Xibalba Squire of Mars Location: I7 Action: Attacking the snake Total: 10 + 5 HP: 90/125
Xibalba couldn’t have spoken for who had conjured what, though, it wasn’t that hard to determine if you just looked at the gathered groups. Each had contributed in their own ways.
Though he still absolutely hated what the Negaverse had conjured up.
Looking up at the snake’s body and claws, the Mars squire shook his head in wonder. All that damage and it was still so big that the head couldn’t be seen! And it was still fighting to move. He’d seen the spike go flying once the Hallow had crashed and felt some satisfaction. If all the spikes could be placed, that would trap the damned beast. Or he’d been led to assume such. Which made the ones holding the spikes very important. If the Hallow got enough wits back, it might seek out the ones who held the keys to it being shut away. Therefore, the spike holders had to be defended.
Summoning his sling, the knight wasn’t sure how effective his little fireballs would be. He didn’t think that the Hallow was Chaos-infused. It was something that just… was. Still, no one enjoyed being hit with fire.
“Hold fast, lassie,” he rumbled at the winged girl. “We’ll do our best by ye!”
Quote:
While channeling, Xibalba is able to summon tiny, pebble sized fireballs and sling them at the enemy. When they touch the skin of the guilty (Chaos infused), they leave easily ignored burns (think 1st degree or light sunburn-ish). They are more of a nuisance-y sting. Total allotted channeling time is 25 seconds.
Captain Strengite Location: B2 Action: Throwing her daggers at the the giant 'snick' Total: 6+5= 11 HP: 125-35= 90HP
"Sir," She smiled a little tightly at the gregarious General King. It was hard to be completely at ease and flirty with him with the entire world hanging in the balance. "Yes, her majesty had quite an effect on us all," She had a headache throbbing at the base of her skull due to the flash of magic from the Queen, but it was better then the danger that was quite literally hanging over all of their heads right that moment.
When s**t started to happen all Strengite could do was look over at General King Lepodolite and rise a brow. What did he know that the rest of them didn't? Not that it really mattered since the attack had dragged the giant snake down towards them, straining the shield protecting them all from being squashed and sending massive amounts of energy whipping through her. Strengite bit her lip to keep from crying out, tasting the coppery flavor of her blood as she breathed heavily through her nose and only wavered a bit on her feet.
Once the flash of pain had faded the captain wiped her mouth on her gloved wrist, glad the red fabric helped disguise some of the bright red blood from her lip, and unsheathed her daggers. They were mere splinters considering the creature's size but she was going to do her damnedest to draw blood. With a growl of anger and frustration she threw the first dagger, followed by the second one in quick succession.
The Space Cauldron
She wants to know what he knows XD also disregard the blood, she is stronger then she looks. or she will damn well act like she is ^_^'
Super Sailor Namaka Location: E10 Action: Choosing to attack the snake Total: 5 + 5 HP: 90/125 As she watched the monstrous snake fall onto the shield, Namaka shuddered. It was unimaginably large, even if the various hits had shrunken it some. But along with being slightly smaller, it acted dazed. And it was hurt. She could maybe help hurt it more.
Not that she really wanted to hurt anything or anyone. But this was very much a case of needing to consider the greater good. Turning to the two senshi who’d spoken kindly to her, she mustered a tiny smile as she stepped away from the larger group. She didn’t want to risk any getting caught in the crosshairs of her magic.
“Don’t get too close to me,” she said. “Just to be safe, okay?”
Then, closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and called up her magic before her eyes flew open and she unleashed it. “Frenzied jaws!”
Quote:
This attack can be cast a maximum of once per battle and lasts 20 seconds. The radius spreads out a bit more to encompass Namaka and one opponent (about 3-5'). As before, Namaka is covered in a magical overlay similar to shark's skin. However, this time the overlay is accompanied by the sensation of ghostly shark bodies knocking into Namaka and her opponent. Effects are the same as above in regards to Namaka's dentricle "skin" however, mild bruising is now possible due to the ghostly sharks.
