Undated I swear, I didn't think raising a teenager would be THIS stressful. I swear, I'm surprised I have a hair left in my head after how many times I've wanted to yank it out! She'll be happy and fine one minute, then all snarly and hissy the next. I know teenagers have mood swings and all, but to go from one extreme to the next? I guess I'm just lucky. With how difficult 'Zu's become with her new size, she's still not that bad of a kid. Sure, she's had a couple of violent outbursts, but she acknowledges its wrong and feels bad, so that balances it out, right? Parenting in this day and age is a lot harder than it used to be back in the day, but I will admit its more fun. A lot more fun. Kids these days have what kids back then lacked; personality. Seriously, kids in my day, if they were of the high-class little pricks, were like mini-adults. Boring! My little 'Zu is also a mother. Apparently, a rock she got at the flea market turned into a baby. Wow... Next time we go to the flea market, I'm bringing Matthias so he can check the stuff we buy. Last thing I need is for a new sofa to turn into a toddler or a spatula morphing into an infant. Seriously; when did inanimate objects turn into kids? 'Zu's doing a good job of being a mother so far; I'm proud of her. And my grandbaby is such a sweetheart! 'Zu's also got herself a sweetheart! My little girl is growing up so fast! It seems like just yesterday she was my scratchy little toddler. Her sweetie is a nice little lady by the name of Adhara. She seems like a pretty nice girl, and as long as it makes my little 'Zu happy, I'm happy for them. While the lack of potential grandkiddos made me a little sad, I think I'll be able to cope; Adhara has a daughter named Adelle that I can smother with affection and gifts. To think, I already have two grandbabies! On a less-than-happy note, my baby's taken up sword fighting. Curse it, Matthias! What do kids in this day and age need with sword fighting? She already nearly knocked Zemel's head off with the blasted wooden sword. But, she seems to enjoy it, and she is pretty good at it. But still, I don't see why she needs to know it. I mean, I can understand teaching Zemel; he needs to toughen up a bit. But Zu? She already has a weapon: claws. Trust me, I learned this when she was little. I can still feel it if I think about it too much. Ow. Her and Zemel have been getting along nicely now that they have some common ground. They're both pretty good cooks, but now I barely get a chance to do anything in my own kitchen. But at least they're getting along. I wish the same could be said for her and Ginger. Since the "incident", they either avoid each other like the plague or engage in screaming matches. I don't see why they can't get along, and it's becoming more and more of a problem. Oh dear. Oh, and I finally got 'Zuba out of that ratty hoodie. She was pretty mad with me there for a while, but she's seemed to have gotten over that. She actually wears different clothes now! I was actually kind of shock when she wore something with color in it. I was worried she might be sick or something. I near had a heart attack when 'Zu actually asked to go shopping. I don't know what changed, but I'm hoping it's for the best. I really am.

"Mama Zu! Mama Zu!" The little snake girl pounced on the sleeping form under the covers, giggling as she felt her mother jump. "Gotted you, Mama Zu! 'Cared you! Up now? Play?" The little girl pushed herself up with her arms, bouncing a bit on her mother as she waited for her to get up. Didn't Mama know sleepy time was over now? Was play time now!
Azubahiel jolted awake as Cabonna landed on her, bolting up into a sitting position. She yawned, rubbing her eyes as she turned to look at the clock. "BonBon, it's only four in the morning...." she murmured, stretching her arms up over her head. What was it with her daughter feeling the need to wake her up at all odd hours of the night and early morning?
"Play time." Cabonna confirmed, nodding. "Fud first, then play! Peas, Mama Zu?" The little girl bounced a bit more for emphasis before giving her best cute face. Which was pretty darn cute, even at four in the morning.
'Zuba smiled a little, scooping the little girl up in her arms.

