The grass around her rustled in the breeze, swaying and fluttering against Rhei's fingers as she trekked through it. Her arm was beginning to feel warm and sticky under the white cloth of her bandage, and the stain that had been the size of her fingertip before had grown to the size of a Cheri Berry. I didn't think it was so deep. She was worried now - if it was severe, there were all kinds of horror stories that could manifest, the least of which was an infection; there was no telling what kind of creatures would be attracted to the scent of blood.
Shivering and trying to tamp down the worst case scenarios playing on a loop in her mind, Rhei finally found herself in shorter grass. Up ahead was a tall tree, and moments later, she realized that she had simply gone in a circle all the way around the little clearing where the Bellsprout and the Dunsparce had battled. "Sprout," said Rima, and Rhei nodded.
"I need to get out of my head and pay attention to where I'm going, I know," she said, though if that was what the Grass-type had meant, Rhei wasn't actually certain. Sighing, she made for the tree and saw a few trainers lingering around it. If they ignored her, she could probably just scale the trunk and hike her way out of these directionless fields once she had some perspective. She was a native of Fortree, after all, and that might actually come in handy, for once, rather than making her just another weird treehugger or something.
When she reached the trunk, having cleared most of the trainers, Rhei looked up. Out here in the grasslands, the trees were squat and scarce, but this one was the highest vantage point she was likely to find. With luck, she would be able to track down Niko and figure out what she should do next, at least for medical care.
Running her fingers across the rough bark of the trunk, Rhei circled the tree - and just about plowed into just the guy she'd been looking for. On her shoulder, Rima let out a sound that was barely more than a squeak, pulling her leaves to where her chest would be in surprise.
