Pure Blood Leaf
Female
Hopes to Become a Swordmaster or Asassin
Personality Traits: Outgoing, Brash, Fearless

She will not hesitate to try and make new friends in a new place, she likes to wander around and check out all the interesting things in the surrounding area before getting into the heart of the area. Its a precaution but also a treasured part of her day, reading the signs like a morning newspaper. Tracks here, scat there, ooh I didn't know that plant grew here! That is the time when she is at her calmest, sometimes she will venture outside her home in the early morning and do the same thing.
Sometimes she meets others out and about and can get some one on one time with them when most others are quiet.

She really likes flowers for some reason and is usually overly happy when she finds a meadow full. She will stay for hours and roll about, seeing how many different kinds she can root out. She always has to stay busy and hates being still for the most part, she is impatient most of the time.

If faced with a challenge due to her impatience and brashness she will jump all in and all out. None of that silly look before you leap nonesense that others are so fond of. If you truly believe in yourself you can usually pull off whatever you set your mind to. Iroia has little to no sense of fear. She may be cautious occasionally if the opponent seems to be able to flatten her but is almost never afraid. The one thing that gets her goat is her moderate aversion to heights, if she practices she will get better but definitely prefers firm soil under her feet to running around in the trees. She adores fights, battles, skirmishes, arm wrestles ect almost all types of combat and challenging confrontations. She dislikes bows and arrows, believing that long range weaponry of that caliber is kind of like cheating. She likes tossing knives once in a while, at least you have to be somewhat close to your opponent for those instead of cowering forty yards away behind a stick and string.

History: Iroia was born to a very outgoing, scarred father and a absolutley lethal mother, they raised her to be fearless and fair. To go all out when challenged to a fair fight, holding stuff back, unless strategically would only risk her in a fair fight they said, if you loose and haven't given your all then you never know if you could win. This meant that her training sessions as a kid were harsh leaving her melting into a little puddle after they were done. Her parents always encouraged and only rarely chastised. Making her very comfortable with her chosen path and ready to take on the world with a wink and a challenge. She remains very close to them, her father a gruff but adoring man whos victories are counted by the multitude of scars littering his skin, he teaches her strength training and wrestling. Her mother always said that if you can escape your father in a wrestling match you can escape almost anyone. Her Mother teaches flexibily, silence and the way of the double swords as a revered assasin. Both her parents still practice their art but only go into active fighting for a laugh now.

Iroia still doesn't know which of the two sword professions she will choose to pursue, but is leaning toward two swords at the moment. All she really knows in her heart soul and marrow is there will be swords! She loves them all shapes and sizes, she cleans her families collection for fun and as she does goes over the facts of every sword. Name, use, abilities. Heaven forbid she manage to find one of the weapon shops she can stare for hours.

Well truth be told they started her training to keep her safe as she constantly wanted to steal and play with their weapons. She played when she felt like it, but that wasn't often and when it was it often involved her running with the boys and playfighting with sticks. So they trained her so that she could start to learn to respect the weapons and perhaps get enough of her thirst slaked for weaponry in a day to play normally with her little hoard of friends. She really needed energy burned of when she was young to mellow herself out while around others. She loves being covered in sweat not quite as fond of the dirt as she gets it in her mouth and that drives her a little more batty. But a day is all the brighter after morning training, and this extra excersize lets her mellow out later in the day, especially before bed, to her parents relief.

Her parents encouraged her to explore on weekends after training. She would go out willingly and enjoy herself but the weeks she really put all her effort into the morning training. She adores her parents as they helped balance her younger life.

Her Ladyship's Garden
Solo 001

Iroia placed herself in the very center of a natural meadow. This was her calm, peaceful place, where all the energy she used for training, usually a fast torrent, slowed to a more natural rythym. Here she was one with the earth, with the wind. Here she could slow down her thoughts and think clearly and deeply. The wind ruffled the grass and a few stalks brushed her face, a vegetative welcome.

