It was truly despicable that so many trolls were so appallingly disloyal to the crown. Dictys really could not believe it - helping the P.P.S. was the only way to recover New Hemisect City, and to help everyone out. Looting would only ever cause chaos - and certainly, the temporary gain from stealing supplies might be tempting. But it'd be nothing compared to the permanent loss of one of the largest cities in modern Alternia. (Dictys was probably being a little overdramatic. But only a little!) Trolls had jobs and lives here – sure, stealing might be fun for some people. And granted, there was quite a large amount of resources. But they were finite! Once trollkind ran out, it'd have to go somewhere else. And, sure, there was Chittentown and the Fronds and the old city, but none of them were this one, and spreading the selfishness could only lead to more problems.
No, there was nothing to gain from something so selfish. And, look – all those thoughtless looters had forced Dictys into this position. Supply delivery...how beneath em! If everyone had been working together as intended, Dictys would have been able to take eir rightful place organizing and directing trolls to optimize the use of their resources. There was absolutely no doubt in eir mind that ey had the skill and maturity to do so! But now – now, ey had to stumble pointlessly through the rubble of the earthquake, carrying things that were far heavier than they had any right to be.
In any case, eir delivery target was that troll ey'd seen with the B.I.G.S.I.S. monitors. Certainly...do-able, Dictys supposed. Talymn Vylius was at least someone ey'd seen helping out, so ey'd gladly provide supplies to them! And perhaps even stick around to see how...er, useful this guy could be.
Ey turned up eir nose as ey rounded the corner – and then realized that they'd almost missed seeing a very suspicious troll sporting a cape.
Well, ey had a job to do, but Dictys would find Talymn eventually. Right now it was more important to watch this – this redblooded landdweller. Ey certainly hadn't seen them at the relief station.
[!!! Talymn has gained two auto-hits! The roll is in the post below because I'm a dumbass.............' v ' ]

The little redblood stood tall guard upon her lusus, sitting on his caped shoulders. She looked nearly regal, her skirts billowing over the sides of the great ibex's back and obscuring her small shoes. It was a dusty, grim night. She was sure that trouble was afoot.
She'd elected to keep a sharp eye out for the relief, for the sake of the teen she'd come across earlier that night -- another redblood, and a handsome one at that! Carmen was sure her lusus was jealous -- she could feel it through his exquisite saddle. As she gazed upon the streets, her eyes began to grow bleary. Her little gloved hands loosened on the reigns, and she slumped forward, exhausted from two weeks of trying to get by.
Her hive had been destroyed. Looting was the least she could do to stay afloat. But, it was no matter. Ibexdad preferred the two to stay on the move anyway -- maybe it was back to Chittentown for a while. Carmen nearly dozed off, when suddenly a loud noise made her start.
"What was-- oh no! Mister Bolero, there's someone over--!"
There wasn't much she could do for the teen now -- she felt a stab of helplessness and guilt as her lusus reacted out of instinct to the sound of footsteps and her outburst. With a powerful stride he leapt soundly out of the way and down the block in an instant, grunting with irritated disdain.
"We've got to get back over there!" She pleaded. "I saw someone coming -- he might need our help!"

(Lawl, don't sweat it, Pope~ dramallama )
'...Stick close to the group, don't wander through the more dangerous areas and be on the look-out for looters, troublemakers, an' ne'er-do-wells....'
Right. Okay.
Now, pray tell, how we're supposed to spot these gritty roaches among the other unfortunate gritty roaches?
Trekking through the mess of rubble, the rocker troll valiantly kept his eyes peeled and ears open for any sort of trouble- intentional or otherwise despite his inclined cynicism. Afterall, that's what he was here for. Search and rescue. Might as well just hand him a wheelbarrow and a shovel while they're at it so that at least someone could start clearing away some of this debris. This was like prime real estate for sprained ankles and smaller annoying grievances, but whatever. He could deal with it. Or would have to either way should his luck challenge him like that.
Speaking of luck...
"Now what's this guy's thinkin', eh?" He muttered to himself as he spotted a lingering troll swathed in red hues rifling about about a block away. Slipping his keytar from off his back, he adjusted his mic volume to its full setting, with a little added bass. A little warning shout should be enough to get a runt of the spectrum like that in line, right?
"KRRRRIKOW!" He sounded off, the vibration of his voice and his keytar ringing explosively loud. Louder than even Talymn expected (Well at least the mechanic got that thing right...), which consequently ended up sending shockwaves to run straight through the precariously standing buildings, causing a minor landslide to come roaring down towards the red blood.
"... Oops."

