Likes: The sun and sand, heat, and exploring new places. Jiji loves an adventure - a challenge - anything to get his heart pumping, his talons itching, and his nostrils flaring. He loves climbing and, when he grows strong enough, flying. He's also fascinated by Magescians despite his parents' multiple embittered tales of caution and distaste about them.
Dislikes: The cold, getting sand in his eyes, being told he can't do something, and injustice - or what he perceives as such. Jiji has a will of his own and exercises it passionately; he takes "can'ts" and "don'ts" in life and turn them into "cans" and "just dids" because he sees no reason to let his life be held back by the nets and prejudices others have built up in the world long before he was even born into it.
Fears: Dying before he accomplishes anything. Being forgotten. Living his whole life without ever leaving a mark on the world. Jiji fears fading obscurity and being 'meaningless' in the grand scheme of things and works hard to make sure this doesn't happen.
Life Goals: Make a difference; make an impact; start a legend. Jiji's dream is to grow into something grand enough to be worth telling stories about. He wants to leave footprints in the metaphorical sands of time so deep that no great wind will ever be fierce enough to wipe them fully away. He fully believes in the motto: "You die twice: once when your last breath leaves your body, and again the last time someone speaks your name." He wants his name to be breathed on the tongues of people he never met because he died before they were born and yet his legacy is living on.
Oddities/Catch Phrases: "I'll be a legend one day." Jiji isn't sure what he's going to be legendary
for but he knows absolutely that he wants to do something worthy of making history.
Strengths: Jiji is headstrong, passionate, and fearless. He's also hopelessly curious, charismatic, and fun-loving. He loves meeting new people, making new friends, trying new things, and
adores being the center of attention. He's good at thinking on his feet and encouraging a crowd of uncertain minds that a given idea/task/course of action really
is a good plan and they ought to all do it together.
Weaknesses: Jiji has a very hard time knowing when to give up, even when the cause is pointless; he's poor at losing arguments, and has a tendency to cling stubbornly to his own position even after learning that he's wrong. He
hates to admit that he's wrong, and holds grudges far longer than merited. Because he's impatient and headstrong, he can often leap into situations prematurely without thinking them all the way through, sometimes getting himself and even others into real trouble in the process.
Jiji has a very hard time seeing other people's points of view. When he has no personal opinion, he's very open-minded, but once he gets his mind set on something, he tends to hold firmly to a "my way or the highway" attitude. He can also be slightly full of himself - this isn't intentional, per se, he just has a very exuberantly positive attitude about himself, and this sometimes comes off as, "I'm so awesome - look at me!" which can get a tad irritating after a while.
