Your character has been requested by a villager to kill an oversized, angry insanity-fused basilisk minipet. For some reason, they also want you to do this without your clothes.
You are given a towel to wear, and must go out and destroy the basilisk. The basilisk has 30 HP. You have 30 HP and regular dice mechanics*, because somehow not having your clothes has made you weaker. The basilisk does -3 damage every time you hit it. *By "regular dice mechanics," please use the dice equivalent to your student's level. If your character is a Y1 student or a guest, please use 2d6-6. If your character is Y2, use 2d8-6, etc.
- If you roll double dice at any point of this fight, your towel comes off, and you end up accidentally flashing everyone! You must leave the thread (battle) in embarrassment (your character cannot fight any more, though others can succeed you.
If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get a basilisk eye. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list

They needed basilisk eyes. Those things could freeze the Apex pets, so they could actually wrangle them. Andrew had heard if from some other villager.
"Ok here's the thing Olivia.... When I talked to that villager they said it would be easier with a Basilisk eye.... The only problem is, the only way to fight a basilisk is in a towel and nothing else." why in nothing else, Andrew had no idea. It made zero sense to him, but he figured between the two of them, they had a chance. If they were able to do it without their towels dropping.
Oh in his case burning to the ground like last time.
Andrew was hoping that he would be able to do this without that little mishap like last time. that was bad. Very bad. Andrew was actually hoping Olivia would just say now and they would attempt to wrangle those minis without a basilisk eye. He was not sure letting her see him naked was worth it.
Though maybe the only consolation was that he might see her naked. Oh hold up, stop that train of thought right there. She was undead. It occurred to him that she might not be exactly have all of her parts. And she might be embarrassed.
Well if she was too embarrassed she would simple say no and they could turn around here. Yeah hopefully she would just say no.
Despite Andrew's hopefulness, Olivia didn't seem to object to the challenge. "Oh, just a towel?" She looked down at her outfit, the usual sort of affair that covered her head to toe with deep colors and puffiness and cute boots. It didn't bother her completely but it was still not very often she wore so little - the few times she actually bathed, the one time she went to the beach... showing off a large amount of her skin was not something she did every day. Not out of embarrassment or anything, it was just her norm and how the vast majority of her outfits just... were put together. It would be different but.. that shouldn't be too bad.
"Could be fun!" In fact, she already started to take off her clothing. First her boots, then she went to the various lacings of her dress.
Olivia's definition of fun confused him, as usual. "...." he stared at her and then realized she was already stripping. Ok then she clearly had no qualms about this. Andrew walked off to grab the towels and stares suspiciously at the villager while he did. No taking his cloths again.
"Here." Andrew tossed Olivia a towel and then walked off to go get changed.
Once he was done changing. Ok really getting naked and then pulling a towel around himself. He hated walking around in nothing but a towel. Anyway once he was done, he walked out to go fight the Basilisk. He decided to not just fling fireballs everywhere, that might be bad for hes companion. (And his towel) So he walked up, and punched the mini. He did let flames lick off his hands... but he also had to risk letting go of the towel and hoping it stayed. Andrew tried to use a wing to keep it pinned but who knew how long that would last.
This sucked, he hated this, he did not know why he kept doing these thing. A glance back at Olivia reminded him. And then he was smacked in the face by a tail.
The towel at least covered enough of her to not feel self conscious, if she .. actually felt that way. But she knew enough that it wasn't decent to not wear clothes. It did feel much cooler to go with so much less. Like when she was in the bathing suit. Olivia held out her blackened arms, as if to let them breathe and take in the open air. Her legs wouldn't have been able to get the same treatment, least she wanted to stand.
If Andrew did look, he would have also seen a gaping wound near where a human heart would have been peeking out from the top hem of the towel, crystallized a little from the effects of being a wight with the same fading black as her hands and feet. (He might have also seen this at one of the Proms.. it had been a while though...)
Well, actually, he would have seen it in all its glory as well as the rest of her pale skin when she attempted to go attack the snake. Her efforts to keep the towel on were apparently for naught, it came right off. "This doesn't seem good..." No, something - whispers even - were telling her it was not.