"Mama Zu, Mama Zu!" The call came from the little little girl who was pressed against the window. Cabonna looked over her shoulder at her mother, then back outside. "Mama, kitty! Mama, kitty look sad!" Why was the kitty left alone outside, sad and lonely? Zuba put her book aside, going to look to see. The spawn brushed the curtain aside, looking out into the front yard. In the street lay a little black ball of fur, meowing pitifully, it's leg mangled from what could be assumed to be a tire. Oh, the poor little thing....it'd freeze out there in the snow or get finished off by a car. "Nini...." she murmured, summoning the little shadow forth and kneeling down to it. "Nini, go gather up that cat for me, okay? Be gentle, though; it's hurt." The little shadow nodded, saluted, and headed off the get the kitty. "Mama Zu, is kitty gon' be kay?" Cabonna asked, looking up at her mother worried. Kitty was hurt? No wonder kitty was sad! "Mama Zu, I make kitty better. I kiss its booboo and hug hurt 'way!" she said, nodding once. She'd make the kitty happy again! Yes she would. She'd even give it a band-aid for it's booboo; one of the pretty ones with flowers. "Yes, will be okay." 'Zuba said, even though she wasn't sure. She'd do what she could for the cat. She looked up at Nini appeared infront her, the injured feline held gently in the shadows tiny arms. "Thank you, Nini." she said, carefully taking the cat into the kitchen to fix it up. Cabonna, with the help of Nini, followed Azubahiel into the kitchen. "I help?" she asked, looking up at the split spawn. 'Zuba shook her head silently, getting some chopsticks out of the cabinet. These would work well for a make-shift splint. She pet the cat on the head, offering it a little comfort before setting the bone. It was painful for the cat, and painful for her; the cat had one hell of a bite! Still, she managed to get everything back into place, or so she hoped, putting the chopsticks on either side. Now, for bandages... The teen looked around, trying to find something, anything, that she could use... Cabonna looked at Nini, and Nini looked at Cabonna. The two nodded, then the shadow disappeared, off to fetch the required bandages. Cabonna headed to the fridge, intent on getting some ice. Ice helped made big booboos feel better, and kitty had MAJOR boo boo! The little girl struggled with the fridge door, trying to open it. She managed to get the door to pop open, only to have it slam into her head. The little candycorn snake sniffled before bawling. Zuba looked over, mentally face-palming. What to do? If she let go of the cat, it'd move and probably hurt itself worse. On the other hand, her little girl was crying! What to do, what to- "Niii!" The spawn's train of thought was interrupted by the childish chime of her shadow, which held up a roll of bandages. 'Zuba nodded in thanks, quickly bandaging the cats legs. She went over and over it, using the entire roll of cloth bandages. She gave the cat a quick pat on the head before turning around and rushing over to scoop her little BonBon up. "Shh.....'s okay." she murmured, kissing the forming goose egg on the child's head. "It'll be okay.....shhh..." She rocked the little girl gently, trying to comfort her. Oh, the poor little dear....always getting herself hurt. "Mama Zu...we keep kitty?" Cabonna sniffled through the tears, looking up at her mom with hopeful eyes. She got a booboo trying to help the kitty, so she deserved to keep the kitty! "Pease, Mama Zu? I promise to love 'er and hug 'er and keep er happy!" 'Zuba deliberated a moment....but how could she say no to a face like that? "Yes, we'll keep the kitty." she said, smiling.

sevenofsevenmule It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:Letter Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following: Guardians Name: Child's Name: Sin: Virtue: Gender: Current Attitude: Likes: Dislikes: Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars ) Current hair style: Current clothing preferences: Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue) Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them? As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs. Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc. Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up. Thank you. You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.
(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

Zuba sat on the bench in her mom's backyard, reading a book during this rare reprieve of child wrangling. Don't get her wrong; she loved her little BonBon and Nini, but it was nice to get a break every now and then. Like now. Cabonna was busy slithering after their new cat Poolea, who ran with a limp. And Nini was.... The spawn sighed, looking up from her book.
"Niii?" the little shadow chirped, looking up at 'Zuba with her little golden eyes. Now that she had her "mother's" attention, she hugged the spawns legs, giggling and being generally cuddly. Part of this was because she was in a cuddly mood, but part of this was because she had a plan.
'Zuba smiled lightly, hugging the little shadow in return. Such a sweet little girl, when she wasn't wreaking havoc on the household. She wasn't bad, she just didn't seem to understand that stealing was wrong and couldn't seem to help herself. Poor little dear; Azubahiel was pretty sure that her little Nini tried to be a good girl.
Nini smiled, pulling away before waddling off at top speed. She got it! She got it! The little shadow had a MP3 player clutched in her stubby little fingers as she ran. Someone was becoming quite the little pickpocket. Now she could listen to music! Yay!
Azubahiel blinked a moment, confused before she fished around in her pockets. Her face went blank as she realized what was missing. "Nini! Get back here!" the spawn yelled, leaping to her feet as she dashed off after the little black jelly being. "Give that back!"
The little shadowy toddler giggled; ooh, this was such a fun game! "Niiii! Nini ni niiii!" she chanted over her shoulder as she ran, little dumpling feet skidding across the grass as she rounded the corner, gripping her ill-gotten prize.
Though 'Zuba couldn't understand a word the shadow had said, she knew taunting when she heard it. She rounded the corner, eyes widening as the ground came up to meet her in a rather painful salute. She had tripped over Nini, who was huddled on the ground.
"Ni!" the little shadow said, ignoring the fact that she'd tripped the spawn she thought of as her mother as she held her newest shiny out to her, showing off. Between stubby little fingers was a shiny soda-can tab. "Nini niii~" she purred, giggling before dashing into the house.
Azubahiel sighed before pushing herself off of the grassy ground, brushing grass and dirt off of her. And here she'd been thinking today would have been a nice, quiet, easy day. How silly of her. She headed back around the house to gather Cabonna; she could chase after the shadow once they were inside. Ugh, Mondays.

