Eoana's port and harbour in the city is extremely important as it is where most ships arrive and dock at the island for both transport and trade. It is where people coming to the island first arrive and where passage to other kingdoms and islands can be secured, thus making it quite the crowded and bustling location.

A Strange Passenger

User Image

Profile

Like on any other day, a tall ship from Valor pulled into Eoana Harbor to unload its cargo and restock for its next voyage. The one difference today was this ship was carrying a very peculiar passenger. What made this passenger so peculiar was her appearance.

Upon the top of her head, she had two cat-like ears, tufted with fur. Now, having the ears of animal was not necessarily unusual in a world where humans could use magical powers known as Raiments to transform into various creatures. What made them odd was what accompanied them. Out from underneath this passenger's skirt protruded a tail--not one like a cat's, but rather like a monkey's. Covered in shaggy fur, the tail was quite thick at its base but gradually tapered over its three feet, ending in a small leather patch at its tip. It curled back and forth, curiously dexterous and limber.

This strange passenger now stood at bow of the vessel, her tail wrapped around a railing, as she gazed up in awe at the city stretching up onto the mountainous side of the island. From crosssing the jungles of Mistun, then an enormous lake, and then the kingdom known as Valor, and finally the ocean itself, it had been quite the journey to get here. She had seen so many new and amazing things and learned quite a bit on her travels, but now she had almost reached her destination. Not even the day's warm sun could make her sleepy now. There lay but one final task in her journey: reaching the Grand Academy of Eoana!

As the gangway was laid down to reach the pier, the strange passenger crept along it as though it were a tightrope, holding her arms out to her side for balance; this seemed wholly unnecessary with the railings in place on either side, but it seemed to strike her fancy nonetheless. Bobbing along behind her, curled in her prehensile tail, was a cloth sack that contained all her worldly belongings.

As she reached the end of the gangway she did a little jump to the pier and exclaimed to no one in particular, โ€œI finally made it!โ€ Her words were then promptly accompanied by a loud grumble from her tummy. It had been hours since her last meal, if you could even call it that. What she had been served on the ship she wouldnโ€™t necessarily consider food; it had nourished her body and gotten her through the trip, but she was pretty sure she'd probably lost some weight. Now, what she really wanted was some fresh fruit! The glorious figs they would grow back in her home village seemed but a distant memory by now. If only she could find something to re-create that taste!

So it was decided: have her first meal, then, find her way to the academy. Since her maps were only detailed enough to get her to the island, she wasn't quite sure how to reach the school. She looked for some obvious sign of it from the ship, but all the buildings looked pretty much the same to her. She hoped a local would be able point her in the right direction, but then again she wasn't quite sure who to ask. It would be easier to think once her belly was full, but alas the last of the small amount of money her tribe was able to provide her had been used to buy passage on the ship. It occurred to her she might have to find a more creative way to feed herself.

[ - Enter Emma to the Docks for New Day - ]

It was by chance that Emma had arrived at the harbor as a tall, proud sailing ship began to unload at the docks. Sheโ€™d just finished purchasing some fresh fish from Kuro the fishmonger when sheโ€™d seen the gangplank being lowered. Gazing upon the vessel, she couldnโ€™t help but be reminded of the day that she had arrived in Eoana, so many months ago. Smiling lightly, she watched as sailors and passengers alike began to disembark. Many looked relieved to have arrived after the extended voyage, others looked downright green from being on a ship for so long. Emma didnโ€™t envy them, her stomach didnโ€™t agree with long voyages either.

As she turned to walk back into the market district, a peculiar figure caught her eye. Arching a brow, curious, Emma watched as a young, female shifter walked down the gangplank, a small cloth sack on her back. The girl was drawing several curious glances as she walked along, gazing around her with curiosity and a look of wonder in her eyes. Emma couldnโ€™t help but smile as the girl exclaimed to no one that she had finally arrived. One had to wonder if she was a potential student for the Academy.

Emma kept to the side as people walked along the docks. She was quietly observing the peculiar girl when she noticed the way the female looked down at her grumbling tummy. Feeling instant sympathy for the girl, Emma had to wonder about the last time the female had had a proper meal โ€“ ships were not known for their amazing food.