He warned her. Olivia didn't even manage to land a hit.
Andrew might have been checking her out. He barely remembered the hole in her chest, that he could see over the towel. It was unusually to see this much of the ghoul she was usually a lot more layered, probably to keep her cold in. He was looking at the patterns of her arms as they drifted from blackened to a white color. He wasn't trying to stare but the hole was integrating. He wondered how deep it went. Wondered if those crystals were like the ice that formed around her. She was a mystery that ran on pure FEAR. Not needing to breath no blood circulation of any kind that he could see. And yet she moved about. FEAR. Amazing stuff.
Then the towel drop and Andrew got way more than he was expecting. honestly he had expected her to be able to keep the towel on a lot longer than that. He turned away flushing as his body decide it was going to heat up. There was no hiding it, he saw, he deferentially saw. It wasn't a big deal, right? It was just skin.
His tail burned high as his body went into heat overdrive. He turned and just blasted that heat into the basilisk actually managing to throw it back a few feet with the force of the push as well as the wave of fire after.
The towel had no chance. One second it was there the next it was gone, burned to a crisp.

Then Olivia got to see much more of Andrew than she expected to see. Apparently he wasn't on fire everywhere - she had gotten that hint when he threw his own towel on but this was just confirmation.
But it was all she really got to see of him - she would have just kept on staring at him if it were not the natural reflex to flinch at fire and close her eyes. That had been just a little too much for comfort.
These villagers sure had some interesting hobbies.
At least, that was what he assumed this was. He was pretty sure fighting creatures in not much other than a towel wasn't something someone would do without it being for fun. Ignatius sure found the idea of it fun, if only because it gave an extra challenge. He had no shielding, after all! Therefore, being in only a towel as requested didn't really bother him in the slightest -- he was far more interested in the battle against the basilisk.
Ignatius walked towards where the basilisk was currently raging, taking a moment to survey the scene. There was a flame demon currently standing there, clearly flaming considering he just observed the towel burn to a crisp. Well then. There was an undead hiding her face nearby, too, similarly missing a towel. Perfect! Ignatius must have been there to save the day!
Excellent.
Grinning, Ignatius turned towards the basilisk and pulled his hands apart, summoning some electricity between them. "C'mere!"
Once he was certain that the basilisk's eyes were on him instead of possibly eyeing the poor naked embarrassed creeple, Ignatius pushed his hands forward and launched some electricity at the basilisk. It was actually a fairly strong blast, perhaps encouraged by the fact that Ignatius felt stronger -- just because he got to be a hero, after all.
"Ha!"
The basilisk was not very amused, but that didn't seem to be an issue for adrenaline-filled Ignatius...

Ignatius was, perhaps, so victorious that he was beginning to act a little foolish. When he went back around for a second hit, he was a little more sloppy with his aim, and consequently did not manage to finish it off. It had seemed so weak, though! He could certainly have done more damage than what he had just done.
In fact, the basilisk seemed to do a greater hit to him than he did to the basilisk! That was something Ignatius would not accept. Not when he needed to act heroic.
And so, he regathered himself and immediately got ready to try again. So far, so good. His towel was even in tact!

Concentrating on his power, Ignatius pushed out some more electricity towards the basilisk, determined to actually bring down the basilisk this time. He wasn't going to let himself be defeated by a silly basilisk, even if he was wearing a towel. Especially because he was wearing a towel, even.
Fortunately for him, the basilisk didn't truly have much energy left. While it managed to swipe at him one last time, perhaps attempting to knock the towel off him so he could not fight it anymore--according to the villagers' rules, anyway, Ignatius was not entirely sure what the big deal was--it was not able to do much else than that and quickly fell.
Ignatius practically strutted over to the fallen basilisk, kicking it with a small sound of victory. When he did that, something fell away from the basilisk. Huh. Curiously, Ignatius picked it up. An eye? Huh. Ignatius shrugged, pocketing it along with some of the other things he had obtained. There seemed to be a few others that were sitting there for some reason...
He turned back around to the other two that were present, not seeming to notice or care about any concern they might have had about their own modesty. Perhaps it did not even register. "Took care of your basilisk for you!" Ignatius pointed behind himself, gesturing. "Seems like it dropped some things if you want them. Might be useful. Or interesting, at least."
With a salute, he strolled away... after running back and remembering to pick up his clothing, anyway.

The fire seemed to be gone, but even Olivia didn't open her eyes right away. She barely noticed the other boil who came in to battle the basilisk and bring it down until the very end and he called to them. Olivia's bright eyes widened, "Aa! It's dead! Andrew, he helped us," she informed the boil - wherever he may be.
Still not producing the towel that had covered her up previously, nor even retrieving her clothing for the sake of Andrew's eyes, Olivia ran down to where the remains of the serpent creature lay and the small little of goodies. For something that seemed to have only one eye, it sure left others behind. She picked one up and rolled it in her hand, basilisk innards juices and all. It was rather pretty actually. Hopefully she could keep this as well!
Normally she would stuff such items in her pocket, but when she reached down to complete the motion she realized she still lacked clothing. Oh, perhaps she should go get some.
"Andrew, I'm going to go get my clothes ~ then can we do more fun things again?"
