ran he reached into a pocket and pulled out a pair of tinted sunglasses. He flipped them open and put them over his eyes. It was bright outside, he didnt want the sun interfering with his aim at all. Plus this way nobody could tell if he was using his powers or not. It could turn into a tactical advantage.

Upon exiting the Meeting House, Zen took in a breath of the air around him. A certain odor masqueraded about the air, something unfamiliar to a guy like Zen, Oh well. Zen looked around for a quick moment before he saw the gates of Radiant Village, he headed for the exit eagerly, already behind in what he was supposed to be doing.

Cutting through the village and nearly to the gates Zen only wondered if anyone had been killed yet. Zen shook his head and before he knew it he was at the gates.

Lifting his hat off the ground, yellowed eyes simply closed as he began dusting himself off. Moving through the village, and noting the tension that coated the air, he smiled.
Things were off to a start already...
"Well then... I guess that's my cue."

They must be really jumpy today...
Lowering his head and pulling the brim of hat down lower, he made his way further through the village, deciding to take a bit of a detour towards where he had to head.
First thing's first... get in good with them before I get my own stuff done.
He could hear the sounds of animals clearly now.

It was painful, looking at Erik's young wife's face as she sobbed over his corpse. Steve couldn't take it.
Jim didn't understand why she was so upset. "It'll be okay, he's just.."
"Jim," Steve said firmly, cutting him off before the earth mage made matters worse. "Let's go."
And he pulled Jim away from the young woman's house, the house she would now live in alone.

Jim was persuaded to go home, and get some sleep. Steve thought about doing the same, then shook his head. The Mayor had to be told.
With that thought, he headed toward the meeting house.

Wolf! cried the boy, wolf!
No, wait, not wolf.
"Someone's in the forests! He's coming after the villiage!" the frightened young man announced to anyone bearing a weapon he passed.

And on, further, to the meeting house where the adventurers slept on their bunks, would he go to announce this connundrum. O misery, o woe.

Stepping outside into the light, the Vindicare dodged the hustle and bustle of the villagers, trying to get to the walls.

Jacknife burst out of the meeting house, holding a submachine gun in each hand at his side so he could run faster. Damn it was too early for this s**t. His muscles ached as he ran, perhaps they would get better when he woke up more. On a side note, this extra skin stuff seemed pretty flexable and wouldent impede his movement.
