The results for the Grand Opening Flatsale is out. First, just a basic rundown on how we decided to randomise the list, so that you understand we made it as fair as possible.
For each Hyte, the list of applications is randomised at the List Randomiser of Random.org three times. The winner of each round is then put into a list of three, and then randomised one final time for the conclusive result.
Through this system, we have produced the winners :
Golden Retriever, now named Colton – Kuro Maata
Turkish Angora, now named Philomena – AnimeEyeshime
Green Iguana, now named Desiderio – Kakui
Congratulations to these three for both taking the time to apply and having the luck to top the list twice!
For everyone else who have been supporting us throughout these three days and sending in loads of wonderful entries, please don't despair~! There will be more sales coming soon, and a Christmas event, and we will surely keep working with all the encouragement we've had since we set up shop. Thank you all very, very much~!!! heart

1. Staff Lounge is open! The auctions for the Ryukin Goldfish and the African Grey have ended, with the most flattering results we could ever imagine. Here is the outcome :
African Grey, now named Triane - Oh!1945 for a Demonic Pendant worth 265k, a Chyaku Norisu Scarf worth 207k and 800k pure to total 1.274mil.
Ryukin Goldfish - Tooaya for a Devil Tail worth 14mil.
We're waiting for Tooaya to get back to us at the moment. If you would like to see, here is the cert thread for Triane. biggrin
Thank you very much Oh!1945 and Tooaya for bidding, and bidding at such high amounts! eek
There are also other people we must thank for bidding on the auctions : RuthieAngel, Ririka, Aylee, Sailor Savannah, Pocchiato [Jamie], Rainbow Lime, Kyuoko, xXxHellequinxXx [Taru], Kakui and Silver_Tygress. Thank you all for taking the time and risking much gold to bid.
This means that the Grand Opening sales period is over, and it was a success beyond our imagination, with a total of 38 applications for the flatsale and the above ending bids for the auction. Thank you all so much for participating. There are no words to say how touched and thankful we are for the wonderful reception that we have received from the Gaia cyberpetting community.
Even though the first batch – which we think of as the "Petshop" Batch [Maxx would have named it the Petshop Boys but then there were two girls…] – have all been adopted, please stick around HyTech and chat with us in the thread! More importantly, we'll be having a Christmas event and another sales period [ie. flats and auctions] next year, mid-January. We intend to keep going as long as we can, which means there will definitely be more chances with more Hytes in the future.
Once again, thank you all so very, very much. The past one-and-a-half weeks of HyTech's existence has just been incredible. whee

In preparation for the new Hytes, a new accessory and a new item have been added. Spectacles, as seen on Jun's Julien, the Mae Kyuu plushie, all other accessories and items can be bought and added from the child stage onwards. Do check it out!

Happy New Year, everybody! All the Bytes evolve today amongst the festivities for the new year. Two types of Bytes have popped out of the two differently coloured baubles :
"At Maxx's insistent prodding, Demi has baked a batch of gingerbread people. These are delicious, aromatic, beautifully-iced gingerbread people. However, instead of the usual oblivious gingerbread smile, these gingerbread people stare at you with their dark, curranty eyes, knowing full well that you are the harbinger of their doom, signalling as much with their grim gingerbread frowns."

New Bytes, when available, can be found in our Merchandise section -
"Grab a Byte for your Hyte - or for yourself! Sentient and intelligent, these little guys make great companions for your Hytes, or cute little pets for yourself. Bytes were first created when Demi baked a batch of Gingerbread People at Maxx's behest that were somewhat too…severe for any of us to consider eating - making them perfect test subjects for Jun's newly conceived molecular-assimilating artificially-sentient reconstruction nanites. By assimilating the molecular code of the food item, the nanites absorb and reconstruct the item, adding suitable protective volume and a singular sentience to form a self-contained, mobile, and fully sentient construct. They're just like little [food] people - and while some Bytes never seem inclined to utter a word, some never stop talking!
As the nanites are fairly time-consuming to manufacture, Bytes are only available from time to time."

