The office is mostly bare because he has not had much of a chance to add his own little personal details to it. It has the essentials for an office but beyond that nothing really.

Haru Mori
Lieutenant, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

[Enter from the Fourth Division Barracks]

Haru stood before the entrance of the office of the First Division lieutenant. With the Captain-Commander under comatose, it was only natural that the responsibility falls upon the proxy or the division lieutenant. Considering that the promotion of a Fourth Division captain was so important that the Captain-Commander oversees it herself, Haru thought it would be the best that this would be brought to the First Division lieutenant instead. Snapping back at the thoughts of the promotion of Kougji, Haru sighed in frustration as he recalled the "ragged" features of the latter and his rather laid-back demeanor. Was Haru's thought of Kougji's promotion a good idea at all? He wondered to himself, yet, sadly, found no coherent answer. It frustrated him more, naturally.

To take his mind off the frustration of Kougji, Haru instead focused on "retouching" himself before he meets with the First Division lieutenant. He retied his left hair on the left side of his head and then readjusted the pins that held the long hair at its place to prevent them dangling too much. Touching the pins once again reminded Haru of a person named Linuen even though he couldn't remember the significance of the name much than "reminding him that that Linuen was an extremely important person." The Fourth Division lieutenant stared off in front of him for a moment, lost in thoughts, before he snapped back into reality and then sighed softly. He wondered how much of his own memories had gone from his head prior to his arrival in Hanataro and Midori's, his foster parents.

"I wonder..." Haru said softly as he moved towards the entrance of the office, but turning once towards his companion, Kougji.

Kougji Bushūgi

Division Four Captain

ourney o ore

It had been a long while since Kougji had stepped foot within the division one compound, not on personal matters though to himself, with his previous Captain, the circumstances surrounding his visit would be on that subject, his taking the command of the fourth squad, an idea that he would have dismissed as a joke in his mind, though with an adamant attitude from Haru, he knew it wasn't. "Who are we waiting for then Haru-fukutaichou?" He obviously wasn't familiar with the office the two were currently waiting in. He looked around curiously, wondering who was here. He was aware that the Captain commander was currently out of commission, meaning that they were most likely going to see the first division's lieutenant, he hadn't met the man or woman before, so he was wanting to meet them. Kougji, being the lower seat that he was, didn't get out often so he didn't know many others outside of his own barracks, but he was interested in starting relations with others now, more so now than ever, if he was truly to be the new division four leader.

Kazuhiko had watched the human girl leave as she was obviously scared and found her speed to be slightly surprising. He had meant to follow her but it was quite clear it was too late to even contemplate doing that. The others would have to deal with her. Then the captain decided to go off a little bit and then proceeded to leave to inform the Fifth Division of his decision to close the Senkaimon down. Sighing Kazuhiko decided on not staying much longer and heading back to his office until word was received of the location of the intruding human girl. His progress was slowed significantly by the Tenteikūra messages he was receiving. If not for the fact that there were Captain's on the scene of the various announcements he would have left immediately. Upon arriving at his office he noticed two people outside and stopped just short of them his footsteps no doubt doing enough to inform them of his arrival.

Clearing his throat Kazuhiko was prepared to say something when he received the last Tenteikūra message from Hibiki and he stopped frozen still. A lieutenant had been killed? Could the Human's really be responsible for such an act? Especially considering it was the Eleventh Division lieutenant. They were known for combat prowess after all. Looking the two men over and noticing the the lieutenant's badge on the one man's shoulders Kazuhiko sighed then proceeded with the greeting he had been intending to give before the last message. "Yonbantai-fukutaichō and I assume another Yonbantai member it is a pleasure to see both of you. I assume you are here for a reason? Not to be rude but considering that last Tentaikūra message I would be appreciative if we could make this quick. A lieutenant being killed is no small matter after all. Oh and forgive my rudeness for not saying so sooner but I am Kazuhiko Kazama the Ichibantai-fukutaichō."

Haru Mori
Lieutenant, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

Haru momentarily looked at Kougji when the latter asked the lieutenant of who was the one they were waiting for. Struggling not to suddenly laugh, Haru found Kougji's absolute clueless demeanor extremely amusing. If this man was to become a captain of the Fourth Division, the lieutenant wondered if work would be done to that place. Nonetheless, it was indisputable fact that Kougji was more fit of the position than anyone else is. "We're waiting for the First Division lieutenant, Bushūgi-san, so to ensure your immediate succession of the Fourth Division captaincy position. I doubt if this process has ever done before but this had to be done." Haru said at once, turning his back against the would-be Fourth Division captain.

