Feeling a bit Fat Tall
Valens was starring down at the scale that he was standing on and his ears flicked back and forth as he waited for it to stop counting upward, "I think I'm gaining weight..." He said to Ellie who was sitting a short distance away, watching as he tried to suck in his non existent gut as though that would help him to make himself lighter.
Ellie pushed to her feet, trotting over so that she could look down at the scale, watching the numbers as they finally started to slow down and her eyes widened slightly, "Hmm... you do seem heavy." She murmured, looking him up and down. He didn't look as though he were out of shape though, one could see the definition in his muscles and given he was standing on the scale in nothing but his shorts since clothing added more weight she knew he didn't have rocks in his pockets or spare change from when he last went to the arcade... her boy was just... heavy.
"Maybe the scale is busted." He muttered, shifting back and forth starring at them numbers as they proclaimed him to be nearing two hundred pounds, "Not like I eat bad." Sure he had snacks here and there but he was also a vegetarian and worked out every day, he had a regiment for crying out loud... Got up, did some running, came home, ate breakfast, an hour of naginata practice so he didn't get rusty, a shower, then from there it was random... sit ups, push ups, he'd gotten a set of weights to help to hone his strength and power up his muscles... not that he really needed it, the only thing he couldn't do were pull ups... maybe this would explain why.
"Well... you are getting tall." Ellie said, looking up at him and gave a soft sighing sound. She was growing as well but she worried she would never be able to carry him like she'd seen some dragons do with their children. She was still far to small to carry his bulk.
Valens lifted a hand up to hold it up over his head, "Hmm... wonder how tall I am." He murmured. Maybe his height would help to determine whether or not this weight were natural or not. He hopped down off of the scale and trotted over to the door frame, "Ok, I am gonna stand against this. You use a claw to make a mark over my head."
Ellie watched him as he stood against the doorframe and she walked over, pushing up onto her backfeet and rose up as high as she could, up onto her tip toes and reached up to make the mark and then sat back down, "And this will prove...?"
"Well now I just need a tape measure." He said, leaving the bathroom seeming to forget he was running around in just his shorts as he went to the utility drawn in the kitchen. He was digging around in it when he heard the clearing of a throat behind him. His ears flicked back and forth before he looked over his shoulder, "Eh?" He blinked a couple times seeing his father and held up the tape measure, "Wanna see how tall I am." He explained.
"And your in your underwear in the kitchen because of that?" He asked, walking over to the fridge.
Valens blinked a couple times, looked down, then gave a laugh, "Ahhhhahahaha... oops..." He turned on a hoof and bolted out of the kitchen, back to the bathroom so that he could measure the distance between the floor and the marking, "Hmmm... Wow, well... I guess that I am getting bigger then just in weight." He sounded rather relieved, he didn't want to get fat... it would mean that he was getting lazy as well, "Huh, already passed six foot... wonder when that happened." He couldn't really recall the last time he'd been measured but this would explain why his pants were looking rather like high waters... he would need to go through the torture that was clothing shopping again, something he wanted to avoid when at all possible but given he was down to sweats he would suffer through it.
"Well I gotta get dressed then we will decide what we want to do today." He said, heading for his room with Ellie following along in his overly excited wake.
She gave a soft, sighing sound as she followed. Her boy was a tank... and she was still so small... did that mean that she wasn't going to make a good partner for him? Her wings wilted a little at the thought and she sat in front of the door to his room in silence while he dressed. She found herself really wanting to talk to Hinder or Red, maybe they could tell her if she were to small or not...

Landing On Ones Head
If there was one thing he was good at it was that which was physical hence why when it came to climbing up a tree for a good cause as well as to help a rather cute girl he was all for it and climbing happily up the tree in front of him. It was a massive thing and Ellie wasn't pleased but he didn't mind at all since she often disapproved of the things that he did that chanced him getting himself hurt. Climbing trees though was something he was good at and he didn't really think that he was going to get hurt. Instead his eyes were on the prize of sort, a large, fluffy, orange colored cat that was sitting up in the high branches of the tree, preening. He gave a grin as he made his way up the tree. He felt like a hero, heroes were the sort that went up trees to save cats rather like the fire fighters from the television.
He was sure that Ellie wished he would watch more of it and do less of the dangerous things that he had fun doing or less wandering around when he had the same sense of direction of a rock... which meant none. He reached a hand out toward the cat, patting it on the head when he came without reach of it and gave a bit of a grin, "Hey there kitty-kitty." He said, before he wrapped an arm around the fat creature, pulling it into his arms. He hugged it close despite its lack of a pleased look on its face. One could easily tell that the beast would rather stay up the tree but the thing was going to have to deal Valens thought to himself as slowly but surely he started to make his way back down the tree.
