A'Meiya is your typical not quite with it air head but not in a dumb, non-intellectual way, but in a tactless, putting your foot in it sort of way! She is pleasant and kind, but more often than not ends up saying the most horrendous things that truly only an idiot would come out with! She states the obvious, she repeats the stupid, and she has a wonderful knack of saying the wrong thing at the WRONG time! Be it outside a legions home or within the confines of training (when she should be concentrating!) that little voice that goes 'think before you speak'? She doesn’t have that! That voice is now homeless on the backstreet's of A'Meiya's mind. She has ended up in more trouble than she can count and is seen as rude, obnoxious and a brat to her peers and teachers. Not that she wants to be! If she realised half the things she said were taken wrong she will be crying and doing seppuku's until the sea cows came home! She takes her studies seriously enough, she will never be the genius but she does try (failing still counts as trying!) and although seen as stupid by the more ignorant students she can still surprise one or two with a trick up her sleeve...unless she forgot to put sleeves on that is...
Although she is constantly trained for battle she isn’t the most hard nerved of people. She can be easily scared – loud noises, flashes, people jumping out from behind doors, all of which would probably make the poor girl wet herself! She is especially scared of fireworks which sadly could be a national past time with the amount of events their used on! During that time she will choose to hide away, more than happy to drag someone along with her if they are more than willing. Although it does make for some awkward conversations.

To go with that air head state of hers she has to be peppy as well! (Its the law!) And she has abundance of the stuff. Sure there is a war going on, curfews being re-enforced with blood shed but that’s no reason to bring her down! She isn't sickeningly cute or force down your throat happy, but she tends to lean on the brighter side of life. It’s the whole 'if the world give you lemons, add some sake and make yourself a screw-ball' mentality. Spilled something down your favourite outfit, make it worse cause it was 'meant to look like that'. There’s a war going on? Perfect chance to sharpen your blades and hone your skills! Why be glum and down about things? The world, or at least hers, is on the brink of a re-awakening and she can’t wait to bring it in! Although she doesn’t see the good in everything, there are times when things get too much even for her to make light of it. But if the memories of the past have taught her anything it is to never stop caring deeply for the ones you love and to cherish every moment you have. In times like these it is an outlook rarely seen.
Her happy nature though hides a deadly allegiance with a blade and the way to her heart is on the training grounds on a knifes edge. She has immense respect for fellow warriors and will try and surround herself with as many as she can, although sadly not many want to meet up with her again after her intense personality of sunshine and rainbows. She'll praise the ground they walk on, spread tales of their wins and spike rumours of their enemies. OTT doesn’t even come close . The more quick witted among her peers can see this devotion as a tool to be abused. She is highly keen to help out and allows herself to be run ragged. If you don’t see her running around the streets completing errands she’ll be helping to sharpen blades or begging her mother to do an outfit for free for a ceremony or two (forgetting to ask one for herself of course). Although she can say no if she wants to its almost an eagerness to please, she find pleasure in finishing tasks and seeing someone else happy for it. Her mother never had to ask twice to clear the dishes and this attitude has followed her into young adulthood.

۵As an only child A'Meiya was brought up in a poor but loving family. Her father was a fisherman who brought in a small amount of money and although this was seen as a deprived existence A'Meiya's world was one of relative comfort and love. If money had been no object then her parents would have lavished her with gold & jewels but instead she was taught to appreciate the finer things in life. A smile could be worth so much more when used just right, a helpful word, a kind gesture. They weighed far heavier on the mind than precious silk and gold. Her mother was a skilled tailor making fine & unusual outfits for any Lunarians that bought her material to wield into something beautiful. Some residents would allow her to keep the off cuts of expensive material to make A'Meiya an outfit of her own and her mother would try out new and different styles to see if she could sell her skills to a wider range. To this day A'Meiya has a taste for the alternative, opting to go for far more fancy things if the fashion opts for minimal attire and visa versa.
Of course life isn’t always perfect and the world of a fisherman is carved with danger. Sadly while A’Meiya was still in her infancy fates deadly talons struck their quite lifes and all too soon they were left with just themselves. With no income to feed them and too grief stricken to find inspiration for her clothes her mother and A’Meiya struggled to get by. Kind hearted Lunarians would aid them with clothes and spare food but out on the coast the world was a harsh place to those that could not tame it. Too young to work for anything that would pay more than shrapnel her mother could only do one thing that would promise their survival and gain a life of chances for her offspring. In a culture that deemed re-marriage highly unacceptable she was prepared to receive the dishonour for her daughter, to be able to fed and clothe her was worth any expense of happiness for herself. And what was that when at the end of the day your own daughter was happy? In time her mother re-wed into status and along with two new step-brothers A’Meiya moved from the coast inland to start her life anew.
Although her birth father was devoted to the emperor her new step-father had notions of grandeur. The thought of the world outside their confides was too great a call and along with her mother had fallen into step behind the man of the house. A'Meiya too young at the time to truly contemplate this forced choice was please enough to be taught stories of what the world had to offer and has grown up with the same aspirations to travel.
To be a priestess was to remain in one place, so against her mother’s wishes she chose to be a soldier. Her own reasons reflecting on the skills she would gain and the power she could wield for when the Noble's finally caught power, she could help them win. Her style of fight were called Hotas, a blend of gymnastics and capoeira style fighting all danced with twin blades. As long as she didn’t get carried away with herself being…herself there would be no stopping this girl. Of course only time could tell if this would be the case for a small Lunarian girl from the coast.۵

