Sailor Mönch, of Popcorn!
location: Reception Room - Pedestal Pals

Well! That didn't open anything! But! It was certainly telling her to open something! "Hey! it told me something? Or like, showed me something?" Mönch scooted up to the pedestal, joining those who were step-by-step figuring stuff out.

"Gosh, that's so pretty, will it get even more glittery once all of them are up here? Just two more to go!" As she speculated, Mönch reached over to the right side of the pedestal. "The ghost showed me there was a buttoooooon...." Her voiced dragged out as her fingers skirted around, looking for the button that...ah! There it was!

"Wow! it really is a secret USB port!" Mönch cheered before looking around. "Who knew the moon would would use USB, right? Uh...though like..." Pulling out a Hello Kitty USB from her super magical subspace, Mönch gave it a doubtful look. "I mean...will just any USB work on the moon?"

Santa Maria Novella, Squire of Ganymede
Location: Reception room, plunking crystal in holder, looking to hide.

Halle hadn't responded, hadn't said anything, and the squire didn't give him a backward glance to find out why. He didn't say anything either though what he did do was pick up the pace, nearly running without actually doing so. He could see where he was needed, where this crystal was needed, and he mentally sighed. Why him? Why did he have to participate in all of this?

Sighing as he hurried into the reception room, he really hadn't paid any mind to anything around him on his way to the room from the library, the squire finally slowe dhis pace to a slow walk as he approached the pedestal and plunked the crystal into one of the slots. "There, got what you wanted." As if it were alive, and considering he was certain it had shown him those images, it might as well be alive as far as he figured.

Stepping back, finally, he took a moment to now look around. Seeking out a corner, or someplace to avoid everyone, the pale eyed male did his best to vanish...though given his height of 5'9" it was hard to hide.

Eternal Sailor Kerberos
Location: Reception

"Well holy s**t," Kerberos said, softly. It all seemed as if it was coming together, the various pieces of what looked to be a puzzle lock. And he was sure that this was going to get them where they needed to be.

"Great job, Aruna, looks like it likes you," he said, and he wasn't sure exactly who he meant, but...well, it was pretty clear the Moon wanted to help them. Whatever presence was still here, it seemed to be pointing them int he right direction.

Maybe he still wasn't entirely sold on the Moon Kingdom. Maybe he was still more than a little skeptical. But here, now? Whatever they'd left behind seemed benevolent. And like it was full of so much hope it hurt.

Kerberos couldn't help but want to lean into that.

Mönch got a wry little smile and a small shake of his head. "I haven't done much on the Moon, but Earth stuff doesn't usually work on my homeworld. Great work finding that, though--actually," he remembered Erytheia from helping a starseed on his Wonder move on, and the Cosmos Knight got a grin, "Erytheia, do you think that thing you found will fit over here?"

And someone had to have the third orb, but that would hopefully turn up shortly.

He couldn't help but get all involved, given the opportunity--but he did take a moment to pull out his phone.

Halle Knight of Lysithea
location: Reception Room - Pedestal Pals

Dragonlance? It felt faintly familiar, possibly from one of Luke's miniature sets? A D&D thing? Like....what was the series? The one his uncle had a whole shelf full of them? Forgotten Realms? Halle idly considered the reference, but stayed quiet as he followed Santa Maria back to the reception area. It was nice to see the squire taking this kind of initiative and momentum.

Though once the orb was set in place, the other boy seemed less than pleased with the task. So much so, that Halle couldn't help but laugh, "Good job, though, right?" He'd clearly helped complete...something.

"So that's three wizard orbs and...what else is needed?" Do they have to start shouting out passwords again?

Lacille Super of Books

Reception Room - Pedestal Pals

Lacille must have gotten lost in her thoughts since she was the last to show up at the Reception Room with her crystal. She smiled and rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry I took so long, I saw it too. are we all ready or did you already do yours and I am the last one left?" She asked looking around at the others who had found crystals while searching the spire. She had hoped she could help with this and Coco followed close behind her, curiously watching all the excitement.

Coco jumped up and down and said "Come on let's do this I want to see what is in there maybe this will shut down the barrier!!"

After finding that the other crystals had been put in Lacille nodded and went and put hers in as well.

Eternal Ganymede
Location: Reception

Ganymede appeared very suddenly—as if, wherever she’d been before now, or whatever she’d been doing, she’d had her phone right next to her, waiting for any indication that the group on the moon had been successful.

