The Ascended Way

Unofficially known as Hill Valley Resort, the upper crust of Frostchild lives in content in their lavish homes. It's thought that their currency is bags of money with large dollar signs on them; however, everyone knows that they actually use suitcases full of money. Most people seem to shy away from the fact that there seems to be a number of gaudy-looking (but gold-plated) sewer access covers on the streets.

Marius and Kuji showed up, inexplicably leading his crew straight from Central Field to Ascended Way.

"Hmm." Marius crossed his arms over his chest. "Deadeye, grab that manhole cover for me, will you? It looks valuable."

Shin follows right behind the pair and notices not only the waste of gold in the street but also the odd looking guy in nothing but a dirty t-shirt and ragged black pants. Shin didn't really liked hobos, they could loud and angry for no reason, so for now he avoided the man and thus missed the feral shift. Instead he marvels at the gold gold plated seat covers for a bit, thinking about how he would need something to carry them. They would be probably too heavy to carry in his open arms, so some transportation was needed. Walking up to one of the richly furnished houses, Shin looked down a driveway in search of some sort of vehicle.

Sadly Shin finds no vehicles by which to carry away any spoils he might find. He was going to have to be rely on all muscle power unless these houses had wheelbarows inside of them, which he highly doubted. Walking down the driveway, Shin approaches the side door of the house. Again he takes out his trusty lockgun and begins to open the door. As the house belongs to the richest people in town, Shin expects to find some sort of advanced security
once inside and thus his tenser than before. The lock clicks and the sky pirate leaps inside the open door.

As he opened the door an alarm sounded, one that was different than any other he had heard before. It was brief, loud and sounded like an explosion. He charged into the house, grabbing as much goodies as his arms could carry and then stormed right back out. He was in and out for quick for you never knew when the authorities might come back.

As he left the house he saw that what had sounded like an explosion actually was an explosion off in the distance. He also saw that captain and first mate were going off in the direction of the explosion. He had to wonder why they were going there and why hadn't they said anything. Shin followed a little bit behind them, lugging an assortment of utensils and furnishments made of silver and gold.

The door released easily: the numerous alarms he likely would activate with the heavy-handed approach were effectively negated by the fact that Frostschild's Finest were apparently all missing in action, as were the staff of it's power network. He noticed the explosion, which merely encouraged him to work more quickly.

The immense home was ripe for the taking-- as much as he could get, as quickly as possible. He didn't have the time to do as thorough a search as he would have liked, and the number of homes far exceeded the amount he could carry.

Caesar headed down the main hall, and found a stairwell which he took. He was in pursuit of the iconic symbol of wealth, jewelry, and searched for it near the main chambers.

He located what he was looking for quickly: a silver and ornately decorated box. He checked the contents, found them sufficiently gaudy, and stripped the room of portable wealth, depositing the finery haphazardly into the box. Finally, he grabbed an impressive looking eight-inch-tall jewel-studded statuette from the bedside and stuffed it into a deep duster pocket. He regretted leaving the art pieces, where most of the home's wealth likely resided, but without a way to carry them (or the ability to appraise their value individually) he'd have to settle on items that were portable and obviously worth something. The silver box went into the other pocket, wrapped closed with a long string of pearls.

By the time he had finished and gotten back to the front door, he could barely catch Shin moving into the Maize, with Marius nowhere to be found.

It confused him significantly.

Edit:

Caesar chewed on the thought for only a moment before heading back to the central field, pockets full and apparently abandoned by his wiser comrades.

Somehow Joseph popped out of stealth mode and began walking down the streets.

"Now this is what I'm talking about." He seemed to comment to himself, "Kael, if you wanna go ahead you can, I'm gonna set us up a safe haven. Sorry about that Ray, Looks like operation religious significance is gonna have to take back burner to operation build us a base... Best tell the others... Lesse who'll pick up first."

Likely it would be Sam. Time to adopt protocol.

"Three days ago we failed to find any temple in temple square. Headed down to the ascended way, and we're likely gonna build us a HQ." He paused for thought, "Tell Kid Icarus not to bother with the flashy thing, I'll shop for a mansion myself. Everything a'ite with you?"

"Alright then, sounds like a plan."

He turned, and after testing his leg to make sure it could handle it, doubled timed his way off to make that search they'd talked about.
