Destiny City’s Star Festival began a few years ago as a quiet gesture of the city to promote goodwill and positive change in the community. The city is currently celebrating it's 103rd birthday and everyone is invited to participate.

The Destiny City Star Festival is a time to promote goodwill towards each other and take pride in the city and all its communities. We all wish for a better world--so why not make that wish a reality?

The city has set up numerous events to promote a little bit of fun while pushing towards making the city a better place. The Town Square is buzzing with activity; the City has given out permits for stalls to sell wares, promote programs, or recruit volunteers for various citywide ventures. Colorful decorations hang not only on official buildings, but local stores and residential houses as well.

If you’ve ever wanted to help the city flourish--and make a little magic--now’s a good time to get involved!

This year we've prepared some RPs and prompts that everyone will be able to participate in! More information can be found in the RP Prompts and Events list in the next post! There is no raffle this year, but there are Individual Participation prizes, Mini-Games, and a Rehoming Concept Contest with several characters available! Roleplay opportunities and prize claims will be open from now until 11:59 PM PST on Sunday, July 10th.

While the majority of our events are designed to be playable by a wide variety of factions, we understand that not every group may have access to all plots.

Rules and Information

 • Prompts will take place around Destiny City and participation is completely optional! You do not have to participate in any of these RPs unless you want to, and you will not miss any meta opportunities by skipping it. However, participation is the only way to earn event related prizes!

 • Characters can participate as powered or civilian; these prompts are free to play with. You may choose to use the prompt as inspiration for a roleplay; it does not need to follow the prompt exactly but it must be clearly inspired by or related to it in some way!

 • If you are a new player who is interested in joining, please remember that you can get your first civilian character for free! Information can be found here! If you need help setting up a profile, you can PM The Space Cauldron and we'll be able to work with you!

 • Roleplay opportunities will only be open from now until 11:59 PM PST on Sunday, July 10th.

 • Mini-Games and Concept Contests will have rules unique to the game; please see those threads for their specific information!

RP Prompts and Events

Rewards can only be earned through Event Roleplays or Event Prompts, so you must be active in the shop if you are interested in participating in the raffle! Each ORP will have specific instructions, so please make sure to read the rules as you participate! The shop will be hosting both an ORP and prompts this year. Links to these threads will be kept in this post, and all prompts will be listed here as well! Mini games can be found below.

Please remember, there is no raffle this year; all rewards will be won through individual participation and task completion!

ORPs

ORPs will be publicly advertised before they begin and will typically be dice based and get updates approximately every 48 hours. ORPs typically last for around two weeks during the event. You can participate with as many characters as you like, but you will need to write 500 words for a character if you are using a roleplay as a growth requirement for them!

ORP Events:

Event ORP - Into the Night - Ended July 3rd

Prompts

All prompt responses must be posted in the Mini-Event subforum and can be written as a solo, a regular, or a battle (if applicable!). These should be labelled [Event-S], [Event-R], or [Event-B]. If you roleplay a disposable, these will not count towards any growth requirements for them, but if you are roleplaying with someone who has a disposable, it can still count for growth for your official character. More information on disposables can be found in the next post! To be eligible for any prizes, you must write at least five hundred words per prompt. You should include the prompt you are using in the first post of the RP or Solo. The roleplay does not have to be finished to count towards a prize (unless otherwise stated) but it will need to be finished before it can be used for growth requirements. While these events are written so that you only need a civilian to participate, you can play a powered character! In addition to a few new prompts for this year, we are recycling some prompts from previous years so characters who didn't get to participate before can experience them now!

Please remember--prompts are meant to be inspirations for your roleplays. You do not have to follow them completely, but the roleplay or solo should be obviously inspired by or related to the prompt you are using.

Recycled Prompts:

Quote:
The Wishing Tree (1): A Destiny City Star Festival Tradition to be held every year; In Town Square, there is a beautiful tree with spreading branches. It is tall, but the lowest branches are easily reached. The city has decorated the tree with small, starlike ornaments and glistening lights. Thick leaves and beautiful purple flowers dangle from the branches, along with a myriad of different colored papers with handwritten wishes. Next to the tree is a stack of blank paper with twine attached, and a handwritten sign that explains:

Write your wish on a sheet of paper and tie it to the tree. Take one wish off the tree and do your best to grant it. When you have granted the wish, bury the paper in the park.

