Age: 20.
Appearance: Hip-length golden-blond hair, usually worn down in cities and in a ponytail or a braid in the wilderness. Gray-green eyes, which look brown unless very closely examined. 5' 4". Healthy weight but slightly curvy. Physically fit from living in a town with tree houses and rope ladders all her life. Slightly aquiline nose over well-shaped lips. Pale skin that has tanned just a shade or two since leaving home. Prefers practical clothes like shorts, walking shoes, and t-shirts when walking in the wilds, but loves to dress up when she reaches a city; she keeps a few dresses and impractical shoes in her PC, along with various winter clothes.
Personality: [Still in major development.] Since she was young, Rhei has been lost in her own world. She has adored nature as a whole and in its parts (a garden vs. a single flower, for example) since she could walk amidst it, and that has led to many explorative walks. Despite that, she always feels uneasy when she goes too far from home, and is now challenging herself by not allowing herself to become too complacent in any one place.
Aside from her wonder toward the world, Rhei is a very determined young woman. She has convictions that are so strong - especially about abuse - that she has ended friendships and more intimate relationships because of them. She feels everything very vividly and has a lot of subconscious empathy; if she picks up on others' immense stress, she has been known to become ill and depressed.
She's a rather cynical and critical thinker, turning rather harsh in some situations or when she's just speaking her mind.
Goals: Rhei wants to develop very close relationships with any pokemon she might befriend. She wants to walk all over Zatao in hope that time will heal her emotional wounds; she has declared that she will return home once she has visited everywhere on the map, to give herself and her family time to recover from everything they've been through. Her travelling is her exercise in relaxation, and she is determined not to think about her past while out and about. [These goals will develop further as she realizes what she wants to do beyond her immediate future.]
History: Rheiannon, who has been called Rhei since birth, hails from Fortree City, Hoenn. She's lived in a complex tree house all her life and is very fit from the daily exercise required in going to and fro.
Rhei is from a separated household. Her mother and father were in constant conflict and were dissatisfied with their marriage from her early childhood. After several temporary separations, their separation became permanent when Rhei was sixteen. Ensuing was a battle for possessions, custody of Rheia and her younger brother and sister, and last names. Rheia ended up with the last names of both her mother (Bennet) and her father (Fairchild); she hates how long her name has gotten, and so often shortens it to Bennet.
Though Rhei knew what it was to have a bond with a pokemon - her younger "sister" was a Kirlia who was deeply effected by their parents' split - she has never had one of her own. Even through her graduation and two years of higher-level education, Rhei stayed at home because she thought she was needed to hold what were now two families together.
In the end, holding the families together didn't work. Her sister, her mother's Kirlia, eventually lost herself in her room in an illusion of the whole family back together, and starved. While both families were hurt beyond words by this, Rhei's father was not allowed at the Kirlia's funeral, and that has caused a permanent rift between mother and father, worse than the one there before. They now refuse to communicate.
As Rhei got older, she and her brother learned to put up with their parents, and she was pressured into further education and staying at home so she could help both her parents when they needed it, since neither now had the full set of hands they once were used to. After being taken out of school every term for stress-related health issues, Rhei has given up, and is now set on one thing: becoming a traveler and a friend to pokemon.
Immediately after her mother's Kirlia died, Rhei decided to make good on a promise she had made with her friend Annette Black: explore Zatao together. Once she had extracted a promise from her parents to not touch any of her things, Rhei put the items she deemed necessary into her PC, and set out to find her first pokemon companion. She found a cruise that took her to Zatao, and found herself in Katarina, where she began looking for a pokemon to call her friend. She met a police officer named Osmond Willis, who directed her to the nearest Pokemon Center. [More as Off the Ocean Blue continues.]
While in Katarina, Rhei ran into her friend Annette Black, with whom she grew up in Fortree. Rhei caught her up on the family drama. [More as Fell Out of Fortree continues.]
Soon after arriving in Katarina and while spending time with the trainers in the Pokemon Center, Rhei heard rumors of a pokemon who could grant immortality who had been spotted in the Zatao Grasslands. Curious and hoping to catch a pokemon on the way, Rhei headed north. When she reached the grasslands, she found a gathering of trainers, and caught Rima, a Bellsprout. Rima has very little control over her instincts, and as such, vinewhipped her trainer. Rhei sought a healer and met Niko Lucas, with whom she will travel south to Motterossa. Annette Black: Friend from Fortree, met when they were kids in school together. Adventures included sneaking out of town to try to meet a Zigzagoon. Found each other again in Katarina after Annette spotted Rhei from inside a cafe soon after Rhei made it to the city. Met canonly for the first time in Fell Out of Fortree.
Magnolia Claus: Met during the Immortality Granter RP event. Rhei sees her as a friend, especially because of her Ralts, Asphodel, whom Rhei adores.

Rhei's last name, Bennet, is in honor of the Bennet family of Pride and Prejudice.
She has an inclination toward saying or thinking "sweet Arceus" when surprised.
Rhei maaay name her pokemon after classic book characters, but that hasn't been decided beyond Rima yet. (OoCly, of course.)
Rhei adores cute, lacy fashion.
Those who knew her in Hoenn before her parents' separation know her as Rheiannon Fairchild; her name has since lengthened, and in rebellion, she now goes by Rhei Bennet, having shortened both of them.