Emma waited a moment to see if anyone stepped forward to meet or greet the peculiar girl. When no one seemed to be waiting for the girl, Emma decided that she should be the one to welcome the shifter female to Eoana. Stepping forward, she approached the girl and gave her a friendly smile.

โ€œHello there. Welcome to Eoana.โ€ Emma knew that the first rule of travel was to be cautious of strangers, so she made sure there was some distance between them. Emma also took care to give off a friendly, welcoming air. โ€œMy name is Emma, Iโ€™m fairly new to the area as well. Is it your first time in Eoana?โ€

The strange girl was so absorbed in taking in the sights she was caught off guard by the Emma suddenly speaking to her. With a little jump she would turn and exclaim, โ€œAh! A local!โ€ before looking quite embarrassed. She would look towards the ground and scratch the back of her head. โ€œ...er, what I meant to say is it is a pleasure to meet you. Ah? Yes, this if my first time to Eona. I've come all the way from Mistun to study in the Academy here, but I'm afraid I donโ€™t know the rest of the way.โ€

The girls stomach would once again announce its presence with a growl, causing her to look even further embarrassed. โ€œ...and uh, I kind of spent the last of my coin to buy passage here, so you wouldnโ€™t happen to know where a Shifter like me could forage for some grub? I saw some nice forest on the way in but this city is so big I'm not sure how to get around.โ€

Seeming to get over her momentary embarrassment the girl would look up at Emma with her large orange-brown eyes. โ€œOh, my name is Thanya by the way, Thanya Kamsing.โ€

Emma smiled at the girlโ€™s enthusiasm. It seemed that the long voyage hadnโ€™t dampened her spirits in the least. The revelation that this girl had come all the way from Mistun made Emma raise her brows in surprise. While it was a part of the mainland, it was far west and a place that she hadnโ€™t visited yet herself. Emma had been about to ask the girl a question when her stomach announced, yet again, that it needed filling. Smiling in a friendly and amused manner, Emma watched the girl closely.

โ€œNo need to be embarrassed, there are some things that we canโ€™t help, and a vocal stomach is one of them.โ€ Emma said with a grin. At the mention of the forest, Emma shook her head a little, her smile slowly fading. โ€œYes, there is a lush forest not far from here, but it isnโ€™t safe to venture into at this point.โ€ With all the people that had gone missing lately, the citizens of Eoana knew to give the forest a wide birth and enter with extreme caution and only when necessary.

โ€œItโ€™s nice to meet you Thanya. If you like, I can walk with you to the Academy. All students have room and board included, so Iโ€™m sure you can raid the kitchen and get something to eat without a problem.โ€ Emma said with a smile and a wink. Tilting her head toward the road, she turned to lead the way. โ€œWeโ€™ll have to walk through the city to get to the Academy, but it will be a good opportunity for you to see a bit of Eoana.โ€

Thanya's ears would droop at them mention of the forest. She looked a bit crestfallen. "Aww, really? The forest ain't safe? But, but what if I keep to the trees? I grew up in a jungle so I know a bit about avoiding nasty beasts." Thanya loved ambling through the trees of a forest looking for fruit. It was partly how she fed herself on her journey here. The idea that she might not be able to do that here seemed almost a bit unbearable.

With a sigh Thanya would nod Emma. "Yes, please take me to Academy... and thank you for your help."

Thanya would get over her melancholy rather quickly. What would follow would be a long arduous journey through the city punctuated by many stops and stares and an innumerable amount of questions.

Okay, that was it, he wasn't going out in the sun again...Well, at least not with such a thick jacket anyway... Having arrived back at his dorm the night before rather drained and quite exhausted, the Shadowmancer had soon seen himself heading for a nice, cooling shower before settling down on top of his bed to rest.

After the unexpected meeting with Cyrus in the Market District, Tala had gone for an extended wander around the far side of the marketplace, perusing the wares on offer but finding little to spur his interest... Sure, there had been a few things that had caught his eye, but nothing that had really grabbed his attention...