The papers are biodegradable and filled with seeds. There are no rules for wishing, but you are encouraged to wish for something vague enough that it can be interpreted in many ways so that it can be granted; you do not write your name on it, but it is encouraged to write something that doesn’t wish for self gain, but rather something that can make the world a better place. Some wishes dangling from the tree already include things like “I wish there wasn’t so much litter in the park,” “I wish someone would clean the graffiti off the old historic buildings,” and “I wish there were more volunteers at the shelter.”

If you choose to use the Wishing Tree, what do you wish for? If your wish is private, you may write it on the paper and choose a spot in the park and bury it yourself instead of hanging it on the tree.

Quote:
The Wishing Tree (2) : Your wish is only said to come true if you grant the wish of someone else; when you write your wish, you must also take one off of the tree and do your best to grant it. What wish do you pull off, and how do you intend to ‘grant’ it? Do you work with someone else to grant this wish, or do you work alone? You may get approval from another player to use the wish their character hung up, but no names are attached so your character may not ever know who wrote it!

Quote:
The Meteor Shower (3) : It wouldn’t be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. This time of year is unnaturally clear and it’s incredibly easy to see the stars. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be a whole rainbow of colors. The scientists have reported that it’s just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there’s something undeniably magical about it.

Quote:
The Reservoir (4) : The Destiny City Reservoir opened about two years ago and is an easy escape from the big city. It’s a five minute drive outside of the Eastern side of town and features clear water and sandy beaches--although, the sand here is notorious for squeaking when you step on it. It’s a hot spot for all fun summer activities, but it’s been in the news for mysterious reports of some strange, aquatic monster. Some accounts say they’ve spotted a twenty foot long, snake like creature capable of rearing a long neck high above the water. It’s hard to tell if the videos are doctored, but there are too many rumors to dismiss easily. Something strange might be lurking deep in the water. Or it’s just a hoax to get people out to the Reservoir!

But…Sometimes, people feel like something is grabbing their ankle, even if they are just wading in the shallow end. In the deeper parts of the water, it gets a little more intense: something has been said to grab onto ankles and pull. People have been warned about dangerous pranks, but so far no one has been caught. In the shallow end, anyone unfortunate enough to be targeted may feel themselves being knocked off their feet and tugged into the water; anyone in deep water may feel a firm grip on their ankle, tugging them lower and lower. Somehow, anyone it targets is freed--either by wriggling and fighting, or because someone intervenes and pulls the would-be victim up. No one has drowned in the lake. Yet. It's impossible to see who, or what, is doing this, but it usually gives up after one failed attempt. Usually.

While you may find yourself harassed by the supposed cryptid, or see something visibly odd in the distance, you cannot take any pictures of the creature. Who knows if you’re even being attacked by the cryptid–or just another youma?

Quote:
The Caves (5) : To any explorers visiting the new Reservoir, they may find that just a bit away from the sandy water are a set of caves. Some of these connect back to the lake, but others rapidly plunge into darkness. It wouldn't be hard to get lost in here, but thankfully there are some very odd lights to help guide you out. If you turn off your light down some of these dark paths, you may find yourself surrounded by glowing pastel lights. A closer inspection reveals that you seem to be looking at some sort of glowing caterpillars. An internet search will reveal that Destiny City scientists have been researching the strange, unnamed creatures, but the articles are very limited. If you take them out of the cave they seem to shrivel up almost immediately. They’re neat, but clearly meant to be stay in their natural habitat.

Quote:
The Fireflies (6) : In the warm summer nights, little glowing lights begin to bob and dart through the city. Fireflies are mating, so this isn't uncommon in itself; in the past few days you've probably seen hundreds of fireflies. What makes these lights so unique is that they seem to change color; you might see a blue one, a green one, a red one. They flicker randomly, and something just seems off with them. If you come into contact with one, you will find yourself with a strange electric jolt. They cannot be caught, and will flicker away if you pursue too aggressively. This isn’t the first time they’ve appeared in Destiny City, but no one’s been able to tell where they came from or where they’re going. No matter how quickly you chase them, they always seem to disappear before you can find any answers.

