 || PERSONALITY ||
 Personality: From the time he was a wiggler to now, Hazmas has always been a very practical troll. He sees things like the hemospectrum as set and very cut-and-dry and thus nothing he could nor desired to change. Despite being a green blood and somewhere between middle and lower class of Trollian society, Hazmas is actually pretty well to do, though most of his stuff either handmade from things he found or high end stuff he's saved up for. However, living in Chittentown, he's gotten a lot of flock for either being too well-to-do from lower bloods or not being well-to-do enough from several higher bloods he's encountered during trips with his lusus to other towns. This has led to him becoming rather gruff and insensitive towards other trolls, preferring the solitude of his hive workshop to the company of others. This doesn't stop him from enjoying himself once in a while, however, and those who can get past his gruffness come to find that there's more to Hazmas than his mechanics and rough approach to introduction. For those on his incredibly small list of friends, he's loyal to a fault, incredibly protective, and caring to a point, which he shows by spending time with people, repairing things for free and allowing them into his workplace.
Being a young troll, Hazmas is extremely active and can't stand being idle for long. To keep from going stir crazy, he busies himself with various projects ranging from building and inventing to learning new skills ranging from how to use musical instruments to learning the latest dance moves. When it comes to his dabbling, he will try anything that peaks his interest, though his preferred activities centered on music, dance, crafting and building things, and chemistry. He also loves collecting things and whether it's tools, materials or his favorites: clothing and boots, Hazmas is always excited when he finds something of real quality. He takes great care in preserving those quality items, often keeping them in a safe, a secure drawer in his desk, or stashing it somewhere before his lusus can find and play with it. When it it comes to things like clothing, particularly expensive dress clothing, he often takes measures to make them last longer than his other things. This is a particularly difficult task considering how roughly he and Machim play and how much Machim enjoys making nests out of the clothing he isn't wearing at the present moment.
However, when it comes to things of lower quality, Hazmas loves using his skills to mix, match and combine materials to make them even better. Whether it's taking one thing apart and adding it to another item, or trying out a new reinforcing chemical serum, Hazmas is always looking to use and improve his lesser or more common items. Unfortunately, this has also led to a minor case of perfectionism. This perfectionism and his eye for detail makes him very unwilling to ask or accept help from other trolls, unless he knows they're as good as or better than him on what he's working on. He isn't abject to helping others though, and actually takes great pride in being of use. However, he isn't naive and can, more often than not, see when he's being used or taken advantage of, thanks to his vigilance.
When not learning, building or practicing something, he enjoys playing with his Lusus, Machim, utilizing the unique set up of his hive for various games. Machim's favorite is Pounce the Baby, in which the two attempt to ambush each other - the loser being the one ambushed first-, and tag. Because of how his lusus plays, Hazmas has learned to be constantly aware of his surroundings - the people, places, things that are going on around him, etc. Understanding and dealing with everything, on the other hand, is another story. He frequently misunderstands others' actions and phrases, causing confusion and sometimes contention between him and other trolls.
After several painful and costly misunderstandings between him and other trolls across the Hemospectrum, Hazmas has begun asking for clarification and verification of what he heard and understood. This can be very stressful for him though, since he considers it asking for help, which he is averse to. When stressed, upset, or things just get too much for him, Hazmas combs his hair with his fingers which both calms him and helps him focus. He will do this in trollian company, regardless of class. Though some might see this as a sign of vanity, considering how well he and his lusus cares for his appearance, it has been and will continue to be a clear sign of distress.

|| STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES ||
Strengths:
Determined: Whether it's being super attentive when using his chemicals or finishing off that one project still needing to be done before morning, Hazmas refuses to leave any project undone. He takes his work and responsibilities very seriously and if one way of doing things falls through, he'll find another way to make it work. This is immensly useful since many things go wrong in both relationships and engineering/construction projects, some of which even older and tougher trolls would have thrown in the towel on. He does this with his relationships too. If he and his crush are having issues, then he'll do his utmost to try and figure out the problem, even if it sometimes makes it worse. Needless to say, he's very dogged in his antics and will often not stop until he is given a firm "yes" or "no" by his intended interest. Only then will he possibly back off out of respect for that troll.
Resourceful: Hazmas is exceptionally good at making things out of almost nothing and does so as a kind of hobby. Whether he's using old bits of metal, the remnants of a demolished hive or the bones of another troll or beast, he enjoys making whatever unique and usually useful thing he can think of. This helps when he's in a pinch and needs to improvise something, like a gadget, smokescreen or quick fix on the spot.
Vigilant: As a youngster, one of the first things his Lusus taught him was to be vigilant. This was intensified when she began pouncing him at random moments of the day. Spotting inconsistencies, odd sounds, or noticing things out of place, became a specialty of his and has also led to a bit of people/troll-watching. Though he's not too skilled with communications, Hazmas is very good at identifying the danger signs of those he knows or has gotten to know.
Organized: Due to all the "materials" Hazmas collects for the various projects he has planned and is currently working on, he's had to make his own organization methods which include shelves, crates, cupboards, and anything else he can make to keep his stuff organized. This has led to several innovative methods of storage and organization, though his preferred method of sorting his materials is first by type (what they are), next by use (what it can do/is used for), then by weight, and lastly by color. His tools on the other hand, are sorted by type, necessity, and use.
Flaws:
Fight Reflex: After being raised with a lusus whose favorite game was "POUNCE THE BABY', Hazmas has an extremely effective "Fight" reflex. When startled, Hazmas will strike whatever startles him regardless of who or what it is. This could be useful in battle but in everyday life, it's been a MAJOR hindrance. While other less animate objects end up damaged or accidentally destroyed, many of his friends have sustained grievous injuries after startling him.
Misunderstanding: Whether it's written, spoken or implied, Hazmas is VERY good at misunderstanding things and will often act on those misunderstandings, often resulting in something embarrassing or something going catastrophically wrong. Because of this, friends & acquaintances to often recommended that he read over things thoroughly, ask for clarification and check with the people/writings again before he does anything... foolish.
Territorial: Because of the amount of work he's put into either making or maintaining his things, Hazmas is incredibly protective of his things and rarely allows anyone but himself to touch his things. He attempts to keep his more personal (and volatile) belongings on his person at all times and is prone to yelling, scolding, howling and possibly becoming physically violent towards trolls (and lusus) who take, touch, or use his things without his express permission. This also partially applies to things/tools he's repaired for others, often resulting in mild to major irritation when something he's fixed is brought back broken again.
Packrat/Hoarder: Hazmas enjoys putting stuff together with bits of odds and ends and tends to collect things that might be... useful. The problem is that he often collects more than he needs and never throws anything away unless it's ABSOLUTELY unusable. This has led to the near over-filling of his hive with what other trolls would consider "Trash". The only way he's been able to keep his hoarding in check is by making things that he and/or others find cool, pretty or useful. |

