Especially for Mindhealer patients and mindhealers, as well as guards that might have known him before his disappearance. He certainly needs to catch up on all the bullshit that happened in two Turns...

Raolan could think of worse things than waking up naked on some random carpets in his backroom next to a friend. There was waking up naked next to a total stranger. There was waking up next to a bottle, naked, in a gutter. He wished he'd had the former, and unfortunately he had had the latter (several times). He would have liked Jamarin to not give him that cheeky smirk on the way out, but yes. There were worse accidents, some involving drink, others involving sharp objects.
That didn't mean he couldn't be grumpy about it.
He was cleaning his salon/office/whatever it was with a vengeance to try to work out his annoyance. He knew Jamarin would tease him mercilessly. That was what the boy did, even if he was different now, with his fixed smile and his wher. He knew it would be worse if he told Jamarin that, truth was, he was inexperienced. It wasn't Raolan's first time exactly, but it was his first experience of a goldflight (he'd heard they were worse, though) and his first experience with a man. And Overall? His second sexual encounter. Ever.
He wasn't a fan of it, he had decided. He didn't understand the people who had a thriving sex life (like those awful sisters of Jamarin's). He just didn't. He wanted it to go away, and stay away. He was Busy.
Time was, his lover had been the drink, and she was a cruel mistress, dumping him in the aformentioned gutter with a headache to rival a sledgehamer.
He was done with that. Now his craft was his passion and obsession. He just wanted things to be uncomplicated like that, nothing but hair and hair care and cutting and styling. No changes, no drama, just hair.
At least he knew Jamarin wouldn't pursue him further and wouldn't make a big public show. Jamarin, at least, was not like that. Good. He was done. He was done, it was over, and he never wanted to speak of it again.
