It was time.
Dagon had taken far too long, dithering over preparations. But she had what she needed, now; a map, a path, and a crystal bottle of shimmering water from the first, uncorrupted healing spring. She and Frigoris had recovered what they’d needed from the sacred archives, and while it still made her chest ache to have broken the sacred laws of the Dagonite priesthood, she was sure the gods beneath would forgive, when the survival of the world was at stake.
If the gods still had any power to forgive or not. Perhaps they, too, had been taken, like everything else.
Dagon waited on the edge of a fountain, and though it was shut off for the season, it was still a rallying point that she could offer. A light fog swirled around her feet, a manifestation of magic she carried with her.
Almost four years ago, now, Dagon had arrived not far from this very park, this very fountain. Now, she waited here for those who had responded to the call she had put out asking for assistance in saving her world from Chaos. She alone could not fight through the animate creatures that had begun to amass on her world, and she suspected there would be further protections around the heart of the Chaos.
She could not do this alone. But here, on Earth, there was no need to be alone. She had seen that, over and over. The people of this planet were more than willing to turn out to assist each other. So she had to hope they would arrive to assist her.Quote: Powered Passive: Ominous Presence - Sailor Dagon is always followed by a light fog that swirls about three feet around her. Those who stand within the fog hear strange/eldritch whispers that inspire a feeling of dread or anticipation; allies will generally feel the more positive sort of anticipation, whereas enemies will generally feel dread. Quote: Hello everyone and welcome to the embrace of the deep, Dagon’s sparkly shiny Chaos clear! In about 24 hours (so at 6PM EST tomorrow) I’ll post an update bringing everyone to her planet so the fun part can start in earnest! After that, updates will occur approximately every 48 hours, and if I have to deviate from that I’ll do my best to announce it ahead of time! There will be two parts to this event; each part will last for ~a week! HAVE FUN THANKS FOR COMING LOVE YOU ALL.

Combat Mechanics Combat mechanics are straightforward, dice-based, and tied to stage. Each round will be treated as lasting one minute, so most magic attacks should only last for a single round! Senshi will expend one use of magic per attack; Knights should be treated as using about 5 seconds of their magic pool.
HP
First Stage: 50 HP Second Stage: 75 HP Third Stage: 100 HP Fourth Stage: 125 HP
Damage will be carried between battles!
Physical Attacks:
Physical damage includes hitting with fists or weapons, throwing objects, or otherwise attacking the creature without the use of magic.
Cats in Cat Form should roll 1d6 for physical damage First Stage characters and Cats in Human Form should roll 1d8 for physical damage. Second Stage characters and Sailor Cats should roll 1d10 for physical damage Third Stage characters should roll 1d12 for physical damage Fourth Stage characters should roll 2d8 for physical damage
Magical Attacks
Magical attacks are divided into two categories: direct damage and indirect damage. All attack magic will damage the creature, even things that only affect its many, many feelings! Direct damage magic is any magic that specifies either pain sensations or actual damage in its description. Indirect damage magic is magic that targets opponents with emotional or other nonphysical effects--most debuff magic falls under this category! If you’re not sure which category your magic falls under, feel free to contact me privately and I’ll make a judgement call!
Spell attacks are based on the level of the spell, not the level of the character! However, Chibi senshi should subtract one die from their damage.
Mauvian lasers roll first stage direct damage dice. Sailor Cats using attack magic should roll at Super stage.
Direct Damage
First Stage: 10 + 1d6 damage Second Stage: 10 + 2d6 damage Third Stage: 10 + 3d6 damage Fourth Stage: 10 + 4d6 damage
Indirect Damage:
First Stage: 10 + 1d4 damage Second Stage: 10 + 2d4 damage Third Stage: 10 + 3d4 damage Fourth Stage: 10 + 4d4 damage
Magical Healing:
Magical healing is any ability that restores characters in any way, including Transcendent energy sharing. You can use these spells with a dice roll based on their level.
Spell healing is based on the level of the spell, not the level of the character (except in the case of Transcendent energy giving)! However, Chibi senshi should subtract one die from their healing.
First Stage: 10 + 1d4 healing Second Stage: 10 + 2d4 healing Third Stage: 10 + 3d4 healing Fourth Stage: 10 + 4d4 healing
Buff Magic:
Buff magic is any kind of magic that has an effect that boosts allies' abilities. When casting buff magic, roll as follows and quote any targets affected. They will add your total roll to their damage for the round. Chibi Senshi roll one less die!
First Stage: 2d4 Second Stage: 3d4 Third Stage: 4d4 Fourth Stage: 5d4
Shielding Magic:
Depending on the type of shielding magic, it may simply absorb a round's worth of attacks or provide some damage mitigation. Touch base with me individually for shield spells; I'll give you an answer depending on how they're written!
If you feel your magic doesn't fall into any of these categories, hit me up and we'll work something out!

