Quote: - It seems as if the villagers now want you to collect some eggs. Some untainted, un-miasma fused precious wyvern eggs from an exotic wyvern couple that sadly passed away. You must scale a very high mountain in order to get these eggs. - Your character is dropped off at the base of the mountain. The goal is to climb the mountain and get the egg. To scale the mountain, you must write a jaunty 250 word post of your character scaling the mountain. You can do this as you please, there are plenty of angry nesting minipets, boulders, and possibly giant serpents blocking your way. As you reach the top, obtain the egg, and you are ready to begin your descent. - Every single creature possible, especially rolling sand lobsters, will try to destroy your egg. Roll 1d4 four times and match your dice roll to the prompt below to reach the bottom of the mountain. Yes, repeats do happen if you roll a repeat. Your egg has 10 HP. If you make it down without the egg reaching 0 HP (breaking) you made it! 1) A sand lobster rolls right into your egg and nearly breaks it! -2 HP 2) Strange velociraptor minipets are hungrily staring at your egg. They try to attack it! -1 HP 3) A giant snake smacks you with its giant tail. Ouch! -3 HP 4) Nothing happens. He hadn't made it five steps away from the clearing before he felt something sharp sting his side.
"Ignatius?" Bren didn't even know why he said it. The sensation felt nothing like lightning and he had never seen the boil carrying a sword or anything. Sure enough, when he turned around, Ignatius wasn't there at all. A hooded figure with a long, pointy spear stood behind him, prodding him farther into the mist. He could have fought back, but this was unfamiliar territory and he had no idea what sorts of tricks these fog people had up their sleeves.
It hardly took them any time at all to reach the mountain, even though he'd seen no evidence of it until they were ten feet away. Besides its giant, rocky face, Bren could now see Ignatius again, but when he tried to motion to his friend, the spear jabbed him in the leg.
"No talk, only climb. Eggs."
He wanted to ask why he needed to be the one to do this in particular, why this creature couldn't remove its cloak and get the eggs itself, but instead he sighed and shuffled over to the steep mountain, fitting his fingers into a couple of high crevices that seemed made to serve as handholds. He began to climb, but only got a few feet before a very angry bat swooped close, flapping in his face and causing him to fall. This was going to be a long climb. He expected Ignatius might get bored waiting at the top.

Ignatius had heard Brenley, but that didn't mean he was able to respond. "Hey!" He swatted at the feeling behind him, but all that managed to do was encourage the villager to just jab him some more, glaring at him. What was this boil's major malfunction? Did he want to bring him to their leaders? Perhaps he was prodding them towards a pot like in some of those adventure movies. He wasn't very good to eat. After all, he was an elemental. And electric at that. It wasn't even like he was just water. "I'm not very tasty you know!" The villager gave him an odd, confused look, before just prodding him a bit harder in the back. It moved Ignatius forward, even if he turned back and continued to snark at the cloaked villager until they made it to the mountain itself. Mountain? This didn't look much like a pot. "No talk, only climb. Eggs." Ignatius felt another prod from the villager behind him. "Get eggs. Bring them back." Really? They wanted them to get eggs? Why? Ignatius turned around to ask why he needed to fetch eggs from the top of the mountain of all things, but he felt himself get prodded in the back again, so he decided that he wouldn't question it further and instead take on the challenge with the gusto of someone who really liked climbing mountains. Considering he was a free runner, getting a start and grasping onto the ledges he managed to see wasn't that hard, and he pulled himself up, climbing from one ledge to the next and attempting to dodge around things that came flying by him. He winced as he spied a bat go flying by him to attack his friend in the face, only to charged at by an agitated snake. Ignatius made a small noise of surprise, grasping onto a ledge to duck out of the way and let the snake drive itself off the edge. Well then. Hopefully that wouldn't fall on Brenley... Ignatius swung his legs up and clawed towards the top, continuing to move as quickly as possible so these angry snakes and the loose boulders didn't have a chance to actually get to him. That didn't stop him from getting a few bite marks and bruises, though those would heal up soon enough. Once he reached the top of the mountain, he stood to his full height and wiped his brow. That was a fun challenge, though perhaps it had a little more obstacles than he would have assumed... Now where were those eggs?

The snake did fall on him, as well as a handful of rocks, several things that looked like cats with wings, and a number of very bitey lizards. Luckily for Brenley, everything besides the lizards seemed content to just bounce off of his face and hands, which was irritating but not all that discouraging. He made it to the top well after Ignatius, spotting the nest as soon as he arrived. The eggs, however, were nowhere to be found.
"Sorry that took so long. This whole thing is just... weird." He brushed off his hands on his pants, trying to ignore the sting of his scratched up palms. "I'm going to look around there," he said, pointing to the nest. "Hopefully they just got knocked out." If the eggs were all broken, Jack help him, he was going to scream.

Weird was certainly a word for this whole situation, and Ignatius gave a loud laugh in response. At least nothing seemed to be bothering him... The nest seemed like the most logical place to find eggs, and instead of looking elsewhere, Ignatius shrugged and followed behind Brenley to get a look. "Not sure of these villagers, personally. They seem a little pushy." A little was probably putting it lightly, considering they were using spears to prod them to climb up a mountain to bring them some jackdamned eggs. Was the fog getting to these people? Maybe it was so foggy because they were so gloomy and angry all the time. (Were there creatures in Halloween that could influence the weather like that?)