Iroia inhaled slowly, her mind sorting leisurely through the cadences of scent inherent in this environment. After grounding herself within her area she started to slowly recall the strengths and weaknesses of her training performance. Not blocking herself properly, good speed, weak stance with her left foot not being where it was supposed to be. Such things she needed to consider and try to remember to incorporate into her next session. She stroked a grass leaf as she thought. A slender reed with the image of outer rigidity but bent with the blowing breeze, a good swordsman, straight and tall.

She eventually got curious about the rest of the meadow and began to walk around, picking plants to look closer at. She would crouch right down and look at the interesting seed casings, the flowers, pop open a few of the pods, steal some seeds to try growing at home, simply for the fun of it and to learn more about the world around her.

This was her happy place and she didn't like when people intruded upon her while she was hear. Lucky for civilians none came to interupt her reverie and she returned home refreshed and calmer then usual. Which her parents were always grateful to see. She had not been the easiest child to raise but had kept them fit and on their toes. This was the risk two warriors ran when they reproduced, all the energy that kept them alive, intensifying in their offspring. She had gotten a double dose of warrior blood and now had to eat like a mammu to keep up with her energy burning.

In the Leaf Litter
Solo 002

Iroia craweled through the bushes of jahaur, perhaps not he smartest thing to do in a forest full of hungry, toothy things, but this was in her opinion the best way to track things. Hopping about in the trees was safe yes, but so much was lost by being so far from the earth, from the ground, from the ...tracks!

Big beetle tracks in the uncovered loam of the forest floor where the huge bug hunted ant larvae. they had beetles like this where she was from, but here their shells were dark and light blue, streaked together whereas in the savannah they were matte brown and dwelled in the grass. Iroia licked her lips, beetle meat was very sweet.

She scuttled after the bug, mindlessly following the track but snapping to attention when the forest areas changed and scanned for potential predators dwelling along the borders where two areas met, she was especially careful when entering riparian areas. Humanoids were not the only creatures who liked water.

Something tingled down her spine and she got away from there. Hopping into the trees and travelling in a semi circle then hopping down to again pick up the trail. With relief she found it again, she had hoped that the buf was not back with whatever creepy creature had scared her from the water. But here were the tracks, so she followed them.

She found some fresh scat. She was getting very close. her face peeked through a bush and startled the beetle. Fast as lightning she pounced the bug, there was a scuffle, leaves flying and gouges carved into the rich loam of the earth, but in the end she managed to get it flipped over on its shell, legs flailing. When it tried to open its wing case to attempt to fly or flip itself back over she reached out and ripped the fine looking membrane of one of the wings.

Wiggling out from under it she got a net out and wrapped it around the bug before dispatching it and tying a rope to her prize. She pulled it up into the trees. Just because she hunted down among the fangy beasts did not mean that she was stupid enough to eat down there too. With all the noise she had made she had no doubt that the monster by the water would be here soon enough. She settled her bug in a branch and started to eat. There were much better tasting fresh then dried.

As she ate, her mind wandered to before the war, to her sparr with Ruelash. It was so refreshing to meet a friendly stranger and spar right of the bat instead of the treatment her village friends usually gave her. They rolled their eyes at her posturing and skittered away, wishing to avoid the bruises no doubt..sissies. They were much like the beetle she had caught, mindless, boring and easy to defeat. Ruelash on the other hand, saw her for what she was, a fighter, not a rabid child.

She felt accepted and respected, he didn't hold back and neither did she. That was the only way to truly test one's strength. They were not viciously trying to tear each other apart but were expecting the other to be canny enough to evade the sharp blows. The experience was scary and exciting a do or die moment. The fact that he left his guard down right in the middle of it when he got distracted was just icing on the cake...er bug. She smiled smugly and finished her meal, pulling the pretty wing cases off to trade later.

As she glanced down she saw another beetle scuttle by. She thought she would do some more beetle hunting. Since she had stayed in Jahaur for a while, she wanted to reciprocate their generousity, even if it was in a war tainted time. Perhaps co-operation was even more important in times like these.

She scrambled down the tree and persued the beetle. At the end of the day she plonked her fourth beetle into an improvised pen in the middle of the village where they had all retreated to.