Frigoris of the MoonFrigoris stood beside Dagon and reached out for her hand, giving a soft smile. “They’ll come.” She hadn’t ever dealt with anything like this before, not in person, not out of person too, if that was a thing but the idea that Order could and would come together? It was a nice one.
She believed in it.
“I’m not sure how many to expect, but I’m very excited to see the results. We’ll make this place as wonderful as it should be.”
Even if Dagon was the Senshi of Dread, it didn’t mean that the real dread should come from Chaos.
“You know you have my support no matter what, and I’ll be right by your side. We’ll beat this.”

Eternal Murikabushi of HungerAs a general rule, Murikabushi always liked to clear time for Things Happening In Space. He liked doing that even more when the Things Happening involved one of the long-surviving space senshi clearing the Chaos infections from their homeworlds. Granted, he’d only had the privilege of doing that twice, first for Fang and then for Daedalus, but both of those excursions had been extremely rewarding to see through to their completion. Something just felt Good And Right about helping the space senshi who’d made it to Earth clean up the Chaos messes that plagued their worlds.
So, naturally, seeing Dagon’s call for aid, Murikabushi had made a beeline for the meeting place. Sashaying toward the fountain, all long legs and high heels and many flouncy layers of skirt and petticoat—not to mention the trail of black roses that followed in his wake—he radiated the energy of somebody who was ready to do the damn thing, even though he had no idea of what the specific damn thing in question was. Obviously, it did matter what the damn thing was/would end up being, so he couldn’t say that that didn’t matter, exactly? But whatever it was, Murikabushi intended to meet it with his customary grace under pressure (—he thought, in his own gay little brain, with almost no fact or reality-checking done on this statement) and flair (……undeniably extant, but to what end, exactly?).
He’d been patrolling with Soyala when Dagon’s message had gone out, and so, his lovely Mauvian friend came with him. Perched on his shoulder (in what had very quickly become Her Spot), she graced the park with her intellect and radiance, and if anyone disagreed, well…… It was a free universe. They were allowed to be wrong.
Seeing that Dagon had somebody with her (a pretty Moon Knight, from a quick glance-over), Muri limited himself to grinning, waving at her, and mouthing the words Hey, queen! Other than that, he didn’t want to interrupt if Dagon and her lady friend needed space or needed a quiet moment to finish getting ready for whatever was coming next. But other people would show up, and when they did, Murikabushi was on the lookout to size them up, see who all would be out here tonight, and so on and so forth.Quote: Muri is open for interactions! He also has Mauvian Soyala with him, currently in cat form, perched on his shoulder (please quote Song for talking to her 💖) Orangeish xx Sherbert Hi, Dagon's lady-friend! 💖

Haldane, Super Senshi of DoubtAnd here he was once again, volunteering himself to help people he didn't know, do something he had no idea about. If Bell knew she would no doubt be questioning his sense of self-preservation, amongst other things. As it was, Haldane arrived with a jaunty step, very orange cat coded. No visible thought behind those bright eyes and dopey smile. A brain eating bacteria would die in his noggin.

