Axinite had a bad habit of not sleeping enough, but an aversion to sleeping medication meant that on nights where nerves were high and nightmares imminent, he worked.

He worked constantly.

He’d been at this for a week straight, now, diligently going through the file on each and every Negaverse Agent. He went through the ones with flags, the ones without. The ones who weren’t meeting quota, the ones who hadn’t checked in, the ones who had been reported missing--or seemed to have just disappeared altogether.

He knew desertion was a risk. He knew death was a risk. Everyone did.

It didn’t mean that it didn’t hurt to find out that an agent he’d spent so much time with was missing.

He knew what ‘missing’ meant.

She’d nearly defected once, but they’d gotten over that. She was doing better. She had a Captain, Lieutenants.

And now, she and a Captain were missing, and it was by pure fluke that he was even made aware that her Lieutenant hadn’t seen her.

Panic set in and Axinite had frantically searched.

Searched, for nothing. There were so many names, so many agents, who looked like they’d fallen through the cracks.

He blamed himself. If the Information branch was failing, it was on him. He had a list of agents he needed to check in on, but he was only human and could only do so much at once.

So, he was here, asking for help.

He’d sent out a message on the tablets requesting that available agents meet him here. He was desperate, it seemed; the invitation was open to agents, senshi, and guardian cats. He had offered to summon anyone who couldn’t teleport themselves here to the meeting room in the Castle. The invitation was simple--he needed a team to go into the Rift for something of a rescue mission. Details were promised upon arrival.

Along the wall were two great tables, spread with baked goods, drinks, and snacks. Axinite didn’t seem to know what to do with himself if he wasn’t providing supplies, or baking away his stress, or working sixteen hours days. It was as much of a bribe as he could manage, and truthfully he didn’t know how long this trip would be. It’s not like they needed rations, but he’d prepared little snack packs anyway.

He waited patiently, standing at the front of the room and checking his tablet as the volunteers began to arrive.

Quote:
Axinite has sent out a request for assistance to all members of the Negaverse! Any powered Negaverse character is invited to join, including Negaverse Agents, Corrupted Senshi, Ascended Senshi, Chaos Mauvians, Half-Youma and PC Youma. This event will OOCly last for three weeks and will ICly last the span of one night. All participating characters will get a debriefing in this roleplay, which will last roughly one week, and will then lead into an exploration and battle ORP within the Rift. Players do not need to participate in this debriefing RP to join in the exploration. Characters may arrive and address Axinite or each other. Axinite will have one general announcement post about the mission within 48 hours and will be open for questions afterwards.

This event will conclude with the group finding Lieutenant Feldspar, who has been rehomed and can be won in a concept contest! Please see the contest thread for full information!

Additionally, If anyone plays a Negaverse character and would like to schedule a check up, please contact The Space Cauldron if you would like Axinite to drop in or meet with them! He has been rattled recently and is going out of his way to check in on at-risk agents, including those that are not meeting quota, that have not been checking in with superior officers, authority figures who have not been keeping up with their wards, agents who have been hospitalized, or agents who generally have not seemed themselves or have been distant. If you would like a roleplay with him, please write a bit about what your character has been up to, where they can be found, if there are any reports on their behavior/who might have commented or shared information about them, any special requests you might have for the roleplay, and if you would like civilian or powered roleplay; Axinite is available for either!

Corrupted Sailor Taenite

The response to Axinite’s summons on the tablet was ‘Count me in, boss’ which also meant Axinite had to teleport Corrupted Senshi Taenite to the meeting room.

Taenite had done his research since being recruited into the Negaverse. He’d memorized as much of the provided information as he could, and asked questions when he wanted clarification. The Rift was a dangerous place, and one he definitely shouldn’t go unaccompanied.

Which was why he was so eager to sign up.

Had there been no one else around, he might have lowered himself into a bow in Axinite’s presence, but seeing as there were others, he opted instead to peruse the table of cookies.

“Are you ever not baking?” he couldn’t help but ask Axinite as he grabbed a few to shove into his mouth. He didn’t expect an answer at the moment, but he fully intended to get an answer later.

