The Katarina Gym
Gym Leader: Lyle Cricket (mewrose)
Gym Leader Challenge Status: Open
Pokemon Owned: Spinel (Sableye, 1150 HP), Hematite (Gengar, 1150 HP), Comet (Floatzel, 1150 HP), Tetania (Quilava, 1000 HP), Jade (Flygon, 1050 HP), Jasper (Zebstrika, 1050 HP)
Pokemon available to borrow: Mica (Pidgey, 900 HP)
The gym is a simple structure, little more than a large stadium with the words "Katarina Gym" printed large above the front double doors. In addition to the battlefield, it has with built-in waiting rooms for trainers preparing for a battle, and an administration office. Next to the Gym is a smaller one-floor building where the Gym leader and gym trainers live. Behind that is a roughly acre-large grassy patch where pokemon and trainers can exercise and train.
Requirements to Challenge This Gym
*The minimum number of pokemon I will use in a battle will be three. So if you really want, you can use one pokemon to battle three of mine even if that will make it pretty hard for you to win.
The maximum number of pokemon I will use in a battle will be the number of pokemon in your party if and only if your party has more than three members. So if you use four pokemon, I will use four pokemon as well.
*Defeat, in separate official gym challenge battles, any two gym assistants. These wins do not have to be consecutive. You do not have to start over if you lose a battle; once you defeat an assistant Pokemon, you have fulfilled that portion of the requirement. You keep that win even if you lose your next match. After defeating two assistants, you may challenge the gym leader.
Defeating a gym assistant in any situation other than an official challenge battle at the Motterossa Gym does not count towards the required win to challenge Lyle.
Please note that if you DO challenge with ANY official Katarina Gym Battles (including ones with assistants), you MUST keep replying within a week or else YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. That means if one person has made a post and you haven't replied to the match, you lose! But, if there are any problems ie: you suddenly have to go on vacation, send a PM to your opponent, work it out, and leave a note in the thread so you won't get disqualified please. If the assistant is disqualified for non-response, please re-apply to challenge another assistant. Assistant disqualifications do not count as the win needed to challenge Lyle.
The Troll Badge

(badge art drawn by Oreo Dreamer)
The Troll Badge gives any one pokemon of your choice an additional 50 HP in battle (just post it during the thread set up). It can be switched between any of your pokemon.
Borrowing pokemon
Lyle has a spare pokemon that anyone may borrow if they wish to practive battling. This includes his gym trainers, if they only have one pokemon and wish to practice double battles, or people of trainer age who do not have a pokemon of their own but would like to battle. Lyle will gladly teach people how to battle by battling against them in a training match, if they request it. Defeating him in such a training match will not earn the challenger a Gym Badge, since it is not an official Gym challenge.