Sailor Bacchus, Senshi of Revelry Bacchus had no idea exactly what was going on when he felt the nagging pull for him to leave Earth once more. Not that he was complaining, it was always good to find new distractions wherever he could and leaving the planet was as good a distraction as any, though he hadn’t heard any word on this beforehand. It took several long moments before the heaviness of the place struck him. <********. <********. How in the ******** had he landed himself in another one of these godsforsaken midden heaps? Cold dread crept up from the pit of his stomach. Why would anyone willingly come to a place like this? The blue of another deep space senshi caught his attention. ********. This rootless hole was probably hers. ********. OK. Leaving wasn’t an option. He exhaled, head dropping as he frantically ran his hands through his hair. ******** spore shitting spider ********. Looked like he was staying. For better or most likely worse with whatever bullshit was going to happen here. Quote: Bacchus is open for interaction and would be happy to have a distraction.

Eternal Sailor Tempesti, Transcended Senshi of Harpies Dagon’s call had been unexpected, but it was only a matter of moments before Tempesti followed the pull off-planet and into the strange world in which she stood. An unfamiliar deep space senshi waited at the lip of a nearby fountain and the newly arrived senshi of harpies couldn’t help but wonder if they were here in aid of her planet. Not wanting to interrupt her conversation with the knight by her side, she scanned the other arrivals. She recognized Murikabushi immediately and offered him a wave before turning her attention to the less than ebullient Sailor Bacchus. Her friend was clearly not enjoying this new setting, and frankly the fact that he was still standing here was something of a surprise. A slight grimace of concern creased her face as she walked over before wordlessly gesturing for him to follow her back toward the group. She was fully aware that she lacked the ability to heal the wounds festering within him, but she knew that the deep space senshi needed noise. Interaction. Even if it was just a band-aid. One she was almost certain he’d attempt to strengthen with his less than healthy habits once he had the opportunity. Quote: Tempesti is open for interaction

Creedence"Huh, looks like we've got an eldritch mer-being, a lolita barbarian, a water bard? Another mer-being...a yellow...pile of fabric?" Creedence had started out trying to assign classes to those who'd answered the call to help and failed immediately. 'Well whatever, they look okay, I guess." Looking around, she decided, "I like the vibes. Are you ready to like, save the world? I hope you didn't eat right before this, 'cause you're probably gonna have to fight 'til you puke." The advice was directed at a senshi who had quite the vibes herself.

Super Grieve of The CollapseIt was time for another senshi world to strip out the chaos that clung to it. Time for the universe to return by a single speck. It'd be a whole world of a speck though. Glancing down at the golden coils of hair and glinting netting next to her, Grieve felt a certain otherness, beyond what every day on this world brought. The ones born here would never really understand, would they? The loss of all the worlds that had fallen. The great big ********' emptiness that stood in its place. But Dagon knew, and that stupid ******** Bacchus. There's probably be others, too, tonight, that could appreciate the bit they were clawing back from the void. "If there's riddles or any such bullshit, I'm leaving it to you."

She had actually avoided, as much as possible, being Alekto. It still felt dreamlike, which might have gone some way to explaining why she'd allowed herself to be bullied by the cat into making herself useful and not being a loser. And at first she had been excited. This was some wonderful secret - an entire world under her feet and at her fingertips her entire life, now suddenly made visible and insanely real - and by some miracle she was in on it. But things felt a bit different, now, and she considered how many dramatic DnD battles had resulted in her needing to roll a new character, and her palms were sweaty and she felt as though she might, in fact, puke without even fighting first. It'll be ok, she thought, as long as no one else dies. She wouldn't die first. She always died ignominiously second, hence the nickname. But neck deep in magic and danger she had never fully indulged before, she also couldn't sustain the optimistic lie that she'd be the final girl this time any more than any other time, and she was now considering that being a final girl in real life would ******** suck. Wasn't there like, survivor's guilt or something? "Do you need me to pick you up so you can see more than ankles?" She asked. It wasn't very nice, the way she said it, despite her best efforts.