In the end, he'd found himself a sleeveless - hooded - top which he planned to wear that very morning. With talk of possible showers, Tala practically welcomed the offer of cooler weather, but with the clouds remaining patchy and the sun still quite hot, he knew the cooler weather would probably not be for some time... Still with the break, he knew the option of remaining in his room was only going to leave him bored and restless...

After much deliberation, the Shadowmancer had decided to brave the hot weather again, this time seeking out somewhere perhaps a lot cooler instead?

Reaching the City Port, Tala had taken a moment or two to peruse the Fish Market and the Docks, but both proved a little too busy (And perhaps a little fishy) for his liking and so he decided the Port and Harbour were the best locations to visit instead. Finding a quiet little jetty out of the way he would take a seat on the edge before drawing out his sketchpad. It had been quite a while since he'd allowed himself to de-stress with a little recreational art, but as it was cooler by the water's edge, it felt just right.

As the winds and the waves blew back and forth silently, peacefully, a fairly mid-sized bird flew in across the waves, its feathers dark as night and its eyes glowing a deep crimson. The bird looked like a normal bird for the most part, its body, frame, feathers, and beak all out of the ordinary. It landed just beside the young man sitting on the end of a small jetty off the docks. Looking up at the boy for a moment, it simply stared at him and down at the items in his hand, then back at the young man. It had pecked at the ground for a moment, displaying the generic actions of a normal bird. But there was something odd about this bird. Something eerie. When it stopped and second time, staring up at the young man sitting on the pier, it hopped closer to him until it was just shy of the young man's reach, before looking out over the oceans and waves.

"It's time," The bird suddenly let out, calling to the young man in a bit of a high pitched voice. From the cryptic message, to the odd way that it lingered by, it would likely start to make sense to the young man, where this bird had come from, why it was pitch black, and what was to come of the bird in time. "It's time, he has called for you..." The bird said again as it stared up at the young man making sure that the message was received. After a moment, the bird then looked back out toward the water, and hopped over to the edge of the small jetty, looking over the edge before crouching as if getting ready to pounce. The bird then simply dove into the water, its body seemingly melting into a stir of black oil before dissipating completely into the water as if it was never there. The message was sent, and the bird had completed its task.

The pencil had barely touched the paper when Tala's eyes had been drawn from the page, lifting to stare out at the water infront of him as he heard the gentlest of breaths beside him as the creature came into land...

From the corner of his eye, he watched as the form which gave off wisps of downward-flowing dark vapours like Ice on a hot day, it appeared curious, acting like any avian as it inspected the world around it before that familiar voice finally reached his ears... For some reason, it always made his skin tingle, but he knew it had been coming...

Tala locked eyes with the creature for just a moment - they all held that soulless gaze, yet it rarely left him all that uncomfortable anymore... He allowed its words to sink in before nodding and breathing a sigh - It wouldn't take long for him to return his things to his backpack, but for a brief moment he would pause, taking a few seconds to sketch out the creature's form as it turned its gaze towards the water. He knew what was coming and didn't really want to watch, but after a moment of peace, the bird curiously peered over the edge as though inspecting its reflection before disappearing into the water.

Tala had always wondered what kind of creatures Baba's Messengers had once been, most were often grossly disfigured, yet some seemed as pure in appearance as his own... In their true forms, he could only imagine what colours and patterns they displayed, but as he closed his backpack and rose to his feet, the Shadowmancer couldn't help but feel sorry for the being...Still, he had once again been summoned and it was wise not to keep the Witch - Or the Elder - Waiting.

