Your character has been invited by a villager to harvest on top of the remote glacier infringing on the northern outskirts of the village. What an honour!

- The walk is very steep and treacherous. You are allowed to harvest as much as you'd like until you slip and fall down the glacier all the way back to town (must remake thread). This quest is only considered completed if you get the rare machalite ore.

Roll 1d6 and continue rolling until you slip and fall back to town OR get the machalite ore. Really, whatever comes first. Make sure to rp it out.

1. You spot some beautiful crystal fragments. You manage to get the machalite ore!
2. You get distracted by a pile of bones and gather some bone fragments that are ultimately useless because you're not a gunner
3. You get distracted by some honey. It is delicious.
4. You get distracted by a pile of herbs. You pick some herbs and ask the villager what they are. He says "herbs". They are barely edible.
5. You accidentally slip and fall back to town! Oh no! (Quest fail!)
6. You find a great spot to fish but you didn't bring your fishing rod.

He was not entirely sure how this could be considered an honour, but Ignatius was always willing to take on new challenges.

Even if they were ones involving climbing up ice. Water ice, to be exact. The thing that did not exactly get along very well with someone made out of electricity. Thankfully, it didn't seem that anyone was coming along with him, so he wasn't likely to accidentally hurt anyone in the process of trying to get up the mountain.

Of ice.

Ignatius glanced up at the glacier and decided there was no time that was a better time to try it than now, so he cracked his knuckles, attempted to find a proper place to grip, and started making it his way to the top.

Was that ... honey?

On a glacier?

Ignatius reached out to it curiously, letting some of it fall onto his hand. He brought it to his mouth and licked his lips. That was delicious. Instead of going further up the glacier further, he started to spend some time gathering the honey, placing it in a bottle, and placing it within his backpack.

Unfortunately, while Ignatius was apparently good at scaling mountains and he was most definitely skilled at climbing ledges or even parts of buildings, he was not so skilled at glaciers.

Not only did the feeling of the melting water ice not interact well with his body (he liked the feeling of shocks, but after a while it made him shake) but water ice was also just generally slippery and rather hard to grip. It was because of that that he really couldn't find his proper footing once he moved up beyond the honey, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't manage to recover that footing, falling and falling.

In fact, he fell backwards and ended up falling on his back, sliding all the way back down the mountain and back into the main town.

That was actually rather fun! He was ready to try that again.

Once he was shown where the glaciers were located once again, Ignatius got himself ready to head back out onto the trip. It didn't take very long for him to get back, and after that long slide back to the town, Ignatius actually wanted to give it another shot. Perhaps he could slide down all the way from the top of the glacier; that would be exciting.

And so, he found his footing again on the steep mountain of ice and started his way up.

Of course, as he had to take a similar route, he saw that delicious honey again. Deciding he could afford to take a bit more, Ignatius took out his bottle once again and attempted to gather some more of it just for safe-keeping.

Once he passed the honey, this time, he didn't fall all the way down the ice. Instead, he managed to find his footing, and kept going on his way up.

As he kept going, his eyes locked on some bones and bone fragments littered in one area on a ledge. Where had those come from? Had a skeleton fallen down the glacier? Clearly the skeleton hadn't planned his route correctly.

The bones didn't seem to be moving, so they clearly didn't currently belong to anyone, so he kept moving.

Once he had moved beyond the bones, the trip up the steep glaciers seemed like it had gotten much easier.

It didn't take too much longer before he reached the top, where he stood proudly with his hands on his hips and looked around like he had conquered the world. As he looked around, his eyes caught something shining underneath him, and he moved to it to get a better look. What was this? Was this the ore they had mentioned back at the village?

Well, Ignatius would just have to get some of that for himself, then.

The elemental set to work on mining it from the glaciers, eventually managing to extract it and add it to the things he was keeping in his bag. Eggs, honey, machalite ore--for not being a resort town, at least not anymore, one could collect a nice amount of things from it! Ignatius felt accomplished.

That sense of accomplishment was soon replaced with a sense of excitement as he plopped down on the glacier, pushed himself off, and slid on his bottom all the way down.

"THIS IS AWESOME!"