Quote:
The Fairies (7) : The City has been lit up for the Star Festival with banners and twinkling decorations strewn off the windowsills of shop fronts and windows. The gardeners at one particular park have put their heart and soul into creating a fairy's paradise: Fairy lights have been carefully dangled from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels have been hidden among the hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with just a touch of glitter. The park is open to everyone and the citizens of Destiny City have been invited to respectfully explore the hidden wonders that have been placed throughout. The park is magical enough on its own but there have also been reports of a strange, ethereal and shimmering stranger in the park. The glimmer of a beautiful costumed figure fluttering through the park has been passed around as rumor, and no matter what anyone claims to see, no one can take a picture of it. As if simply seeing some magical figure isn’t mysterious enough, there are also reports of mischief and small pranks being played at the same time this figure seems to appear.

Quote:
The Scavenger Hunt (8 ) : Destiny City is hosting an annual scavenger hunt during the Star Festival to encourage people to get out and explore their city. The prize for turning in a completed scavenger hunt is a coupon booklet and a few free tickets to upcoming city events. Even if you aren’t interested in the prize, the scavenger hunt is specifically designed to take you through the city to showcase a few historic buildings, some art installations, and some of the city’s greatest accomplishments. While many of the places are familiar, during your explorations you come across a building you’ve never seen before--something that feels out of time. You’ve been in the area countless times before, so how did you miss this place? When you lay eyes on the building, you feel a strange timelessness and have the distinct sensation of being a part of something bigger. Briefly, you may see flashes of some distant past--a flickering memory that you can’t quite place or fully form. It’s hard to make out, but at some point in time you have the distinct impression of a faded figure taking your hand and telling you to do something. They sound hopeful and encouraging, like they really believe in you. By the time you blink, the visions are gone, the building is gone. The only thing that remains is a beautiful little garden and a plaque so faded that you can’t make out the inscription.

Quote:
The Charity Benefit (9) : A number of the local businesses in the area have come together to organize a charity benefit. In addition to a silent auction, there is also an evening charity ball. The community has been wanting to raise funds to fix up a few public areas for some time now and in the spirit of the Star Festival, these businesses have donated several prizes to the event to encourage people to attend. Some old warehouses and estates have been cleared out by the city, so there’s a wide variety of strange antiques and hidden treasures. As one of the local residents you have been kindly invited to attend! Formal attire is encouraged but only required if you plan to attend the Ball. It’s a good opportunity to dress up, meet new people, and maybe go home with something neat. Who knows what you can find to trade with Almadel, anyway? And, he’s always back in town for the Star Festival.

Players can roleplay any part of the Charity Benefit, including but not limited to mingling, dancing, enjoying the buffet, or leaving with a treasure they acquired There is no ORP set up for this but players can create group RPs if they like!

New Prompts:

Quote:
The Silent Firework (9) : Fireworks are aplenty this time of year, and there’s always something going off somewhere in the city. Little pops and noises are common, but something about this firework is completely abnormal–it makes absolutely no sound. Instead, light and color splashes across the night sky and leaves a lingering glow behind. No one knows where it came from, but it lit up the sky like a midnight sun, and was gone after about a moment. Anyone who managed to see it in person may find that when they blink, there is a residual glow before them. Strangely, it even seems like there’s a trail of faded, glowing light guiding them somewhere. Maybe you’re led to some special place, or some special person, or–maybe the trail ends before you ever find out where you were supposed to go.

Quote:
The Lantern Festival (10) : Scientists have been hard at work trying to understand the strange, glowing qualities of the luminescent caterpillars found in the caves by the reservoir. The caterpillars still shrivel up if they are taken out of the caves but their glowing secretions have been processed into an organic paste that can withstand the outside world. The city is selling paper lanterns infused with various seeds. The glow paste is full of minerals to support healthy plant growth without risking damage to the environment; all lantern purchases come with a small packet of activating power that will heat the paste up enough to mimic the effects of a candle without the concerns of flammability. When the glow paste loses its heat, the lantern will return to the Earth and upon the first rain (or any contact with water) the paper will dissolve and the seeds may begin to grow. All proceeds from the lanterns are put right back into the community to support local conservation and environmental protection efforts.

Quote:
Heatwaves (11) : An unfortunate dry spell has come over Destiny City, and a heat wave has made it all but unbearable. The heatwave is only projected to last for a week but it’s been rough. Plants are wilting, people are wilting. The city is experiencing blackouts, which isn’t helping. Thankfully, the reservoir is always open. Just, crowded. It might just be the worst part of the summer. People are passing out regularly, and the hospitals are getting too many admissions to keep up with. It’s probably just the heat and not anyone up to anything nefarious, right? Better stay hydrated and try to keep cool, and maybe avoid everyone in weird costumes, just in case.