Super Sailor Orcus Location: H9 Action: Using her laughably impractical magic to attack the big snek Total: 8 + 5 HP: 90/125
Moving in closer, Orcus flashed a smile that was more like a baring of teeth at Remarque before laughing.
“You’re very funny. But no, I think not,” she replied. Then, as she watched the giant arrow, she said, “My, you have been busy, but it is rather impressive.”
She couldn’t imagine how the Court had managed that little showing and she knew better than to think that her former Prince would take the time to explain. It was slightly less alarming than Laurelite’s little trick, anyway. And not quite as comforting as the sparkling beam of moonlight that struck the Hallow shortly after the bolt. It seemed they were all managing to help weaken the thing. But as the Hallow crashed into the shield above, she grimaced. This wasn’t over yet. And as the Cauldron hadn’t seen fit to give her anything useful like healing or sheilding, she would have to do what she could with what she had.
Even though she wasn’t at all sure that her magic could find the Hallow’s head when she couldn’t even see it.
“You know,” she murmured, “I’m not really sure that drowning is a particularly useful magic set when one’s opponent is an eldritch terror. But I’ll give it a go. Drowning’s Touch…”
She felt the air around her grow a little drier and hoped that there would be enough moisture to be effective. There were certainly plenty of clouds around. In theory it would work to some degree.
Quote:
Orcus is able to pull water from her surroundings. The mist is slightly more substantial now and takes on a shifting, blob-like form. The attack lasts up to 20 seconds and this time, the blob-like water seeks to envelop the target's head. The effects to the victim are similar to her first attack (makes breathing difficult, as if the victim is in an especially humid environment. Sensations of pressure making it hard to draw a full breath are common as is some choking and coughing (think along the lines of swallowing a drink wrong)), just slightly intensified. From a visual standpoint, it almost looks as though the target is floating in deep water.
Lieutenant Wadeite Location: A6 Action: Moving from A5 down to A6 before throwing his 'weapon' at the dragon thing Total: 4 ((No power modifier)) HP: 100-35= 65HP
He had been standing there quietly watching the 'show', it wasn't like there was much he could do anyway. At least not at that time. But when the dragon snake thing landed on the shield and that bolt of power raked his insides even Wade realized that he had to at least do something.
Even if it wasn't much.
The Lieutenant stumbled forward, noting a familiar figure right by him. Each step closer to the humanoid figure of a cat girl was steadier then the last. Even if his head was throbbing like a drum. He paused only once to throw each little magnetic rings that he had as a weapon. It wasn't much but it was something he knew he could keep summoning back to him. A kind of endless throwing weapon. It wouldn't do anything. Next to nothing.
But it was better then just standing there slack jawed and useless.
"Katya," He croaked out in greeting, even his cracked and rough voice making his head throb.
Desperate to be helpful, to be useful in the face of the end of the world, Saiph did her best to not look as terrified as she felt. Sure, she wasn’t exactly a little kid anymore, but this was so far beyond anything she’d ever been through. It was overwhelming. But everyone around her was ready to fight and do what they could.
How could she behave any differently?
Carefully taking a step away from the winged senshi, since she wasn’t sure what her magic was going to do, she looked up at the Hallow’s body. It was bigger than anything she could have imagined. What could a chibi do against something like this? Still, didn’t she have to try?
Of course, she did. And she would.
Keeping her eyes on the snake above, Saiph whispered for her magic even as she was swinging her arm to show it where to go.
“Primal slash!”
Quote:
Able to be summoned twice per battle and lasting up to 20 seconds each use, Saiph is once again able to call upon a faintly glowing magical energy. However, this time, the shoving force is more nebulous in shape as it moves more swiftly and can now deliver the sensation of slashing/biting wounds to an enemy. Saiph is able to target one person per attack and while still not terribly dangerous, the slashes and bites resemble wounds a little deeper than a bad papercut or puppy/kitten bites. Mildly painful and annoying, but hardly life threatening as they fade when the magic ends.
