Hobbies:
Gambling - Rob likes to gamble and we're not necessarily talking hitting up the local casino (though if given the opportunity, he'll certainly pay it a visit!). Rob likes to take his chances, he likes to flip a coin and let fate decide what happens. Should he work on this file or that file first? Let's flip that coin and find out. Do you think that person's going to finish their meal or wuss out at the end? Let's place a wager and see what happens. Betting on things and flipping a coin to aid in decisions is just a colorful way to admire the world he's forced to live in.
Drinking - He started sneaking swigs from his father's liquor cabinet at fifteen and hasn't stopped drinking since. After a long day's work, he can be found lounging around on his couch or recliner, sipping on some comforting Jack Daniel's or some Bayou Silver - or really, whatever he's still got in his own liquor cabinet. He's not much for mixing anything beyond a Rum and Coke or a White Russian, much preferring the quick buzz he'll get from straight shooting.
Schmoozing - Schmoozing gets you places. Hobnobbing and mingling at fancy dinner get-togethers or government officiated parties is the quickest way to get the skinny on anyone or anybody who is going through difficult times or, on the opposite end, rising to the top. Those dangling upon troubled times will naturally need a lawyer to keep their heads above water, so Rob likes to keep on top of things and snag a potential client when he spots an opportunity. Likewise, if someone is climbing up the figurative social ladder, he wants to be the best friends with them - what better way for him to expand his clientele than to be seen with the richest, most popular people?
Virtues:
Silver Tongued -- Eloquence and phrasing is not a problem for Rob. As soon as he can figure out what you want to hear, he's going to make sure you hear it. Being able to persuade individuals is a prominent part of being a lawyer and Rob has no problem sweet-talking any individual to help him win over any case or client.
Clever - Being a good lawyer also requires you to be a clever individual. Knowing which judges work best in your favor is a key factor in winning a trial, as is ensuring your client knows the right things to say and the right way to phrase it. He does his best to be at the right places at the right times and if something isn't going his way, he is very quick to do his best to turn the figurative tables around in his favor.
Flaws:
Self-centered -- At the end of the day, it's all about Rob. He does things that benefits himself - if it helps you too, it's just a happy coincidence. Rob is out to make money for Rob, he's out to give Rob a good time and to make sure Rob feels secure as he works on building up a healthy nest egg for - you guessed it - Rob.
Machiavellian - If he has to do something devious or horrible to get the outcome he desires, he's certainly willing to do it. Duplicity is key, morality can be sacrificed. Everything is done with the end result in mind because the end always justifies the means. If he has to tamper with the witness or the evidence to ensure the jury will side with him, he's willing to take that chance (and risk his license, in the process).