When Torero had been allowed, and even joined by his lusus to scope out New Hemisect following the disaster, he had been hoping to run into his old friends again. It was a longshot, or at least he remembered only Aprife living there, but all the same he had been keeping his eyes peeled as he wandered the ruins atop his own not-as-majestic steed. It surprised him that Rocinante would actually want to bring him along, but he wasn't about to look a gift-unicorn in the mouth, so to speak, trying to be as obedient as possible to prolong their venturing. He could ditch the old nag as soon as he found his friends.
That had been the plan, anyway. Instead, Torero had run into a fellow redblood, a little fan he immediately adored, and maybe even Rocinante was won over because he begrudgingly allowed the two to chatter, wandering off with a snort sometime after introductions. Fine by him! His lusus had wanted to gather supplies for themselves, but as Torero traipsed about in the ruins, he'd made up his mind to help Carmen out. A knight was chivalrous, after all! and anyway it soothed his conscience a bit to think he was like a Troll Robin Hood. Stealing wasn't so bad if it was to help others, right?
Right! So, humming to himself, the redblood set to his not-dirty deed, although he hardly had a chance to find anything good until he heard a shout. Whipping around, his cape flapping wildly in a suitably dramatic fashion, Torero just caught Carmen fleeing with her lusus. Uh oh. It was the last thing he saw before an ear-splitting screech sounded, worse than the roar of any beast he'd fought in the ring, sending a barrage of debris down onto him as he yelped — okay, good thing Carmen wasn't around to see him fall like this, shielding himself as well as he could with the heavy red cloth on his arm.
His other arm went immediately to his banderilla, and as soon as the landslide stopped Torero sprung up onto his feet, into beastfighting mode, readying for a charge that wouldn't come because oh, it wasn't a lusus after all, but a troll as raggedy as a lowblood but that symbol's hue was unmistakable. Taken off-guard, he dropped his stance for a moment, looking around quickly for his lusus out of instinct because Rocin always insisted on doing the talking for him even if few trolls could understand his irritable neighing. For once, Torero felt his stomach sink at the absence of his overbearing lusus.
It was a pretty sad move, but one made out of uncertainty as Torero reached for a piece of rubble and chucked it, a better warning than whatever that cacophony was. "Stay back, I mean it...!" Ears still ringing, he couldn't even hear his own shout, but it undoubtedly sounded lame. He could only hope Rocinante was lurking nearby, hearing the signal that they had trouble here, bigtime.

Ohcrapohcrapohcrap, not good! Not good!
The point was to help dig others out, not bury more unsuspecting trolls. And so the highblood bolted forward, his keytar held low at his side to rush to the aide of the red if he needed it. Which apparently he didn't as a rock suddenly came careening towards his head. Immediately stalling to a skidded stop, Talymn swung his keytar forward to block the hit, but the momentum carried through to send the rock flying right back to its sender after making a sizeable dent in the Major's carapace.
"Really?! REALLY?!" Talymn growled, completely ignoring the red blood's warning as he flipped the Major in his hands to better inspect the new damage; a chip off the edge of the bottom keyboard, jamming two of the keys into the frame. He could wriggle them out later, maybe, but still, that wasn't cool. "Maaaan, I juss' got 'er all fix'd up too!"

Torero certainly wasn't expecting an impromptu game of baseball when he threw that piece of stone, but that's what he got, the highblood's swing with his bizarre weapon sending the rubble back fast and fierce, straight into the kid's noggin and eliciting a swear that would have gotten him yelled at had his lusus been around. But Rocinante still wasn't around, and this troll was clearly looking for a fight, so as dazed as Torero was, rubbing his head and hissing under his breath, he'd give him a fight, alright.
"There are more important things that are broken!" He never did take kindly to being yelled at (hey he could hear it now!), much less by a stranger, and dammit nevermind that Torero wasn't much helping relief efforts either. Banderilla at the ready for a strike of his own, he rushed at the highblood, startlingly fast and still shouting unnecessarily loud. "Don't you have anything better to do than picking a fight?!" It was Bolero up to bat now, closing the distance, grip tight on his weapon... swing and a miss! Kid should probably stick to fighting beasts only.

