Arezu stepped out of the room into a long hallway. A looooong hallway. "Ah, yep, sure. Getting close to the end for sure."
"Oh shut up." Hakuren threw a handful of plastic spiders he'd picked up at her. Arezu ducked, laughing, and stumbled into the wall. Her laugh turned to a yelp when the wall gave way, or rather it turned out to not be a wall at all.
And now Hakuren was rolling on the floor laughing and he dropped the illusion he'd created of the long hallway. Instead it was a sort of study, and Arezu had just fallen over the back of a couch with her feet sticking up in the air.

She grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and held him up to eye level so he'd see her glaring. Of course, he could barely keep his eyes open, curled up and laughing as he was. Adorable little s**t.

Ducky had said the situation with Vince was complicated and he wasn't kidding. A lot of what Ducky said didn't make sense to Lana, but she was also likely too far out of the loop to understand. "Don't see how stayin' away'll keep her safe. N'less he's a convict 'er somethin'. He ever stop an' think about what she wants though? He shouldn't go an' make decisions about her without talkin' to her about it first. Communication is key to any relationship." She nodded sagely. Speaking of which she probably needed to call Hank soon. She made a mental note to do that tonight. She'd do it now but it was probably too noisy to have a meaningful conversation. "Seems like y'all just need to sit down and have a heart to heart anyhow. Maybe tell 'im how you feel. An' I don't mean about his decisions, I mean how you feel about yer friendship an' all an' that you're worried about him." She insisted.
As they prepared to ride Katsu to the fair, Lana felt relieved as Katsu forgave her even though he hadn't felt wronged by her ignorance. Really, Lana found it amazing that she could ride the solgaleo. She held on tightly as they moved through the portal and soon they emerged in Kalos, but the auburn forest that now surrounded them hadn't at all been what Lana was expecting. "Thank you Luci." Lana smiled at the gardevoir for her insight, but frankly, Lana couldn't give two hoots about some fancy tower She was far more impressed that Kalos had any sort of natural woodland area like this left for as vast as Lucina said it was.
They got right to playing some games, and Lana decided to let some of her pokemon in on the fun, tossing some of their pokeballs in the air. Aristotle took a look around and seemed unimpressed, while Kalena shook herself off and appeared at least curious of her surroundings, though she rubbed up against Lana first in greeting and looking like she wanted to stay close to the cowgirl. Astro was the first to take the hint and zip off to play a few of the games while Wilbur blinked slowly and scratched his stomach, sniffing the air and seeming more interested in the prospect of food than games. Cynthia, on the other hand, was quick to locate Daiki and smiled charmingly at him despite his now illusionary human form. ('Hey there handsome. We meet again.') She crooned, peering over at Katsu. ('Oh? Who's your friend?') He seemed.... Powerful.
Aristotle, apparently having had his fill of the noisy crowd immediately landed on Lana's hat. "What's the matter Aris? Thought ya'd like to go find somethin' intellectually stimulatin'." She asked with a smile as the rowlet scoffed. "He ain't amused by these childish shenanigans." Wilbur translated, then raised his hands defensively as Lana frowned. "His words miss Lana, not mine, uh-huh...." Lana pet Wilbur reassuringly. "Don't worry Willy. I know. Come on Mister Stuffyfeathers. Go find something fun to do~" Lana insisted, prodding the indignant bird. ('Stuffyfeathers?! Well I never.') He huffed, begrudgingly leaving his roost to go look for something to do. There had to be at least one game that required some finesse rather than these brutish squash smashes. What was wrong with a good old-fashioned game of chess? Hell, he'd settle for some sort of horrid ghoulish or pumpkin-ified version if it was absolutely necessary.
Kalena watched the rowlet curiously before mewling up at Lana. "You too, hau anela." Lana insisted gently, scooping the vulpix up and brushing their noses together affectionately. "Why don't you go watch Astro or Aris? It's a very important job. I'm counting on you to be brave and make sure they behave." She insisted. "Kyuuu~" Kalena licked Lana's nose and wagged her tails, making Lana giggle. "Now now, don't go tryin' t' butter me up. It won't work." She set the vulpix down on the ground and scratched her back before ushering her off. Kalena yipped and ran off after Astro since she knew he needed looking after. With that settled, Lana caught up with Ducky as he managed to fish some tickets out of a pumpkin. "Haha, gross! I hope you plan on cleaning yer hands." She grinned widely.