It was only several moments when Haru felt a rather unfamiliar presence. He turned to his back and then found a purpled-haired man with brilliant slate blue eyes. Naturally, the Fourth Division lieutenant assumed that this was Kazuhiko Kazama, the First Division lieutenant and also the one in-charge in everything of the Captain Commander's works. He was about to give the man a formal bow when an announcement connected with Haru. He stopped with a half bow and then listened about the news of the discovery of the corpse of the Eleventh Division's Shiruba Uingusu. Apparently, the announcement was made by the captain of the Ninth Division, Hibiki Kirisho. Additional to this was the sudden "deprivation" of the Ninth Division's printing functions. Haru knew there no time much to spare.

After this, Kazuhiko Kazama, the blue-eyed lieutenant, turned to Haru and then proceeded to his earlier interrupted greeting. Haru responded with a respectful bow and then listened to the man before him. When he was done, Haru thought that things must be done at once. "Good day, Kazama-fukutaichō. I am the Fourth Division lieutenant, Haru Mori, and the one currently in-charge of the said division's vital functions.

"As we both know the dealings of the recent situation, I will spare no time to tell you about the reason of our sudden visitation of your humble office." Haru paused for a moment and then glanced at Kougji. "It will be my terrible task to inform you about the sudden 'leave' of the Fourth Division captain, Elisia Hakase, Kazama-fukutaichō. She left the Gotei elite due to reasons I have no idea all about; nonetheless, these struck her and left without sparing much words to me or anyone in the vicinity. Hakase Hei and Kirisho Hideki has known about this. The said event transpired not too long ago and allow me to send my sincerest apologies at the wake of the recent of events.

"Now... Due to my refusal to become the captain due to several reasons although protocol says the lieutenant was to naturally assume the captaincy functions and seat, I have decided to suggest of the promotion of the Bushūgi-san to the Fourth Division captaincy seat. You and I know that the Fourth Division captain position must not to remain empty, correct? It's a bad reputation to the hard-workers of the division. Even I think this needs to be done at once."

Haru stopped and then sighed. Slightly nervous, the Fourth Division lieutenant waited for Kazuhiko's response.

Kazuhiko gave a quick little bow back to Haru as a sign of respect considering the man had done so for him then waited for him to begin. It was quite a suprise as Haru introduced himself then went on to say that he was currently in charge of his divisions vital functions. Where was Elisia Hakase? There should have been no reason the lieutenant was in charge unless the captain was incapacitated, as his was, or there was no longer a captain in the picture. Surely the woman wouldn't just abandon her position even considering her wife's death right? As Haru glanced at the other man present, Kazuhiko did the same, giving the man a calculating stare as he waited for the other lieutenant to continue. Then Haru explained that Elisia had indeed departed without warning and left the division without a head. It was a terrible thing considering the state the gotei thirteen was in. It was made even more terrible by the fact that she had not informed anybody prior to leaving and just left everybody to pick up the pieces.

Now he felt even worse for his own captain upon her reawakening. On top of everything else she now had to deal with the sudden departure of her daughter-in-law. Sighing deeply and pinching the bridge of his nose with his eyes closed, Kazuhiko nodded as Haru sent his apologies. "Yeah.." It was distressing to have this placed in his lap on top of everything, but there was nothing to really be done about it now. Aside from minimizing the damage that is. Letting the other lieutenant finish completely, Kazuhiko was again surprised as Haru said he didn't want to take over and was instead suggesting this other man do so. As Haru ended Kazuhiko Reopened his eyes and let his hand fall back to his side as he looked at Kougji. "And I take it you are in agreement of this decision? To be quite frank I don't really like leaving the entire fate of a division on someone I know nothing about. Even were I to accept this appointment and make it official I could not guarantee that Sōtaichō-sama would agree with me and keep this. It would just be a trial run of sorts to see how you do."

Why did this have to happen now? Why couldn't Elisia have waited until things had got back to a semblance of normal? "I do not disagree that the yonbantai being without a taichō to run it is a bad idea. However the same could be said for every division. Still we cannot afford for morale to drop to low at this time. Fine I am going to make this official. Until you are otherwise informed Bushūgi-san you are the acting yonbantai taichō. Congratulations. Now considering I am not sure if you were privy to the information before now or not I feel it is my duty to inform you that we have human intruders currently. According to the last message I received Hibiki-taichō seems to believe that they are responsible for the death of the jūichibantai fukutaichō and some vandalism of his own division. Therefore I think it necessary to figure out exactly what is going on. Do either of you disagree?" Kazuhiko waited for the newly appointed captain to speak since he had yet to her the man speak. His appearance certainly wasn't typical for the fourth division, but that was not something he paid much attention to.

