Sera's short life had not seemed to have gone very well so far, although aside from being homeless and having a horrible parent, there wasn't a lot else. Regardless, that was still pretty bad. The little half-snake was currently staring up at a toy store with wide, pupilless green eyes, wishing that he could get something from it. After his first attempt at stealing resulting in a bunch of mean people manhandling him, he knew that taking things without trading for them was bad, but he didn't have anything to trade; all he had was his blanket and underwear, and he used the blanket as clothes. Well, he had that and a little tin cup. But still.
Pouting softly, he sighed and turned, flopping onto the ground in front of the store and wrapping himself in his blanket. Holding out the tin cup, he made the best sad eyes that he could at all of the passing people. He was lucky to be as young as he was, because in this case, no one would be able to tell him to get a job or go back to school, though a few tried to turn him in to child protective services...

"BonBon, get back here!" a certain exasperated spawn said, jogging after the little girl who, managing to slip out of her stroller while her mother was looking at a passing car, slithered her way down the sidewalk. Seriously. She was never going near flea markets again. EVER. Ever ever. She loved her little Cabonna to bits, but....dear gods.
"TOYS!" Cabonna chirped, giggling like mad as she made her way down the sidewalk towards her destination. She paused at the doorway, looking over at the little boy who sat there. She paused a moment, assessing him a moment before launching herself at him. "PRETTIES!" she squealed, giggling as she glomped the boy. "You has prettie colors. Pretty pretty pretty~"

(( From email )) lux AE T E R N A__x x Seraophin was too preoccupied holding his tin cup up to passerbys to notice the little girl who was staring at him. He looked into his cup, trying to remember what number each coin was despite how few he had- it was the first thing he'd learned, how to count money. His father was very monetary-oriented, not a surprise given they were homeless. Big surprise. He frowned softly into the cup and sighed softly, not expecting the assault that was to come.
Seraophin squealed when he was tackled, coins flying everywhere as he fell from his perch. Neon green eyes widened and he thrashed a bit, glad that his blanket was still mostly covering him up. He calmed down a little bit later and smiled at the Senka awkwardly. "Think so? Like yo' gween haiws!" Sera replied, smiling happily at the girl now. "Yo' pwetties, too!!"

Cabonna nodded, before eyes falling on the spilled coins. "Oooh! You dropped shinies!" she exclaimed, giggling as she scrambled off him, wriggling about the sidewalk as she picked the shinies up. "I help!" she proclaimed proudly, putting the shinies in the pretty's cup.
"I Cabonna. What Pretty's name?" she asked, listening as she continues to help pick up shinies; coins, bottle caps, and other metal tidbits on the sidewalk.

Seraophin gasped when he was told that the coins had been dropped, having not quite realized it at that point, and jumped up, tying his blanket as best he knew how around his waist. Quick as the girl who'd tackled him, he started gathering his coins and dropping them into his shiny little cup. He looked up and grinned at the girl's name, showing off pointed, ferretty teeth.
"Pretty name, 'Bonna! Is Ser-a-o-phin," the hybrid said slowly, smiling big at the Senka and swishing his long tail across the ground, unintentionally pulling more coins and other metallic things across the ground, which he promptly pounced on and gathered before lifting his cup and looking around, pupilless green eyes falling on Cabonna. "D'yo' have enny monies?" he asked then, stretching the cup out at the girl with a cute and hopeful smile on his face.

The pink little snake giggled. "Thanks! Your name pretty too! Yay pretties!" she exclaimed, emphasizing this with a clap of her hands. She paused, then shook her head. "No. Momma Zu dun let me carry moniez or shinies cause I ated one." she said, looking sad. It had looked so nummy and shiny; how could Momma Zu have blamed her? Pennies looked delectable! The little snake meeped as she was suddenly scooped up into the air by a certain spawn.
"There you are!" Zu said, sighing in relief. "What have I told you? No running off like that. You could have-" She paused, noticing the other little one. "Hello there." she greeted, kneeling to his level. She glanced around; she didn't see any parentals around. Odd.

Seraophin giggled and stuck his tongue out at the girl, giggling and swishing his tail across the ground happily. "Nah, silly! M'name is too long!!" he stated matter-of-factly, gasping when he noticed that his tail was helping him gather his coins back. Using that to his advantage for the last couple, he giggled at the idea that someone would try to eat a penny.
"Silly, 'Bonna, pennies innit-" he was cut off by the appearance of the spawn, looking up with big, pupilless green eyes, squeaking and slinking back against the little wall of the toy store, ducking down and hiding behind his blanket from the woman, as though afraid that she was going to steal him away or get mad at him for talking to Cabonna or something. He wiggled his fingers nervously over the edge of the blanket. "H'llo..."

Cabonna grinned, giggling. "It not too long. It juss right!" she said, clapping her hands together for emphasis. She then looked up at her mother, hugging her. "Mamazu!" she chirped, laughing. "Mamazu, this new friend Sirafin! Sirafin, this is my Mamazu!" She smiled brightly, thoug her smile faded a bit. "Why hiding?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
Zuba hugged her daughter before offering the boy a smile. "Hello." she greeted, her tone gentle. From what she could tell, the poor boy didn't seem to have any clothes. She sat Cabonna back down, ruffling the child's hair. The spawn then proceeded to take her jacket off, holding it out to the yellow boy. "Here." she said, smiling.