Sailor Iapetus Location: Moving into G6 from G7 Action: Using her magic to provide a mental buff to the first person she sees. Which happens to be Brangäne Total: 3 HP: 65/100
Iapetus really wasn’t sure what was going on at this point. Everything seemed to be happening so fast and there was almost too much going on. So she was on the move. She’d considered her choices for places to make a possible last stand and had decided that the smaller groups of grown a** adults was probably her best bet. They looked capable and willing to fight.
They’d do.
Running towards then, she flinched down slightly as the ******** snake crashed into the shield above and thrashed about. Well, they weren’t crushed, but having a massive damn monster up there probably wasn’t good for any of them unless something was done. And she had magic that might help with that.
Calling it up with a muttered, “Ruthless touch!”, she grinned a little at the silvery bit of energy that appeared before ‘throwing’ it at the closest of the group, a rather interesting looking senshi.
“Catch! Trust me!”
Quote:
Summons amorphous blob of silver energy that, when used upon herself or an ally, provides a mental boost that blocks out irrelevant thoughts and emotions, allowing them to feel ruthlessness towards an enemy and do what must be done with minimal hesitation. 3 uses per battle, each instance lasts 25 seconds.
Mara, Senshi of Manchineel Location: I3 Action: Moving from I4 up to I3 before using her magic and crossing her fingers it works properly ((And regretting her decision)) Total: 1 HP: 100-35= 65HP
Everything hurt. She thought she had been prepared for the pain, hell the general ache she still felt after that blast of chaotic energy was nothing compared to the bolt of shear burning that whipped through her when the creature crash landed on the shield above them all.
Mara looked over at her cousin and saw him on the ground, likely struggling with the surging power more so then anyone else there. And yet she saw Stitchite with him, their cousin that was equal in power to Beni. Diabolite was there, still so much stronger then she was, even if he wasn't quite the same level as Beni or Stitch. Even Miyamoto was stronger and better suited to help him then she was.
After a moment of looking down at her hands and weighing the options, Mara came to a decision. She gestured for Miyamoto or the other corrupt to take her guarding position around Beni before she stepped away. "Yell at me later," She smiled softly, if a bit sadly, at Beni. She was banking on the fact that her magic was temporary. It wasn't going to kill her, even if it hurt like a mofo. Besides... he had quite a bit to answer to as well. Even if Stitchite was already reading him the riot act.
After taking a bracing breath the senshi strode into the space away from everyone. Making sure they were well away from any damage she might cause, and tried to use her attack magic against the creature above them all, "Little Apple of Pain". It was so large she wasn't sure how it would even feel the pain from her attack but she knew she needed to try... it was the only thing she could do that the others couldn't.
She regretted her decision when her magic practically backfired. Yes, it worked like it was intended but she also was impacted by some of the splatters of sap. The burning, blistering sensation of the sap rapidly spreading up her arms where the sap had landed. She hissed in pain and balled up her hands into fists to keep from clawing at her own skin while trying to scrape the sap off.
Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Little Apple of Pain When Mara flicks her fingers at opponents that are within ten feet of her, a white milky sap is flung from her fingers. This can be avoided, but it is hard to notice the sap.
Only if the sap comes in contact with her opponents will a reaction occur. Any spot the sap comes in contact with, especially exposed skin, will start to feel like it is blistering and burning for the thirty seconds the magic lasts. It will be exceedingly worse at the location the sap touches. If the skin is protected by clothing there will still be a feeling of burning and a rash but it will not be as bad as it could be if it was on bare skin. The effects will fade at the end of the magic but players can choose to take lasting damage if they like.
This attack has up to three uses in each battle and lasts up to thirty seconds for each attack.
((Late blooming senshi: When a character awakens between age 21-27, their magic will, for a period of time, be erratic and more difficult to control as they adapt to the harbored energy they have just unleashed. Their magic will fluctuate between being weaker or stronger than how it was stamped, or their magic may manifest in abnormal ways, such as by attacking the wrong target, or manifesting with a more powerful effect but at the cost of reduced uses or draining the senshi to near exhaustion. These oddities may be handwaved but should be ICly noted by the character.))
