((This is going to be an ongoing thread for me to rp Nyght doing her science stuff and for people to drop by if they'd like, feel free to pay her a visit.))

In the heart of Zatao lies a seemingly ordinary looking building, but one of the doors is marked "Lab." This curious door leads into a large room, with all walls filled with equipment of various kinds. There is a refrigerator for storing specimens, a centrifuge for separating liquids, various microscopes and computers to view and analyze cells of various kinds, and of course, lots of paper. There is also a cot in one corner, evidently where one particular scientist seems to sleep a lot. Next to the cot on a small stool is a journal. This seems to be one of the few organized places in the lab. Though it is obvious that the resident is a bit eccentric, the posters and diagrams of pokemon, especially shiny and non-shiny color variations, would be intriguing to any trainer.

There is a sign on the wall when one walks in reading, "Welcome to Nyght's Lab, if Nyght isn't here right now, please stick around, she probably just ran an errand, but please don't touch ANYTHING!"

Well that's friendly, kind of....

Ducking into the only place he could find, Kader closed the door behind him. Huffing and puffing, he lent back against the door. Whatever had gotten to those trainers and their Murkrow, it had really gotten them riled. Raising curious blue eyes, he looked about to see just where he'd burst into. It would do no good to get into more trouble.

Looking about, he was amazed at all the new stuff. Gizmos and gadgets that did all sorts of strange things. Some of which buzzed and beeped. Amidst the scientific treasures, a sign caught his eye.

"Welcome to Nyght's Lab, if Nyght isn't here..." he read the sign aloud.

So Nyght worked here, running experiments and all of the sort. He didn't miss the don't touch anything. He planned to follow that rule to the very letter. No telling what would happen if he broke anything.

"Hello?" he called, looking about.

It had been a long time since Nyght had been in her lab, months in fact. Getting a letter from her parents had at first seemed like a joyous occasion, but as soon as she read that her mother had fallen ill, she had hopped a Lapras back home. Though it had been touch and go for a little while, in the end everything turned out all right and her mother had recovered fully. Since Nyght didn't have any major commitments in Zatao, she had decided to take a vacation and stayed home even after her mother was obviously going to recover. That being said, for a work-a-holic, free time grows tiresome after a while, and so it was only a matter of time until Nyght returned to Zatao. She realized on her ship ride back that her fingers were now itching to get back to work, and with her loyal Tauros Fintan, it was bound to be an adventure!

Nyght rushed to her lab as soon as she debarked the ship, stopping just long enough to let Fin out of his pokeball so that he could run along beside her. The poor guy didn't much like to be stuck inside all the time, and there hadn't been a lot of room to run back home, with all the forested areas. Fintan let out a happy snort as he trotted along beside his owner, nudging her from time to time to say thank you and I'm happy. As soon as Nyght unlocked the door to the lab, she scanned around, making sure everything was just the way she had left it. There was a lovely cover of dust on everything, but other than that, all her equipment looked fine.

"Hey Fin, mind helping me dust?" Though neither of them were that fond of battles, Fintan's three tails were quite helpful in cleaning. The Tauros rolled his eyes once, but then nodded and trotted over to nearest counter, flicking his tails delicately around everything, "Taurr....." He was far too nice to his owner.

"Yeah, yeah, stop your whining! It's not like I make you do anything else around here!" Looking to her empty refrigeration unit, Nyght sighed. It had been easy to leave because she hadn't had any samples to worry about, but that was no way for a researcher to think. She needed to really start working on catching pokemon, collecting DNA samples and analyzing them! Looking over at her fairly normal Tauros, Nyght laughed, why not start now?

"All right big boy, you can take a break.... I can just tell that you're tails are getting tired...." The sarcasm was not masked in Nyght's voice, and it caused Fin to snort at her in faked exasperation. The large pokemon quickly trotted over to his dark haired owner though, and nosed at her expectantly.

"All right, I know this is going to hurt a little bit, but it's time for me to start researching and you are going to be my first piece of data!" Taking a syringe, Nyght drew a vial of blood from the tense but stationary pokemon. Getting done as quickly as she could, Nyght patted her brave boy and grabbed a handful of berries from her pocket. "There you go, all done. You were so good Fin! Thank you!"

As the Tauros happily chomped away at his treat, Nyght hurried over to a bench and put the blood sample in a preserving vial, soon after labeling it appropriately. Stretching her fingers a bit, Nyght took out a few drops and deposited them on a specimen slide, then looking under the microscope. As expected, nothing all that interesting. Blood was blood for the most part, and without any other samples to compare Fin's too, there was nothing really interesting to see. Disposing of that slide in her biological waste container, Nyght took out another few drops to run DNA analysis on. Setting up her equipment to stop automatically after the appropriate hour, Nyght slipped the rest of the sample back in her refrigeration unit and crossed back to Fin. Running her fingers through his mane, Nyght smiled, "What do you say boy? Wanna go for a walk? See how the town has changed?" With a confirmation in the form of a nod from Fin, the pair set back out into the afternoon air for exploring.
