Howdy! The name's Iolana Keliʻi, but y'all can call me Lana. I'm a Woman with Olive Skin and Brown Eyes that match my Hair. I’m Five Feet and 6 inches tall and weigh One Hundred and Eighty Pounds, and as for my age, I'm Twenty Four years old. Romantically I like a down to earth Guy who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and do some hard work, just like my Hank~ I s'pose I speak with a bit of a country twang, but that's 'cause I grew up in Paniola Town in the Alola Region. It's where I've gotten my Work Ethic, since I help my family run a Ranch there. You have to have a lot of Self Discipline to work like that and take care of all those pokemon.

Lana has lived in Paniola Town ever since she can remember, so she's very much a small town girl who prefers a simple but fulfilled life. She is the oldest of four children, with two brothers who are 15 and 6, and a little sister who is 8, and as such, while growing up, she's had to take on the role of a third parental figure, helping to raise her siblings and help out around the house and the farm. She learned the value of hard work early on, but she never really had time to call her own, so while many children romped around free of responsibility, Lana was doing chores, looking after her siblings, and taking care of the pokemon on her family ranch. Her life wasn't all work at least. Over the years she was able to attend many fairs in town, some on her own, and some with her family. She's also made many close and long lasting friendships with a few people in Paniola since she's grown up with them, and has had a running relationship with one man by the name of Hank for a year now. She just didn't have as much free time as most.
Lana felt good about her work, she was always being praised for how helpful she was, what a good sister she was to her siblings, a good role model, or an excellent farm hand, but.... She always felt like she was missing out, like there was more to life than just working and enjoying the company of people in her town. Many of the island children, including Lana, were called by Tapu Lele to take the island challenge, but Lana remained diligent and hardworking, and stayed with her family on the farm for many years as it grew, but over time Lana grew restless watching others follow their dreams, including one of her own siblings. She had always sacrificed everything to help her family, and now that she's older, she wants to try and live a little more, and finally try to take the island challenge before she can take any other important steps in her life, like marriage or settling down, so she's going to finally travel to Melemele Island to visit Professor Kukui and get started.

Pokemon Preferences:
Lana likes farm animal pokemon the best, since that's what she's grown up raising and using, but really any animal based pokemon will do for her. She hates snake pokemon though, they have problems with snakes on her farm, and she will happily let Abigail trample any they come across. Otherwise, she doesn't really have any pokemon she dislikes in particular, she just wouldn't take on any non-animal based pokemon since she wouldn't really be sure how to handle them well, and the last thing she wants to do is mistreat a pokemon on accident.
Secrets:
There's a lot of stereotypes about how ranchers will drink alcohol and can hold their liquor well. Lana does not fall under this stereotype, she stays far away from the stuff because she's a total lightweight.
Quirks:
When Lana feels upset or depressed, she tends to become OCD about everything, becoming even more motivated to be productive and work herself harder to try and distract herself from whatever is bothering her, which is bad because she will run herself ragged and also avoid the root of the problem.

-Thunderstorms: She had a bad experience with one when she was little, where the barn was struck by lightning while she was still inside trying to calm the pokemon. It started a huge fire and Lana nearly got trapped inside, but thankfully her dad was able to rescue her before anything serious happened. However, she's gotten overwhelmingly anxious during any storm ever since.
Pet Peeves:
-Rich People: Lana tries not to judge or be biased up front, and she'll certainly give rich people a chance to make a good impression on her before she makes any conclusions, but she's found that generally the ritzy southern belles are kind of snobby and aren't willing to lift a finger to help anyone out, but then expect every one to bend over backwards for them, and Lana just can't stand that sort of attitude.