Kougji Bushūgi

Division Four Captain

ourney o ore

Kougji was simply listening to the two men speak, he was not being addressed at first. As he listened to Haru explain Elisia's departure, Kougji slightly grimaced, this was a devastating blow to have lost his mentor, he had been training with her for months, which was the top most reason he was no being chosen for a leaders position, but it was hard for him to accept that she was just gone, he couldn't get information out of Haru, merely, she was gone, walked away, why would someone so proud and strong do such a thing? He was not aware of the crisis that had happened in Elisia's life however, making him slightly ignorant to her emotions. The talking with Haru ended and soon the attention quickly turned to himself. Kazuhiko was explaining that his position at first would be temporary, until such time that the Captain Commander was once again mobile, this didn't strike Kougji as odd, he understood that she would have the final say in such a matter, still, if the position happened to fit his personality, it would be something of an upset to have to relieve it to someone else, though it wouldn't even be on his suggestions. Nevertheless, Kougji understood and just the fact that he was given such an opportunity was amazing. "I understand and thank you, Kazuhiko Fukutaichō." Kougji gave a bow while accepting the title that Kazuhiko now bestowed upon him, no matter how much unrest came with it being permanent. Kougji's eyes were hidden behind his glasses so a lot of his emotions, be them happy or annoyed would not be expressed, the tone of his voice as emotional as death, he become very formal in such situations and did not allow himself to be expressive.

Listening then intently as he was briefed on the situation sweeping Seireitei, he became a bit surprised that the situation was so grievous, certainly a few intruders shouldn't be such a difficult task to n** away, then again, it would depend if they were truly human. "I see." Giving the situation some more thought, slightly hesitant to word his opinion on that matter, he spoke, but with words he didn't intend to vocalize. "The situation seems dire, therefore, I will make sure to instruct the rest of my division of the matter and issue that all members take caution, I suppose we cannot be too careful." It seemed he came a across maybe a bit to strong, after all, he though, he was only temporary acting captain, but he assured himself it didn't sound too pushy, though Haru was still standing near. "Also, I think it might be wise to at least look into the matter of Elisia." This was spoken with personal want over a needed operation, needing reassurance he supposed that she was somewhere safe. "If this is all, I would suppose me and Haru should depart to our division to prepare everyone and brief them also on the matter." Kougji waited for the go ahead, after all, Kazuhiko was the acting captain commander for the time being, at least, he held that authority with him. Kougji looked over a Haru then, he knew this man felt indifferent about his taking the spot for the yonbantai, and he knew that Haru did not think much of his appearance, but he thought this censorious of him to be towards him while not knowing much about him nor taking the time to truly get to know his personality, merely judging the exterior.

Haru Mori
Lieutenant, Fourth Division
Sereitei, Soul Society

Upon hearing Kazuhiko's formal appointment of Kougji's position as the new Fourth Division captain, Haru made a formal bow. "Thank you for your understanding, Kazama-fukutaichō." He said and then turned to his new captain, Kougji. It felt absolutely strange that from one moment Kougji was a mere low-seated member and now he's a captain. Perhaps, Haru was merely not accustomed to these kind of situations. After all, everything that had to do with the scene was certainly weird. The First Division lieutenant was appointing a Fourth Division non-seated member to captain position - everything about it screams of unusualness.

Pushing the thoughts aside, Haru walked over to Kougji's side and then stood a step farther behind his new captain. He listened for Kazuhiko to debrief Kougji about the recent announcement made by Hibiki Kirisho. Ah, yes, Kougji would not have heard all about it. So, Haru remained silent and then listened to the events that transpired between the men. When Kazuhiko asked if they disagreed about the suggestion of knowing the nature of the recent events, Haru shook his head. "No, I do not disagree, Kazama-fukutaichō." He responded.

When Kougji responded that they should depart to their division and brief all the members at the matter, Haru then began to step back and then made a respectful bow. "Thank you so much for your time, Kazama-fukutaichō." He said and then held out his hand, pointing to the direction of the Fourth Division. "Bushūgi-taichō, this way please." Haru said and then bowed his head once more.

Truly, how strange...