Fiddling with his keytar still, Talymn managed to set one of the keys back into place, testing it out with a couple light taps just as the redblood came barreling towards him. "Wait, wha-!?" Full surprise in his voice, he snapped his head up just in time to see the guy take a swing. Without even thinking, his right foot swept back as he pivoted on his left heel to narrowly avoid the hit. With his momentum carrying him through into the spin, he flipped his keytar again, grasping the neck tightly to smash the flat back end against his clumsy attacker for the counter.
Guess all that training in the underground base paid off.
"Oye... Who's pickin' fights wit' who now?" He growled, glowering at the other as he hefted his keytar on his shoulder. His stance solid with knees bent slightly in preparation for whatever form of retaliation to come.

With an audible whiff as the banderilla missed its mark spectacularly, Torero didn't even try to hide his shock in that split second before his fancy-footed foe managed to knock him flat on his face, knock a tooth right out of his face, even—maaaan, that one had just grown back in, too!—and worst of all, knocked the wind right out of him. Had he been in the ring, he would have been booed out. Where was the choreography, the skill and majesty he had when fighting beasts?! Torero was learning the hard way that fighting trolls, it seemed, was not his forte.
Humiliated, he could only wheeze out a pained "fu-huuck hu-yoouu" as he reached shakily for his banderilla again. He suddenly regretted being out here after all, wondering if he could somehow book it and make it home with his tail between his legs, and no one would have to know about this. No one save for Rocinante, of course, as the unicorn suddenly raced in, hooves pounding heavy on the pavement and even his shrill, angry neigh was like music to Torero's ears. Hope sprung eternal in the redblood's heart! His lusus charged straight towards the two and with a surge of strength, Torero managed to snatch his banderilla back up and pick himself off the ground. Timing was everything here, but they had practiced about a million times, and...
Yes! Grabbing onto Rocinante's mane, Torero heaved himself onto the unicorn's back as he reared up rampant with another enraged cry because dammit, boy, we need to go. One hand holding on, fingers twined deep into his steed's mane, the other arm held up his banderilla, barbed end pointed to tear this highblood a new one as Rocin brought his hooves roughly back down again. With any luck, his cape would be getting a nice splash of color, this dramatic move definitely more ring-worthy.

Tch... this guy...
Eyes narrowing at the unneeded expletive, Talymn's lips curled back into a sneer as his grip tightened around the Major's neck. Tensing up in wait for the red's next move, there was hardly a thought going towards being so suddenly interrupted. Barely having time to take so much as a step back, he watched wide-eyed in surprise as the majestic-looking equestrian stampeded in and gallantly collected his diminutive charge. It was one of those rare moments where things just seemed to slow down, as if the Gods wanted to grant the viewer an extra few seconds so they could fully appreciate the awesome before things sped up again into the ever moving present.
Despite the adrenaline rush, Talymn was either too slow to catch up or too distracted with the idea of how cool the horse-lusus was to ready his guard, bringing his keytar up just a few seconds too late and a few degrees out of place to properly block. Recoiling as the bladed stick slashed soundly across the back of his hand, the rocker troll was abruptly brought back into the present, his keytar flailing wildly in his sudden panic.

Just as with beasts, panicked trolls could be even more dangerous than calculating ones. Alright, that was a bit dramatic for what amounted to some flailing from the purpleblood, but the swats that landed hurt, alright? Rocinante carried his charge away from the attacking troll, snorting with disdain. He had half a mind to impale the highblood on his horn, but no, he wasn't worth that honor at all. On his back, Torero sat slumped and panting, perfectly practiced poise for the ring momentarily discarded as he glared him down. As much as his pride cried for vengeance, and now he probably did have the upper-hand with his lusus here, Torero's actual bruises overrode that of his ego.
It was about time they left. Straightening, hefting his banderilla in his hand once more, he took the opportunity to slash at the scruffy troll as Rocinante charged past. It was kind of a cheap shot, sure, but he certainly didn't want to look like he was fleeing like a coward! Because he totally wasn't, he just had to recoup a bit. Yeah. Torero would remember this troll, becoming a black knight in his mind, a foe to later conquer when he wasn't valiantly backing off.
