This is a private roleplay between A'Meiya [Matisha] and Yue Lao [Face Your Demons].
Setting: A Legion Training Ground
Sara is Legion, and Yue Lao is Legion, so when Yue Lao agrees to train with Mei she invites her to a Legion training ground. Yue Lao doesn't realize that Mei is the enemy, so what will happen when they are both forced to face this truth?

It was unusually cold out. Yue Lao blew on her hands, exhaling warm hair, and tugged her heavy dark coat around her, its gold edging up around her fins. She just wanted to be warm, Emperor forsake it. Yue Lao was more dragon than fish, and loathed being in the cold. She huffed in irritation and leaned against the outer gates of the training ground. She chatted idly with the gatekeeper to amuse herself, though he wasn't very interesting.
Hopefully Mei would show up soon. Yue trained very early in the morning, but they had agreed to meet. Mei had sounded quite upset. She overwhelmed Yue occasionally, but it couldn't be that bad so long as there was more fighting-- no, training-- than talking. Yue Lao stretched while she waited and talked, ignoring him every so often to pull a more complicated stretch. She jogged up and down lightly, her meteor hammer tight around her shoulder, its spiked balls in leather holders to prevent injury. They slid off with the untying of a single leather cord on each, so it wasn't hard to remove them in a hurry.
Yue wasn't really sure how to train with Mei, given their styles were likely different. She would probably let her play with some of the different weapons in the training ground, and they could spar hand-to-hand. The gatekeeper excused himself to go fetch his breakfast, and Yue opened the gate to sit on his chair. He wasn't supposed to have one, but it got boring, and his shift was long. Hopefully Mei would show up soon. Yue didn't need the gatekeeper to grant her access, since it was a waste of time. Why would Sara have introduced her to a Noble friend, after all. The notion was ridiculous.

A’Meiya had set of 3 fingers after dawn, full of hurt and anger she stormed through the districts and made no heed to her inner voice enticing her to be distracted. She wasn’t Mei this morning. She was something of a shell, fuelled by tears and injured feelings and most of all guilt. Guilt for what had happened between her and her supposed friend. Something she may have stopped if pride and loyalty had no grip on her life. Yet they did and all that had fallen after would mark this girl’s spirit for years to come.
The wind nipped at Mei’s head fins with a bite that warranted more layers yet the girl seemed comfortable in her three-quarter length trouser which bared her ankles. Her feet sat snugly in the black pumps that had seen better days but served her so well and the training smock was held close to her form as she walked the distance to the training camp. She had been here before, the time in which she had met Jianyu & Huang. One of her first outings in the big city and she had predictably become lost and found her way watching the two warriors run routines with younger novices. Goddess how she wished for those days when everything were more simple. When she didn’t know as much or have a care for such things as sides or allegiance …which was still true in a way because she still hadn’t made the obvious connection between a group of legion solider training in a legion training camp! Even with some choice banners erected to show the boundaries did Mei’s clouded mind not pick up on the line she has crossed. There was only one thing on her thoughts and that was training with Yue. Someone who she could hopefully confined in.
After the adventures they had already shared she now idolised Yue, differently from Sara who Mei once saw as a true friend, but as someone she could truly learn from, maybe even train beneath if Yue continued to show promise like she had. Mei liked this idea. It wasn’t that she didn’t like Master Yomo but he was aging and one day it would catch up with him. If A’Meiya was to revenge anyone she needed to be trained by the best and that title was surly slipping from her current Master.
Walking into sight of Yue she gave a hurried wave, hardly the posed and dedicated warrior she claimed to be as she did a sort of skipping run up to where Yue sat and smiled, not the happy go-lucky smile she often wore, but a defeated smile on seeing someone she considered a friend.
“Ready for me to beat you up!?” she grinned her nose wrinkling as she winked mischievously at the older girl. It was obvious she was ready to work herself into a frenzy as she jumped from one foot to the other, clapping hands to get the warmth back into them.

Yue had started to imagine strange things while she waited for Mei. Like giant birds circling in the sky and swooping down. Or the walls crumbling away to reveal ponds which stood upright, like looking through a screen into an aquatic home. Yue Lao was happy when Mei interrupted her imagination, or the fighter would have promptly thought she had completely lost her mind. Yue Lao had never really trained with anyone before, apart from her senseis and the monks at the temple where she had learned how to wield her Meteor Hammer. It was now her beloved weapon, her response to the weakness she had felt in her fighting style. All that was left was to rectify her inability to combat magic. She needed a weapon which could be even more flexible than her meteor hammer: one that could change shape.
Still, it was not something Yue Lao had mastered yet. As Mei approached, Yue wondered if something was wrong. She seemed excited, but-- was that exhaustion? Worry? What was she feeling? Yue kept up her facade, winked at the girl. "Mei, Mei, what will you be one day?" Yue wondered aloud, her riddle-like state re-emerging. As a student, it had been nearly impossible to get anything BUT riddles out of Yue Lao.
"If you want to beat me up, you're going to have to learn fast," Yue laughed. She had been training fiercely for quite some time now, and she was about demonstrate that. "Stretch first, I'm going to lap the training ground a couple times. Join me as soon as you stretch," Yue requested, involving Mei in her routine. She stretched quick one more time, even though she had already stretched pretty much every muscle she could think of, and then began to jog lightly within the complex, heading through into the larger training ground.

The question threw A'Meiya off track, it wasn't difficult to do that but even so her black stare was worrying. There would be surprise if a spider dropped down from her nose the way she stood stock still to contemplate the question, statuesque in her befuddlement as she tried to make sense of it. "....What will i be....can i have three guesses? No wait four guesses!?" she retorted back as she watched Yue begin to jog round the grounds her own hurried stretches coming in quick fire rounds as she worked though her muscles making such each one was loose and fluid for the mornings training. The feel of her muscles reacting to the moves felt good. It was something to concentrate on. These were constant. No matter what confusing thoughts ran through her mind she can always relay on training, on fighting. She could follow that, she could find comfort in the familiarity of it all.
Her stretches were barely finished before she set about bouncing on the balls of her feet and then pounced straight into a sprint, her feet hitting the ground with all childlike excitement as she bounced and skipped and finally fell into a jogging motion once she caught up with Yue.
"Are we to train with weapons today? Or I could show you my Hotas! You can't steal them though cause there mine...well there not mine. They are an ancient fighting style passed down through generations of warriors but for what I know I am the only student who is currently trained in them so technically they are mine....but you can have one or two moves though because then i can have one of yours! Deal?" The girls mouth moved so fast it was a surprise she could breath at the same time yet she was at ease jogging by Yue's side. She didnt get the whole 'quite' time most warriors took on while training. If anything this was her version of going for afternoon green tea with the noble ladies, a hobby her mother had picked up to be able to gossip and talk suitors for they wayward children. A'Meiya had yet to be taken up on any offers.
It was then after a few minutes of more useless babble that Mei hushed up. The girl had finally ran out of air? No it was....something else. Something was happening. It was almost like she was storing air as she breathed in heavy through her nose, cheeks expanding as her mouth twisted into a frown, her eyes glistening suddenly in the early light. And then...and then it erupted.
"ME AND SARA ARE NOW MORTAL ENEMIES FOR ALL TIME!!" she stopped suddenly to let the true howl escape her diaphragm as she bulldozed Yue into a forced hug, her arms wrapping around her middle as she placed her head just under her chest, her body bent over double at the waist as she clung on to her for dear life.
"WAAA I AM SO SORRY YUE! WE CAN NEVER SPEAK TO HER E-EVER....e-V-Er...EVER AGAIN! WAAA!"
