Though only an estimation, the original time frame set forth by the P.P.S. for movement into the second phase of relief delivery came and went, finding many trolls still without proper aid. Blame was cast with quick and unbending certainty upon members of the growing opposition, the looters who had flocked from all over New Hemisect and far beyond for a chance at the riches the chaos could yield. With B.I.G.S.I.S. down and authority spread thin among the ailing disaster zone, apprehension of the criminals was few and far between. The brunt of the of the work in fending them off fell on the volunteer relief workers themselves.

With some effort, the P.P.S. and its volunteers pushed into the next phase, fanning out even further into the wreckage to find an unsurprising amount of unsavory characters, many of whom would be just as quick to point an accusatory finger at the trolls who believe themselves saviors of the weary city. In no time, hostility reached an unprecedented high.

Many looters, once cautious of the large groups of workers traveling together, were quick to notice great benefit in the new, smaller phase two teams found wandering the streets instead. Reports of attacks, both successful and not, are steadily increasing, and the violence between those of differing view is becoming more openly apparent and expected. Both sides face dangerous odds, however, as the beaten down city remains a treacherous terrain full of obstacles and pitfalls, many quite difficult to immediately catch.

Relief and looters alike seek to make their foothold known, and force now seems to be the key. Fights have sprung up on nearly every tattered corner, headed by older trolls, but supported by younger. Individual resources and alliances—strong or shaky, permanent or temporary—have taken a forefront in the race to the finish. The scales have yet to tip significantly in favor of either side, but with each troll who falls and each who stands victorious, New Hemisect becomes more acutely aware of just who holds the cards in the wake of this destruction.

The true battle begins now!

Battles Break-Out!

-------------

Two teens on opposite teams have been paired against one another for one-on-one battles. In case of left-over trolls, NPCs will be supplied. Teen trolls will fight to attain resource points for their “team”.

The winning troll will receive one resource point. A "kid resource" represents a boon of supplies or spoils, and counts as an extra resource point. At the end of the event, the points will be tallied – the team with the highest number of resource points will emerge victorious!

These two teens have also been assigned two kids on each respective team – these kids will serve as moral support and may have valuable resources to give to their respective teen. This is represented in a buffing mechanic that may occur at any time the kid posts (though taking place in the first post a kid makes would be the most advantageous for battle). The kids will both roll one 4-sided die (d4) to determine if their efforts leading up to this battle and during the battle will assist their respective battling teen.

Buffs are determined like so on a d4:
1: Nothing Happens
2, 3: Teen gains one auto-hit that the teen may use at any time. The teen may declare in his/her post that s/he is using the auto-hit, and will then roll ONE die, which determines damage.
4: The teen gains 3 HP. This effect is added at the beginning of the battle and is permanent, so a troll with 20 HP who gains this buff will have 23 HP until damaged.

Based upon the allegiance of the MVP kid of the ORP event, one team will get two kid buffs. This means that the team’s kids with the MVP bonus will roll 2 4-sided dice instead of one.

Example:
Super Testing Trolls Saepon and Sydusk want to fight!
Their kid trolls are Baby Sae and Baby Sy

Saepon and Baby Sae are on the MVP Team, so Baby Sae rolls 2 4-sided dice!
Baby Sae got a 2 and a 4! This means that Saepon has one auto-hit and has gained 3 HP.

Sydusk and Baby Sy are not on the MVP Team, so Baby Sy rolls 1 4-sided die!
Baby Sy got a 3! Sydusk also gains an auto-hit.

The trolls then proceed to fight as usual, until…

Saepon uses auto-hit! Saepon rolls 1 die because the damage is automatic.

And finally…

Sydusk emerges victorious! Sydusk did an excellent job in the ORP and was rewarded a kid resource. Sydusk gains 1 resource point, for a total of 2 resource points.
Saepon also did an excellent job in the ORP and was rewarded with a kid resource. Saepon retains 1 resource point.

Other Important Notes:

-Battles will take place the week of April 7th – April 21st!
-A troll’s HP must drop to “0" by April 21st in order for the battle to be considered complete. If you do not complete your battle, you will not receive Battle RP credit for your teen, and will not receive resource points for your team.
-Kid trolls are not necessarily tied to the trolls they have been matched with, and are free to spectate and RP in other battles after they have rolled their buffs for their respective teens.