Ducky had so much more he was willing to talk about - mostly to vent off his frustrations with the situation with his friend - but they were heading off to some carnival. So the conversation ended, at least for now, the samurai giving a nod before introducing Katsu in his actual form so that they could travel. While it wasn't his first time riding Katsu through a wormhole, he still found it a bit dizzying. Luckily, he was able to keep his footing when they arrived.
"You are very welcome, Lana." Lucina replied softly as she was thanked for the info about their location. Then, it was off to the carnival games, it seemed. The Gardevoir watched as both trainers started playing games to earn tickets, noting that Katsu and Daiki had gone off on their own to play games as well. She hoped that Daiki wouldn't rope Katsu into doing anything weird. She had heard from Katsu about the betting on a fight that had gone on at the winter ball, and that didn't sit well with her. But for now, she was left watching Ducky reach into pumpkins and try to smash squash in silence.
Ducky looked over after his initial round of games to see Lana letting out some pokemon. He would have done so too, if not for already having out enough as it is. Especially since it seemed Daiki had wandered off again with Katsu. "Huh? No way! I can totally play another game without washing my hands!" Dakota claimed, going back to find another pumpkin to reach into. This time, the contents was rather.... sticky. Like colored maple syrup. He made a face reaching into it, pulling out a very measly amount of tickets for the trouble. "Blegh.... Okay, I definitely need to wash my hands now..." the blue eyed male admitted, finding the nearest cleaning station they had set up to do just that. After washing his hands diligently, he then went back to try his hand at the super sized squash smash. He put a good dent in it, but it wasn't quite enough to earn the big prize. "These squash are tougher than they look, aren't they?" he commented to Lana.

Daiki scratched his ear, looking over his shoulder between playing some games. He had a sneaking suspicion someone was talking about him or something. Or maybe that was all just a myth. The Zoroark eventually shrugged it off and got back to playing games. He had better luck this time, bagging a more respectable amount of tickets than before. "What are these little pieces of paper for? Are they really worth anything?" Katsu asked, tilting his head. Daiki held up his won tickets. "You remember what I said about cash, right? Well, the exchange is similar, but these tickets can only be used at this carnival, and only in exchange for certain things." he explained. The disguised solgaleo gave a nod, finding it odd, much like he found the whole economical system of humans being odd.
Daiki's ears perked as he heard a familiar voice greeting him. He turned to look at the mega lopunny with a grin. "Ah, the sweetest of buns returns!" the disguised fox greeted Cynthia. Hopefully she didn't think poorly of him due to what happened last time. Especially with how easily he was taken down by a punch from Lana. He would very much rather his weak points be forgotten. Dallas seemed all to eager to try again after Temperance had posed her challenge. She guessed they'd just get food sometime later. Though, perhaps that would come far quicker than she imagined, as Dallas seemed to suddenly become distracted by his phone, trying to both balance on the web and read whatever it was that was on his screen, only for gravity to win in the end. Not that Dallas seemed to notice. "I'll give you a mulligan." Temperance joked. She then had a cause for concern when Dallas walked right past her, eyes still glued to his screen. "Dallas?" What was so important that he'd up and ignore her actually making a decent joke? Following after the male, she got as far as him meeting up with Meloetta, but then Epona appeared from her ball, growing rowdy. It seemed something caught her attention, but then the pony grew spooked and suddenly ran off. "E-epona!?" Temperance called, looking between the flickering flame of Epona's tail and back towards Dallas, but by the third double take, Dallas had compeltely vanished. Epona however, was still just in eyesight, currently being wrangled by Carnival security. "Damn it. Now is not the time to get separated." With a sigh, the ninja-dressed princess ran over to where Epona had finally calmed down.
Before Meloetta had to vacate the game to check on Dallas, Azalev had helped her pick out a Pumpkin, to which she won the same amount he had. Made sense, as the Pumpkins were twins. Whatever the case, when Meloetta thanked him he replied with a nod. Seemed Azalev wasn't one to use his words. Not that he had much of a chance to gather up a coherent thought, as Meloetta seemed to sense something was amiss about Dallas and quickly took her leave. Rose noticed Zadie's awe at the games, and beckoned her over to help her pick a pumpkin. "Which pumpkin do you want to choose, Zadie?" she asked. The charmander looked over the choices thoughtfully before pointing out one and going over to it. She reached in and shuddered as it felt like she had reached into worms to pull out a baggy of tickets. After she pulled out her claw from the pumpkin's insides, she found it was covered in... sauce? "Heh~ looks like you got a pumpkin full of spaghetti!" Rose giggled, crouching down with a moist napkin packet to wipe Zadie's claw clean and retrieving the tickets in the baggie pulled. Once she was clean, Zadie scampered back over to Anak'su and Anubis. "That was kind of gross! I thought it was worms that i reached into." Zadie shared her experience with her new friends, shuddering a bit.
Rose straightened up with a chuckle after cleaning up Zadie, going back over to the squash smash game with Reina. "They are pretty tough! I've been hitting them as hard as I can." Rose commented, watching as Reina managed to put a dent in a supersized squash. It wasn't broken enough for the big prize, but it certainly proved that it wasn't made of steel or something. Rose took up a bat, picking a different super sized squash to give it a shot herself, coming up with about the same result that Reina had.

