A mysterious rumor is what helped find Ann Valentine on this mission. Her, being the ace investigator she calls herself, had heard the rumors of immortality hiding in these grass lands. She could not hide her investigator curiosity and had to see for herself. With a parasol in hand and flats on her feet she strolled into the area that people had talked about. She heard the screech in the distance and hurried over the large group of people. But.... she appeared to be a little late, or as she would like to put it fashionably late. The noise was just a bellsprout but Ann could catch it! She has not had a pokemon partner in a while and a bellsprout would be perfect for catching crime. Sure it wasn't a legendary pokemon granting immortality but what would a police officer want with a legendery anyway. She grabbed onto her big hat with her left hand and threw a pokeball with her right. Pokeball go!

At the sound of the scream, Pheonix pulled Emalthya into his forearms, ready to lift away in case of danger.
"It's just a hysterical girl scream," said Emalthya calmingly, but she didn't try and get loose. Pheonix would release her when he felt safe to do so.
When he heard that someone had simply touched the screaming human, he felt a physical relief. He had been excited to come and see this new pokemon, but he hadn't really thought it might be dangerous. He would have to keep on his guard. Don't lose your trainer. He remembered Golem and Hitmonchan, but he couldn't remember which of them said the words. He did remember the horrible sound the old Arcanine made, that piteous, hopeful sound full of hesitant affection. He did not ever want to be like that.
"Look at all the pokemon!" said Emalthya excitedly, shifting almost free from Pheonix's loosened grip. "Look, there's a ralts on someone's head and... is that... oh it's a zigzagoon, I thought it was a grungy furrett for a sec. There's a growlithe, he seems happy. And that eevee! I love how they move so well in this kind of environment, like they're swimming!"
Pheonix looked down at the heavy depressions of his footprints. He did not move well in this environment. But he could fly away and the air was his environment. He doubted any cute little sinuous pokemon would do well in the air, so he didn't mind if he was a bit clumsy in tall grass.

One person threw a pokeball, and the bellsprout was sucked into it with a flash of red light. A small click sounded from the grass a short time later. A few hundred feet further into the grass, another rustling motion was seen by the gathered people. Could it be the Immortality Granter, or was it just- Another bellsprout. Yep. Qixel sorry to post before your reply, just didn't want to get behind in the prompts!
Eyeing Hatch and his Meowth, seeing that Zhira was confident and striding with pride like before. Honestly, he needed to introduce the feline to Fountanne. Surely they'd get on really well with each other. He watched as the cat turned his attention to Flua, not surprised that the Water type was absolutely thrilled to make a new acquaintance.
As Hatch made his way over Mako nodded to him in acknowledgement, "It seems so. He's as lively as ever, I see." the fellow teen commented, looking between the two Pokemon now interacting with one another. "So you've heard the rumors going on then too, hm?" he inquired to Hatch.
Flua had lowered his large head to get at Zhira's level, the long tresses at the sides of his head gently resting on the grass, cooing a soft curious cry to the fluffy Pokemon. The end of his face wriggled as if to imitate sniffing in return, before playfully bumping his nose against Zhira's... with great care, blue eyes squinting again with that little smile again.
But Mako's attention veered at the annoying scream that sounded out, visibly wincing slightly from the unpleasant screech, before whipping his head to see what was the cause. Soon enough he spied the Bellsprout all running about, brows raising before frowning, "What in the heck is going on..." he muttered.

Gritting her teeth as another Bellsprout appeared, Rhei crossed her arms. Her resolve was weakening as she argued with herself. After all, she didn't need to battle with the pokemon, if she caught it - it could simply be her companion. And she didn't have to keep whatever moves it had now; she could buy technical machines for it, or teach it different moves when it leveled up. If she was honest with herself, Rhei knew that they were elegant, too, and she shouldn't let the first non-trainer-owned pokemon she had seen just get away unattempted.
Sighing, Rhei turned to the girls beside her. "I'll be right back," she said, and made her way toward the grass that the Bellsprout had popped out of. After a few moments of hiking into the grass, she pressed the button on her pokeball again, and lobbed it at the Bellsprout.Pokeball go!

"I, for a fact, am quite intrigued by this small gathering of trainers and pokemon," he told her. "It makes me wonder if Team Rocket would interfere with our exploration.." He turned his head as he heard the commotion. One, no two Bellsprouts sprang into view. The first one captured by someone and the second one was still trolling strolling about in the grassy patches. "Look!" he shouted, pointing to the yellow and green figure in the distance where there was a small crowding of trainers already. "It's a Bellsprout!" His optimistic mood never once dropped. "Isn't it beautiful?" Niko was excited but his pokemon, however, just nodded but quickly became uninterested as he flapped his wings and flew circles around its trainer wanting his attention.