"If you do that," said Joy, with a grim sort of cheer, "then we're both ********. I never could do a riddle in my life." She wondered whether it was possible to escape, if things went tits up. Possibly she could whisk herself off to the Garde. It would perhaps be better to work on the assumption that things would stay tits down, and this was an outlook that felt more comfortable as she saw how many were arriving. (She had said to Lyndin, once, that she wanted to save a world, but didnt see a way to do it even if it was the insignificance of a world for just one person. But she'd halfway gotten to saving that one, and she'd had help, but much less help than this. She might not know what Grieve was thinking - might have absolutely no way to conceive of the vastness of the cosmic loss to Chaos - but she was thinking, as she often did, of other little voids, and the ways in which she had clawed things back from them by way of willpower and stubbornness and, admittedly, help. She'd done a miracle. She'd been called a saint by one who ought to know. Surely a handful of them could do a miracle together, even if the miracle was an entirely different shape. It was a recurring issue with her that the problems of other people often seemed to her to be mere nuisances that they could fix if they tried harder. The fact that the problem was an entire world consumed by Chaos didn't change it much.)

EkstromEkstrom couldn't remember ever responding to a request for help with saving one's homeworld from chaos. It suddenly made her list priorities feel very small by comparison. She knew she shouldn't for a number of reasons, one of the main ones being that everyone had their own struggles and there was no sense in comparing because the various elements in peoples' lives were very rarely ever directly comparable, but it was hard not to. She took a breath and slowly blew it out as she approached the group that had gathered at the rally point thus far. Her nerves kept her on the outskirts, but she offered small smiles to both new and familiar faces as she scanned the crowd.

Deep Space Sailor Lovas of Fragility and Squire Regal of Chronos"My thing made a sound!"Regal should've known right then at that exact second, as he looked into wide and curious pastel lavender eyes, that there would be follow-up to anything he'd said. But he hadn't considered such a thing in the moment. He'd only thought that it would be appropriate to make sure Lovas could be as informed as possible, since... Well, who else was around to take on the task? So he'd explained it was a text; they'd come through periodically with messages from other Senshi. And since Lovas couldn't read (at all, Regal was pretty sure, but at minimum, he couldn't read any Earth text), Regal had given him the message's contents and admitted that he'd gotten something similar through his ring- which was a whole other matter of curiosity, and Regal would've loved to deflect fully to that, however... However. Lovas' attention was clearly and unwaveringly on the message from another Senshi From Space. Someone who had arrived as he did (just significantly less recently) and who had a problem not entirely dissimilar to his. And one that would hopefully have some resolution. Soon. Today. How was he supposed to do anything besides investigate? He wouldn't have minded going alone- he had successfully been alone for hundreds of years, and it hadn't killed him, but he was grateful for Regal's company, anyway. ...Despite the fact that Regal did not seem especially enthusiastic. "Are you sure you want to be here?" The Squire hedged doubtfully from where they stood at the age of the gathering. "You've only been here for a couple of days. You should rest. Or-" Or any other thousand things that could be done on Earth and not on Lovas. There was significant recovery, both mental and physical, that simply had not had time to occur, and Lovas should have at least some idea that they weren't going somewhere that would be gentle and pleasant with them... Not Regal's favorite scene for sure- Ugh. He should've begged Elias to come instead- Elias wouldn't have put up with half of Lovas' s**t that Regal would- but sending Elias just felt like it would get one of them into trouble, and at least this way, Regal could watch over Lovas... Sort of. It was just that Lovas was kind of an idiot, and Regal didn't trust his sense of urgency. Or preservation. Or instinct even. ...How was this man alive. But Lovas was smiling, fangs glinting in the gentle light of night. "Of course! You are the one who said I should try to have Earth 'experiences' while I'm here! And this is an experience, isn't it? I don't want to miss it." And he couldn't possibly miss seeing with his eyes how possible it might be to purge a world of an evil that had ensnared it for- well, however long Dagon's world had harbored Chaos. It wasn't like he had any frame of reference for how to do so successfully, when he'd been trying for a millennia... "This is literally not an 'Earth experience...'" Regal grumbled. But they were already here with everyone else; if he hadn't already convinced Lovas to turn back, there was no use expecting it to happen now. Quote: They are up for interaction! <3