General Jet

Any summon from a General-King, especially the General-King that he specifically reported to, was immediately responded to by Jet. Well, after telling Aquamarine his plans, since he’d promised to keep him informed of any dangerous mission he was going to be involved in.

This, he’d told him, would be like a trial run for their trip into the Rift early next month, once they’d prepared as best they could.

He didn’t have anything to say once he arrived, but stood ready to take orders.

Captain Bloodstone

Bloodstone often didn’t have time to assist in rescue missions, much less rescue missions in the Rift. It hadn’t been too long since he’d been promoted and with the lack of suitable opponents wandering the streets of the city, he thought he might have better luck testing out his new weapon while in the Rift.

Teleporting made things infinitely easier, so he could only imagine what could be gained as a General.

He didn’t expect anyone to bother talking to him, since he had a rather unfortunate angry resting face, but he also didn’t really want to talk to anyone else either. He would be there to assist in the mission and then go on his way.

Captain Chambersite

It had been a while since there had been any such announcements or communication from a General-King, so when he had received the message, Chambersite made sure that he would be available to go and help out in whatever way possible. He figured that it would be a good idea to see who was new and who wasn't and who was still willing to stick around and come to such a meeting. After all, he knew there had been changes. Whether it was Agents missing, purifying, taking a break, or just plain being killed somehow it would be good to see who was still active.

From what he could tell when he entered the room and saw the General-King, there were a few Agents that he had seen recently in the fog monster attack world/reality/whatever it was. Not a surprise. But good to know that they were still kicking about.

He moved over to one of the tables though, silently judging the food. It was good from what he could tell, and he appreciated that they would be fed here. Some of the food items he would have to ask the General-King about later to get his recipes, if he was willing to part with them.

-------------------------------------------------------

Super Corrupt Versailles
Versailles had been intrigued when he had received the message. He wondered what a General-King would need their help with. Most of the time they seemed to be off in their own little world with their own secrets that they refused to let those beneath them even hear a whiff about. So the fact that they were invited to... whatever this was by a General-King had piqued his interest.

He had arrived easily, and could tell that he was one of the first few to arrive. Not that it mattered. He was sure that soon enough the place would be entirely filled, with barely any room to move. At least the Negaverse seemed to be willing to work together more than any of the Order that he had seen.

He decided to wait a bit, not wanting to be the first to take food from the tables, but he was quite interested in the baked goods that were being offered to the Agents.

-------------------------------------------------------

General Arsenopyrite
Arseno moved a gloved hand to cover up the yawn that was coming out of his mouth. He had to say he had been surprised at the message that had been sent to his tablet. It had been... how long now? At least a year since he had really powered up and had anything to do with the Negaverse. He was still an Agent, but Medical school ate up most of his time and he had barely had any time to think let alone work on draining or teaching new recruits on what was what in the Negaverse.

Since it had been a message from a General-King however, he felt that he couldn't decline. He only just managed to get a few hours of sleep before he had gone, and he was still feeling the effects of not having a good nights sleep when he entered, only grabbing what he thought was a caffeinated drink off of the table and drinking half of it, hoping that he would become awake enough to be able to understand what this meeting was about.

General Aquamarine

Aquamarine stood by Jet and concealed a yawn behind one of his hands, letting his shoulders slump and his eyes look a bit hooded so he appeared more tired than bored.

He was both, but when there was a rescue mission to be done, advertising his boredom to the one who summoned them for the mission in question didn’t seem like a brilliant idea. Aquamarine made every effort to seem like a dutiful agent to his superiors even if he was only ever dutiful for Jet’s sake.

Aquamarine couldn’t say he was particularly interested in the mission itself, but Jet was right: it would be a good opportunity for them to head into the Rift with a larger force before they went in on their own

For now, he stood and waited for the meeting to begin, occasionally eying the food and drinks and the agents who chose to partake in them to determine if there might be any ill effects. Aquamarine never really trusted food down here. What if it was laced with something to ensure they remained good little soldiers of Chaos?

Perhaps that wasn't such a bad idea, what with the turnover rate being what it was.

