Nyght
Name: Midnyght, but she likes Nyght
Age: 20
Appearance: Nyght has short black hair at about ear level which she usually just leaves alone. It takes too much work to do anything with it. She keeps it short so that it stays out of her way when she's crawling around in the wild looking for Pokemon. Her eyes are a gray color, which can look a bit odd in some lighting, but she can't help it, so she doesn't worry about it. She could be considered pretty, though she's usually found in field clothes with dirt somewhere on her face. She just can't be bothered to try to look pretty, so she doesn't worry about it. It's not that she's dirty or smelly, she washed once a day and what not, but she doesn't do anything to help her appearance beyond normal cleanliness. She is usually wearing brown or green clothing that is much more practical than stylish. Good solid traveling boots are the only footwear she owns. She likes the classic look of keeping Pokeballs on a belt around her waist. She generally also has a backpack slung over her shoulders to carry everything else a hiker needs.
Personality: Nyght loves to be outdoors and gets a little weird when she's inside for too long. She has a very practical and logical mindset, and doesn't understand why she would want any other life than the one she leads. She loves to camp for days at a time in one area to watch the Pokemon in that area, and dreams of the day that she catches one to raise and travel with. She doesn't mind other people, but she isn't very good at the formalities that are generally needed in social situations. This leads to her being too direct and upsetting the weak of heart. This is why she generally prefers the outdoors and Pokemon. It just makes more sense to her.
History: Nyght was raised happily by her parents, who were both field researchers, and encouraged her love of nature and Pokemon. When she was old enough to venture on her own, she did and has been adventuring all over since then. When she came across the new town of Zatao, she jumped on the opportunity to discover the Pokemon in the area with all the researchers. She's been here in the woods ever since. Nyght has recently also found what her true calling is. Like her parents, she wanted to be a researcher, but she didn't know of what exactly. She has decided that researching the genetic differences in pokemon that cause shiny variations along with other color variations is a field that she could make a huge impact in, and so has set up a
lab and is now on a quest to collect as much data as possible.
Nyght ended up traveling back home for a few months when her mother became ill, but now that she is fully recovered, Nyght has not reason to stay away from her lab, and so has returned and is ready to get serious about her research.
Backpack: Nyght carries a few pokeballs, like every good trainer, some water and energy bars, a spare set of clothes and her journal. Her parents taught her to always have a journal to write down Pokemon observations, and she has never let them down. This is also where she records what samples are from what pokemon.