Kazuhiko nodded at Kougji's thanks and returned the bow offered to him by the man and Haru. "Just try to not disappoint I guess." Kazuhiko couldn't properly gauge the emotions that the man was going through thanks to his glasses and the fact that his voice had nothing behind it emotional wise. He would have expected the man to be quite happy to be given the opportunity to prove himself worthy but perhaps he was wrong. Nevertheless the man had accepted the appointment without a fight and therefore Kazuhiko found that to be a good sign. "Uh if you don't mind after this is all situated I would like to see prove of your capabilities. Being a taichō even of the fourth division requires you to be skilled in battle after all. I would hate to be the one to appoint you only to find out you did not meet that requirement. I am not suggesting a spar I would just like to see what you can do is all. On a training dummy is fine. I trust you have achieved bankai?"

After he posed the question Kazuhiko fell silent. As Kougji spoke up concerning the situation at hand Kazuhiko nodded to him appreciatively. "Thanks that should prove helpful." Just as things were about to end Kougji brought up the matter of Elisia and having someone at least look into things. "That is not an unreasonable request however currently we need all hands tending to the rebuilding. I would also like to speak with Hakase-taichō concerning it before committing to anything. It was his daughter-in-law after all. Though if you wanted to send one of your own members to conduct an investigation that is up to you." Kazuhiko offered the last option up as a compromise just in case Kazuhiko decided it not worth pursuing. His decision would probably be heavily swayed by Hei's input considering he would probably know Elisia better than Kazu himself did. Though of course if Yuki wanted to pursue finding her or didn't want to look for her when she awoke her decision would trump Kazu's.

As Kougji and Haru both mentioned leaving to brief the fourth division Kazuhiko replied in a formal manner. "That is fine you are both dismissed. If you should learn anything new or anything of that sort you know where to find me. Goodbye Bushūgi-taichō and Mori-fukutaichō." After they left Kazuhiko was aware that he needed to figure out exactly what was going on and soon. How exactly was he supposed to go about doing that though? He could no longer feel any battles raging on after all. Perhaps visiting Hei would prove beneficial considering he had sent out one of the broadcasts at least.

From what the spirit heard and saw as she ran through the streets, Kazama wished to speak with Hei. Already knowing full well that Hei was in no mood to talk with anyone at this point, Rei knew she had to at least get there before he could leave. The fox darted through the streets, startling many Shinigami that she passed, while also gaining looks of recognition by the time she reached the 1st Division's grounds. As the spirit of the Captain Commander's Zanpakuto, she was well known by most higher ups, especially in the 1st Division. Many of these people she had seen face to face as she often ventured from Yuki's side in times of peace, some of them she had actually spoken to. However, she had no time to talk to any of them, so she ignored them all, even when they shouted out her name or addressed her by a multitude of epithets ranging from simply "fox" to "slanty-eyed woman."

It didn't take too long for her to arrive in the vicinity of his office, and she began to slow down once she passed through the walls of the building that housed it. Padding down the halls, she finally reached it before assuming a larger version of her fox form wherein her upper body suddenly took on human qualities. With a clawed hand, she opened the door to the office, using her fearsome appearance to make sure no one in the room moved an inch. However, the moment the door was open and she was sure everyone was in their proper place, she shrunk in size and reverted to her fully human form. "Kaza-bōya." Her voice came seductively, something she was unable to help, and she crossed her arms under her ample chest as she spoke so as to barely stop the white robes from baring the rest of her breasts. Her frame filled the doorway for a moment, but then she moved away from it, moving towards his office window so that she may bathe in the sun's rays.

"I am here to solve a few of your problems. There have been many things I have watched over the past few hours as I stood over my mistress, bu the most troubling thing I have heard was that you wish to go see Hakase Hei. Do not, he is in no mood." Inside she felt twitchy, especially because she didn't feel entirely right ordering him around. Still, it was for the good of the Seireitei; she moved towards him, swaying her hips slightly, and once she reached him she extended a hand to his chest, running a finger down his pectorals. "I can't help you with Eli-chan leaving, dear, but you won't go running after Hei, will you? Promise me now. And don't you worry about that Lieutenant, it's already being taken care of by someone else." She smirked, flashing him her canines, then turned as she began to walk towards the opposite end of the office. As she did so, she held up all five fingers on her right hand, then began dropping them as the seconds ticked by. Once she reached the last finger, her index finger, she pointed it towards the door, signalling Nu's arrival, which she knew was coming based on what she could already see. "Ciao." With this, her physical body passed through the wall and her Reiatsu vanished.