--------------------

Lieutenant Carnallite

Being a new Lieutenant, Carnallite made sure to observe her surroundings and the people who inhabited them.

Being the composed and distant sort, she did so without a trace of curiosity or interest on her face or in her eyes, glancing around the meeting room with an expression that might seem bored or uncaring to anyone who did not know her (which was almost everyone in the room), but what was actually just her normal resting expression.

She was new to the Negaverse by a matter of days, drawn in by Bloodstone, who thought the organization might be of interest to her. Carnallite (and that name would take some getting used to, being as new as her position here) could not say she was particularly invested in what happened here, but she looked forward to potentially seeing the Rift and watching her allies in action.

So far, there was little to be impressed about.

But then she was a difficult person to impress to begin with.

Corrupt Super Fafnir

The dark haired corrupt arrived suddenly, using his limited power to teleport to bring him into Negaspace following the summons. It was unusual, receiving summons from one of the General Sovereigns. More often, it was a General with a mission of some sort. Fafnir came, promptly and without argument, but curiosity nipped at him.

They were going to be sent into the rift, that was about all he knew. Would General King Axinite pick a team to send in, or would he be sending multiple? As a senshi, he would likely be paired with a regular officer. Since distancing himself from his former General, he wasn't quite sure who he'd end up with. His lack of team was starting to be an issue and today, as he stood alone in the crowd, made him think perhaps he should be more proactive about finding one.

Arms crossed over his chest and stance loose, the corrupt studied the others as they arrived, trying to put names to faces.

Captain Sylvite

Of course Sylvite responded to Axinite's summons. This was her branch and her General-King, and if her support was needed, she was totally going to be there. She'd stopped by the barracks to make sure that Cybele was coming, too.

She had to admit, it was pretty fun to walk into the room with an intimidating Corrupt Eternal on her heels. Like, yeah, she is my friend and only on our side because of me, thanks for asking.

Nobody was asking, or even paying that much attention with more important matters at hand, but it was still a nice thought. It seemed like people were still trickling in anyway, so Sylvite took the opportunity to head over to the snack table.

Sylvite did like snacks, and this stuff was fresh baked by the looks of it. She stuffed a cookie in her mouth and grabbed a few more for the road without any hesitation at all. If they were going on some kind of dangerous mission, she was gonna need her strength.

---

Corrupt Eternal Cybele

Cybele hadn't needed much encouragement to convince her to respond to the invitation. She was the Senshi of the Hunt. She would almost certainly be of some use when it came to searching for a missing person, and she was also a soldier. She was confident she could adapt to whatever the mission ended up entailing.

And she wasn't so worried about death or injury, either.

Sylvite had stopped by her room, just to make sure that she was coming, and Cybele had followed the girl all the way to the meeting room while she chattered away. Eventually, she made her way over to the snack table, but Cybele did not immediately follow her there.

Instead, she scanned the room, taking a long look at each agent's face in turn. It was a strange feeling when she realized that she recognized someone. He was also staring rather intently at the food, and Cybele moved in that direction, stopping beside him with a half-smile and just a hint of mischief in her eyes.

"I doubt it's poisoned, you know," she said to Versailles. "That would be a bit counter productive."

Arriving on his own, Katya was out at the time of the summons, the petite general was quick to look over those gathered. Most of them he'd at least seen once or twice, but he didn't actually know them. His eyes did however land on a certain plague doctor like general. "Arseno..." One of his own. Smiling as he approached the taller general he eyed the drink in the others hand. "Not enough sleep?" He knew the other was busy, and had been for a while now, with medical school. It was why he never harped on the other for shirking some of his duties as a general. Medical school was important and it could also benefit the Negaverse in other ways.

"It's good to see you." Greeting him properly as he looked up at the other. "You're doing well I hope?" He questioned, wanting to catch up since they were both here. They would, in time, find out what was going on and get down to work. He would, until then, catch up with those he knew as they arrived and speak to those who were already here that he knew. It was rare he saw some of his fellow officers and he would take advantage of it.

