These are the jobs your characters can choose to become in the Zatao region.

                  • Every character must choose a profession.
                  • Your character may have a max of two professions. For example, you could have a
"pokemon ranger" type character who has the professions of "officer" and "watcher."
Gym Leaders are the exception to this rule, as they are a tertiary specialization.
                  • Alongside a main profession, you can give minor titles such as "bicyclist" or "athlete."
                  • If you have two professions, you cannot apply one RP to both profession requirements
at the same time unless the thread is over 60 posts, or is a metaplot event.
                  • You may count one solo RP for a profession’s RP requirement, except for watcher.
Watchers are limited to one solo per pokemon species that you own.
All solos must be over 500 words and of decent quality to count.
                  • Each RP must be at LEAST 15 posts long. Each post must be at least 2 sentences long.
                  • If needed, your character may change their profession after a period of two months
through the correct forms in the character registration thread.

Trainer
First stage: Trainers have some interest in battling and seek to collect gym badges that serve as a mark of their skill. There can also be more casual trainers that just seek to go on a journey to become stronger with no set goal. Trainers are free to battle gyms as well as enter contests.

                          Advantages: N/A
                          Disadvantages: N/A

Ace Trainer
Second stage: Ace Trainers are trainers that have conquered at least three gyms, and are considered to be among the best.

                      Unlock by:
                      • Earning three different gym badges.

Advantages: In battles and roleplay event battles, once per battle, an Ace Trainer can try to make their pokemon's attack hit where it hurts. After rolling a successful attack that was not critical, you may randomize 1-2. On a 2, the attack becomes critical. If you fail the roll, you may try again for your next attack.
                          Disadvantages: N/A

Coordinator
First stage: Coordinators appreciate the beauty and poise pokemon possess and look to refine these
traits in their own pokemon. While some coordinators devote a majority of their time to contests, there are coordinators that pursue their interests in beauty much more casually.

                          Advantages: N/A
                          Disadvantages: N/A

First stage: Breeders aspire to bring out certain traits in specific species of pokemon. Most breeders
are specialized and stay in a ranch, but some have been known to travel as well. Breeders are also allowed to participate
                      in gym challenges/contests.

                      • Breeding a pokemon to the third generation and have at least 1 shiny dominant, or color variation dominant offspring. Your breeder does not need to own the shiny or color variation offspring for credit. Your breeder has to own the first, second, and third generations of the pokemon for promotion.

                          • During breedings, Accredited Breeders get an additional raffle ticket.
                          Disadvantages:

Healer
First stage: Healers are characters with a rudimentary knowledge of first aid. They are valuable
resources to injured humans and pokemon who are traveling with no pokemon center in sight.

Advantages: Special role in RP events where you can heal others. Additional rules posted when your assistance is required.
                      Disadvantages: N/A

Pokemon Veterinarian
Second stage: Pokemon Veterinarians are healers who have honed their skills to the point that people now
seek YOU out! Pokemon, both wild and domestic, feel slightly more at ease with you because your good deeds
have granted you a calming aura.

                      Unlock by:
                      • 15+ RPs in which you help a human/pokemon with your medical skills

                          Advantages:
                          • Special role in RP events where you can heal others. Additional rules posted when your assistance is required
                          • Due to your knowledge of healing remedies, in battles and roleplay event battles, once per battle, you may roll to cure your pokemon of an ongoing status effect. Before your turn, you may roll a 4 sided die. On a 4, you remove the status and can attack as normal. If you fail the roll, you may try again next turn.
                          Disadvantages: N/A

Watcher
First stage: A watcher is a pokemon lover that generally enjoys spotting both wild and tame pokemon. Some watchers may also choose to observe and study pokemon characteristics.

                          Advantages: N/A
                          Disadvantages: N/A

Pokemon Researcher
Second stage: A long-time watcher has enough expertise to be called a pokemon researcher. These professionals have a large base of knowledge about many different pokemon and are acknowledged as experts in their field.

                      Unlock by:
                      • RP and interact with 50 different pokemon species and at least 1 legendary (event RPs do not count). An interaction counts as being in a RP, or a battle with Pokemon being observed for at least 5 posts long (by you). Battles and RPs need to have at least 2 sentences minimum per post. If there are multiple Pokemon, each different species needs to be observed for 5 posts long, for example, in a RP with 2 Pokemon being observed, you will need to make 5 posts about each Pokemon you are watching. Your own Pokemon do not automatically count for the requirement, but you may write a solo RP (minimum 500 words) with the Pokemon for it to count.

                          Advantages:
                          • Because researchers spend so much time spotting pokemon, they have an increased chance of finding a particularly interesting one. In raffle customs, researchers can get one additional raffle ticket.
                          Disadvantages: N/A

                          Advantages:
                          • May discover hidden areas in Roleplay Events that other might overlook.
                          • In battles, an adventurer's pokemon is not affected by the field disadvantages. For example, if you were fighting in a field that reduced electric type damage, your pokemon would not be hampered.
                          Disadvantages: N/A