|| HIVE ||
Home: Hazmas and his Lusus, Machim, live in a relatively decent sized hive in the northern part of Chittentown. Inside, the walls are filled with hanging shelves and barrels made up of various materials found and made by the young troll. Inside them rests a plethora of odds, ends, nickknacks, and other materials waiting to be used. In the only clear space on the southernmost wall sits a desk complete with drawers and swivel chair. In its drawers rest stacks of blank paper, and drawings of possible future projects. Around the desk hang shelves filled with books, most of them notebooks filled with Hazmas's own gizmo ideas.
On the westward most wall stands a long table with several boxes of tools and unfinished gadgets on and under it. Around it are rows of shelves that come out a few feet from the wall and are filled with books, bottles, boxes, tools, among other unidentifiable "materials" of various compositions.
A little ways from the northern wall is Hazmas's recuperacoon and a plump nest of tattered fabric where his lusus sleeps. Last but not least is the east wall wherein rests two windows, each one on opposite sides of the hive entrance. Above and between the windows and door are several ropes of sealed hanging pots filled with opaque liquids that no one really knows what they are. |

|| LUSUS ||
Lusus: Protecting Hazmas is a large female ape, possibly a chimpanzee, with very broad wings. Dubbed Machim by her little troll, Machim is a very affectionate, protective and somewhat temperamental mother. With games and activities ranging from daily stretches, (in which she will pick Hazmas up by his limbs and hold him in positions that will stretch and strengthen his muscles) to her famed, "Pounce the Baby" in which she hides or becomes very still, choosing a moment when her young troll is at his least aware to pounce him or be pounced by him when she's become less than vigilant.
This has led to many a wrestling match and inadvertent injury to young Hazmas. However, when he's upset or hurt, Machim will stop the games and soothe him by stroking his head and combing his hair with her fingers. This is has led to Hazmas's habit of running his hand through his hair when he's stressed or upset. Hazmas will also, occasionally, groom Machim using various tools he's made for the task that still relax his lusus while grooming. It is this grooming that fostered Hazmas's need for organization and cleanliness. With Machim being so fastidious, it's only natural that Hazmas inherit the trait.
Aside from the games of "Pounce the Baby", Machim and Hazmas keep a pretty positive relationship where they both look after each other, groom each other and spend time together. Often, she'll keep young Hazmas close by building nests of his spare clothing and other scraps of cloth she can find. They speak with each other via a complex series of hoots, howls, screeches and growls and when traveling, Machim is actually large enough that she can carry young Hazmas on her back while flying, though she prefers to carry him with her hands and feet.

During and Bloodfest Hazmas has held an undimmed admiration for the Etsali and has done his best to follow in her footsteps by sharpening his "scavenging" skills. He spotted her briefly during the raid on the rebel's caverns, but hasn't seen her since.

Apparently not enough."Since their first meeting in that dingy alleyway, Hazmas has had little occasion to feel anything but disgust, reproach, abhorrence and general Bad Juju from the young purple blood. Having been the target of her antagonisms and the butt of many a joke, not to all the items she and others have pocketed from him. Only a few moments of sympathy and concern for her have speckled his very black relationship with Eridia, though nothing he'd actually act on.

You two have a feud don't you?"Hazmas encountered Lorata only twice, and both times were the chaos of the solving the mystery behind the death of the sea dweller, Epratt. The first time, he was accused of attempting to sabotage Lorata on Chiara's orders when in reality, Hazmas just wanted to question the now-late-Juggalo, Deburu Comedi. It was here that he discovered a deep feud between her and his new friend, Chiara, and ended up unwittingly caught in it himself. In truth, Hazmas really has nothing against the sea dweller, but would rather not get caught in the cross hairs in the bubbling battle between her and Chiara.