Corrupt Super Versailles
Versailles had just grabbed what appeared to be non-sweet themed pastry when he heard a familiar voice beside him. He couldn't help but smile. "True, it would be counter productive, but sometimes I can't help but wonder." He replied turning to the Eternal. "It's nice to see you again Cybele, have you you been well?" They had met when the bunnies were still around, however it had been about a month and a half since then, maybe a bit more, and he himself had gotten busy with school once again, which hadn't given him much time to catch up with his fellow agents.

"I'm glad to see a familiar face around here." He said, taking a quick look around. He knew that he had seen some of them before, but whether he had actually talked and gotten to know them was a different story.

General Arsenopyrite
It took a moment for his brain to catch up that first, someone was speaking to him, second that they had a familiar face and voice, and third that a question was being asked. It took another moment for him to finally get a brainwave connection that allowed him to recognize the smaller figure in front of him. "Beni. Yeah uh..." He took a pause, trying to remember if he had a drink in his hand. It appeared that he did. "Unfortunately not. I thought I might be able to get through medical school a bit easier than others, but that was wishful thinking on my end."

He turned to fully face the other, his eyes half-closed as he tried to keep them open. Would energy be able to help? Not that he wanted to get addicted to the darn stuff, but if it was better than a caffeine he might just have to try it.

"It's good to see you too. It's been... a while." He couldn't remember how long. "As well as I can be going to medical school. And Stacey is keeping down the apartment at the same time. Jason is in college now..." He was rambling, and after a bit recognized that he needed to stop. "What about you Beni? You good? Anything exciting happen?" He could have sworn he felt his eyes blink one at a time.

General Painite was not sure why she showed up. Maybe it was because she had some idle sense of duty to some of these people. Or maybe she thought she could help someone, out of a misguided idea that she was still trying to make up for her monstrous past. Or maybe she just wanted to keep the idiot beside her out of danger.

Whatever the case, she found herself standing in the same area as many other Negaverse soldiers, many of whom she did not recognize. She was tense, scowling, but at least she was there. Sighing, her gaze shifted to the idiot beside her, watching as the young man looked like he was straining at the leash and ready to explode.

Lieutenant Ekanite had never been to a gathering before, and had never seen so many of his fellow Negaverse soldiers in one place before. He wanted to run around and just say hi to everyone, shaking hands and making friends, but he knew this occasion did not call for that kind of frivolous attitude. No, he had to be serious, wanting with his very honest and innocent heart to be of some sort of help to the General King.

Not to prove himself, but to pay it forward for the way the Negaverse saved him.

Having arrived with his general, but not interested in actually associating with her, Captain Crocoite moved away from Painite and her over excited newbie. Instead, he let his personal youm, Novus, follow him around. The big dinosaur might do well to discourage others from talking to him, which he was just fine with. Or he might wander off, as Crocoite had not quite gotten the handle of controlling him just yet, but he was hoping against that.

(despite crocoite's attitude, any of my guys are available for interaction)

Gismondine had been both excited and worried when Axinite had sent the invitation to come help him with something. A...a mission. It was...kind of neat. LIke he was a secret agent or something...or someone that mattered.

He had invited Xander over to spend the night, and told Q that he would be spending the night at Xanders...so it was kind of a toss up of if they would be found or not, and the two of them had powered up, and were now in some kind of a fancy castle.

And there were snacks.

The lieutenant tugged the hand of the corrupt senshi and pointed. “Hey! Taiyang~ There’s snacks!” They were here for a mission...but if they were going to be given this gift...he wasn’t going to waste it. He gave Axinite a little wave and a shy smile before grabbing a few cookies from one of the tables and taking a bite out of it. “...What kind of a mission do you think this will be? I’m...nervous.”

But very excited. Though...there were quite a few people here but…

Parasite wasn’t among them.

...That was a little sad.

“Oh man, good snacks too!” Sailor Taiyangshu replied with a delighted grin. Strange place this was. Some sort of castle with more faces than he was expecting. The variety of people and uniforms was enough to make his head spin, or at least nearly. After talking cats it was hard to say anything was that shocking...
At least so far.

He gave Axenite a deferential nod, the sort he might have given to his Mother but with more of a nervous smile and squeezed Gizmondine’s hand.