Special Event Prompts:

Special Event Prompts will lead up to an associated ORP; while you can complete these prompts at any point in time during the span of the event, ICly they will all occur before the associated ORP, which will occur on July 3rd!

Quote:
Rifts (12) : Maybe it’s a trick of the eye. Maybe it’s a firework, or it’s too hot and you’re seeing things. Maybe something is actually just wrong. Strange tears are appearing throughout the city, as though something has clawed right through reality. Maybe you can’t exactly see it, but you definitely feel it. There are strange, cold pockets, and random air currents even in closed rooms. These strange rifts either appear transparent or, if you are close enough, you might see a strange blackness inside. Sometimes you can make out a strange sound, like a croak or a wail, but nothing ever comes out. There’s something magnetic about these weird rifts and it’s almost as if they’re trying to suck you up. They appear and disappear randomly, and quickly, and never show up on film.

Quote:
Misplaced (13) : Things are just vanishing. Maybe it’s the heat, or the chaos of the times, but even if you swear you put something somewhere, it might be gone. Maybe as quickly as you exit a room and return. Usually it’s only small things; sometimes you might hear a strange rattling just before something disappears, but once it’s gone, it’s gone. So far, it’s mostly things that aren’t too big, but recently there have been reports of cars just disappearing, too…

Quote:
Disappearances (14) : People are missing. Maybe they’re people you know, maybe you’ve just heard about it on the news. They’re just disappearing. In front of you one second, gone the next, sucked into some between-space. Into some hole that flickers out of sight once it’s swallowed them up. Maybe you got sucked in–right into a strange strange black expanse, with no access to anyone else or any exits. The pull would have been magnetic, almost unavoidable. Some might escape, but maybe you didn’t. Electronics don't work and characters cannot power down. There’s no way to reach the outside world. You might feel the sensation of creatures following you, you might run into obstacles or strange environments in the darkness. While you are in this strange location you may feel hungry but will not starve to death; you may feel tired but you will not need to sleep. Maybe you were lucky and got sucked in with someone. Maybe you’re trapped there and run into someone and team up. One thing is for sure, though–once you’re here, you can’t get out on your own. Characters who get sucked into the strange between-space will not be able to participate in the ORP immediately but will have an opportunity to join partway through so if this is something you’re interested in, please keep your eye on that! If you have questions on if something is permissible, you can PM The Space Cauldron to ask!)

Event Rewards

Completing Individual Participation Rewards and playing certain Mini-Games will yield prizes, either OOC growth items or IC RP Items.

LIMITED TIME IC RP ITEMS

These items will only be obtainable in this Event, and possibly other future Events! While you can win these as prizes, you can also purchase them for crown tokens from now until July 10th! For more information on purchasing IC RP Items, please see this post! Before the end of the event, the IC RP Item thread will be updated to include all new RP Items released in this event!

Quote:
Dazzling Bubbles - An iridescent, antique glass bottle with an ornate bubble wand fixed to the inside of the lid.
When uncapped and blown for the first time, an unnatural amount of bubbles of all sizes, from golf balls to basketballs, suddenly fill the air in a fifteen foot radius. They are surprisingly resilient and feel like cool glass; each of them are incredibly iridescent and reflect the light in a dazzling rainbow display that can hypnotize and daze. The bubbles may gently swirl around within the radius but they are difficult to pass through and feel like a firm barrier that prevents people from moving through them. Only blunt force or a sharp object can pop the bubbles, and they may sound like tinkling glass when they burst. They will naturally pop within one minute and all debris will disappear. The magic fades after the first use of the bubbles and all remaining liquid will simply produce beautiful, iridescent bubbles but the pretty glass bottle can be kept as a memento!

Quote:
Magical Soda - A colorful vintage glass soda bottle you remember from your childhood.
Maybe, once upon a time, you tried to locate and identify one of your favorite flavored sodas you remembered as a kid–only, you couldn’t find any information on it. And yet, you’ve found it restocked, just like how you remembered. It tastes just like how you remembered, too. Stress and hardship melt away and the nostalgia is strong enough to take you back to your childhood memories. You have more energy–too much, maybe. You're faster. Your metabolism is wild. You forget your worries and suddenly everything seems like so much fun. You remember old friends and old favorites, and possibly even some things you’ve forgotten. Maybe there’s a little bit of a blur in just how far back the past is–but everything seems like it’s basked in a safe, golden glow. The magic fades after two hours but the pretty glass bottle can be kept as a memento!

