It's a miracle Julian has any friends, as first impressions would indicate to some there isn't much about him to like. He's perpetually cranky, largely because an array of medical problems makes him perpetually uncomfortable, leaving him in a perpetual shortage of positive things to say. On the other hand -- or perhaps as a direct result of this demeanor -- he takes after his family's eerie tendency to be pleasant company if the plans you have in mind for company involve saying little and doing less. If you take the effort to get to know him on his terms, you'll find that he's simply a chronically ill introvert with little energy to spare for spending time with others, who deeply cares for those he chooses to spend his time with.
Well, I mean, probably.
CAREER PURGATORY
Julian has spent the past four years going through med school in Chicago only to come out the other end realizing he really doesn't want to be a ******** doctor, and has since gone to hide with his aunties in Ashdown to avoid everything. After a lifetime of being molded into someone who's supposed to prioritize success and follow the dreams his family made for him, he has absolutely no idea how to even start reclaiming control of his life.