“Honestly, that was quicker than I expected,” she said, finding Kerberos through the growing crowd in the reception area.

The pessimistic part of her, which seemed to grow every year, hadn’t expected success at all. They’d had access to parts of the Moon Palace for almost thirteen years and hadn’t gotten any further than the gardens, reception, and library. Granted, as far as she was aware, trips to the Moon had become few and far between for most people, save the Moon knights. There hadn’t ever been a concerted effort to access the rest of it. There’d been little indication that they might need to, until now. (Maybe they shouldn’t have waited for an indication. Hindsight could be a b***h.)

Ganymede had at least gotten better at keeping the sour look off her face—the one that always threatened to set in when Serenity and the Moon Kingdom became the subject of any war effort. Most of that nonsense seemed lost to time anyway. The war had moved beyond them. Most of the new faces probably didn’t even know who Serenity was. It wasn’t as if there were as many mouths to spread the story these days, given that Ganymede’s generation of Senshi and Knights had thinned somewhat.

Red lips twitched like she might frown.

Alright, not the best way to think about things.

-

Cynthus, Squire of the Moon
Locastion: Reception

Cynthus was not impressed. Not by the Palace, or anyone’s efforts, even if some of those efforts seemed to be working. She slunk back the more people tried to get through the barrier, rolling her eyes at it all. Anyone who made a similar effort to her, especially that Chibi Senshi who’d already scampered off, got a dirty look. Imitation was not the sincerest form of flattery. It was lazy.

Pay no mind to the fact that Cynthus hadn’t tried hard at all.

“There better be something good in here,” she griped, shooting Yvoire weird looks since he’d gotten quiet about the whole blood magic thing.

Gross. Cynthus didn’t know what that was about, and she didn’t really want to know. (Except she did. A little.)

“Oh, hey,” she said, noticing Ganymede near some scantily clad, blue haired Senshi. “Wow, so you make everyone else do all the work and show up right at the end? Not cool. We’ve been working really hard here. Must be nice being a Princess.”

Ganymede held back a snort but couldn’t suppress the sardonic smile. “Not half as nice as you’d think.”

“Okaaaay,” Cynthus said, dragging it out for the effect of being annoying and irreverent. “Wow, so cryptic.”

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon

The good news about showing up with a broom and wheelbarrow meant that Amarynthos was in prime condition to actually help when there was a mess. While the others gathered around the pedestal, he took advantage of salvaging what he could of the broken pottery.

There were a few big pieces, so he snagged those easily enough, and what else remained, he carefully swept up before it could be crumbled underfoot. He offered a few 'Excuse Me's and 'Sorry's as he did so, but he stayed as much out of the way as possible and stepped back as soon as he'd gotten it all cleaned up.

He smiled apologetically at Ephesus for leaving his side but rapidly retreated to rejoin him. He wanted to leave the palace in a better state than they found it, even if there were a few broken pots along the way.

Knight Erytheia

Maybe it was the presence of a crowd, but Erytheia felt uneasy. Maybe it was the effect of the barrier and its magic. The knight didn’t know.

He nodded to the senshi who mentioned that the moon must use USB. He had never thought all that deeply into what powered the place. He had assumed magic, but they did have Mauavian tech, too.

Though that hardly explained why it used USB.

“Yes. I will place it in the slot. Thank you, Kerberos.”

He hoped this was worth it.

Erytheia closing his eyes and hoping for the best as he slots the USB in.

Selenga, Squire of Ida

Selenga grinned when he found the little button and pressed it. Lacaille took the thing that popped out and he didn't get a very good look, but he hurried towards the reception area once more after her. Something was happening. Finally!

Sailor Troilus, Basic Senshi of Enthusiasm

Troilus waved Thalassa off without even looking behind him. Over his shoulder he shouted, "Kill joy!"

He peered at the spherical indents some more, but no new insight came forth. And... were more ghosts laughing at him? Well, at least he was funny, even if he wasn't helping all that much. He wondered if there was anything else he could do, but it didn't seem so, so he just grinned and moved out of the way of the people coming in who seemed to actually have clues.

Sailor Fang, Eternal Senshi of Chrysocyon

Fang wasn't quite sure what the magic was that soothed his fears and worries and doubts, but he welcomed it. The peaceful feeling suffused him. He couldn't help much in these intelligence matters, but he knew now he was supposed to be here. Something would work out.

If the squishier people in the room needed protecting from something, he would be ready to fight.