Mauvian Cuán Oileán Location: I7 Action: Firing her laser to attack the snake Total: 9 HP: 65/100
Pacing on the ground, Cuan considered her options. As a cat without a humanoid form, she really didn’t have a lot of options for fighting big monsters. She could hardly scratch or bite the silly thing! Which left her one option, really. Well. So be it.
Looking around at the gathered group, she settled on Xibalba as the tallest and leapt to stand upon his head.
“Hold still for a moment, you a**,” she hissed. Then, once sure of her footing, she looked up as the body above them all. It was all the same, wasn’t it. Except for those arms. Deciding on her target, she fired her forehead beam at one of the Hallow’s clawed feet.
Sailor Tempesti Location: E10 - C9 (Diagonal left then straight left)
Action: Being very dramatic over rolling a 1 Total: 1+1 (Authorized bonus) + 10 (Almadel's Pin)=12 HP: 64
Her brief conversation with Sailor Hela had done little to enlighten her on the nature of the Dark Mirror Court, but the weapon they called forth was remarkable in its power. Plus, the fact that it didn’t seem inclined to hurt everyone around it made her a bit less likely to find it an offense to every part of her. Which was a significant upside as far as she was concerned.
The sight of the moonlight piercing the veil of clouds before impaling the Cantankerous Hollow was enough to break Tempesti’s focus for a few brief seconds. For a fleeting, vindictive moment she wished she could it see it make that Chaos witch squirm before guilt nipped at the back of her mind. You’d think that in the face of a possible apocalypse and cosmic intervention it would be easier to shake off these feelings.
She forced her eyes to the sheer gleaming beauty of the beam, the sky beyond the wall of clouds. The promise of what they could reclaim if they just took this thing down. She had no illusions about the longevity of this paper thin ceasefire of course, but even though they mostly seemed to be working next to each other (rather than with each other), she found the knowledge that for now they had a common goal slightly reassuring. Assuming it didn’t turn into a bloodbath as soon as they downed the monster.
It seemed that the power they’d granted the crystal had been enough to make a dent in the b*****d. Whatever the marital status of the creature’s parents was, she thought it deserved the title.
Fascination and horror in equal measure welded her gaze to the monster’s shrinking, increasingly amorphous form as it plummeted downward. She could pity it once their world was safe.
Tempesti couldn’t hold back the pained grunt that wheezed forth as the lightning coursed through her body, doubling over with the overwhelming force of the creature’s power. The sensation crackled through every nerve, skittering beneath her skin in a roar of untamed energy that screamed for release. Staggering as far from others as her failing legs could carry her and unsure if she could actually harm the thing, she erupted.
“Bitter blast!”
The surging force within her screamed forth in an overwhelming gust of wind and lightning, senses flooded with shearing night air. Shadows of shadows cast by dim, distant torches trailed the ghost of ancient smoke as deathly terror ripped the air from her lungs.
Then it was gone, the pain subsiding as the lightning dispersed all but harmlessly into the air. It didn’t seem to have done her any lasting damage. The flopping monster in the sky didn’t seem much worse for her strike, but at least she didn’t seriously injure anyone else.
Corrupt Super Sailor Ilmarë Location: I7 Action: Attacking the snake and hoping she doesn’t make things worse Total: 2 + 5 HP: 90/125
From where she sat, Ilmare watched a little sadly as everyone else spoke. She suspected that she wasn’t terribly welcome, but she wanted to help them so very much. She watched as both arrow and moonbeam struck the snake and felt her eyes go wide. Well! At least that meant that Laurelite wasn’t quite the strongest player on the board. And the shield was holding, in spite of the massive world eating snake lying atop it.
She wanted to help. They had a chance of directly attacking the Hallow now. She couldn’t just sit and do nothing.