Jace sat morosely at the bow of the ship, at least he was told it was the bow at least, staring out at the sea. He had long ago lost sight of his home town, yet he stared back in what he believed was roughly where it would be. He stared across the vast see in the direction of a continent he could just barely see, and at the other side of it lied his home. It didn't help his home in Langfrey was covered by large mountains, blocking all views from this angle. He used to wonder, when he was a kid, what was at the other side of those peaks. Wonder what it would be like to explore there. Now, all he can think about is going back. If it had been his choice...to go exploring, to take this ship ride...He may have enjoyed it. But now all he could think about was that he was banished from his own home. His forked tongue slipped past his lips briefly as he sighed sadly, hanging his head. One simple thing he didn't even have a choice over...and he couldn't return home until he fixed it. He had been fine with it before, not particularly liking being given these abilities unlike the rest of his family, and able to mask it well in the presence of others. But now that it was the source of his exile...he wished he never had it. He mentally cursed his distant uncle for causing this, blaming him for his misfortune. 'If only he had not been like this, I would have been perfectly content. I would not have to keep my abilities hidden.' He bitterly thought to himself. He shook the thoughts from his head, knowing it was pointless to think about it for now. Failing miserably, but he would try at least to not focus as intensely on it.

His gaze would shift back to the sea, something he had grown up with seeing from his home. 'Just never out on it.' He silently mused to himself. He could always smell the sea from his home, always see it from his house, and travel to it whenever he desired. He always thought of the tales of famous pirates, of people serving at seas, of the adventures of the world out at sea. He had no idea how much of a let down it would be. First, despite the family he was from, he was treated like nothing more than a liability since he boarded. They tried to keep him ushered in his cabin as often as possible, didn't want him to hurt himself and get in trouble for it. Thought he would throw a tantrum when they told him of what the food situation would be like. 'If I could have even kept it down the first few days.' He sickly thought to himself. He was not made for the sea, or at least it took him a while to adapt to it. Sea sickness had been a real thing to him, much to the amusement of the crew. They would have not dared such a thing in Langfrey, but here they seemed to not care who he was. It did not aid in Jace's transition to this sea journey. Nor did it help that he was there only passenger. His parents, in their 'Infinite wisdom' he thought sarcastically, had sent him on a private transport ship that was taking their own cotton to Eoana. This left him as the only non crew-member on the ship. Which, with their current attitude to the young Jace, left him with very little to do and no one to talk to. And left with all his thoughts of how he got here, along with his goal of what to do once he arrived.

Which he was currently trying to avoid back to as he again tried to push those thoughts away. Instead of focusing on the distant land mass, or the sea in general, he looked almost straight down from his position on the ship. Watching as the waves would break against this part of the ship, as others would just barely remain whole. The white froth and spray of the sea almost reaching him sometimes when the waves were particularly powerful. He had hoped to see fish here, but despite the clearness of the water it seemed they had no interest hanging around the surface. 'If the ship itself did not scare them away.' He sadly thought to himself. The trip would've been more bearable had there been any animals on it for him to interact with him. Ideally it would've been a person, but he would've been content with an animal at least. His youngest sister would've been smiling...imagining all these adventures and all manner of things if she were here. And he would've played along with her, playing the parts as they came. 'I'll miss her the most.' He thought to himself. He was broken from his thoughts as he heard a call go out from the lookout at the top of the ship, high up above the sails. He was pointing off to the right side of the ship, whatever side it was called, and as Jace's eyes followed it he saw what he was pointing to. Their destination. It was an island, not far off the coast of Valor, with imposing mountains that reminded him of his own home of Langfrey. He would remain there, just looking out at it for close to an hour. Watching as it slowly grew closer. Feeling fear, anxiety, sorrow, excitement and all manner of other emotions go through him the closer he got. His journey was almost over, and once he was there he was stuck until he met his parent's demands. However long it would take.