PERMANENT ACCESSORIES

These are a special type of IC RP Item that do not expire upon use! A player will be able to win these in events or purchase them for 3 Crown Tokens! These are a permanent addition to the shop! Each character can only earn one of each item, and items are non transferable from character to character or player to player. There is no limit to how many a player can acquire, so long as they have enough characters to give them to! These items may be owned by civilians, but not all of the items may be usable by civilians. If you have questions about how a civilian may use one of the below items, please contact The Space Cauldron before purchasing one for them so we can answer any questions!

Quote:
Soothing Bell - A small, round bell with a tiny metal charm dangling from it.
The bell can be rung once per day and for one full hour the ringer will be overtaken by the sensation of a serene peace and will find that all of their worries seem to be gone and they are incredibly clear headed. If a powered character uses this item while in their respective place of power they will receive additional benefits; A Senshi or Knight using this on their Homeworld or Wonder they will find that restoration significantly improves while using the bell (allowing restoration akin to two visits), Negaverse characters will find that the Rift is easier to navigate and youma are more agreeable (and may even lose significant interest in Corrupted Senshi), Mirrorspace is easier to navigate and Mirrorscape Realms may flourish a bit more. Mauvians may have more past life memories while on their Bonded Senshi’s worlds and may also improve restoration somewhat, and Vanguardians may find that their Source Stones seem to naturally replenish energy and can provide a greater output towards their projects.

Quote:
Fractured Crystal - A palm-sized crystal shard with dark clouds and a black tar that swirls inside of it; it has faint cracks along its surface.
A fragment of the crystal from within the strange pocket dimension during the 2022 Star Festival. The user must hold the Fractured Crystal in the palm of their hand and slash through the air. Once per day they can tear a rift in space and pass through it to another location. While you may pass through immediately to your destination of choice (on the same plane of existence) you may also get trapped in a strange, dark dimension. This between-space is full of an oppressive air and a dark, sticky tar like substance covers all surfaces. There seem to be untapped amounts of energy here, and characters that drain energy may find this a surprising advantage while gathering energy. Time seems to pass strangely in this weird dimension and while you may feel like you’re here for up to two hours at a time, you may actually be gone anywhere from a few minutes up to an hour. If you are sucked into the strange portal, you will always be deposited at your location of choice afterwards. In rare situations, up to one other person may be sucked into the strange space as well as the wielder, but they will both be stuck in the between space and will feel significantly drained by the time they come out the other side.

ENHANCEMENTS

Enhancements function as unique character boosts. There are several different types of enhancements, though some will only work for specific factions. Enhancements are somewhat rare but are designed to be special abilities for your character and can be customized on a character by character basis. They are available in events, quest fairies and player rewards, and for purchase for 3 Crown Tokens. While a single character may have multiple enhancements, there is an IC cooldown of one month between when they can obtain the enhancements. Once you win or purchase an enhancement you must discuss with staff how you would like to use it. A character can have multiple enhancements, but can only have one type of each faction applicable enhancements. A character may have two different passive abilities, however--one accessible in civilian form and one accessible in powered form; they can have the same passive ability in both form but it will need to be acquired twice.

Enhancements can be ICly found or acquired in a number of ways, but may be found most commonly in a powered realm (such as on a homeworld, in Mirror Space, or in Negaspace) either by reaching a previously locked area, touching a magical artifact, completing a ritual, or some other magical way. The staff can work with players on how their character ICly gains the enhancement, but players are encouraged to share their ideas when they send in a PM for approval.

Current enhancements can be found here. New enhancements include:

Quote:
Mauvian Claws (Mauvian) - While Mauvian claws alone are generally stronger than cat claws, this enhancement gives them a little extra to fight with. All Mauvians who have unlocked this will get a small magical effect that activates when their claws come in contact with a target; the effects can last for ten seconds if the Mauvian is in their natural form or fifteen seconds if the Mauvian is in their humanoid or Senshi form. They cannot use this enhancement if they are in a civilian glamour. This ability activates after every scratch and has no max number of uses per battle. Magic must be sent to the shop mule for approval before it can be used but should typically have a modest effect that lingers, such as the scratched skin feeling frozen, burned, numbed, itchy, etc. The effects should fade after the duration expires unless the player wants to take extended damage from it. Each Mauvian should only have one magical effect; they should not have rotating effects, but a revision may be possible if they need to change effects.