“Hey, we’re in this together now, it’s going to be okay.” He gave a small nod of reassurance.
“They have snacks, how bad could this be?”

Corrupt Sailor Lameia

One good thing about having a cousin in the Negaverse with her, at least, was when she got the notice on her tablet about an open call for potential participants in a details coming mission... well. She was able to ring up her dearest cousin and demand transportation into Negaspace for the meeting.

Yes, demand, because ever since finding out her bitchy older relative had the blasted luck of becoming a half-youma--the thing Felicity had wanted when she'd willingly enlisted into the Negaverse... only to find out she was a senshi instead...--the fact that Lucretia outranked her meant squat to the younger heiress.

Besides, with bribes of veggie burgers from Lucretia's fave restaurant, and bags of clothes from some of her fave boutiques, it was easy to make deals both prideful ladies could come to terms with for the taxi service.

Carnotite had brought Lameia a tad earlier so the latter could invade a certain snake's domain for a bit before the meeting. Whom she now wrapped her hands around his upper arm, leaning into his side once they were in. She eyed the table of snacks with a hum of approval. "Oh, that's cute. I wasn't expecting catering for this." She looked up at Nagyagite, gaze inquisitive. "Have you been into the Rift? I haven't seen the place yet, but heard it's none too welcoming for senshi." Which sucked, since apparently that's where all the youma were. Which didn't like her. Because she was a senshi. Ugh.

Noir Songbird

-----

Captain Carnotite

If Lameia heard the small snort of laughter from somewhat behind her, she didn't make any sort of reaction towards it. But then, Carnotite couldn't entirely see if perhaps her younger cousin's eye twitched slightly.

"It's rather beautiful. Such a shame you can't visit more," she cooed as she passed the two, this time very much catching the side-long glare from the corrupted senshi. The half-youma flipped a tendril of her hair over her shoulder, a tendril of electricity lacing through the locks harmlessly. She kept her floating electrical orbs above her head small to reduce the light they emitted--she could have just let them dissipate entirely, wasn't like anyone could miss what she was with her glimmering golden hands and the three glowing eyes on her face. But she liked having her little 'crown' floating around her head. Her own personal spot lights.

She snatched up a few light treats from the table before she searched for a spot to stand and wait for the meeting to begin. Moment she'd gotten the notification, she knew she'd be attending--an invite to into the Rift was something she especially never turned down. The realm of dark stone and purple crystal fascinated her too much.

The double-layer of vision didn't bother her so much for the moment, allowing her third eye to remain open and bright. Though, for the actual meeting, she'd likely have to close it. Shut out the vision of electrical signatures all around.

Her gaze did snap to something rather out of the ordinary, though, and she quirked a pale brow, heels clicking slightly on the ground as she approached a youma within their midsts (Novus)--something that just delighted her when they made their presence known. Glowing, nearly pupil-less eyes flickered between the large reptilian and the other Captain (Crocoite) he seemed to follow. She kept a respectful distance as she smiled prettily to the man. "Not sure if the pastries here will suite either of your tastes, but the mission at least should be right up his one's alley," she grinned, nodding her head to Novus. It'd be right at home, after all, back in the Rift.

Crocoite sighed, thinking his plan to hide behind a dinosaur was not as fool proof as he might have hoped. The dinosaur turned his head when he heard someone talking to his captain, as attentive as a dog, if not quite as smart. His attention was immediately drawn by the strange look she had, and he whined, looking at Crocoite for permission to investigate further.

"Go on," the man sighed, in his generally put upon style.

Novus scooted closer to Carnotite, lowering his head and walking on his hands and feet so he looked a little less intimidating as he sniffed at her curiously.

"Pretty," the youma informed the half youma sweetly, wagging his big tail behind him and not bothering to see if he was taking out other officers with his exuberance.

"Forgive him, he lacks tact or any kind of social grace," Crocoite said, coming up beside the youma and patting it on the shoulder. "I do think he will eat literally everything at this gathering, though, so I am not sure I'll let him near the pastries or snacks."

"Novus," the dinosaur informed, interrupting Crocoite's swagger and pointing to himself with a big, toothy grin.