Dear Diary;
Quite a lot has happened since I last wrote in you! I am really neglecting you, I know, but I have been so busy lately! From Cabonna switching genders on me to dealing with a kleptomaniac of a shadow and moving, I've had barely any time to write!
Cabonna, my darling little girl, is now a dashing little boy. Apparently, she drank a vial of unknown liquid and it fas swapped her gender. I was so scared when it first happened, cause neither Mom nor I knew what she had gotten into or if it'd have any other adverse side affects. After calling Uncle Matthias and making sure BonBon was okay, Mom went to get him new clothes. I called Ebby for her advice; her opinion was really comforting. BonBon seemed to take a shine to her and has even dubbed her Auntie.
Mother and I are still trying to figure out where the potion came from, but the bottle we found didn't give us many clues. Mom seems really worried about this, even if she tries not to show it. She has been a bit stricter on house-wide security; she had locks installed in the outer doors.
Nini has been, well, Nini. She's accumulated a small horde of shiny objects and valuables in the corner of my room. I have no idea where she keeps getting them all; they don't belong to anyone I know. To be completely honest, Diary, I am afraid to find out where her trinkets are obtained from. I think she gets them during the period that she's gone, but I can't be sure.
I have also been busy moving. Yes, Diary, moving. Dearest Adhara asked me to move in with her, and I accepted. Mother got all teary eyed when I told her; apparently I am growing up so fast. She has already told me umpteen times that we can get groceries and other stuff from home if we need it and to take care. It's going to be awkward, not having the big family dinners in Mother's dining room with everyone. I am really going to miss spending time with them all; hopefully I can still make it over there for video games every Friday.
Uncle Matthias presented me with a right-of-passage gift; a beautiful silver claymore. Since I am moving, lessons aren't going to be as frequent, but they won't be stopping anytime soon. Uncle Matthias has got to be the best Uncle in all of Gaia. He is like a father to me; more so than Mother's boy. Zee's nice and all, but I don't have much interaction with him. The younger kids and Nataya do, but not me. But, that's okay; he probably wouldn't like me anyways.
That is all I have for now, Diary. Until next time.
- Azubahiel Izevel

Oh, why do I bother writing dates down? Does it really matter? My baby's grown up so fast...I don't like it. It seems like just yesterday she was my little unruly toddler, clawing up my arm and causing a huge increase in bandaid-buying in our house. Now, she's my beautiful girl, moving out with a kid of her own. She's even applying for her first job! She's not even two years old yet...what happen to kids waiting till they hit twenty or so to move out? Kids are growing up way too quickly these days, I swear. It's not that I don't think she can handle it; I know full and well she can. My 'Zuba's a smart girl, even if she refuses to see it, and adapts well to new situations, siblings aside. She's got good mothering instincts, and the patience of a saint. ( Okay, so the patience thing is iffy, but she tries! ) The thing is, I don't want to let her go. She's still my baby girl, and the house will feel emptier without her. It's going to be odd not seeing her in the kitchen with Zemel in the mornings, or watching Nataya draw in the afternoons. I'm even going to miss the spats between her and Ginger. She said she's going to visit often, but I'm still going to miss her. I'm going to fix up a care package of groceries and other household necessities for Zuzu and Adhi, and some toys for BonBon, Delle, and Nini. ( Can't say I'll miss Nini; maybe I'll be able to find some of my jewelry now. ) Zemel said he's going contribute some cookies and a cake, and Nattie's offering up some books for them. Ginger refuses to chip anything in, stubborn girl. I hope Zuzu settles into her house okay, and I hope she doesn't get too homesick. Till later, Diary. - Stasia