During the next few hours the island would steadily draw closer to them until they were in the harbor and beginning docking procedures. Jace had already gone down and packed his bags as he stood above deck with them, both dreading and looking forward to the moment he could finally escape this ship. He figured any company would be better than they were, though he knew once he set off all physical ties to his home would be severed for a time. He could hear the gulls above him, different but similar to those he heard back in the port of his home. Looking at the port itself, where he would be stepping off and having to navigate his way to his new home, it didn't seem so different from his own. He could see the general shops, people working to take down cargo as well as load them on, the sound of sailors and others in the bars. If he closed his eyes he could just imagine it being the same. But one sight shattered the illusion before it could last very long. The academy stood out clearly, rising much higher than any of the buildings in this port. Its presence was not to be ignored as it seemed to watch over everything around it, from Jace's perspective. 'And that is to be my home for the indefinite future.' He thought with slight awe and fear. He knew no one here, had no connections to anyone as far as he knew. Even home he only ever associated with those his family had allowed him to, as all his free time was spent with his siblings. He gulped at the thought of it. His families influence may not even have any reach or presence here. He was broken again from his thoughts as the gang plank was lowered and the captain told him to disembark. Jace was hesitant at first, but with some rude comments from the crew, he quickly stepped across it. To the island that he would remain trapped in for now. As soon as he disembarked the relative peace he had experienced on board was gone. He was being crowded, shoved, disregarded in every way as people went to and fro. He was not sued to the stillness of the land itself, having grown accustomed to the swaying of the ship. That alone almost made him fall. He had to hold on tightly to his luggage as the constant bumping almost made him drop his things and lose balance himself. He backed up a bit, going over to a currently empty dock to set his luggage down before he sat on it and stared at the bustling crowd. He would wait to proceed, not desiring to be tossed about like nothing when it was so busy. It also gave him an excuse not to go to the imposing academy that seemed to loom over him. "At least it won't be hard to find." He said to himself quietly with a bittersweet smile.

    Aldaine Deโ€™Fraye

    The New Guardsman

The high sea winds sang with the wild seagulls, blustering winds and crashing waves. The morning air was engulfed by the Oceansโ€™ salt water aroma, as former Trendel Noble, Aldaine Deโ€™Fraye, stepped up onto the Shipsโ€™ deck, stretching his muscles in the early morning sunlight. โ€œHmph, Weatherโ€™s nice todayโ€ Aldaine thought to himself as he gradually made his way to the front of the ship, expecting to once again bare witness to the endless miles of the empty sea ahead of them. Once at the shipโ€™s head, Aldaine soon spotted a port and city not too far off in the distance. โ€œEoana Port and Harbour inbound!โ€ Aldaine heard a voice call from the crowโ€™s nest atop the ship. Aldaine gazed at the land in front of them โ€œSoโ€ฆthis is Eoana. Finally.โ€ Aldaine continued his inner monologue. Reaching into his long coat, he pulled out his decorative silver pocket watch. Clicking it open, it revealed the time to be 10.15am. Sighing, he placed the watch back inside his coat and finished his train of thought โ€œThe city is a lot bigger than I thought itโ€™d be. I hope it doesnโ€™t take me all day finding the Barracks.โ€ Aldaine then closed his eyes, and let his mind relax, and swim off into the surrounding ambience, of the wild seagulls, the blustering winds and the crashing waves.

In a matter of hours, Aldaineโ€™s ship had docked at the Harbour. Aldaine was the first to exit the ship. He swung his brown leather sack of belonging over his shoulder and doned his wide-brim hat, making his way to the harbourโ€™s exit, trench coat flowing with the windโ€™s grace. Upon exiting the port, Aldaine examined the streets and Alleys in front of him. โ€œNow to find the Barracksโ€ฆโ€ he spoke quietly to himself as he marched onwards into the city.

Jace remained sitting at the port for close to an hour, watching as new people arrived while others left port. The ship he had arrived on had long since gone, being a simple delivery job and them needing to quickly move onto their next destination. It was a miserable hour. Jace was left sitting out in the open for the sun to attempt to kill him. He did enjoy being outside but he was never good when it was particularly hot or cold. While this was not there yet, it wasn't too far off and his inactivity was not helping him. It was also incredibly annoying when he felt himself begin to sweat a little while waiting. What was worse was that his waiting amounted to very little in actual progress to his goal or purpose of waiting in the first place. He sighed ad he wiped his forehead with the back of his arm, a little sweat having formed. The port was just as busy as when he first arrived, as while a good many people left, a good many people came in to take their place. It seemed to be an area that was teeming with activity for now at least, with no sign of dissipating soon. And though Jace may pride himself on his patience for long term pranks, he was losing his now. Mostly from the inactivity of sitting there. He was sure if he waited long enough, it would all clear up. But as he thought about it under the sun, his mind quickly discarded the thought. 'Better to cut my losses now than to remain out of stubbornness.' He silently thought to himself.