"Pushy, yes." So pushy that he was afraid to linger here lest they follow the two of them up and poke them with sticks some more. "And I can't believe I had never heard of Miasma Village before this morning either. It was supposedly a tourist spot in its day. Now it's just... a dump." He gently kicked at a small heap of leaves with his boot, uncovering an odd, mottled egg. "Found one." He picked it up and cradled it like a scareling as he made his way back to the edge of the mountain. Surprisingly, despite the masses of angry animals skittering up and down its sides, none of the creatures seemed to care about his presence, at least not yet.
"This place isn't boring. I'll give it that much. Sometimes weird is... fun?" He didn't sound convinced, but at least he was trying.

"A tourist spot?" That was, perhaps, the most absurd thing he had heard that day. Ignatius took a moment to stand on his toes and glance over the edge of the mountain, down at the fog and where the grumpy villagers were. Sure. Tourist spot. "Maybe if you enjoy being stabbed and forced to do things for creeple," joked Ignatius, hauling up one of the eggs for himself. He was fairly confident that he'd be able to get down the mountain with the egg, considering the challenges he had conquered on his way up. He shot a grin over at Brenley. "Well, shall we go have more fun?" As he jumped down to the next ledge, some velociraptors decided they wanted a piece of his egg. One managed to swipe at it before Ignatius swept the egg away and carried it next to his head instead. They attempted to swipe at his legs and his arms, but Ignatius shook them off, kicking them down the mountain to get them away. HP: 9

"Sad, but true," Bren confirmed. He might have been doing some eyePhone research on the way here, but he would neither confirm or deny that fact now.
He watched Ignatius hop down the mountain, dealing with some insistent passing velociraptors like they were little more than insects, then the boil reluctantly followed. The giant snake was visible before it reached him, but there wasn't a lot he could do to avoid it besides go faster, which would only end in sudden dissipation. Brenley took the hit, frowning at the minuscule crack in his egg's shell as he continued his descent.

Ignatius watched a snake go charging at his companion, offering a, "Watch out for snakes!" considering he had to deal with them on the way up. His leg twinged a bit in sympathy. It was unfortunate that he was not paying quite enough attention to snakes that might have been pursuing him, and lo and behold, another snake came after him, this time particularly going for the egg. Ignatius, like Brenley, had little choice but to let the snake scrape by his egg, though that was mostly because he hadn't noticed in time. "Jackin' snakes on this mountain!" HP: 6 2/4 rolls

This time the velociraptors made for Bren's egg instead. They should have reminded him of Screech. Instead, they were kind of terrifying. In what was probably a horrible move, he rested his egg between his shoulder and his cheek so he could kick at the minis with more flailing fervor. Fortunately, they dispersed almost immediately as a result. Unfortunately, his egg suffered another tiny crack.
He looked down. Also a horrible move. "Almost there!"

Ignatius let out a whoop to encourage Brenley as he fought off the velociraptors, watching them disperse themselves elsewhere. That meant they also left him alone, thankfully. Not that he couldn't handle them. They were just tiny things anyway. Too big for their britches obviously. "Good! These creatures don't deserve a snack!" HP: 6 3/4 rolls

He could almost feel the ground beneath his feet when the sand lobster arrived and rolled into his side. Bren lost his grip, sliding the rest of the way down the mountain until he really could feel the ground again. Now that he was safely at the bottom, all of the angry minipets seemed to lose interest, leaving the boil to silently watch Ignatius descend with much more skill than he himself had. At least his egg was only mildly damaged. When he held it out to one of the people in the cloaks, they pushed it back toward him. Okay then.

Perhaps it was skill or perhaps it was just luck that allowed him to continue to avoid the angered minipets, as Ignatius continued down the mountain without a hitch. Brenley hadn't been so lucky, though a sliding descent did look rather entertaining. Perhaps he should try climbing back up and sliding down instead... Then again, that would require having to deal with those angry snakes again. Not that he couldn't handle them of course, but perhaps there were less snake-filled things to do in this so-called former resort town. Hopping down the last ledge, Ignatius too attempted to hand over his egg, only to be refused likewise. Alright then. "I guess these are ours now." Not that he really knew what to do with a egg. "I guess so." It was all rather ridiculous, ridiculous enough to pull a smirk from the boil as he found a pouch on his belt that would safely house the egg. After all of that excitement, he was at a bit of a loss without some spear or another jutting into his side.
"Anything else you want to do around here?" Honestly, he could take or leave the place when he wasn't being assaulted by minipets, but it was probably in their best interests to go.Seiana_ZI do you want to time skip and do egg part 2? it has almost the same mechanics as dysentery so we might be better off soloing that and doing something else XD

Following suit, Ignatius swung his shoulder bag around and plunked the egg inside a cushioned pocket. It wasn't the safest place for it, but it wasn't like he had a much better place to place it... Ignatius tended to travel very light, after all. Jokingly, Ignatius offered, "If this is what they were offering for people to do as a resort town, I can see why they're not really a resort anymore," and winked. He shifted from one leg to another for a moment before shrugging. "Maybe doing some more things here will get them to help us leave?" It was more promising than standing around, anyway. Not that hyperactive Ignatius was doing much of that, already bouncing. "Shall we?" Smerdle Ah dysentery :'D Up to you haha I haven't done any other quests with Ignatius yet. #fail