Mahogany Sunset Congratulations on the third bellsprout! :3 You may either take it to the certing thread, or wait until the end of the event if you wish to trade or gift it.
The third bellsprout was captured as well, and one could almost feel the first staring daggers at the gathered trainers from further into the grasslands. A rustle in the grass signaled another pokemon. Surprise surprise, another bellsprout!

 Jem loved watching people. She loved just wandering through crowds and catching snibits of conversation and seeing all the different ways humans could look and act.
She loved traveling more though, so she didn't get this kind of opportunity to imerse herself in humanity very often and she was making the most of it.
When the scream rang out, Sammy jumped to attention on her trainer's shoulders. Standing as tall as she could, the pikachu looked all around them for danger.
"Oh look, Bellsprout!" Jem said as the little tulip colored pokemon started popping up.
"Piika." Sammy lowered herself as she spotted them, though she didn't really relax. They weren't powerful, but she wasn't very good against grass types so it would be prudent to stay alert.
Jem saw the third one and said "Hehe, banana." to herself with quiet myrth.

Becka was almost feeling sorry for the first Bellsprout now that they were popping up all over and getting caught. Raven had calmed down by now, getting used to the leaping out of the bellsprout.

Gormlaith nodded her head agreeing with Jorge's opinion that an experiment sounded scary. It was scary to think that there was a scientist that incompetent to allow an experiment to escape... even if it was just a rumor. "That does sound much more believable. And it makes you wonder what psychic pokemon it might be. Perhaps something like that Mew I saw floating around when I got here." Oh yes she had seen the Mew and would love to get a chance to perform tests on one but she wasn't that skilled at stealing pokemon. Before she could say anything else she heard a scream and looked around shocked. What was going on?! She then saw a Bellsprout pop it's head up and then another. They were quickly captured leaving behind another one to appear. "Oh so pretty! If only I wasn't so keen on working with my current pokemon I might try for it..." A lie for sure. Gormlaith was only interested in ice types and she already had more pokemon that weren't ice types than those that were. ((Sorry about the delay on replying. Ended up getting stuck with dishes))

 Bellsprouts were popping up left and right, however they were not the pokemon that Zephar had come here to capture. Sighing he decided to let his Scizor take care of them. Moving to the side once more he released Scyja, the Scizor emerged a mischievous glint in its eyes. Seeing all the pokemon around that he could fight excited him. "Scyja we seem to have a bit of a bellsprout population in the area. Could you possible get rid of them for me, have some fun while your at it."Scyja withdrew his wings, making him sleeker. His pincers opened and shut in reply to his master's orders. With in a flash the scizor was gone, its speed quite something. Swinging its right pincer it aimed to make contact with four bellsprout's head. (Zephar was getting quite bored anyways XD)

Rhei's hand went to her mouth in surprise as her pokeball not only hit its mark, but shot a jet of red light at the Bellsprout and sucked it in. It dropped the ground wiggling, a red light illuminating the button, and all at once, it stopped. The red light dimmed, and Rhei's eyes widened. Sweet Arceus, I caught it. Walking gingerly over to the pokeball, she picked it up with both hands. For moment, Rhei just stared at it, held in her palms. My first pokemon. A grass type was probably appropriate, considering her home town. And someday, it might just be big enough to eat her.
Making a mental note to read up on the general natures of Bellsprout and its stages when she got back to her books and pack in the Pokemon Center, Rhei headed back over to the pair of girls she had been speaking with. "I guess I just found my first companion," she said with a little laugh. She held up the pokeball for their examination, wiping a smudge of dirt off the shiny surface. "Is there anything special to do now?"

The bellsprout moved out of the way in a way that only one without a spine can, contorting it's body to narrowly dodge the scizor's strike before shaking the roots just above it's 'legs' suggestively at it's assailant.

 The world around her spiraled downward in the canverous maw of Bellsprout popping out of the grasses like live weeds searching for a feast. Magnolia shirked back at the sight of them—not out of fear for what they were, but from the possibility they were hostile and looking for a battle. Her first encounter with the territorial Pokemon had worked out in her favor (it was that very day Altais saved her from a pack of Mightyena), but she wasn't willing to contest that time again, especially when her only partner was a Pokemon that didn't listen to her much. When Rhei excused herself from their company, the lavender-haired girl nodded her head and silently watched her go; bidding her good luck mentally.
When the blonde returned successful with a catch—a red and white orb held between her palms—Magnolia yipped in glee and clasped her fingers together in joy. Asphodel, upon her head, mimicked her gesture; the sudden excitement emphatically felt through the Psychic-type and expressed against her will. She grimaced a bit when the annoyance of the Mew made itself known again and she lowered herself back to Magnolia's head, clutching onto the top of it firmly.
"You should get to know it," Magnolia said to Rhei. "Maybe see how friendly it is? Talk with it a bit and maybe come up with a nickname that it likes?"

The sizcor countered with another strike this time from the left. At the same time his right pincer opened hoping to catch the slippery little bugger in his claws.