With that thought he would rise to his feet, stretching his arms and legs as they had locked up a little from his period of inactivity. Reaching down, he would grab one of his bags in each hand before raising them up and staring at the massive crowd in front of him. His initial venture into it had not gone well. His meekness would not do and would only serve to have the same result. He needed to approach this from an alternative angle if he was to get past the crowd. Taking a deep breath, he squared his shoulder and determinedly walked to the crowd. He did not slow as he neared it even as he saw no openings, hoping his pretense of not caring who was in his way would help. It may have...if he had committed to it. Inches from the crowd he stopped as he saw no one was making room for him, in fact it seemed they were trying to deny him any entrance into the crowd. Feeling shocked to be disregarded in such a way, he hissed in frustration. Noticing his forked tongue briefly slip out of his mouth he quickly pulled it back into his mouth before anyone noticed, or so he hoped. It seemed his new plan was not to work. 'Imagine that. A Willem who can't even get a crowd of commoners to clear for him. What would the others say...' He sadly thought to himself, thinking of how far he had been cast from the grace of his old life.

Still, he had to find some way to progress or he would never even make it to the academy, let alone graduate and return home. With a determined look Jace walked alongside the crowd, awaiting an opportunity. The first time he missed it as someone too quickly sped up to deny him entry. The second time he missed it because he was too far away. Finally, the third time, someone quickly left the main group for a ship, he quickly stepped forward and into place, using his large bags as space clearers so that no one could intercede. He heard grumbles and got dirty looks from the crowd but he did his best to pretend he didn't notice or care. Bowing his head a little to avoid eye contact with everyone, he would follow the crowd in the general direction of the academy, having mastered his first obstacle.

The sounds of waves crashing on the cargo boat was the only thing to keep Ishitari company on the endless blues. She remained seat with her head down towards the ground and hanbo at the ready. On her shoulder was her hatchling merlin that hopped around in an eager matter. An arm reached up to fuffle the bird's feathers while crew members walked around to get ready for landing at the docks. After what felt like an eternity of being aboard a ship, Ishitari waited patiently for the ride to dock so that she could finally be free to explore this new land. Wsh. Wsh. Boot clad feet stomped around the deck as Ishitari had it blend with the waves in an odd yet somewhat soothing melody. Her eyes closed while she listened to the harmony of these random noises. It brought her a feeling of peace and serenity, Entef chirping in to add to the melody. One by one these things were piling on top of one another to create a beautiful song unheard to all but her. Her hum was the fining touch to bring this masterpiece together while she continued to lengthen it. It was then interrupted as a crew man walked up to her to inform her that they had landed. In her symphony she must have lost track of the time.

Her bare feet stepped onto solid ground for the first time in a week. Ishitari took a deep breath of air and then exhaled. It had been so long since she was connected to the spirits once more. Tch. Tch. Tch. Tch. The baseline was set. Her feet trekked across the road with the boat behind her onwards to a new life. Her weapon was brought down to the ground to play its role in her next song. It hit the ground while she pressed into it and then lifted it up to repeat the process. Tch. Tch. Tph. Tch. tch. Tph.

Nora walked along the edge of the dock as she relished the breeze blowing through her hair, a smile on her lips and she closed her eyes and breathed in the smell of the ocean. "It smells like home." Nora thought as she sat on the edge of the dock, thinking back to when she would go and swim and play in the ocean with her brother in the mornings. She quickly took her black shoes off along with her socks and placed them next to her as her bare feet swung back and forth and the ocean breeze weaved through her toes.

As Nora sat there enjoying the view of ships coming and going through the harbor, she couldn't help but wonder about her family. How were they doing? Was her brother taking care of their parents like he said he would? Nora let out a puff of air and leaned forward to rest her chin on one leg. As Nora watched the dark blue waves, she couldn't help but sigh as her mind wandered.