Events will always have to end sometime and that always makes me the saddest, because not only is the event done but also that with making new owners happy, we disappoint some others, all of whom are very, veryvery special to us – for being there, for participating enthusiastically, for supporting us all this while. There is nothing we love more than having the chance again to make more Hytes and make more people happy! heart
Jun D After two rounds of physical meetings and email input from our White Rook, finally only two remain… First, we gotta say - those meetings were epic [almost as epic as some of your entries]: we can't even decide on pizza toppings, what made us think we could decide on RP contest winners? We loved all your entries, and found it almost impossible to choose - some of us demonstrated our differing opinions much more, uh, violently than others… - each of us had different favourites and we really really wish we could award Hytes to all of you. But at the end of the day, there are only two Knights, and preferences, opinions, and favourites aside, these are the two entries that we could [finally] agree on - that we could most hold up to the Knights and all say: "Yes, okay, it'd happen like that." The winners are…White Knight - Malhyanth
Black Knight - Petite KitsuneCongratulations! You two alone still stand after the massacre that was our judging committee discussions! Do start the trade for 20K with Belle, and the Knights will be certed and threaded ASAP! We're really grateful for all your entries and your merrymaking - thank you so much for making our first RP event a success. The guys and actually all the staff have been utterly shocked and humbled by the response to Karma Chameleon, which for the guys were just a fun silly project and there is nothing like all of your enthusiastic response and support for us. The event was really confirmed and embarked on for you, our wonderful dedicated customers - Jun and Maxx worked overnight to get things done and set-up before collapsing back into college work, and thank yuo all so much for making it so worth it. We could never expect that we would sell 30834 tickets for Karma Chameleon, and still a total of 90 tricks and treats with that! Thank you all so, so much, and we only hope we helped to make the buildup to Halloween and Halloween itself fun for you. For those who did not win Karma Chameleon, please don't be disheartened: our Anniversary is coming up and it's likely we'll have a mini event. December in particular will be a busy month for us and you can be sure that there will be a flatsale and a Christmas event to try again! We will confirm that the relevant Application is what you still want - basically, we are provisionally committed to your application, but you don't have to be committed to commissioning us until you have confirmed it! In the meantime, you can still send in revisions, or new first-choice applications if you have changed your mind, though they will still be subject to approval** 3. If you're keen on an RL Custom but didn't submit for lack of ready cash, no guarantees, but we'll see what we can do if you submit in the future - similarly, if you submitted at our behest without intending to try for an early slot, just tell us when your funds are good for you.After looking through the applications, we have decided to expand the first round to 5 slots and prioritise three criteria: a. Jun D on pg1551 Aaaaand finally, people, RL$ Customs are here. whee If the prices are a put-off, I am truly sorry - this is the best I could do after wrestling down Maxx's original demands, and as far as I can tell from my market research, priced significantly lower than most unique line-art [and some non-unique line-art] B/Cs. *kowtow kowtow* They may be adjusted due to market forces...though I doubt that Maxx will let me we can go any lower. sweatdrop I'm also sorry for the immense amounts of text you have to wade through - I tried to cover as much as I could, so... ^^;; I'm going to try to do as many as I can: please don't be alarmed by the small number of slots - we will be reopening them as soon as I am done with the first batch, and will keep reopening them until I have at least done one custom for each interested person who has been waiting for them for a significant amount of time. If I find that it's just not working out after that, then we'll see. This also means that, though we really appreciate applications that try to meet our "Application Fine-Print" guidelines XD;; - it may be best for you to submit your most wanted Hyte application [or at least indicate so if you are submitting more than one for us to choose from] in case we cannot carry on. But we're really hoping it won't come to that. The results for the Japan Flatsale are out. First, just a basic rundown on how we decided to randomise the list, so that you understand we made it as fair as possible.
For each Hyte, the list of applications is randomised at the List Randomiser of Random.org three times. The winner of each round is then put into a list of three, and then randomised one final time for the conclusive result.
Through this system, we have produced the winners :
Shiba Inu, now named Kamiko – Byagane319
Tanuki, now named Kisuke – thyPOPE
Kitsune, now named Katsutoshi – o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o
Congratulations to these three for both taking the time to apply and having the luck to top the list twice!
The reaction to this flatsale was quitequite immense; over 40 entries for each Hyte, and a total of 132 entries altogether! We've definitely surpassed the numbers of the previous flatsale. For everyone who entered, thank you all so much for your effort, creativity and massive support in HyTech's third flatsale. It has exceeded our expectations, and we sincerely hope you guys had as much fun writing them as we did reading them - we do really regret that there could only be one winner! But please don't be disheartened, as we have said many times before, HyTech will be persisting in the B/C probably longer than you would want us around~ 3nodding There will be more events and more opportunities [as will be detailed by Jun, hee] so be there with us, okie? whee It would be lovely if you could hang out with us till then, too!