Soyala, Guardian Cat
Soyala remained comfortably perched around her Senshi's shoulders, observing the growing group around them with interest and curiosity. More and more of them drew near, Senshi and Knights alike, a scattering of those born on Earth and their visitors from beyond the stars. And although she perhaps did not have the ability to claim credit for any of them, given that she had only been on this side of the war for a few months, she felt a certain pride nonetheless.
"It seems this will be well-attended," she said, pleased. And since they were going to space, she would be able to use her humanoid form; a small pleasure, but one she delighted in regardless.
A contented purr escaped her, and she nuzzled at Murikabushi's cheek.
"We will do well, and help your friend and her world. I am certain of it."Deep Space Super Sailor Madriu
It felt right, to Madriu, to attend this particular gathering. A fellow long survivor was requesting help in saving her world--one day, Madriu would ask for the same thing (he hoped, he longed for, he dreamed) and perhaps she would show up for him, but even if not, even if there was not a simple one-to-one exchange, it felt right to give the aid he would one day request from others.
Besides, Arcalis was with him--as long as they were together, nothing was insurmountable.
His tail swished with anticipation, ears flicking up and down, and he gave Arcalis a reckless smile.
"Well, I'm looking forward to this. What about you?"Deep Space Super Sailor Tianyi
Tianyi was not sure he wanted to be here. He was quiet as he approached, sliding up towards the back of the group--and though he saw the familiar shapes of Murikabushi and Soyala in the crowd, he did not approach them, not yet.
Mostly, he wanted to observe. To see what would happen in saving someone else's world. He would be expected to do it for his own, one day, after all--that seemed to be the trajectory. He would go back when he was strong enoguh, ask others to risk their lives for him, and hopefully destroy the rot and clear the skies.
Maybe it would be nice, to see the proper color instead of the eclipsed red that he had always known. (And maybe that world might feel like home, even if it never could be again.)Quote: tianyi is open for interaction <3

Deep Space Eternal Sailor Dagon HP: 94/100 Location: D4 -> D2 Action: Going for the basin! Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 9 = 19 DMG
Dagon took a breath, reaching over and squeezing Frigoris's hand for reassurance. There were so many here. Some familiar faces, some not. All of them got a welcoming smile as she stood.
"Hello," she said. "I am Sailor Dagon, and I thank you for coming to assist me. My planet is in dire straits, and I will need aid in order to save it."
She pulled out her Senshi phone with a flourish.
"The Chaos on my world has animated the bones of its former inhabitants; it puppets them with a strange fungus, and they are hostile. when we arrive, we will need to open the way to an ancient temple where I believe the heart of the Chaos resides. Finishing it will be my job, but I will need aid to prevent form being overwhelmed."
It was a simple declaration, perhaps deceptively so.
She let them be carried to her world, and they found themselves on a beach.
The beach was rocky and cold; a crumbling dock sat nearby, half sunken into the water. It was also foggy, though a thin, hanging fog, and in it, shapes moved.
The promised skeletons.
Some were vaguely humanoid, and they all had the general upright-four limbs-head shape of a human, but it was clear that they had been cobbled together from multiple parts. Some with inhuman heads. OThers with limbs more like tentacles than hands.
And they all turned their attention to the people who had arrived.
Among them stood three stone pillars, each with six sides and carved with various shapes--sea monsters, the anchor symbol on Dagon's brooch, nets, a dagger--and a basin, and around the basin glowed a bright shield.
"It seems we have another problem," Dagon said. "The pillars must be aligned, to lower the shield around the basin. I will then be able to raise the way forward."
Ugh. Dagon would have preferred a fight. But she darted forward, headed straight for the basin, although two skeletal creatures followed behind.
She frowned. Paused.
"Dreadful Aspect," she said, and the monsters were consumed by her magical fog, crumbling to the ground.Quote: Please refer to the next post for OOC mechanics! The next prompt will be posted at 6PM EST on Wednesday, November 19th!