....He nibbled on another cookie. He'd need the energy, after all, if a big monster showed up.

Ephesus, Knight of the Moon
Ephesus stayed close to Amarynthos, of course. He picked up some broken pieces of rubble from the ground and placed it gently into the wheelbarrow. Even though the Palace had fallen apart, it didn’t feel right to treat any piece of it with anything short of reverence. Not that he knew much about what this place was, but it felt almost like a tomb.

Definitely not as warm and welcoming as Ephesus or Amarynthos’ Wonders.

He didn’t mind when Mary had to shuffle away. He was always doing good things for everyone, so moving away from Ephesus’ side meant he could help more people. Or places, as the case may be.

Of course, when everyone started making their way back to the area, Ephesus busied himself with cleaning up.

Reims, Knight of Ganymede
Reims’ lip twitched, but managed to hold back the grin. His expression was a little softer with Dering’s efforts. He knew Dering was anxious about playing in front of so many, so Reims was proud of him for trying even a little.

“Looks like everyone got lucky and found something useful,” Reims snorted in half amusement and half annoyance, but gestured for Dering to come closer to him and Rose.

“Have you tried anything yet?” he asked, as if he hadn’t been paying attention to his friends. And it wasn’t as though they wouldn’t be going home to eat soon.

Now that the others managed to unlock something and Ganymede herself decided to show off.

Sailor Chibi Eupheme, Senshi of Weightlessness
Woah!! She found--!! Something?? A journal or something, but there was barely anything in it, and it was locked!! Maybe she could get Surtur to unlock it or something. She tried prying it open, but when it didn’t budge, she shuffled her way back to the reception area with the others. There was a strange feeling like she needed to be there.

Except she immediately froze when she caught sight of Ganymede talking to some other Senshi (Kerberos). Oh no! Oh, this was bad. She was going to get in so much trouble.

Quickly, she jumped behind the guy she beat in arm wrestling.

“I’m not here!” she hissed up at Reims and his friends. His cape was big enough that she could definitely hide behind it.

With all three orbs in place, the pedestal suddenly hummed as if it were slowly powering up. The power source was easy to identify–each of the crystal orbs seemed to function as magical battery packs. The moon symbol on the USB lit up as soon as it was installed, and a little light on the side seemed to indicate a transfer of data.

As each of the orbs illuminated, they cast a beautiful light show across the walls. Tiny pinpricks of light danced like stars across the room, swirling slowly as they slowly rose up the wall, to the ceiling, to the chandelier…

The energy seemed to be gathering there, in the center of the room. Each crystal that hung from the beautiful, ornate chandelier began to glow.

A pillar of light, roughly three feet wide, shot from the ceiling down to the floor. The silver curtain looked like the barriers sealing much of the castle with one major exception: the spectral figure of a woman that flickered into view.

There were few that might recognize Queen Serenity, but who didn’t know her before would know her now.

Her expression was kind, but troubled. She stared, statuesque, into the empty space before her.

And then, she blinked.

She looked around. She saw them.

“What are you doing here?”

Sailor Tempesti/Rowan Trumoia

Sailor Tempesti stood agog as the shade appeared before them. She couldn’t say whether the woman was a hologram, a ghost, or something between the two. If she was a ghost haunting the Moon Palace, it would stand to reason that she used to live here. Maybe a member of their royal family or some equally pompous class. She was surprised by the swell of distaste she felt at the notion of encountering space royalty. Pushing aside the strange mental twitch, she returned her focus to the entity before them.

Maybe it was some kind of a defense system? Getting vaporized by some manner of Moon ghost would be a less than ideal solution to their apocalyptic snake problem but at least it would be a fairly unique way to die.

Glancing around at the others gathered in the Spire, she sincerely hoped that one of the others had any idea how to respond to the woman’s question.

Valhalla, Transcended Knight of Jupiter

With Ganymede there, of course Valhalla was soon to follow. He approached his wife and Kerberos, giving the latter a polite nod in greeting. It had been many, many years since he’d last seen the ghostly figure of Queen Serenity, and he couldn’t feel too happy about seeing her now.

But they needed help.

He took a moment to observe everyone who was there. Senshi and Knights alike, of all ages and walks of life. He wanted to give the others a chance to speak, to talk to the Queen’s projection, but they had very little time.

From everything they’d learned, he was cautious about how quickly they were to ask for help from the Moon Kingdom. But if it was their only chance… he would rather put aside whatever pride he had and do whatever it took to protect Earth.
