Canyon Field: The canyon walls towers high towards the ceiling while the ground sinks downwards several levels, making the top and bottom of the field very difficult to see without special equipment. The cliff faces are very steep with little ridge support for grabbing and climbing; on top of that, the rock faces are very damp which makes grabbing and holding on very difficult. A few skinny trees and roots jut out from the cliff and allow smaller, nimbler pokemon to grab and swing around. At the very bottom of the canyon’s long drop is a deep pool of water. Keeping up is difficult for trainers on this particular battlefield, so stadium officials have set up a special view screen on each of the trainer platforms. A mini camera will follow your pokemon around while it battles (of course, it’s programmed to back off when a pokemon does an attack) and the view screen will enable trainers to issue commands to their companions via microphone. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FLYING and ROCK type attacks

Zak waited in the stadium for his opponent to arrive. Zeke his charizard, and the pokemon he would be using in this match was already out and making his rounds of the stadium getting use to the cliffs of the canyon. It would be challenging to battle in this place, but not impossible.

Lenore entered the stadum with Nelis'viel at her side. Teleporting to the canyon below, Nel curtsied before the charizard.

Lenore called out a command to the gardevoir. "Nel, use thunderbolt!" The gardevoir nodded and pointed at the charizard, sending a bolt of lightning arcing at the flying type.

"Careful Zeke" Zak called out to the Charizard. "Dive down and use Steel Wing"
Zeke was hit with the attack, however despite how much damage he took from it, he wasn't about to give up yet. Taking Zak's 'advice' the charizard dove down, his wings hardening.

Nel was hit by the steel-like wing, and she tumbled backwards before firing another arcing blast of electricity at the charizard, her tattered dress swaying as she righted herself near the edge of the canyon.

It was up to Zeke now as the charizard dove further into the Canyon. He would input in if needed to but Zak would the Charizard's judgement in this battle.
Zeke tried to dodge the electric attack, but wasn't able to. Flapping his wings hard he created a slice of air and sent it toward the Gardevoir.

The wind cut Nel's dress, and she stumbled backwards from the edge of the canyon. Regaining her composure, she spotted the charizard and loosed a wave of electricity in its direction.

After being hit once again by the electric attack. His wings slowed, causing his movements to become slower. Still he brought up the strength to attack once more using air currents.

Zeke's wing beats were slowing but he wasn't about to give up. His wings hardened and he dropped down to attack the other pokemon.