۵ Allegiance - Noble :: Like many Lunarian's the notions of grandeur is too great a call and the world outside their confides was an adventure waiting to be sized. A'Meiya was brought up on stories of what the world had to offer and has grown up with the same aspirations to travel as her Step-Father. She knows what it means to be a follower of the Nobles, to stand against an outdated and boorish ruler that did nothing but keep her people penned up like sheep. To be able to help her people she chose to be a solider, to become a priestess was to remain in one place. The skills she would gain, the power she could wield was all sought for in the name of the Nobles. To be able to help them gain the upper hand against the legions, to fight against them, and win! The glory is there for the taking. One day her people, her kind will know that her way, the Noble way, was the one that would lead them to salvation. They would be reunited under one flag, one common thought to lead their people into greatness. One day they would see it and that day she would rejoice. Till that day she could only hope.

۵Style/Technique :: Her style of fighting is a blend of gymnastics, dance, capoeira and kung fu, all danced with twin blades called Hotas. Using a mixture of cartwheels, back flips, swift side steps she can twist her opponent with lightening fast moves and quickly placed stabs until she whittles her enemy down. She is taught to aim for the zones of the body that will do maximum damage. The key is to kill swiftly and most deadly, as the moves take a lot out of a person it is better to strike first before they get the chance. If it weren't for the skill and the murder that traced this technique it would be beautiful to watch, like a gypsy dancing you to your death.

 ۵The Quan Home is situated in the Noble estate, a prestigious and beautiful district designed for only the wealthy and powerful of the Imperial City. It covers an expanse of an acre, is surrounded by beautiful gardens and houses a bath house, training dojo and much more.۵
۵1. Training Room :: A'Meiya father commissioned a training room for her daughter when she passed in a more experienced level of fighting. Although it is used by all family members it is her home away from home.
۵2. Large Pond :: This is a fresh water pond filled with Koi fish of every color. The water lilies cover the surface so it almost appears solid. You can swim in this at your leisure but usually when A'Meiya parents are out!
۵3 Waterfall :: The crowing jewel of the garden this 10meter tall waterfall starts the long winding stream that flows into the larger pond. It was a present brought for A'meiya's mother on their 5th Wedding anniversary.
۵4 House :: The house is heavily influenced by traditional Japanese decor. It consist of a kitchen, sitting room, parlor/entertainment room, library/study, 4 bedrooms and a cellar.

 [ Name – Relation -Status –Age] ۵ Zhu Yung Fa - Father – Deceased – 36yrs ۵
A’Meiya remembers her father with strong happy memories. As tough as boots and hard as nails there was nothing her Pa couldn’t do. He was born and bred a fisherman of the south coast, continuing in the steps of his father and father before him. He brought in enough money to cover food and clothing, nothing fancy ever passed their doors but they were happy and content and he worked his hands to the bone to ensure they would never be without. When A’Meiya was born there was an undeniable disappointment within the extended family that she was born female, old views ran deep, but Yung Fa was besotted with her and felt she was destined for great things. While trying to provide for his family he taught Mei how to sail on his boat, to fix nettings and tie strong knots, training her up to be a decent deck hand like any other boy. (All against his wife’s wishes of course who wanted their daughter to be a proper girly-girl!) When the water didn’t beckon to them he filled her full of tales of the open sea, of his adventures inland and to the sweet stories of courting his beautiful wife. It was a common occurrence to find them both on the boat nearing dusk reading together in the fading light.
Yung Fa perished in open waters over 10 years ago, reports that he had been attacked by raiding pirates of the coast were confirmed when his boat hull was salvaged and it was said to contain the bodies of a least 2 undesirables. Although his body was never found, thought to rest at the bottom of the sea embrace, A’Meiya and her mother will still pray and visit the coast on the anniversary of his death.