Getting to her feet, she thought a moment. She wasn’t sure what sort of things a Calamitous Hallow would find fantastical. She could only hope it wouldn't be anything terribly alarming. But there were the others here to consider as well. She couldn’t risk them being splashed by Space Lobster Juice. Taking a few steps away, she waved to catch Ekstrom’s eye.
“I’m going to try my magic. Try to keep away by about five or so feet and you guys should be safe. I don’t know how it’ll effect that thing, but I have to try, right?”
Cupping her hands, Ilmare whispered, “Fairy bells knell.” Soon enough, the little cup of shimmering white liquid rested there, just waiting for her to throw it. She had to do this so carefully to avoid hitting any people… Finally, she saw an opportunity and leapt into the air, throwing the contents of the cups out as hard as she could. Amazingly, she seemed to have managed to avoid splashing anyone by the snake.
Maybe she’d get lucky and it would only hurt itself if her magic actually affected it.
Quote:
Ilmarë cups her hands and speaks her attack. This time, however, a slightly larger harebell cup is summoned. She again throws the contents of the cup at her opponent. This time, the hallucinations ramp up a little in intensity, but continue to be of a fantastical nature. The effects last for 30 seconds, but should any of the liquid go into the eyes or mouth, the hallucinations are prolonged by 10 seconds. Able to use three times per battle with a splash radius of 5' allowing for up to two people to be affected.
He shot once, but it didn’t matter. It didn’t change what happened on the hilltop, when the Senshi in brown and blue (Oberon) took back Caedus’ starseed; he, like his allies, had left them stranded with no other options and nothing to offer but pious judgment and empty platitudes.
The Commodore’s nod should have been reassuring. It wasn’t, because the Knight (Andronicus) came after.
Cydfae’s death was not a memory Vyn liked to dwell on. He had done his mourning, then he’d packed away the bodysuit he’d worn that night, stained with Cydfae’s blood, so he neither had to see it nor part with the evidence of what happened. He had forced himself to refocus. They’d still had their mission, more dire then than it had been before. Emotion was an impediment. Vyn struggled with it more than others, but he’d made a valiant effort. The Commodore needed them at their best. Velencya needed them at their best.
Vyn had never been disappointed in the Commodore for attempting to return Caedus’ starseed to the Cauldron. Back then, there had seemed to be no other option. Even now, after three additional years in which to find another solution, they had little if anything to show for it. They had their research, their various projects, some promising but none, to Vyn’s knowledge, that offered an alternative to Caedus. The Vanguard persisted anyway. They worked for their own benefit, but the Earth’s as well. They helped and sacrificed for those who would not do the same for them unless that sacrifice fit within their moral parameters, as if they had not spent countless years already slaughtering one another before slaughtering the Vanguard too.
Vyn was disappointed now, because the Knight, as far as he was concerned, was not necessary. She came, she gave her energy, and she went with her lies and her false virtue. The Commodore’s guarded look was, for Vyn, not a reassurance. The Commodore’s nobility was, as ever, admirable, though perhaps not as irreproachable as Vyn once believed.
Vyn would never be a match for that honor. He lowered his rifle and did not shoot again.
The rest occurred as if in a dream Vyn couldn’t seem to wake from. An arrow. A beam of iridescent light. The fall of a great beast. Vyn ducked and secured his footing, but the pain that followed was immaterial—far less than the rending of his heart.
The shield held, for now.
Vyn swallowed. He had to move, to act, to recalibrate somehow. The moment he’d felt useful for had arrived, yet he had never felt less inclined for combat than he did now. The Negaverse had their Queen to unleash their Chaos. The White Moon, or Order, or whatever imprecise name they chose to call themselves, had their self-centered miracles. The Dark Mirror—perhaps the least offensive of them all, in Vyn’s current estimation—had their arrow.
The Vanguard had each other.
“I’m going to find Lysanna,” Vyn announced. “Stay with the Commodore,” he added specifically for Aliez.