The horse boy knew full when that he already had a girlfriend so nothing was really going to come of his saving this cat for the girl but hey, he couldn't resist a woman no matter if he were taken or not. They were one of his biggest weakness, if he were a hero women would by his kryptonic he decided as he made his way down. Branch by branch he was descending down from the high branches of the tree, down toward the ground where the woman, Ellie, and a few random people who found a horse climbing a tree funny awaited his return. Not ten feet from the bottom the cat decided that it was through with the ride and jumped from Valens's arms. The horse gave a cry of surprised, made a grab at the cat but missed, flailed when he realized he wasn't holding onto anything, then landed in the grass with an 'oomph' sound. He laid there for a long moment before insult was added to injury as the cat that landed in the branches of the tree as he fell jump down onto him and ran over to his owner.
Ellie gave the cat a long, hard look before shaking her head, "Very rude, Mister Feline." She scolded the cat before trotting over to Valens and laid down next to him while he recovered from getting the air knocked from his lungs. He was a tough one so she knew a small fall like that wouldn't beat him. She lowered her head to rest it on his stomach and waited for him to get over his landing.
It didn't really take all that long before he was sitting up, rubbing himself where it ached before he pushed up to his feet, "That was so not graceful." He told himself before he looked around, spotting the girl as she walked away with her cat, smiling, petting, and loving on the fluffy creature without so much as a thank you. He blinked a couple times, looked a bit hurt, then gave a snort, "Remind me next time I see that cat to punt it." He muttered, all that work and no reward... what a failure of an endeavor he thought as he looked around back and forth, picked an arbitrary direction, and started off once more. Well that hadn't gone well but there were other things to do out there and he would find them!

Name: Valens Sammael-Black
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Aspirations or Goals:
This will sound rather strange but really want to work with those guys you see on the street that build things. Construction workers they are called, they seem to have a cool job and I would be useful in that I am quite strong both naturally and because I can enhance it with my magic. Its not exactly a lofty goal but I don't really see myself becoming one of those rocket surgery sorts.
Dragon's Name: Ellie
Dragon's Gender: Female
Dragon's Species: Silver
How would you describe your relationship with your dragon?
I think that we get along well enough though maybe at times I can frustrate her with how I act at times. I am often putting myself into situations where I end up with bumps and bruises, I run around non-stop, and end up destroying a lot of clothing. Speaking she loves to pick out clothing for me though what she likes and what I like are very different. I have no sense of direction so she often has to lead the way but I think that she likes that... and I have this sneaking suspicion that she might feel like she is to small, then again I feel a bit to big at times so... heh, we will figure it out.
*****
Has your child had any medical conditions or troubles?
Lamiah: Nothing more then the normal bumps and bruises that come along with being a rather physical child. In fact I am a little surprised that he's not hurt himself more then that given hes spoken of falling out of frees on a few occasions.
LaVey: Conditions? I am pretty sure hes fallen on his head a few times as hes not exactly the brightest of kids but physically he seems well enough given everything that hes seen... I doubt seeing someone give birth is normally on the agenda for someone his age.
Has your child had any psychological troubles? Or just general misbehaviors?
Lamiah: Valens seems to be lacking in any sense of direction which causes him to often get lost or be late for things. Of late hes taken up practicing a lot with his naginata that he got from his melee teacher, its great to see him able to focus on something and not only better focus but do it consistently as he would normally rather just race around from place to place. I must thank that teacher one day.
LaVey: Hes not exactly the brightest crayon in the box... and he has no internal compass. I wonder at times if that kid would make it home if it weren't for the dragon that travels with him.
On a whole, how would you (as a parent) say your child is doing in his or her overall life?
Lamiah: Valens is a good boy and he tries hard even though he has his troubles. Hes a good boy that any parents should love as he will even sit still for me, even when he doesn't like to do that in the least, so that I can brush the debris from his hair and braid it for him. Its always something easiest to do when I catch him before he heads out for the day and while hes eating. LaVey teases me at times telling me to remember we have a son and not a daughter but Valens has such pretty hair I can't help but to want to style it.
Speaking of the boy eats exactly like what he is, a horse. It makes a woman happy as it gives me time to practice a lot of cooking. It gives me a challenge as well to prepare meals for him given his diet. Not sure if D-Corp knows, or if its important in any way but Valens is a vegetarian.
LaVey: I suppose overall he is a good kid, I won't admit it out loud and especially not to his mother but I worry at times about him. His mother coddles him a bit and his dragon seems to have to help him out a lot where some things are concerned. Not ot mention that he is very strong and it something that he has to be very careful with so he doesn't hurt anyone. He seems to be aware of himself though, both in size and strength, as he is careful... I mean he just stood there and let a girl in labor abuse him so that proves he can hold himself back. Or maybe its just a short thing since they are used to getting kicked and prodded by people?
Don't let the boy know I am praising him as he doesn't need two parents doing that, his mother is already the voice of praise and love. Someone needs to be a more strict sort even if the Lamiah and Valens are always pleased by it.