From the clamor on the roof of his office, Kazuhiko would be well aware of someone's arrival. From the roof to the ground below, the leader of the Onmitsukidō made sure that noone was near before landing just outside the entrance to his office. Just as she turned to face the door, she could make out the finger of Yuki's zanpakutou spirit, who apparently wanted to talk to Kazuhiko about something, and had timed Nu's arrival perfectly before passing through a wall and vanishing. Making sure noone else was around to suprise her, Nu walked inside his office, staring at the man. From his office, it was clear to her that he was still getting everything ready in his new position. Finding only the bare needed equipment to make an office, Nu clears her throat before starting. "Kazuhiko, we have a sort of......situation." She didn't know how much the man knew, so she just told him everything she knew. From the discovery of humans with interesting powers in Soul Society to the "return" of a flesh and blood Tsukiko, she made extra care to explain Emiya's request as promised. "She wishes to remain here and train. Her situation in the Human world will be taken care of and as so far, they seem to be peaceful and haven't broken any laws yet."

She didn't know what kind of attitude Kazuhiko had, but from a first impression standpoint, Nu could only assume that he seemed to favor facts over feeling. Taking a second for it all to process in his mind, she resumes again. "As a side note, we should work on security so that no more humans wander here again, powers or otherwise, and as for any opinions on letting the humans stay, both Hei and myself see no problems in letting them stay, granted under supervision." The latter was simply added to remind him that even Captains are tolerant with the situation, in the event that it weighs much in his decision. Looking back to where Yuki's zanpakutou spirit dissapeared, she turns back to the acting General. "How is Yuki these days?"

Kazuhiko looked up quickly as a clawed hand opened the door to his office and gazed at the form that enter into the office. Slight confusion was present on his face for all of five seconds as Rei assumed her completely human form and said his name. Habit took over and immediately he dropped into a formal bow to the spirit to show his respect. "Nagare-sama I was not expecting to see you leave Sōtaichō-sama's side yet." While not spoken there was some measure of hope present in his voice that his captain was better. Still the fact that she was not present answered his question just as good if not better than had it been said. Despite the desire to take in her form in full Kazuhiko made sure to keep his eyes on her face as she moved towards his window. As Rei spoke of solving a few of his problems inside Kazuhiko felt extremely relieved though he didn't let it show. As she mentioned him visiting Hei Kazuhiko adopted a slightly confused look until she spoke of Hei not being in the mood.

It was relieving to learn this before going to see the man only to receive a cold reception. Kazuhiko was already wary of the man and found him to be entirely frightening most of the time. Still if he had to he could swallow his fear towards the man and speak to him. Trying to talk to Hei when he wasn't in the mood was not on the list of things he wanted to do. "I see." Watching as Rei moved away from the window and towards him Kazuhiko did his best to ignore her finger trailing down his pectoral muscles and listened to her words. He was disappointed she couldn't help him with the Elisia situation but then again there wasn't much that could be done under the circumstances. As she mentioned promising her he wouldn't go to Hei Kazuhiko nodded to her. "As you wish Nagare-sama." With the mentioning of the Lieutenant being taken care of it was another thing off his shoulders and therefore made him feel even more relieved. "Understood." Then just like that it seemed she was finished speaking and moved towards the door stopping to hold up fingers then ending with Nu arriving.

Then after bidding them goodbye Rei left through the walls leaving behind no trace that she had been present in the first place. "Bye." Looking over at the newly arrived captain Kazuhiko waited for her to speak up figuring she had an actual reason for being here aside from a social visit. Especially with everything going on. As she cleared her throat and spoke up Kazuhiko gave her his full attention. Listening to her story Kazuhiko didn't move from his spot. It was nice to hear that Tsukiko was back since it would be less stress on Yuki for when she inevitably woke up. Still the request from Emiya was a slightly odd one. From what he had been told he figured it was the same girl he had encountered earlier. His responses to the girl had been slightly harsh but he wasn't exactly sure how to respond really all things considered. What did one say to a perceived invader? He found his responses to be fine with what little information he had at the time. Still after learning what he had Kazuhiko figured he had been too harsh.

As the request was delivered Kazuhiko nodded slightly. "Understood." Personally he didn't see the problem but at the same time he was a little weary of letting an outsider in to train. He thought about it a little in silence his eyes closed signaling he was thinking. Nu resumed speaking after giving him a few moments to think and after speaking of increasing security said that her and Hei had no problem with it personally. Nodding a little absentmindedly Kazuhiko opened his eyes again. "Very well. The human girl is allowed to train and stay with supervision. I would like to speak with her myself but that can wait. She is likely going to be here for the foreseeable future after all." With that concluded Nu asked about Yuki's condition which received a sigh from Kazuhiko. "There has been no change as far as I am aware. Granted I haven't been to see her today. It's been a little busy. I am sure it won't be much longer before she is awake though. Will that be all?" Waiting for a reply from Nu Kazuhiko felt leagues better than he had before Rei's visit considering how much had been clear up since.