Striding through the air with narrowed eyes and a fearsome expression on his face, Rhysian quickly made his way over all of the remaining buildings in his path. Looking down and seeing the fighting in the Market District irked the man but not enough to want to get him to intervene. After all, he was after the head of the snake, and so he would charge forward and only lower when he passed over the last few shops and buildings of the Market District, and reached the edges of the harbor. There were many ships at port, many docked throughout the different piers, but one stood out amongst the others, ornate, large, and imposing. Clenching his fist, Rhysian started to slow his stride to a quick walk as he touched down on the ground, and when he finally reached the ship, he didnโ€™t bother to speak to any of the men strewn about the pier. Stepping onto the pier, suddenly several men looked up while putting their hands on the hilts of their weapons and took position while one of the men at the front put his hand up to stop Rhysian. "Thatโ€™s far enough! This ship is Sovereign Land of the Kingdom ofโ€ฆ " Before he could finish his sentence, Rhysian waved his hand with a slight flick of the wrist and the man went flying into the waters.

At the sight, the rest of the men suddenly drew their weapons and started to charge forward, but before even if the first of them reached Rhysian, he brought both of his hands to his side with his palms up and muttered something under his breath quickly. "Vaand Hissh Myljaโ€ฆ" Rhysian would mutter as he brought his hands up over his head and clapped them together fiercely. Suddenly the waters from both sides of the pier rose up like a terrible wave and crushed into the men from both sides, clapping with a ferocious crash of the waves as all of the men on the pier were completely submerged. The large ship suddenly rotated with the lifting of the waters, enough to try to push the ship away from the pier, but the ropes held strong as the sound of men suddenly screaming both on the off the ship could be heard. As the water crashed together, however, the sounds of the men on the ground came to a stop as they were submerged, and then the waters returned into the harbor, washing the men away with it into the harbor. With no more men blocking his path, Rhysian continued on, storming up the gangplank and onto the ship. More men drew their weapons at the sight of Rhysian, but as they ran upon him, Rhysian brought his hand up in front of him, waving it in a small circle before rotating it upwards so that his fingers wear facing upwards as he snapped his fingers. The sound emanating from his snap suddenly roared through the air, like a large explosion unto itself, and the men suddenly fell to their knees as they head their ears and screamed out in pain. Rhysian then waved his hand towards them once more, and the wind picked up and started to blow fiercely at them, pushing them all back and pressing them against the edge of the ship, sending some of them falling overboard as others were pressed against the deckโ€™s wall. Paying no mind to any remaining men who were still conscious and grasping at their bleeding ears, Rhysian stormed straight towards the captains quarters lifting his hand up with his palm facing the door like he had done back at the meeting hall. The door suddenly blew out of its frame viciously, and Rhysian stormed right inside while bringing his hands back and crossing his arms behind him.

                                  [~ @Philia ~ ]

Varys ran fast and hard as he passed through the streets leading to the Harbor. Philia had decided to tag along, and at the charge of their Lord, several of the guards that were usually stationed at City Hall also followed along, concern in their eyes at their Lord Marshalโ€™s aggressive actions. The clanking of their armor could be heard as they ran from the City high quarters through side streets and taking the Main Road all the way to the Harbor. Looking up they could see Rhysian charging forward, and slowly he was outpacing them. Varys cursed to himself as he ran after him, continue down the road as quickly as possible. As they reached the edges of the Harbor, Rhysian had already reached the pier of the Trendelonian ship, and Varys couldnโ€™t believe what she saw next. The waters themselves suddenly rose up, causing the Harbor to lower everywhere else as the waters rushed the pier. Varys skid to a stop at the sight, his jaw nearly hitting the ground as he watched the waters sweep away everyone on the pier. "Uuuuuuuuhโ€ฆ" He let out as he watched Rhysian just walk on as if nothing was out of the ordinary. Varys then shook his head and quickly ran to catch up. When he ran up the gangplank, the men still on the ship were on the ground, holding their ears and just starting to regain themselves as they reached for their weapons. "Seize them quickly!" he would order while looking to the blown out doorway to the captains quarters, and he quickly ran inside to catch up to Rhysian.