Mauvian Claws were originally suggested by Meighei and have been released as an Enhancement for the shop thanks to them!

Individual Participation Rewards

Sometimes luck isn’t on anyone’s side; this prize rewards participation without any competitive nature! For every five roleplays or solos that reach 500 words, a player can claim one Growth Item or one IC RP item from our regular pool of one time use IC Items, from our current Limited Edition IC RP Item Pool, or any item from a previous Limited Edition IC RP Item Pool (with the exception of any items that were given out as special/exclusive rewards in certain RPs). You cannot claim an IC RP Item or any Item that was winnable in a player run event, however you have access to any IC RP Item given out in a similar staff run event.

You can claim up to three rewards through this method! If you participate in ten roleplays or solos that reach 500 words, you will have the option to claim one permanent accessory or enhancement in place of one Growth Item/IC RP Item! For example, if you do fifteen roleplays or solos, you might claim two one time use IC RP Items and one permanent accessory, or you could claim three growth items, or one growth item, one enhancement, and one IC RP Item. You can mix and match what you would like to claim as long as you have the RPs to support it!

These roleplays or solos can come from ORPs, prompts, or mini games; you can repeat prompts to count for this! Additionally, any roleplays that are started as of the event opening and the event end but do not utilize a prompt may also be counted towards Individual Participation Prize rewards! This means that any roleplay you are doing that does not have anything to do with the Star Festival can also be used towards the Individual Participation Prize--you simply need to meet the same requirements and link to the RP when you claim!

RPs do not have to be finished before the event ends, but we will be keeping our eyes on roleplays to make sure they are moving forward; we want to reward players for their activity, but if roleplays are being started and only played to word count without actually finishing, this will negatively impact how we choose to release more permanent accessories to the shop. Please try to finish all of the roleplays you start!

To claim these rewards (growth items, one time use items or permanent accessories) you will need to use the following form and post in this thread:

I would like to turn in (#) roleplays for a reward!
link
Trading for: (What are you claiming? If you are claiming for an RP Item but don't know which one yet, just say 'IC RP Item/Enhancement/Permanent RP Item' ; you can PM the mule to claim your item if you need more time)

Please also remember to edit your claim into your Growth Item Log or your IC RP Item Log log!

You cannot gift this item to anyone else! This is for you, and you alone!

Additionally, players will also be able to claim one new civilian character, regardless of character cap, upon finishing any five roleplays during the event period. This is an additional reward towards turning in your first five roleplays; you can still claim an IC RP Item as well. Players claiming a free, unarted civilian will still need to have the character stamped before they come into play; if the character was previously stamped, please make sure the surname is still valid! These characters can only be human and cannot become Vanguardians or Deep Space Senshi; players can get these civilians regardless of their current Character Cap. We will also be updating our Character Cap Rules at the end of the event to allow more flexibility for players to claim unpowered civilians. More information will be available about this with our next shop update! You can only earn one unarted civilian character during the course of this event, so if you send in Player Appreciation Message as well, you cannot earn a second one.

You will have up until 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, July 10th to claim for Individual Participation Prizes! Roleplays must be started between now and then but. They do not need to be finished to count towards Individual Participation Prizes, but they must have at least 500 words posted for you to claim them. Any roleplay started until the deadline can be used to earn Individual Participation Prizes; they do not have to be based on Event prompts.

Star Charms

In order to commemorate Destiny City's Star Festival, Destiny City has been handing out Free Star Charms! ICly these are being distributed from participating businesses and vendor stalls, from volunteers at historical landmarks, and during local events. Your character may also be ICly given one or find them while out and about. OOCly, your character may obtain one star charm for each roleplay/solo they participate in where you write at least 500 words for them; while you do not have to have your character receiving or finding one of these charms on screen in the roleplay, the roleplay you are using to claim the charm should mention the charm at least once. There is no limit to how many charms a player or character may obtain, but each character can only obtain one per roleplay. ICly these are collectible and OOCly they can be kept as souvenirs in character journals; they do not have any known magical properties. You can claim a star charm for your character and later give it away to another character.

There are charms in seven colors for character to collect!
