I had a dream... A crazy vision... It may sound strange...
This intuition... but it was truth... Beyond description...
And somehow I knew that it was real...
Introduction:
Welcome to my SOA-index. I'm a horrid bunny who can't stop getting these wonderful characters, so I finally decided to make one giant multi-page blog for each of them and any I get in the future! Below is a list of them and what pages they can be found on. Eventually I'll have a "T.O.C." up for each page as well. For now, heavy construction time!
1.] Introduction
2.] Encounters
3.] Journey Log
4.] Quickfacts
Ujuzi]. 1: One Voice
- Ujuzi is... unique in the eyes of most normal wilddogs. She gives off a very anti-social air about her, not much caring for idle banter. She does enjoy a good verbal spar, but for the most part keeps to herself and avoids others, particularly ones of the opposite sex.
She was born into a large litter of pups to her mother and many older siblings. Their family, though short one parent, was a happy one. Reaching in the late years of adolescence she opted to leave home and strike out her own. Since then Ujuzi has run into Haiji and Dhati. Now the three of them, joined by Mataka, set out to recreate the Hamaji.
Nukta]. 2: It's Easier to Run
- Nukta is not without his share of pain. His family are actually disbanded members of the Ushirkino Watembazaji pride and the Mistweaver clan, but he and his brother were never informed of this. His parents wanted a peaceful place to raise their firstborn cubs, away from the plains where their band of lions had formed, and so sought out a place to call their own at the base of an old Acacia tree.
For a long while after the cubs were born all was well, they were named by the order in which they'd been born, Nukta being "second". Two boys, brothers, and as Nukta and his brother grew so did their love of adventure. They couldn't be under their parent's watchful eye all of the time, as the adults sometimes did drift off to sleep off the hot hours of the day. It was during one of these little excursions that Nukta and his brother came by an injured hyena. Having never seen one of the creatures before they knew not what to make of it, but as they spied on the beast from what should have been a safe distance their subject suddenly caught wind of their inexperienced stalking attempts.
Nukta's brother told Nukta to get their parents while he attempted to lure the Hyena away, but Nukta did not have his brother's bravery. He was paralyzed on the spot and watched helplessly as his brother was immediately overcome and killed.
After this Nukta ran away, too ashamed and horrified by his own cowardice to return to his parents, fearing their anger and disappointment. He wandered for days on end heading absently South, always South, sometimes South-West. It was his first night in the Elephant graveyard where he met Adanna, and things finally began on the road to forgiveness.

Sauda]. 9: At the Beginning
- Sauda has not had the most plesant of childhood experiences. She was born to her mother, a spoiled female of a cheetah. The spotted bundle also had two littermates, a younger sister and a younger brother, but her mother only ever seemed to care for the boy. After having mated with a rogue, Viola, Sauda's mother, tried to trick him into staying with her by claiming that she was pregnant, but the truth of the matter was that Viola had fallen in love with him and feared rejection of those feelings. She was used to weaving such lies to get her way throughout life, so you can imagine her appauled shock when the male simply informed her that if it were true, she was on her own, and left...
This did not bode well for Viola and the new life growing inside of her. Her coallition banished her from the clan after learning that she had gone against her parent's wishes to be with the trouble making male. She was now on her own to try raising three kits.
Viola quickly became bitter after the children were born, and it was barely long enough for them to be weened before she abandoned the first, Ezeka, leaving her to simply die on her own in the desert-like stretch of dead Savanna. Sauda was next, whom Viola chased off with teeth and claws. Since then Sauda has been wandering alone, barely surviving at first, but determined to continue on and find their father, hoping to meet him someday...
She has since then birthed a small litter of two with her mate, Bato. The two are living as rogues for the time being.
