Music plays. The sound is like, well, music to your ears. It is bright and you feel it rush through you in an array of colors. Just then, a spotlight snaps on, its incandescent beam illuminating a stage, a ruby-red curtain. The stage is empty, for now. There is a sudden crackle in the music. Voice: Weeeeeeeeeeeellllcome to Playlist Swap! I'm not your host, but I'm here to tell you who is! But first - let's go over a few things, shall we? This is all about getting to know your fellow rper. Rper, gosh, that's a mouthful! But you'll be working together with someone chosen at random. It's all about giving, today, and you're going to create a playlist based on their character! Don't be shy, don't be worried - this is all to have a good time! And, without further ado... 1. You may sign-up once. Multiple characters can be included in your sign-up post.
2. Sign-ups will close on April 27th at 11:59pm EST.
3. Please post in this thread using the sign-up form.
4. One sign-ups close, please allow us a day to match everyone.
5. Matching will be done by a randomized list and you will be notified in this thread once the matches are complete! After:
1. Playlists should be around 8-10 songs long.
2. If you are matched with someone who lists multiple characters, you may choose 1 character or do a mix of them; it's up to you.
3. We encourage you to get to know your playlistee - see the participant post for their contact information.
4. Graphics/playlist album covers are not required, but if you would like to make them for your playlist, feel free!
5. You have one week from being quoted with your partner's name to complete your playlist.
6. Please post your completed playlist in this thread and quote your playlistee.
Note: Both spotify and playmoss are good sites to make playlists, but you can use anything you'd like!

A poor artist but a willing one, an eager gift giver, and he can also talk to plants! Full of young child enthusiasm. Cadi - College student in her third year, loves video games, nerdy television shows, and reading (she also writes as a secret hobby). Grapples with clinical depression and anxiety but tries to present herself as generally easy-going and friendly, although self-deprecating; pushes herself to be more social than she often feels up to. Ivy - A retired Peace Corps employee who is full of fun stories, loves entertaining, and has a very loud laugh. She cares about her family and tends to push people into experiencing. Loves to garden, gossip, spend time with her family, shop, and hang out with her dog Misha. Terrible at cooking (don't let her cook). Her husband passed six years ago and she tries not to let on how much she misses him (for her daughter's sake).

All about the rain, pomegranates, growth, and the seasons. She loves to learn and bonds with folks by giving gifts or playing games! Duncan: A high school teacher and museum curator who has dedicated most of his life to education and helping those in need, his family is not bound together by blood ties. He has traveled the world in his childhood and it shows in his interest in anthropology and magical studies! Aina's generous and kind grandfather who loves to garden, wear Thematically Appropriate bowties, and enjoy calming jazz/blues/swing music from the 1950s. He sometimes struggles with unresolved feelings of grief and sorrow from losing his wife, daughter, and parents so early. She does have deep-seated insecurities about herself but hides them well behind a bright smile and all her flowers. Ian: A quiet florist in his mid-thirties who was Entirely Unprepared to be a dad to a magical being. Generally warm and kind to everyone he meets but painfully shy, Ian is a gentle soul who spends most of his free time reading, watching tv, and being dragged around by Eden when needed. Very intelligent but unassuming, extremely modest and humble.

He's new age and definitely more modern than his charge. He loves the outdoors and camping, as well as tending to his garden and plants.

Rarely smiles unless he is with friends that he is comfortable with. Very independent, and although he likes to complain about it sometimes, he is a hardworking person and generally can get things done. Irritable, quick to anger, but can surprisingly hold it in and not burst into flames all the time. Cools down very fast too. (I need to update his profile) Kyou : Nice, easy-going and gentleman-ly type of fella. Although he doesn't look it, but his demeanor shows his age a bit. Also holds an air of mystery about him. Like you could get to know him, but at the same time you don't feel like you truly know him. Is obsessed with his research. However, after the incident, had learned to take things a little easier and enjoy life more. Likes to enjoy tea/coffee and cakes in the garden when the weather is nice.

Cruz: A social butterfly, relying on friendliness and charming naivete that he comes by genuinely, Cruz thrives around the company of others. Despite having such an ornery beast for a soul, Cruz is extremely approachable, affectionate, and loyal - however, he is known for bending the rules and taking liberties that may unintentionally upset or hurt others. Anita: Anita is an easy going person. She smiles and laughs often, has boundless patience, and doesn't allow herself to be pushed down by adversity. Even if she has problems with people, Anita tries her best to remain civil. She is a peace keeper and a defender but ultimately wants to just relax on the couch with a video game without worrying about dramatic problems. Gabe: Gabe carries himself as a man overcome by apathy but he is in fact just the opposite and greatly affected by his emotions despite every attempt to keep them at bay. First impressions of Gabe are often negative due to his typically poor attitude but, if given enough time and around the right company, he is a caring and supportive person with just a bit too much salt for most people to willingly handle.