A successful business man Sadao Quan built his empire from the ground up; starting with his own stall selling material and clothing to eventually owning his own business crossing cities and towns, a great source of income and Lunarian jobs. He hires an array of people from artists and tailors to labourers and sailors, all to help aid in his ‘clothing range’ which are then sold at major cities and high profile markets to the wealthy. He met Fung Mee when he was searching the coastal districts for rare regional wool in which the land was famous for. He was awe struck at Fung Mee’s beauty forgetting his place and following her around like a lost puppy for days. It was only when the local market was on that he saw her gift of sowing and design.
Thinking of a plan to gain her trust he begged her to be apart of his ever growing empire, spent months wooing her, purchasing gifts and promising the world. Upon eventually joining the ranks Fung Mee proved herself to be more than worthy than just his pay checks and eventually after much persuasion on his side, they married. Of course there was incredible scrutiny over this pairing as Fung Mee was seen as betraying her husbands memory, expected to remain celibate and in a state of mourning until they were reunited in death and Sadao was seen as fool hardy and losing his mind to fall for someone of Fung Mee’s status.
With the gossip always constant there was no time wasted in trying to sire a male to continue his name and restore peoples respect, for at the end of the day A’Meiya was seen as excess luggage. Blessed with not one but two males the Quan Family were finally accepted, by the skin of their teeth into the higher status category, but Sadao will always have to work hard to keep his image clean and unblemished by further scandal. Sadly he has A’Meiya for a Step-Daughter. It is not surprising to say there is no love loss between the pair.

Fung Mee was born and raised on the one of the smaller islands to the west of the continent, one of 5 sisters she was brought up in a moderately wealthy household. She was able to attend school, learn an education and gain skills that were to be expected of a young girl like cooking, cleaning, dance and song. Her father a tailor taught all 5 daughters to sow, her mother was popular musician yet tragically died from the plague while Fung Mee was 14. Her Father unable to support all 5 sisters saw the talent Fung Mee’s possessed and accepted her into an apprenticeship on the mainland. She has not heard or seen from her Father or sisters for over 20 years.
Fung Mee was not your traditional girl, although she learnt in time from the larger cities what was to be accepted by a female she was very bold and brass. Having lived on an island all her life if you did not strike first for what you wanted you did not get and she saw this in all her life endeavours including love. It was not Yung Fa who courted Fung Mee but the other way round. She would chase, tease and play all manner of games on the shy teenager who finally ‘gave in’ after several years of cat & mouse (although he always loved her he was just a stupid kid at the time.) When Fung Mee turned 18 she was able to leave her apprenticeship to pursue her own carer and they moved down to the southern coast and spent 12 blissful years together.
Fung Mee although she cares for Sadao will never love him as she did Yung Fa. She still carries a locket with his painted image and can often be heard crying in her garden when she thinks she is alone. It is know that Fung Mee will not talk about the coast or any aspect of it. Her previous home life is a taboo subject and it is wise never to mention it around her. Although she is more firm and aloof than her younger years she loves A’Meiya so deeply she can’t bear to let he go making her seem very strict when it comes to Mei making and keeping friends. She can come across as snobbish and arrogant but only because she has built so many walls around her heart.

A’Meiya two step brothers are the bane of her life! Identical twins of doom! Brought up with a jewel encrusted jewel in their mouth they eat, sleep and poop evil! (Mei’s words) Educated and taught in all aspects money can buy they are constantly reminded that they are and always will be better than their step sister.
As many young boys their age enjoy pranks and games they sadly do not reserved these acts to their sister but friends or even business colleagues as well! In their fathers eyes they can do no wrong and often get away with murder! Never seen apart they dress in matching outfits and will often swap identities to cause utter mayhem (although Fung Mee can always tell them apart!)
Not natural evil but nurtured with arrogance and pride they follow in their fathers footsteps, yet wither it is with love or loyalty is yet to be seen.