The Commodore had previously accepted they might split up, so Vyn had not noticed her missing. In all the stress and commotion, her voice over the ComTech had been a distant thing. In his current state of dismay, Vyn wasn’t even sure he’d heard her properly, but he latched onto the task like a lifeline.
“Lysanna,” he called back to her through his ComTech. “Head toward the center and I’ll rendezvous with you.”
He didn’t wait for permission. He took off, presumably on his own, though he would stop no others from joining him so long as enough remained to defend the shield. The faster Lysanna was returned to them, the safer she would be.

If you're in the Vanguard square (sorry for this quote if you're not anymore), please make sure your quotes are working! I haven't been getting most of the notices and it hasn't always been because my name is wrong, so I assume others might not be getting some too! crying
Page 1, Page 19, Page 32, Page 45 Location: F3 Action:Staying with Lyndin. Using his shield for those he can in F3. Total: 3 + 10 = 13 HP: 150 - 35 = 115
Aliez watched as the Senshi (Oberon) was shot by Vyn before he could get closer. He remembered that Senshi. He had struggled with Lyndin for Caedus’ starseed.
Aliez had never saw the result of it. He’d blacked out--
Because Cydfae had been killed in front of them, and he hadn’t been able to handle the shock.
Cydfae had been killed because of her.
Aliez froze at the sight of the Knight (Andronicus). He’d already lowered his shield on Lyndin’s orders, but his instinct was to immediately put it back up again.
He didn’t. He couldn’t. He felt frozen in place as fearful tears filled his eyes.
He was told to help the Senshi that Vyn shot, but couldn’t move his feet. He suddenly felt like an injured deer in the sights of a hungry wolf — someone who had no sympathy or remorse for their actions. No attempt at understanding or apology. To slaughter one of the Vanguard was just another day to them.
Because that was Velencian history, wasn’t it? To be captured and subdued and forced to do others’ bidding or be killed. And be killed.
It wasn’t until his lungs were screaming at him that Aliez realized he hadn’t been breathing. He quickly sucked in a new breath to ease his already frozen body.
He watched as Lyndin approached her and took her energy. He watched as she left.
With the immediate threat gone, he could see the others around them. Andreiya and Caelyna. Fangnyl and Naeria and Daesva all helping to collect energy. He was grateful to them, even if his voice was too lost at the moment.
The blast of a mirror faceted arrow and chain, and the beam of light through the clouds shook him out of his daze for the moment. But he couldn’t quite erase the image of Cydfae’s body, broken and dying. The collision of the serpent on top of the shield shook him a little more, and he ducked down, holding his arm and vambrace above him, using his shield on instinct even if the shield Lyndin created held. For now.
Lyndin had said it wouldn’t last for long.
Aliez felt the shockwave pulse through him like an electrical charge. He let out a sob of pain, but quickly gritted his teeth against it.
“Vyn!” he choked out as his friend ran off to look for Lysanna. He blinked away the tears in his eyes, not wanting to imagine Vyn running into anyone who wanted to cause them harm.
Vyn asked him to stay with the Commodore. Would he be useful until the actual shield broke? Would he just be in the way then? Aliez felt gutted and broken, but he took a step back towards the Commodore. Aliez didn’t look him in the eye. He didn’t want to accidentally let Lyndin see the hurt he felt. He knew why Lyndin did it. Lyndin wanted to protect them.
But he thought--
He’d hoped that Lyndin really did think they could hold their own. That they could carry their own weight.
Silently, Aliez tapped into the energy from the vambrace and put his domed shield up around himself, the device, Lyndin, and whoever else was close enough.

Commander Weapon: A vambrace that can be converted into a large energy shield dome. It can deflect major physical and magical attacks, and convert those attacks into energy that can be absorbed by Vanguardian Source Stones. Up to four others can comfortably fit inside the dome with him. Each time the shield is hit, massive energy discharge serves as a counter to whomever is attacking, and will massively disorient them. Can be used for up to ten seconds and needs ten seconds to recharge.