After aiding Rose with a Pumpkin, Zadie returned to Anubis and Anak'su to share it had felt like to reach into one of the Pumpkins. "Spaghetti?" Anubis quirked a brow, he hadn't run across a Pumpkin like that yet. Stepping forward, he picked out a Pumpkin real quick and began searching it's innards. His was the typical Pumpkin, filled with the normal guts of a Pumpkin as well as a baggy with six tickets in it. "Defiantly not spaghetti." He noted, grabbing the tickets from the baggy and returning to their small group.
Afterward when everyone was back at the Squash Smash, Anubis slipped his winnings in with Reina's stash of tickets. He then returned to Anak'su and Zadie. Reina in the mean time, sized up her same squash, looking back towards Rose as the red-head tried as well. These were certainly some hard Squash. Resting the mallet in her hand against her shoulder she gave it a few spins before trying once more, only managing once more to get a dent in the large edible. "Well, if we're not going to get very far with these guys, why don't we look at something else this place has to offer?" Reina inquired, glancing over towards Rose. "There's a few Activités that aren't all that scary. Like the Corn Maze, or we could try our hand at making some bonbons?" Reina inquired. "Oh- I almost forgot, the Corn Maze has these mignon petit Cacturne plushies one can collect and exchange for prizes if they'd like." She explained. "Unless you favor trying those other plush-prize games?" Reina gestured towards the other games in the distance with large plushies, some even adult sized, hanging around as prizes for winning the games. Those also entailed using cash to play, however.

I could try and teach ya guys if you want!" he barked happily, bouncing a bit, before bowing down to try and get Chima to play again-- he noticed the other reciprocate before his demonstration, and he was feeling pretty excitable.

The fact that Ducky had let their conversation regarding Vince taper off hadn't gone unnoticed by Lana but she let it slide given that Ducky didn't appear to be avoiding it so much as trying to enjoy their time here at the fair instead of dumping his problems all on her. At least he seemed welcome to the idea of continuing the conversation later so she let it drop for now under the assumption that eventually they could pick it back up again at a more appropriate time and place.
For now, she laughed as Ducky argued he could play more games despite his dirty hands. "Heh~ Well s'pose I can't argue that if yer next game was jus' gonna be tryin' them pumpkins again." No point in washing hands there just to get them dirty immediately after. "If ya' say so. Try not t' touch anythin' on the way." She chuckled, though Ducky's antics had convinced her to give the game a try herself. Picking a pumpkin, Lana stuck her hand inside and gave a mixed grin of discomfort and intrigue at the strange goopy texture. The smell of peanuts gave it away though and Lana quickly found her prize—a decent sum of tickets. "Think I lucked out on this one. Peanut butter does wonders for making skin soft. Can't say I'd mind giving these calloused ol' hands'a of mine a softer feel to 'em." Lana chuckled, wiggling her peanut butter covered fingers Ducky's way as a teasing gesture before licking them off and going to wash her hands before heading to the squash smash with him.
Ducky seemed to have a hard time smashing his—not that Lana faired much better. "Yeah they've got a surprisingly durable skin. Thick and tough like a tree trunk fer some of them bigger ones." She nodded astutely. "Maybe we'd have better luck with somethin' else...? Heard they were givin' out prizes if you make it outta them haunted houses alive." She suggested, nodding over to a haunted house a little ways away.
An amused smile appeared on Cynthia's face at Daiki's response. ('You're the sweet one here, sugar~') She reached out and affectionately scritched the zoroark under his chin before turning her attention to Katsu as he introduced himself. ('We haven't, but now's a good time as any. I'd be happy to get to know you very personally.') She suggested with a wink. ('The name's Cynthia, darling.') She added.

Mitsu huffed up a bit as he and his gang of Pokepals, including the Ghost trio, walked away from the games. Turned out they wouldn't let Houndour play unless he was Mitsu's Pokemon. Even though he was fairly certain they were officially under his...guardianship? Yeah, that sounded about right. Even Akari and them didn't want to play right now. They probably felt bad that Houndour couldn't play even though it was kind of obvious he wanted to."That's a load of crap....It's not like you guys are unsupervised or anything."Well, there was still plenty to do really. There was the maze and the haunted houses (they could do that on their own). He wasn't so sure how they'd do at the baking and carving contests, but hey. For all he knew, they could be really good at that sort of thing. Speaking of the maze, he was kind of ready to check it out. Should he give Zoey a call or shoot her a text? Was she even done with her run through the maze yet?
