The television flashed with a preview of each field to be present within the stadium. But as another battle was called forth, the previews stopped as a trainer punched down the green button on the bottom command station. Suddenly, the screen began to flash on and off to set with the field of first choice. Anticipation shook the trainers and the roulette slowed to a halt, finally landing upon...
The Grass Field!
The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making maneuverability easy to those build to walk on land.

Meeka walked into the stadium's field. She was surprised actually to be going against the same trainer she had lent Ebba to fight her first battle. But again, Meeka was proud to have her Stantler be in another battle. "You're gonna win Ebba?" Meeka said as she patted her partner on the head and fixed his scarf. "Just do you best, kay buddy?"
Ebba shook his head as he flung his eara around. Another battle? He really didn't need anymore. Huffing he trotted out to the middle on the field. He bent down and nibbled on some of the grass. It was sure tasty in his opinion, but he wasn't there to eat. He was obviously there to battle.
Meeka smiled as she called out to her familiar opponent. "Ready to get their battle underway Nyght?" she called with her hands cupped over her mouth.

Nyght smiled, getting more and more used to battling as the days went on. She wasn't scared of Meeka, since she had lent Nyght the pokemon she used in her first battle. Nyght found it a bit amusing that she was in fact battling the same Stantler she had led to victory only days before. Oh well, it was all practice and they all wanted to battle as much as possible. It seemed like most battles were friendly between trainers who knew each other. Except for gym battles, Nyght thought to herself.
Nyght proudly stepped onto the platform, watching as grass sprouted up and a cool breeze started. This was certainly a more simple field than she was used to, and she was a bit worried about how a pokemon with fins would fair... but she would find out soon. Taking the pokeball holding the Dewgong off her belt, Nyght held it out, "I choose you, Dewgong!" She watched as Albireo materialized from the familiar red glow, flipping his tail absently against the squishy grass. The Dewgong looked strangely back at Nyght, as if assessing the trainer that had just called upon him. With something that looked very much like a shrug to Nyght, he turned his head back to the field and looked across to the Stantler, his chipped horn already seeming to glow.
Nyght waved across to Meeka, smiling as well, "Ready when you are!" And that was it, it was time to start....

Meeka giggled. This sure was quite entertaining! Thrusting her hand out, she smiled. "Okay Ebba, let's get on place rolling! Shock Wave!"
Ebba stared back at the familiar trainer that had seemed to have used her in battle before. He was much more comfortable hearing the commands come from his own trainer than another. At the mention of the attack, Ebba's horns twitched and his body pulsed with static. He kept his eyelids shut, but when he finally opened them, a large wave of surged electricity spread out amongst the field.
"That the way to do it Ebba!" Meeka cheered from the trainer booth.
Remember: 2x damange. x3

Nyght backed up as Albireo wiggled his way further onto the field. As the battle began, Nyght was already wincing. This wasn't the best match up she could have chosen, since Albireo couldn't easily play to the Stantler's weaknesses.... Nyght considered the idea of focusing on a Stantler for herself someday, since they seemed to be good pokemon to battle with.... Just as she was contemplating these thoughts, the stadium lit up with the electricity coming from Ebba.
"God... This isn't good..." And true to the girl's worries, Nyght watched as Albireo was surrounded by the electric pulse. His body seemed to be lifted into the area by the strength of it, and his muscles flexed erratically with the currents flowing through them. Not a great way to start out a battle. But Albireo was a strong battler, and experienced, so he would have a ways to go before he started to show the wear. Nyght swallowed, knowing that that would be a hard move to match, but she had to try.
"You doing all right Albireo? Of course you are big guy! Why don't you make it a little colder in here, Ice Beam!" Nyght couldn't help getting excited. Water and Ice pokemon had always captured her curiosity the most and finally battling with one was an amazing experience. She just hoped that it would go as well as her last try.
As Albireo heard the new trainer's command, he shook off the last of the sparks around him and reared up onto his muscular tail. His chipped horn started to glow with a pale blue tint, which just kept getting brighter and brighter. With a mighty heft of strength, Albireo threw himself into the air and aimed his horn at the deer pokemon. Nyght watched in awe as a beam of what looked like pure ice jetted down towards the Stantler, growing larger and larger as it descended.
((going for the freeze effect since I'm trying to learn the special effects smile ))

Ebba became shrouded within the blue rays of the ice beam. He stiffened as he was put in the same predicament he was put in many times before. He became frozen and there was no way of movement besides waiting for the ice to thaw. He huffed as he was encased in the ice, no way of movement.
Meeka sighed. "Hang in there Ebba!" she said. "And don't fight it!"

Nyght pumped her fist in the air as a glassy case of ice froze the stantler. As it solidified over the indignant deer pokemon's body, Albireo sank back down to the grassy field, propping himself up by his flippers. His horn was still faintly glowing from the success of his last attack, and he was obviously happy that he wouldn't be attacked for a little bit. His body was still tensed, waiting for his next command to continue the battle.
Nyght's mind raced as she watched the ice encase Ebba. It was obvious Ebba wasn't going anywhere without help for a little while. In order to keep the effect, Nyght decided that another ice move would be best. She called out to Albireo for action, "Keep the chill going Albireo, Blizzard!"
Though the stantler was already frozen, the Blizzard would hopefully cause more damage from the cold, in theory. Nyght bit her lip from nerves as she watched Albireo's horn begin to glow once more, but this time with a pure white shine. Albireo raised once more into the air and twisted his body violently, cutting a line through the air with his horn, leaving what looked like snowflakes where the horn touched. But these snowflakes were far from beautiful. As Albireo's horn slashed through the air again, they grew in number and started cascading towards the frozen stantler.
The stadium became blurred with the frozen water as sheet after sheet was released from Albireo's horn and sent charging towards the helpless stantler.
